The young demon girl, Desco, had wandered around Life Sphere Central. She was a new arrival from a dimension not yet well known in this place and sought a way back home. After all, she hadn't actually told anyone she was going out. Big sis would probably be worried. However, this was a strange place. Humans, aliens, and demons alike wandered these fairly well-kept streets. She asked around for as much information as she could think to ask about.

A shopkeeper told her that he had never heard of a Netherworld region before.

The performing street clown didn't know what Hades or Earth were.

Children hadn't even seen a Prinny before!

This was a strange place indeed. Nobody could direct her to an Item Guide or a Dimension Guide, anyone with knowledge of trans-spatial magic. She couldn't even find a Rosenqueen branch! What kind of backwater city didn't have one of the most famous shops in all of the Netherworlds. Even private dimensions and castles reserved some space for a representative to sell their goods. You could order just about anything with enough HL at Rosenqueen's.

So that brought Desco here now, somewhere between the roads into the city proper and the fields of crops in Harvest Acres. Birds lazily flew overhead in the sky with a sun that was about to start to set. Desco was sprawled out along the side of the road.

A cute little rumble sounded out from her. "Desco is hungry..."

She hadn't well prepared for a trip this long away from home. Desco had already consumed the snacks she had on hand a while ago and she hadn't brought any cash with her to buy anything. "Desco could eat a dragon..."

A sound interrupted her grumbling to herself. The sound of hoofs and wooden wheels along the well traveled path. Desco pushed herself up to look at the source of the sound. It was a mule-drawn cart filled with a heaping pile of cabbages! She stared blankly at the cart before an idea surfaced. An idea she was all too eager to fulfill without thinking too hard about it.

The cart was already close, almost starting to pass her. The driver sitting above barely paid attention to her, this was the Life Sphere after all and a well-traveled road. What happened next would surprise him completely. In an instant, a tentacled monstrosity appeared behind the the little demon girl. It's small, off-center, and  emotionless eye stared out from behind Desco while she waved her arm forward and two tentacles stretched out, almost like they were made of rubber. They opened up showing a row of neat, sharp teeth and bit through the harness keeping the mule attached to the cart.

The mule trodded on, not particularly caring that its burden had suddenly lifted, while the cart itself ground to a halt with a loud bang, throwing the rider forward onto the ground. The cabbages shifted with the sudden movement and many of them fell forward, following behind the former driver.

Desco put her hands at her hips, withdrawing the tentacles. Her tail, barely visible normally, grew to a size as large and long as she is tall pushing her little body up into the air. With an exited smile and without malice, she cleared her throat proudly announced herself with a voice slightly deeper than normal. "Behold the might and majesty of the ultimate weapon! Desco has decided that you will pay tribute to her greatness, commoner!"

With that, Desco's tentacles quickly started to scoop up the cabbages and swallow them whole into the void where she kept things, as she picked up one herself with her hands and started ripping taking huge bites of it with her humanoid mouth. While she was eating, her eyes glanced at the man whose produce she was stealing.

He had scrambled upright to look at what Desco was doing. Seeing the cabbages disappearing like flies, the driver could only cry out one thing, horrified. "My cabbages!", he shouted.

Big and Froggy were making their usual rounds salivating over the food stands and plentiful morsels growing and sprouting all around Harvest Acres(It was their favorite place to be after all) deciding how much coin they had to spend on groceries here to take home and devour after a hard day's work; which in Big's most recent case, was an exhausting Halloween Party that only him and Froggy really stayed back to clean up after it was over. Granted it was Big's party that he threw anyway, therefore him and Froggy took responsibility of the mess, and it was a banger! This made him somewhat content; though he or Froggy didn't win any of the prizes given away that day and at his own party nonetheless, but they're over it! Because now, they get to eat and relax! That is, until Big and Froggy raised an alerted gaze to a short star fish like girl with some nasty sharp swords causing a ruckus at the cabbage stands.

After hearing the merchant cry out about his merchandise, Big and Froggy made their way to the adolescent freely chomping away at the vegetables without paying and heard them shouting some demands prompting the duo to attempt to stop this foul act. "Hey little star girl with sharp things, please stop eating all the food. There are so many of us that rely on the resources here and pay good coin to get fed fairly. That is not how things are done around here unfortunately." Big couldn't make his statement or intentions any clearer than that. "Maybe we can go find you free food somewhere else, or have you come with us on a mission or something to accrue some payment to pay for this. I think it's better than any other consequences if you stop now. We can agree to refund this lowly cabbage dealer when we are all done getting the moolah." This would be the only alternative Big could think to offer, and Froggy croaked in agreement; the right thing needed to be done.

