"I wish she wouldn't either." sighed Daisy under her breath. She had to be a patient big girl about all of this. She'd want nothing more than to save Peach from Rosalina's grasp, but doing so would be hurting her special one's special one.

"What the?" snorted Daisy when Rebecca showed up out of the Assist Trophy. This whole thing was getting more and more nonsensical by the minute!
"Uh, thanks?" she accepted the gift basket from her anyway, figuring it would come in handy once the fighting actually started.


"No, no yeah, you both keep hugging her hand." Daisy encouraged almost sarcastically at Lumio following Peach's lead. "I'll just be down here..."

"...Dodging her other hand." She sighed almost bored.

The monotony of this scene was broken up by the Eldstar coming down to Daisy's side.

"Believe me, I've been ready and waiting for a while now." she lowly replied, cracking her knuckles.
"My Piranha Plants are starving for some action too. We're all set to go in in case anything goes down." She couldn't shake the feeling that this would come to pass sooner than ideally.

Rosalina was surprisingly able to hold control rather well. This may be easy as long as she can hold out long enough to break it. She had to do it for her Special Ones... At least that is what she hoped before those dreams were suddenly shattered by a sudden crushing force from the wishes.

She felt her control return for a second as it seemed she broke through. However, it did not last long as her guard was lowered and the wishes came back even stronger than before. This time Rosalina truly felt powerless as no matter how strong she concentrated, they would not be halted. The thoughts to consume were overpowering her easily now as even her calm and reserved mind could not keep up.

Lumio watched the AT Peach summoned with interest before he suddenly got a bad feeling. The Luma instinctively flew away from the hand holding Peach as something told him to get out of there. The hand then raised to Rosalina's open mouth before going to toss Peach in as the dark wishes beat Rosalina for the moment. "Mama!" Lumio cried as he was powerless to do anything. He usually relied on Mario to do most of the work but he was not here to make movements for him. The situation suddenly turned very bad as the luma fell to the ground.

Peach followed Lumio with her eyes as the luma pulled away from her admittedly weak grip. She wasn't sure what he was doing, but she was sure it was--...Suddenly the princess was rising in a rather deliberate manner. What was happening now? She looked about in mild alarm, but that mild alarm blossomed into a full blown terror as she found herself staring into the back of Rosalina's throat. Oh no... That... That was not a good omen.

"No, no... Rosalina, please!" Peach pleaded desperately, in no way accepting of where this was headed. Unfortunately for the princess, pleading was all she had at her disposal. Within just a moment she was rudely tossed into Rosalina's mouth. Peach was no stranger to being eaten by various foes, but by Rosalina..? This was just cruel and unusual. "Lumiooo!-" Peach cried out in response, just before being silenced by Rosalina's lips closing around her. A moment later, Daisy would be treated to the view of Rosalina tilting her head back and a bump vanishing down her throat.

Daisy was now without either of the allies she'd arrived with.

Rosalina herself would've been forced to watch and listen as her special one was consumed, a terrible fate in its own right. After a few long moments, however, she began to feel a newfound surge of energy coursing through her body as she began absorbing what remained of Peach's strength. The sensation of being full wasn't a bad one, but given the context Rosalina might find it within her to call it unpleasant.

"Peach!" Twink shouted in alarm, understandably upset by what he'd seen. The star spirits moved to join Daisy and Lumio, Eldstar speaking loudly for the both of them. "...Daisy. If Rosalina escapes this place in her current state, it will have disastrous repercussions for Li. You must be strong. You must fight! It may be the only thing that can save a life on this day." Eldstar instructed. Seeing as how Peach's choice to ignore Eldstar had resulted in her being eaten, perhaps it was a good idea to listen to him. The situation was already looking hopeless. Could one really afford to lay idle any longer?

The void is full; What now?

((Rosalina! You are being possessed! While you are not technically infected, you are completely unable to escape the starvia's control. It suppresses your mind, forcing you to bring suffering and death to your former loved ones and comrades. You may attempt to speak and communicate, however, the starvia will corrupt anything you say into something cruel and perhaps even false entirely.

