Frankly, he was just surprised that Shaymin had talked to him. The idea that some girl in a fancy dress wanted him was over the top, and definitely not something he was into.

Meanwhile, Dragonite just sort of stopped and turned to watch Cynder and Paula. This... This was not working. He waited a moment for them to catch up before bending down and gently driving his arm into the snow below them, shifting to pick the two girls up in the arm opposite of Iris. Apparently, when you weighed twice as much as everyone else combined, you could casually carry the group! He then turned about and began marching higher into the mountainous area, paying no mind to the cold. It seemed that his species' weakness to ice was lost on him, probably on account of the massive amount of body mass he had to keep himself warm. From a few feet away, a curled up Iris waved rather awkwardly. "Hi! Can I interest you in a lift?" she asked. A bit late, perhaps.

Paula was hit by the cold, but managed to resist it before she walked normally, causing her to miss Dragonite carrying her. "Thanks Dragonite, but I'm starting to pick up the pace." Paula said as she continued to look around, which she was improving at fortunately, she began to look around once more.

"My search is getting clear, but I'm not picking up any messages from Shaymin, or Frost, yet, I hope she's ok."

Shaymin frowned in  response to Spyro not knowing. This was the same purple dragon she mentioned before right? If that was the case, Iris caught sight of him without him knowing. That made the whole situation of catching him even worst. But that may be Shaymin and her small distaste for trainers... Still, this is the dragon Cynder have been looking for and that was great!

"Yeah, probably best to be careful around her. She has a thing for catching dragons," Shaymin warns. "Regardless, someone in the rescue team will be so glad to see you are okay! Cynder will be so happy." Shaymin continued cheerfully.

The wind continued on, relentless in its wintry whips. A particular gust caught the pair rather harshly, Cynder shutting her eyes so the icy sting didn't catch her eyes. In that moment though she found herself being swept up by a burly arm, thick as a tree and surprisingly warm. In the move the dark dragon lost Paula, furling in her wing and readjusting her posture for the forced cuddle. She felt a tad embarrassed, honestly, pressed up against Dragonite's muscular body like a titan cradling a hatchling. Her own slender frame was but a tree snake nestled in a nook in comparison.

Iris' chipper voice cut through the wind, catching Cynder's attention as she made to settle her bemused expression to a more neutral visage. Dragonite certainly was warm... But it seemed Paula had escaped the scoop with a sudden burst of speed; putting her now ahead of the mighty dragon and leaving her alone to the elements. Although, Dragonite seemed to have more than enough room to include the young girl and with a storm such as this it could be detrimental to their survival if they didn't do all they could to protect one another from mountain's wrath. Even if this meant being in the arms of another dragon.

"I, uh -- it's... As long as it doesn't burden you," she finally settled on with the slightest of shudders. "Thank you," was added quietly afterward. She didn't want to be a nuisance for the hulking dragon trudging through the snow but once again she made to reposition, turning herself around and leaning forward to call out to their solo friend. "Paula!" Cynder reached out a 'hand' in offering, waving for the girl to come. "Shaymin is probably fine with that new Frost form. You need to keep from the cold." After a second she added, "Maybe the higher vantage here will help your search." At least if everyone was being carried by Dragonite it wouldn't look so bad.

Dragonite found himself bewildered by Paula's shenanigans. Was she deliberately sabotaging their efforts..? Perhaps it was the demoralization of being made to look like a fool, but he could no longer keep up the pace. Decidedly frustrated, the titan relented and allowed himself to forget what had just happened in favor of nodding in acknowledgement to Cynder. I mean, what was he supposed to do. "Dragonite thinks it's alright." Iris reassured, neglecting to mention some of the other things he was thinking. Sometimes he thought not very nice things... "Oh! And you're welcome. I just hope our purple friend is alright. He seemed pretty little to be up here alone." Iris went on to muse aloud, cuddling up to Dragonite's chest next to Cynder. She seemed pretty used to this, but then again she wasn't a dragon. ...Not on the outside, anyway~

Iris for one would shiver rather violently as a blast of wind struck her. As much as she loved challenging the elements, joy and pain were two hopefully unrelated emotions.