After a hard days work, Pac-Man could be found sitting on a bench in Harvest Acres. He had began to make it a regular habit over the past week or so. Come and check how the crops were doing, help out where he could, maybe take a sample or two (long as no one came along to chase him off), and take a breather. It was a nice way to round off the day before heading back to his place.

Pac-Man sat back, watching the descending sun with a smile covering his face. His boots swayed back and forth, left then right, as if to a rhythm. His mind was going over what he would want to eat tonight. He had his place chock-full of goodies he had picked up from different places. Berries, mushrooms, and lots and lots of fruit. He'd tear through all of it in one night if he weren't careful. It was difficult to keep his appetite down compared to how he could eat to his heart's content before. Sure, it left him feeling not the best but he could manage. Everyone else needed to eat too.

He began to zone out as his mind began to wander.  Strawberries led to strawberry shortcake which led to a pac-dot parfait.  It all sounded good.  Oh, or maybe even a chocolate-covered---

The sudden crash snapped him out of his trance and caused him to jump. Sighing, Pac hopped up out of his seat. "It's always something," he muttered, spinning himself around and going to see what the damage was.

Pac-Man may have been staring at the strewn cabbage a bit longer than he should've when assessing the situation but he came back to his senses.  Someone had beat him there and was giving the hungry child a talking to. Pac shook his head, looking around at the mess. He wouldn't let food go to waste like this. Had to stay focused though.

"Sorry m'lord, but things don't quite work that way around here".

The yellow guy frowned.  He crossed his arms and tapped his right boot against the ground a few times.  He wasn't even sure what he was looking at but if this was an ultimate weapon, he wasn't feeling the slightest bit intimidated.

A smile had been spread across Desco's face between bites of cabbage after the merchant had cried out. It did not stop as she looked upon a a large white and purple cat with a tiny strange froglike creature perched on him. She immediately assumed this person was a demon, as he was not humanoid enough or weird enough to be an alien.

At least, she smiled until he spoke. She switched from her happy expression to confusion. Not how things are done? Free food somewhere else? Pay back? None of this was something she was expecting to hear. He didn't seem to be angry at Desco, rather his friendly demeanor just begging for an 'I'm sorry' from Desco added to the pile of perplexion. Her deeper voice act dropped immediately as she stopped what she was doing and hesitated. "Ahhh.."

Before she could formulate a response, someone else spoke. Desco turned her head to see the yellow ball with legs and arms that had addressed her as 'm'lord'. He made a lot more sense, despite his stranger appearance which Desco also mistook for being another demon. He said some of the same words though, 'things don't work that way around here'.

Something clicked as the young boss connected the dots together. This was like something Desco had heard about before, the good cop, bad cop routine. It was in TV soap operas that her Big Sis liked to watch. One guy is friendly and tries to be nice, the other guy mean, but both wanted the same thing. These guys were terrible at it. He should be meaner, and why would demons use it to mug another demon anyway?

She threw the last of the head of cabbage into her mouth and blinked several times while the merchant scrambled away from the staredown. Instead of grabbing another one from the much smaller pile, Desco held her hand out, and a tentacle stretched out to spit another one to it.

Her tail lifted off the ground, her body completely ignoring the idea of gravity now, and grew another 30% larger as it swung forward towards the two in a gesture. It did not snap, however, and just made a big woosh indicating her level of strength. It was at this moment that Desco started to frown. "Go away! Desco got to these first. Find your own cart to steal from, Desco hasn't eaten all day. She doesn't care if its your turf or not!"

Desco's tail withdrew, back to propping her up in the air, then she bit down into the fresh cabbage.

It seemed Big and the newly approaching Pac-Man was not getting through to this little girl. The oversized cat didn't like the tone or the aggressive behavior from the cabbage eating hoodlum and winced at the angry reaction from the criminal having one hand gripping his fishing rod at the ready and Froggy crouched down ready to attack or defend itself and his feline friend if it came to that. Big introduced himself to the yellow balled being next to him before deciding a next move. "Afternoon, m'ball. Or, your yellowness, I'm Big, and I was trying to stop this little girl squid creature from stealing cabbages, in which she clearly doesn't seem to want to stop. Would you like to assist in stopping this?" Big figured Pac-Man and himself were on the same page, so it was his hope that the two could team up and convince the demon child to cease and desist.

