History On Li:
Red was once a quiet 11-year-old boy from Pallet Town with a timeless dream in his heart: Not just to be the best Pokémon Trainer there ever was, but to be the very best--that no one ever was.
Armed with a nimble, quick and rather Hasty Squirtle, Red set off on his Pokémon Journey, bent on making this dream come true.
One day, while exploring a Ruined Zoo, Red bumped into a timid youth with PSI named Lucas, and the two were ambushed by the Subspace Army. After teaming up and taking down a wave of Subspace Army grunts, they became traveling companions. Spotting a wild Charizard flying toward some ancient Ruins, Red insisted that they follow it and catch it. Deep within the underground labyrinth, Red found the trophy of a Rash Ivysaur. Happy to have found a way out of the Ruins, Ivysaur was particularly eager to join Red's team and entered his Pokéball without so much as a fight. This was the start of a close bond between the two.
Soon, at the centre of the Ruins, Red tracked down the Adamant Charizard and defeated it in battle, capturing it fair and square.
Later, after teaming up with more Smash Brothers and saving the world from the Subspace Army, Red and Lucas parted ways.
Returning to Kanto with his new team of Pokémon, Red's travels were impeded by a Relaxed Snorlax, sleeping lazily, and inconveniently, in the middle of a 4-way intersection. Waking it up and capturing it with minimal effort, Red added the powerfully lazy Snorlax to his team.
Making his way through Celadon City, Red encountered a Timid Eevee which fled the battle, waving its tail at him as if challenging him to find it. Using his intuition and cunning, Red tracked the Eevee down, hiding out on the roof of a Celadon condominium. An intellectual bond was formed between the two and Eevee evolved into an Espeon thanks to this friendship.
After saving the Silph Co. headquarters from a criminal organization known as Team Rocket, Red was given a Gentle Lapras as a reward. The poor baby must have been a target for the team's evil schemes in Pokémon exploitation.
After beating the Elite Four and claiming the title of Champion of Kanto from Green, Red left to resume his quest to be the best. As a wandering trainer, he dauntlessly pressed onward, challenging other trainers and competing in tournaments across the globe. His success and reputation preceded him wherever he went, but it was never enough. Everywhere he went, there was a new trainer that wanted to face him for his title. Another trainer to prove to him he was yet to be the very best. This slowly began to wear on his well-being. Never satisfied with his progress, he eventually made his way to the caves of Mt. Silver, where he rigorously trained his Pokémon in complete isolation. He became so distant from the people close to him that he didn't even phone his mom anymore.
When the world as he knew it became Li, a ruined world under the threat of Starvia, Red sought the icy solitude of the Icicle Peak to train his Pokémon to combat this threat. While up there, alone on the summit, he and his team were trapped in an avalanche and trophified. A later avalanche freed them, and once restored to life, Red had hesitant but curiously descended from the mountain and see what had become of the world in his absence.