Ground Pound: Squish someone with your massive ... erm... presence! Does 16% damage and disables either a foe's primary attacks, special attacks or their ability to use items for 3 turns. The effect does not stack with itself. Roll Threshold: 18

Struggle: This attack can only be used if Rosalina rolls a 18 or above using her INT modifier. It allows her to temporarily resist the starvia just enough to hold back while fighting. This attack takes the form of clumsy yet violent movements, doing a meager 8% damage if it hits. Roll Threshold: 8

Lightning Strike: Using the star rod, call down lightning to smite a solitary foe! Does 20% damage and has a 50% chance of paralyzing. 2 Turn Cooldown. Roll Threshold: 16

Circle Wave: Launch a massive shockwave using the star rod. This shockwave attack deals 12% damage and removes any positive buffs on the target. 5 Turn Cooldown Roll Threshold: 18

Star Shield: Become invincible! All of your stats raise by 4 and any attack against you will fail, forcing the girls to use the peach beam. Additionally, the roll threshold on any attack you use in this form is increased by 2. 3 turn cooldown.

Nom: Take a bite out of the competition! Or not. Your competition is already bite sized, it seems. The target is consumed, presumably KOing them. Rosalina leeches 5 HP from the target's remaining health pool each turn until it reaches 0 HP.

Additionally, your star power buff has been corrupted! It is now called the Dark Star Power buff and gives you a +5 to all of your mods instead of a +4. Lastly, all of your normal attacks may now apply the sickness status condition in their corrupted forms. All of Rosalina's normal attacks and grapples are assumed to have a dodge threshold of 16.))

She shouted at the top of her lungs in singleminded fury.

And attack they did, in unison the Piranha Plants lunged out at Rosalina with thier stretchy necks and chomped away at her (thresholds bellow)

Lumio held his limb out as Peach called out his name... He was nowhere near close enough however to stop Rosalina from swallowing his other mama. Lumio's hand fell as his original Mama's lips sealed and Peach disappeared from sight. Then the last he could see of her was a lump sliding down the possessed mama's throat. This sadness caused the luma to fall to the ground in despair. What could they do if even Peach can't get to her?

The stricken star child stayed on the ground as Eldstar spoke. His lack of sympathy for what just happened was appalling but he was right. They could not let Mamas go like this. He had to fight even if he was not much by himself... Hopefully Blue can come back and pick up the slack if she fails...

While Lumio was recovering, the phantasmic Rosalina was attacked by Daisy fiercly. She was able to elegantly dodge left and right two of her Super Balls however. One was lucky enough to hit her though and cause some damage. The plants were a lot luckier as all but one managed to bite into her as well. However they were incapable of holding Rosalina down as she continued to fight.

Lumio rushed forward after Daisy's army attacked and began throwing his fists at the Rosalina. He began with a left punch and then a right punch. He ended this rather weak combo with a full body tackle... That would probably feel like a fly crashing into your leg.

Lumio really did not seem to be feeling this as there was no effort put into his attacks. He did not manage to land a single one after all that. He sighed a bit as this began filling more and more hopeless... He could not attack Mama... Why could there not be another way?

As Lumio was in despair, the darker Rosalina pulled the star rod back out. She clearly has had enough of these stupid flowers... Well, the wishes in her head has had enough anyway. A circular wave came out of the Star Rod as a shockwave was summoned to elminate these plants.

Lumio may of been in the pits of despair, but he sensed the danger. The Luma dodged the Circle Wave but did not take further action as the giant Rosalina gave a small hop, for Rosalina's standards towards Daisy. She gave a small spin before attempting to crush Daisy with a Ground Pound.

Meanwhile, in Rosalina's mind, the part that was still it's own, was barely there. She was definitely still there but she was in complete shock of what just happened. Her special one pleaded for help or for it to stop before she was silenced by being swallowed... By Rosalina's own body... And she was powerless to stop it... Peach looked up to her so much and she had failed her expectations with that one act. She felt like she could only blame herself for thinking irrationally and taking the Star Rod. While feeling full would normally be seen as a luxury, the Space Mom was disgusted. Not just with the action but herself. Perhaps it was the wishes getting to her at this point...

The battle raged on between the two girls with no end in sight. Rosalina and Peach were closer together than ever before, but neither of them probably appreciated it. Although Rosalina took quite a few hits, she could feel herself steadily healing from the steady supply of energy her recent meal was providing her with. Meanwhile, Twink furrowed his brows at the sight of Lumio giving up. The star child left the star spirits side to go join the luma. "You... You're giving up?" he asked, unsure how to feel about the Lumio's laying down.

"But... Think about the future! If you give up now, we might never get either of them back!" Twink protested, attempting to motivate the luma. "I don't know about you, but I can't let that happen!"