After introducing himself to the yellow rounded warrior, Big turns back to the culprit and gives a final warning. "I am giving you one more chance to stop this before we have to get the police involved. And if you continue to be threatening and such like you are, me and Froggy here at least may have to use force for our safety, and the safety of the cabbage peddler and their product. Whether they ran away or not, still, it's not your food." This was Big's last warning to the creature, uncertain what his new circular friend was going to do or say in response to the situation further, but Big stood up for what is good and right, and Froggy did the same as both were at the ready to stop the eating binge before it got worse.

Pac-Man’s eyes hiked up a bit as the demon took a swing at him. He stood still, holding his ground, and merely shook his head. Yeah, he was starving too but he wasn’t going out and turning places upside down for his next meal. What was with some people and villainy that they just didn’t understand. That act never works out.

A small smirk crept up at the Big’s greeting. The name, well, fit him. Actually, Big’s roundness might’ve even rivaled his own.

“Why sure, Big. It’s not everyday I get to stop a squid girl thing from doing my gig.”

He turned his attention back to the cabbage thief.

“I get it. I’m starving too but you don’t see me going around causing chaos. If you’re that hungry I’m sure we could work something out but there’s no reason for this nonsense. Getting the police involved is the last thing you want to do around here.”

Pac-Man really wasn’t looking forward to getting into anymore fights than he had to. The squid girl thing had lashed out at him but he wasn’t feeling like he was in any real danger. He was used to this kind of thing after years of dealing with ghosts and the occasional other evil doer. If anything, he was getting more hungry the longer he watched her devour cabbages. His gaze lingered before he snapped himself out of it again. Soon as he was done here he was going to get something to eat.

Back to the task at hand, the yellow man stepped forward and walked over to the cabbage-munching demon. He bent down and picked up one of the vegetables and held it up, looking it over. His grip tightened on it as he was trying real hard not to slap it straight into his mouth.

“It’s not easy getting fresh stuff like this.”

Desco, clearly frustarted, kept eating the cabbage she had in her hands. Why didn't they understand the situation here? Why would one of them threaten to bring the police? That didn't make any sense, Demons didn't have police. But this was a strange world where demons, aliens, and humans lived here. Perhaps Desco would have to not assume they were like the demons she knew. Desco finished off the head of cabbage she was holding, then put her hands on her hips.

She cleared out her throat than puffed out her chest. With the same slightly deeper voice that she had used earlier, she announced her intentions. "As fellow Demons, you demons don't seem to understand. Desco is a final boss! Only heroes may defeat her, and no demon or hero would walk up to her and threaten to call the police.  Desco does not care to fight some mere peons, but if you want to play hero than come on, 'Heroes'!"

It seemed the criminal gave Big no choice in the matter and wanted to continue to break the law and argue with the cat and his new yellow friend. He looked at Froggy and they exchanged a nod with each other, they knew what they had to do next. "Alright little girl, if you wanna keep freely devouring our food, guess we will have to play rough with you and your....fish whips." Big was referencing the child's tentacles ofcourse and continued to use excessive force to subdue the child, he started with his fishing rod. He whips his rod in a large circular motion and snaps the line at Desco entering combat with the perp after exhausting all options.

He then grabs Froggy scooping him up into his arms. "Ready bud? Go get em!" He launches the amphibian with lips puckered at Desco to try and invoke a Poison effect and inflict the culprit with an ailment to weaken them by crashing its lips into the criminal's face.

"Really sorry it has come to this squid girl, but, you just didn't wanna do the right thing." Afterwards, Big rushes Desco the moment Froggy finishes his attack and attempts to ram Desco harshly into the ground with a Battering Ram technique.

Once he was done with that attack he scoops Froggy back up and makes his way quickly back to Pac-Man where now that the tides of battle have begun, the two would need to do what they can to quell the cabbage thief as quickly as possible before they have a chance to do any serious damage to the Harvest Acre area or, to them.

"A hero, huh?  Now where have I seen one of those..."

Pac-Man put a mitt around the bottom of his mouth, looking to be in thought.  He would suddenly swing the same mitt back out and give it a snap.

"Oh right."