"Wow--It really stings out here, doesn't it? This must be what it's like in a Sinnoh winter..." Iris would remark, pouting at no one in particular.

Meanwhile, Spyro seemed unfazed by Shaymin's warning. "...Right. I'll toast her." he remarked rather confidently. He was tempted to ask about this Cynder person and why she would be so happy to see him, but decidedly had other things on his mind. He stretched his wings a bit and shook his head, apparently readying himself for travel. Prior to Shaymin's arrival he'd been trying to find some rest to weather the storm. "So, uh... Where is everyone?" Spyro would ask after a moment, looking around expectantly. What's with the surprise rescue party?

Paula slowed down a bit so Dragonite could keep up with her, she didn't want to separate from the group after all as Cynder called out to her, trying to tempt her to join her and Iris in Dragonites warmth hands. "Thanks for the offering Cynder, but unfortunately I must decline, even if i'm put in danger I don't want someone carrying me around when I can just walk perfectly fine in the blistering cold." Paula said as Cynder said that Shaymin/Frost might of found Spyro by now.

"Maybe, were probably near something anyway so I'll just see where Dragonites going and see where he takes us, hopefully we'll reach Shaymin, or Frost, & Spyro soon." Paula said as she started to follow Dragonite from behind before speaking again.

"I know you think what i'm doing is foolish, but trust me i'm fine with going the harder route, I've been through a lot of things involving death and it's nothing more then a obstacle to me, if I can handle, cults, alien monsters & volcano's, then I can handle this wonderful mountain."

"... You sound like Sky..." Shaymin replied in response to Spyro's mention of toasting Iris. The mannerisms of this dragon was eerily similar to her other half... Well, another third is probably a more appropriate phrase now... It was too dark and cold for her to activate Sky though so she will have to deal with the dragon on her own.

At Spyro's question, Land turned her head toward the entrance. They still weren't here yet? She knows Frost cut them through a lot of the mountain but they were taking a really long time. Did something happen to them? Land did not really have anyway to check after Frost cut out Paula to focus on the search. What if they did not make it? Frost could probably get her out of the cold safely but what about the others? Not to mention she had no way to know if they were still alive... Frost may of not thought this through...

"No idea... Frost flew us ahead through the mountain... They are taking a very long time though... So... Had any good food lately?" Shaymin asked... Mostly trying to get some talk started to stall until she was certain they were not coming. She can't really go looking for them in the storm afterall. Frost may have an easier time seeing and handling the cold, but it was too risky.

Cynder frowned, scaly lips skewing to the side, when Paula refused the offer. Though the dragoness couldn't be too annoyed considering her somewhat selfish reasons for pushing dragonite's offer to safely carry the crew in this blizzard. Surely the psychic would be alright. She'd just keep an eye on the girl just in case. The undying optimism of Paula was inspiring to say the least, but Cynder was having a hard time hopping on that train.

Relenting the peer pressure on the pink clad girl Cynder leaned back into Dragonite's bulk just as the wind blew a tuft of snow up into them. She shivered briefly, inhaling a waft of her own shadowy breath so as to keep her innards warm in the process. She listened to the others' talk, keeping her tongue tied on the mention of Spyro being small. He wasn't small. He was of comparable size to herself; he a bit taller and fuller while she was a tad longer. Though perhaps the dragon tamer was considering in relation to her mighty Dragonite here, standing over seven feet tall. Or it was a distance thing. Regardless of what it was she kept her mouth shut so as to not seem sensitive about her own sizing.

Hopefully they'd reach some shelter, even better if they were so lucky as to meet back up with Frost/Shaymin and even better still if it so happened to contain their target dragon, soon. If the biting cold didn't kill her small talk just might.

Spyro just sort of glanced up at the sky for a moment in bewilderment before returning his attention Shaymin. "Uh... right." he replied. Crazy fodder person, thinking the sky could talk. "There was a snow rabbit back here, but whoever lives here already had dinner." Spyro went on to explain. ...Wait, was that an observation he'd made just then? Something lived here? ...Something carnivorous?...That might like to snack on them? ...Neat!