Daisy could tell Lumio didn’t have it in him to hurt his mama. She understood this feeling. If it were Peach who was bodynapped by Starvia and ate Rosalina, she’d have misgivings too. Lumio’s mama has his other mama in danger. Peach was Daisy’s Special One and she her at any cost. Even if it meant saving her from her true special one.
Daisy’s eyes widened in horror as Rosalina brandished the Star Rod and unleashed a Circle Wave at her Lumio and her Piranha Plants.

Daisy gritted her teeth in angry disgust at the way Rosalina laid waste to her precious Piranha Plants. Not a single one survived.For each ally of hers Rosalina took down, Daisy lost another reason to hold back. Daisy’s plan needed the Piranha Plants to hold Rosalina in place so that she’d have the advantage of hitting a stationary target. Seeing as this wasn’t to be yet, it’d be up to Daisy to keep Rosalina from escaping the shrine.

Before Daisy could dash over to Rosalina do deliver a personal beating, the mountainous maiden came to her with a Ground Pound.

Flunking out of the Prometheus School of Running Away From Things managed to save Daisy from Rosalina’s Ground Pound. 
This was the opportunity Daisy needed! Rosalina was still flat on the seat of her dress and wide open.
Staring down and looking up Rosalina’s butt crack, she seized her opportunity.

"Twink’s right Lumio! If we don’t beat this boss now, there’s no trying again!" Daisy as she jumped up to the tip of Rosalina’s booty crack. She activated Tango Tussle and shuffled up Rosalina’s back, digging her heels with each step to push herself upward. " We have to be strong and save the princesses now! “

Daisy let loose a Sporty Swing right into Rosalina’s upper back.

The Apricot Luma laid there for a few seconds before another Star started talking to him. The baby luma raised his body slowly up as the other star species' words came to him. He was right. If they failed his mamas would both be over. Daisy was also right, there was no Mario here so they had to rely on themselves. The luma rose up before flying towards Rosalina and did his signature spinning attack.

The possessed body raised the Star Rod again but this time she summoned the power to make the body invincible. The giant then sweeped her body at Daisy to create a wave of galaxies using her Galaxy Swish.

This time, Lumio was able to strike Rosalina, but Daisy, on the other hand was far less lucky, and Rosalina was slowly digesting away any hope of victory. Badumtish! Meanwhile, the Star Spirits observed Rosalina's invincibility and moved to surround Daisy, preparing to use the Peach Beam. "We've gotta do something..." Twink could be heard musing to himself, apparently alarmed. The star spirits recognized that this was progressively becoming more hopeless, but were sure what to do about it for now. Perhaps they'd have a plan given a bit more time.

The ineffectiveness of her attacks against Rosalina frustrated Daisy to no end.
Much to her surprise (and perhaps more to her frustration) Lumio did manage to land a hit on the neigh invincible giantess.

As if matters couldn't get much worse, the Dire Witch Rosalina decided she was still too vincible in her gigantic fortified form and made herself completely invincible with the power of the Star Rod.
"You are one stubborn mother!" Daisy barely had time to quip as Rosalina sicked a Galaxy Swish on her

"Well we're stubborn kids!" she amended, not yet giving up. Speaking of kids, Eldstar and the other Star Spirits descended and surrounded Daisy and Twink. She couldn't agree with Twink more that something needs to be done.
"Oh I've got a plan!" Daisy announced to them.
"Here's what we're gonna do: You super stars all get together and use the Peach Beam ^TM to get rid of that OP invincibility!" She instructed.
"As for me, " Daisy added, cracking her knuckles "I'm gonna get that wand out of her hand." she squinted at Rosalina with determination.

Now having an opening thanks to the Star Spirits' Peach Wave, Daisy took aim and fired 3 Super Balls at Rosalina's hand in an attempt to knock the Star Rod out of it.

The Star Beam critically cut through the invincibility and returned her to... Well, normal in this form at the very least. The giant space mom was pelted by the Super Balls as well. And Daisy managed to knock the Star Rod out of her hand. However, the phantasm remained the same for them.

The Apricot Luma meanwhile watched the Star Rod fly away and land onto the ground. "We have to do something". Those words rang in his mind and he got an idea. The Luma flew past the giant Rosalina and did a sweeping star kick to knock her off balance for his next course of action.

The luma managed to successfully trip up his gigantic mom before reaching the fake Star Rod. He looked down at it for a second before looking back at the others. They had a much better chance if it was his mom and Daisy keeping him at bay than them and his mom. Apparently, Twink's words went to Lumio's head before he reached down to grab and pick up the dark artifact.