It might as well been a game with the way she was talking.

Pac-Man quickly dropped the vegetable and backed up as Big went fishing for squid kid.  His mouth shifted into an expression of annoyance before he sighed.  Guess it was going to be the hard way then.  Pac-Man took a moment to roll his arms around a few times, stretching out the ol' pac-joints.  With that warm-up out of the way, the yellow hero dug a hand around in his inventory for a moment before finding what he was looking for.

"Ah, here we go!"

It was a ball.  A large white sphere.  Nothing special looking about it.  The look of hunger on Pac-Man's face though said otherwise.

Popping it into the air, Pac opened up his maw and let the witches' brew fall in.  A satisfied 'Mmm' left him as he closed his eyes and let himself get lost in the flavor.  He hadn't tried out this pac-ticular pellet yet so he was unaware of the growth spurt it would be giving him.  Pac-Man gradually began to grow larger and larger until he was easily towering over the rest of the two.  Opening his eyes back up, confusion crossed him as he looked around, wondering why everything was suddenly looking smaller.  He looked over his gloves then back at the cabbage thief.  Not sure why but she was looking real appetizing all of a sudden.

Power Pellet
This seemingly normal power pellet takes a user's full turn and all the actions in it to use and leaves behind a spectral version of itself when used, reforming after a thread finishes. This allows it to be used once per thread. When eaten, the user grows in size (+2 Strength Modifier) and is energized with a devouring fervor! All enemy characters must make a DC 16 intelligence save or be afflicted with the fear status for 1 turn. The user, after using this item, may a special bite attack for every action they spent using it, or use it once on every enemy at their discretion. This bite attack does 30% damage and afflicts the swallowed whole status on a natural 18+

Desco put her arms in front of her face as Big wound up his fishing line, lashing her arms. Then she brought her arms down as he was talking to his weird Amphibian pet only to get a face full of frog lips, pushing the back of her head against Yogsothoth. "Ewwww! Don't take Desco's first kiss!" 

She tried to grab the frog and throw him away, only for the big cat to charge into Desco. Yogsothoth held out its tentacles, lacing them together in a lose sphere shape to absorb the blow. She tries the slide along the attack as a sort of parry, but Desco's tail loses contact with the ground, sending her ball shape tumbling backwards.

Desco righted herself, withdrew her tentacles, and cleared her throat. "Impressive! For a peon you are pretty strong. But..."

Pac-Man grew much larger right in front of Desco before she could finish her thought. The impressive display made her doubt herself, and squeak in fear. "Ahh! No fair, you can't be a Final Boss too!"

Yogsototh charged out from behind Desco while she closed her eyes, scared of the new boss-like Pac-Man. It's tentacles lashed out haphazardly in rapid succession at Pac-Man trying to bite him, finishing with two trying to stretch out to bite together. Before anything could happen to it, Yogsothoth disappeared and re-appeared behind Desco in an instant.

Eyes still closed and panicked, Desco held one hand up into the sky and a red magical circle appeared at the little demon girl's feet. At the same time, a fireball formed close to Pac-Man and threw itself at the big sphere-like creature.

Not accustomed to his new size, Pac-Man clumsily stumbled back as Desco's tentacles took bites out of him.  The sudden fireball caught him off guard, that too causing him to back up.

Pac-Man took a few steps forward before pulling himself together.  A large yellow ball with a mouth was now attempting to gobble her up.

After the feeding frenzy, Pac-Man whipped himself back around to face Desco before uncurling himself, taking back on his more animated form.  The power-up, however, had run its course, causing the yellow hero to shrink back down to his normal size.

The food thief was no weakling. Big watched as it took his last three attacks in like a sponge seemingly unfazed by the assault and still very much standing but primarily focusing on Pac-Man now. Big had to go back on the offense before his yellow friend got walloped too hard. The feline was unsure why he wasn't the primary target at least yet, but he wasn't going to let the thief keep digging into the food supply without consequences. Unfortunately in this case, violence was the chosen path though it didn't have to be, it became the only feasible solution at the moment. Big continued to lay down the hurt. "Hey, Misses Squiggles! Aren't I the one ya want? Leave my friend alone. Froggy, ROUND TWO LETS GO!" Big picks Froggy up as he ribbits in an angry retort and starts cranking its tail like a lever in a circular direction spewing acidic liquid at the enemy.