...Crawling through the grueling cold, the group eventually reaches the cave they thought they saw Spyro in. Dragonite had to hunch down a bit to fit inside, gently setting Iris and Cynder down. There was no wind or ice pelting their bodies inside, which would provide them a momentary relief from further suffering. What awaited inside, however, was not the dragon Cynder had come to know. Spyro's head perked up at the sounds of movement from the foot of the cave, scurrying forth to greet the newcomers. The first thing cynder would notice was that Spyro was smaller than she remembered. Younger too, in a very noticeable sort of way. He looked and sounded very similar to the spyro she knew, except ... a kid?! It turned out that Iris had been onto something when she said spyro looked small.

"Spyro! We finally caught you~!" Iris blurted out rather excitedly, beaming ever so cheerily at their accomplishment. She shivered a bit in the cold, but as fate would have it she wouldn't remain cold for now. Spyro, having just recently been informed to watch out for a girl in a big frilly dress, promptly hunkered down defensively. "Yeah, now catch this!" he proceeded to blurt out before rushing Iris and spitting fire breath at her, taking the trainer off guard. Iris turned at the last moment, only to squeal as her backside was promptly scorched. "BwwaaAAAAAAAAA!!! Whatareyoudoing?? Not my fanny!" the aspiring dragon master squeal-blurted out as she swung her hips away from Spyro's horns, awkwardly dancing her way out of the way of his attack and bursting into a short-lived sprint as she attempted to get away from the smallest dragon of the group.

Meanwhile, Dragonite awkwardly made an attempt at grabbing Spyro but was decidedly unable to maneuver well inside the cave, failing miserably.

As Paula kept walking upward, she eventually saw the cave that was nearby. "A cave, do you think it's the one Spyro could be in?" Paula said to Iris as she tried to advance into the cave, but unfortunately the wind was once again trying to hurt Paula, however lucky for her this will possibly be the last time she'll be effected by the winds on these mountains.

"Ok winds, show me what you got."

After the odd wind attack, Paula was swiftly blown into the cave and sighed to herself. "Well, at least we made it without turning into trophy's." Paula said to the group as she lit up the cave some more by summoning a small fireball. "I hear something." Paula said as Spyro revealed himself, causing Paula to gasp. "You must be Spyro...But I kind of imagined you being more bigger and sounding more like a teen, I guess it's time or universe related." Paula said to Spyro.

However Spyro was focused on attacking Iris, causing Paula to gasp in surprise after all Iris did to the dragon...And they just met!

"Why did you attack her, all she did was just see you up here and start a rescue mission for you?"

Shaymin tilted her head and looked at Spyro... Was he questioning something she said? What could have him so skeptical? She did not say anything worth questioning or thinking she was crazy... Did she?... Oh, something like that.... Wait... "Did you say 'whoever lives here'? So something lives here?" Shaymin looked to the corner. Spyro acted like he did not know what lived here so it's been out but... If there was remains of something it ate... That thought worried the Hedgehog quite a bit.

Just then the rest of the group came in and Land looked back... For Spyro to burn Iris... He acted a lot like Sky too outside speech... Oh well, there was bigger concerns for the moment anyway. Iris getting burned was going to have to wait. "Nevermind that. We do have a plan to get off the mountain now that we found him, right? I'd rather not stay for whatever lives in this cave to come back. I kind of don't want to be looked at like I am some kind of prey... Or be a toy again..." Shaymin suggested as she looked out to the cave entrance.

Finally! They had found a promising shelter from the blistering cold. Though thanks to the draconic behemoth the last bit of travel had been almost pleasant, if Cynder was to discount her worry for her stubborn friend. She had been watching Paula nearly as intently as trying to spot ghosts of Spyro in the shuffling snow. Paula, on the other hand, was still chipper as ever. Her remark of the lighter side brought a crooked smile to Cynder's face as the rest of the group was released by Dragonite. It was nice to be out of his arms, though the cavern floor was like stepping on rough ice.