...The Starvia hesitated.

Rosalina could feel their thoughts in her head. The general sentiment as Lumio stole the Phantasmic Star Rod was HOOOO BOY IS THIS BODY WEAK! ...They didn't seem to like that, and it caused some sort of rift in the hivemind. How ... rare? In spite of this, the darkness began to leave Rosalina's body after a moment like a flood of black, soaring into Lumio now. As Rosalina regained her clarity of mind and the voices began leaving her she would begin to feel a growing pressure in her belly. Oh. Right. That.

Somewhere in the middle of the starvia leaving and Rosalina beginning to return to her normal self the pressure would become too great and begin forcing its way up her throat. She was about to ... burp! An enormous flurry of magical hearts would escape Rosalina's lips, as well as one very flustered princess and her parasol companion. The duo tumbled from Rosalina's lips just before the shrinking picked up some real pace. Peach tried to right herself so that she could use Perry to slow their fall and land with grace, however they were both sufficiently soaked and it was weighing them down. Peach landed with a thud at Rosalina's, her crown landing nearby and rolling several meters away before coming to a stop.

Peach just kind of laid there. She for one had assumed the battle was over. It was a tad difficult to tell what was going on in the world from within a belly. She didn't realize she was still in danger. Perry quickly shook himself off, hovering in the air of his own volition. "Cool~! See? I told you giving up was a bad idea!" Perry remarked. He didn't seem particularly fazed by the journey he'd just taken, oddly enough. Peach on the other hand looked like she could use a vacation.

Perry quickly shook himself off, tugging at Peach's arm to get her attention. "Yeah... You were right, Perry." Peach murmured in response.

Meanwhile, a certain luma was now overflowing with his newfound power. Oops.

((Lumio is now being possessed! How unexpected... His affliction is similar to Rosalina, however he will receive some different attacks and mechanics.

"Yes! Bullseye!" Daisy cheered as the Star Rod fell out of Rosalina's hand. Finally something went right and was her determination was paying off. Lumio even managed to knock the phantasm off her feet.
"Way to go Lumio!" She congratulated from a distance before taking her advantage of a downed Rosalina.
"That's how you do it!...wait No Lumio!that's not how you do it! Get away from that thing before-!" Daisy warned in a panic as Lumio picked up the star rod.
"Oh no." She stood stunned as the darkness started to consume Lumio. "WHAT IS WITH YOU STAR PEOPLE AND STAR SHAPED THINGS!" She burst out in an impass of frustration.
Welp she had to brace for another boss round, with one more enemy and one less ally. Speaking of ally, Daisy realized she took her eye off Rosalina and quickly darted back at her. She couldn't believe her eyes.
"The darkness was...Leaving her to go to Lumio, and Rosalina was...shrinking back to normal! Wait, if she's turning back to normal, what's going to happen to-?"

And surely enough before she could finish the question in her head Rosalina belched up a flurry of magical hearts and a magical princess and parisol.
Daisy couldn't believe her eyes, but she wanted to enough to believe them anyway.

"BUN BUN!" Daisy cried with tears of joy as she rushed up to Peach, scooping her up into her arms and embraced. She was soaked in saliva and mucus and it got all over Daisy, but Daisy couldn't care less now that Peach was safe.
"I was so worried! I thought I lost you forever! H-how are you feeling?" She asked concerned, finally freeing Peach from the tight embrace and leaving a web of sticky slime between them.
"And! Oh my gosh! Rosalina!" Daisy turned her attention to the girl who just threw up her Special One with an equal amount of concern to her well being. "How are You? That must have been terrible!" She assumed, going to tend to Rosalina now-without letting go of Peach.
"I can say it was terrible for us." Daisy managed to find the time to quip, putting Peach down and starting to tend to Rosalina.
"But you're both back now right? You're yourselves again, right?" She asked hopefully. "And I didn't forget you Perry!" she acknowledged, looking at the floating parasol. She took him by the handle and pulled him down into the group hug she was giving his mamas.
"I'm just..." -sniff- "...So glad to have you all back!" She moaned, a few tears leaking from her eyes. "I don't know what I'd do without you three!"

It was then that she noticed the shadow looming over them, and she turned around to see the monstrous Possessed Lumio.
"And I don't wanna find out."  she decided wiped the slime off her face like a badass. "Because now that we're together again, we can save Lumio from this Phantdumb all the easier!" She proclaimed, boldly staring the Luma down, anticipating its first move.