It was a decent try but the acid wasn't reaching its full potential after the attack, so Big set Froggy down as it sighed hoping to have done better, and reassured his pal it was all ok with a brief pet on its head causing it to comfortably squint, then Big shoves his fishing rod into the ground and attaches the line to his belt rolling into a circle and racing around the pole building speed until his body was on fire, then catapulting himself off his line into the enemy with a Fire Cat!

The move was pretty off its mark with Big doing his best to smash his burning rolled up self into the enemy but was unsure if he hit anything after losing control of his aim in the end. He then stands himself up after the fire fizzles out and leaps into the air slamming his belly into the ground causing a bounce effect. He does this another time or two until he gains plenty of air and then propels himself into a Body Slam maneuver as he falls at the enemy.

Again Big may have been off his mark, unsure if he would be successfully hitting the target or not, but he kept his aim as best he could as he landed rolling from his belly back to his feet causing a small crater in the ground whether he hit or not and a large scuff mark on his tummy. He rejoins Froggy and picks up his fishing rod again getting into a defensive stance shaking off his recent round of attacks. "This lady is already exhausting isn't she?" Big was getting the feeling this stranger would not make this quick on them.

Desco's eyes opened, just in time to see Pacman close in on her and start crushing her with his giant mouth repeatedly. She could only tumble about until getting thrown out while the big ball creature shrank back to normal size. Battered and bruised, Desco slowly pushed herself back up, still on the ground on her hands and knees.

Big called out to her, and started to spray acid in her direction. Still recovering from Pacman, she couldn't move out of its way but Yogsothoth swiped the air at the incoming acid, deflecting it to the ground with minimal burns to her. Then Big came barreling past her, on fire? Desco shook her head and stood back up, then pushed herself back into her normal fighting posture with her tail.

She turned to see the cat belly flopping, and slamming into her from above. Yogsothoth shielded her from the attack, but that didn't stop the damage from coming in and something clicked. Desco's true power started to radiate at her fingertips and she glowed with a purple aura.

"Geez! You guys have already pushed me to my final phase! But I'm not done just yet! The final phase is always the most dangerous!" Desco held out a hand towards the pair, and the smaller tentacles stretch out, snapping at the big feline creature being the closest since he was the last to strike at her. At the same time, her two largest tentacles on top gathered an incredible amount of magical power. "Behold the true might of a Final Boss and pray that you can survive my wrath! Mwahahaha!"

Desco's tentacles opened up and stretched forward slightly, breathing out a torrent of ice and fire aiming to engulf them both.

Pac-Man watched on as Desco got back up after the beating she had taken.  That power pellet was something.  The fact that a pair of eyes were not fleeing for the hills afterward took a moment to process.  Doing it for so long, he wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary to occur.

He watched on as the 'Final Boss' began to prepare another attack.  This one he wasn't going to make it out of.  He didn't know which way to move to avoid this blast other than to just run.  Not much where to run though when the entire area is lit up and frozen.  Pac-Man was sent back off his feet, rolling backward till he naturally came to a stop.  That one left a mark.

"... Alright.  That hurt."

He muttered before getting back up to his feet.  The strange feeling of cold and heat at the same time lingered with him as he reoriented himself.  She wasn't backing down though to his dismay.  He wasn't wanting to rough her up anymore than this.  He would feel awful if he had to end up taking her to the hospital knowing the he was the same one who put her in there.

"Come on now, I really don't want to have to take another bite out of you!"

Desco's mouth couldn't drop further as she looked at the two surviving her most powerful attack. Even her Final Smash couldn't push out this much on her final phase. Still, they wanted to stop fighting? Real Demons would have pushed ahead, maybe these two weren't as demonic as she thought.

"You... you guys are tougher than Desco thought! A-are you really demons?" Desco thought for a few moments before stretching out her tentacles to the formerly stacked cabbage cart. Pulling out from her space within, the two tentacles spit out all of the cabbages they had consumed. Other than being a bit more roughed up from being moved around, they sat looking as crisp and fresh as they were before she had scooped them up.

"Alrighttt... Desco will admit defeat this time." Yogsothoth disappeared while the young girl crossed her arms and looked away with closed eyes. She muttered to herself though they could still hear it, "How is Desco going to get food now, her money is all in Hades.." Seemingly satisfying, the big cat wandered off to find the cabbage cart driver, leaving what to do with Desco to Pacman.