Not even a moment later the sound of pattering feet came to her notice. Cynder craned her neck to see the bounding purple figure approaching. Her heart lifted, catching in her throat, making Iris the first one to say something in greeting. But what spouted back was higher pitched than she remembered, and a little premature. She watched the display of fire lick about Iris in a state of confusion, blinking back and forth a couple times before settling on the form of her beloved. Of who was proceeding to chase the spunky pokémon trainer around the cave entrance.

Finding herself amidst the confusion Cynder finally intervened. "Spyro, stop!" she pleaded, jumping to intercept with a flare of her wings. She kept up on two legs as a precaution, ready to catch the horns should he cease to stop on time. It was at this moment his smaller stature became undoubtedly apparent. At first she thought it was a trick of the light, or maybe her eyes having been affected by the cold but... he was unmistakably younger. What was going on?!

Shaymin's concerns were lost on the dragoness, her full attention locked in on the bizarre situation immediately before her.
"Where have you been? W-What happened? Why are--did your time ability go haywire?" Her heart was pounding, a frantic demeanor coming over her as she struggled to understand.

Iris just sort of scampered behind Cynder as she came to her rescue, cowering behind the dragon rather pathetically. It wasn't like her to cower from a fight, but context was everything and the context of this fight was far from normal. Her fights usually didn't consist of her being attacked by people who were supposed to be her allies. She was understandably a bit upset. The cool dragon she'd come here to save apparently hated her for some reason and she didn't understand. She was usually great with dragons, and she was pretty sure she hadn't done anything wrong..! ...Had she? Iris began to snivel softly, not that anyone was liable to pick up on it while there was all this chaos going on.

Spyro, meanwhile, pulled back and skidded to a stop before Cynder's feet, startled by her intervention. The smaller dragon looked up at her with wide eyes, taking in all the information that was being thrown around. Questions, and... A rescue mission? Spyro glanced about for a moment before he came to the somber realization that he'd been tricked. The young dragon sat down in front of Cynder, giving her his attention. For reasons that weren't clear to him, Cynder's apparent anxiety really got under his skin. He didn't like that feeling at all, and it compelled him to listen to her.

"Uh... Hehe. Well--Last thing I remember, I was heading through the portal to Dragon Shores. Then I wound up here. I don't remember having a Time Ability."

Spyro didn't even have a concept of what time travel was, only adding to his confusion right at that moment. It would become readily apparent, at least as far as logical deduction went, that this Spyro did not have any memories of his supposedly older self. One could only reach their own conclusions as to what this meant for Cynder. One could also observe that Sparx was missing, though whether this was related was up for debate.

As Iris was sad over being attacked by Spyro, Paula quickly told the purple dragon about her. "Iris is a friend of ours, not an enemy, she was only trying to help you." Paula said to Spyro as he focused more on Cynder, who was trying to get the Purple Dragon to remember the times he spent with her, while that was happening Paula turned towards Shaymin, who wanted to know if the group had a plan to get out of the mountain.

"Seeing as how all we have to do is get back to the bottom, I think the quickest and safest way is to sled down as if we use any air travel the wind will definitely knock us down and if we walk down on foot we could trip and fall down and most likely get trophified from the rocks and stuff we'll land on during said fall." Paula to Shaymin as she turned back to Cynder and Spyro, with the latter recounting that he went through a portal to a realm known as Dragon Shores and does not recall a time based ability Cynder told him about.

"Cynder, I think I might have two reasons as to why Spyro's acting like this."

Paula felt uncomfortable at what she was about to say next, but she wanted to wait and see if Cynder got her attention first, she looked back at Dragonite, Shaymin & Iris seriously before checking back on the purple and black dragon.

"This isn't whats shes going to like hearing, after how far she came to find him, but it's slowly coming to these two possibility's."

"... Trip and fall down the mountain? That sounds a little ridiculous to consider..." Shaymin responded to Paula. Seriously? Just trip and falling down a slope seems a little farfetched to her... Then again, she now had two forms that can float and fly so not a big deal... "Wait, he looks younger? Well... Now that you mention it, he does look smaller than you... I just assumed he was short... And sounded like Sky naturally..." the Hedgehog replied.