Lumio looked at the Star Rod in confusion at not realizing the wishes... Rightfully did not find him as that much of a suitable host as one could imagine. After a moment of nothing happening however the power of the Infected Wishes transferred to Lumio who was bombarded by the power... Rosalina on the other hand regained her clarity fully for a moment... Which was disorienting at the least before she began to feel really drained... Which translated into her size shrinking back to her less tall appearance. There was of course the worry of Peach still being in her belly... But thankfully the Space Mom's body ejected her now that Rosalina was in full control of her form... And fell to the floor for a moment as the sudden feel of weakness tensed her body for a moment.

Rosalina looked as Peach and Perry were fine now... Well, fine not considering what she had subjected them to. She may of not been in control of her body and therefore did not intentionally eat Peach... But it was her fault they gained control of her in the first place. And it was now her fault they had control of Lumio. She messed up really bad by being reckless enough to steal the Star Rod. What was she thinking?

Rosalina pushed herself up and gave a sigh as she watched Daisy hug Peach happily. She put so much pressure on Daisy too with her actions she did not take the time to plan out. She hesitated in response to Daisy's concern for her. She was feeling guilty to the point she was not sure she deserved the conflict. Her Special One did not deserve what she had just been put to and she wouldn't have been if Rosalina wasn't so blinded.

"I could be better... My well being I feel is not the concern right now. I am sorry, Princess Peach. You should not of had to be subjected to... that," Rosalina stated. She would of usually used Special One or just Peach but she did not feel currently deserving of such casual mentions.

Rosalina then looked over to the Luma that sacrificed himself for their well being. "... Peach, I understand your concern. However, I am afraid getting through to him is not an option. Lumio is young and even I could not break free of their power. It was a struggle just to resist their influence. No matter how much I focused and your actions... The wishes are too powerful. Lumio gave us an opportunity despite knowing the risks. I suggest we do not waste it. We must finish what the false Bowser started," Rosalina apologized and explained firmly. Considering who it was suggesting to strike Lumio... She was obviously very sure of her statements. It was unlike her to even consider such a course of action. This kind of brought to attention she would not suggest it unless she thought there was no other way.

Meanwhile the new Lumio's Body was struggling to maintain order as a shock was released throughout the air. Rosalina summoned her Launchstar just in time before firing herself out of it and towards Lumio.

Rosalina then flew back through the air after landing against the giant Luma. Rosalina moved next to Peach and took out 5 pieces of candy from her bag and handed them towards Peach. "Here. I hope I did not ruin your appetite as I did mine. You need the strength," Rosalina offered... Part of her did not fully feel she deserved the candy after that last meal anyway.

Peach was abruptly scooped up. Who--Why?! She had to take a moment to brush some hair out of her eyes and reorientate herself, looking up at Daisy in bemusement. "...Oh, Daisy. I'm all gross." Peach murmured in protest. Given the fact that she was more focused on Daisy ruining her dress, one could surmise that the girliest princess in the room was indeed still herself--albeit very out of it. This time Peach did not resist being carried, if only because she feared she might still be a bit dizzy from her trip. "That's okay! I had fun~" Perry remarked, smiling brightly. Leave it to a little boy to be utterly unfazed by grossness. One could only imagine how his conversation with Princess Peach had gone during their time staying at the Rosalina Inn. "...And I've had worse from worse people~" Peach quietly reassured Rosalina, trying to lighten the mood. She was of course not being entirely honest, as being eaten by someone you loved wasn't necessarily any better than Petey Piranha, but it didn't feel right to bring that up given the context. It definitely wasn't her first time, and she was strong enough to be strong for the other.

Rather abruptly, a shockwave of dark energy errupted towards the trio! Rosalina was able to launch herself out of the way, leaving just Daisy and her charge.

When the trio regrouped however, Peach seemed reluctant to take the candy. Her hands were gross and she didn't like the idea of putting any of what was on her hands in her mouth. However, luckily for both Peach and Rosalina Perry had a direct line to Peach's stomach and was much less shy about taking the candy. After a moment of watching Peach not want to touch them he would lean out to take them himself. "I can help with that~!" he remarked, snarfing them up. Peach was momentarily bewildered by the gesture, but after the moment passed she giggled. "...You're all so good at taking care of me." she remarked, apparently amused by the gestures. The princess relented, tiredly curling up in Daisy's arms and allowing herself to call a time out--but not before imparting Rosalina with a vibe that would help calm her down.
