The sun had begun to peek out from behind the mountains, bathing the ground in faint light and causing the darkness to retreat. The hyrulian fields were quiet this morning aside from the occasional gust of wind. Fortune had found the two that it was suitable condition to explore.

Inspecting the device the police bot had given them would lead them to the last seen location of the anomaly. A small stone structure that went below the surface. Exploration of it would have been possible if it weren't for the fact that aside from the top of it, it was flooded with water. Tall stone pillars extended from the perceived entrance several feet apart each in varying states of ruin. Some worn down to constant erosion and few broken, leaving their tops jagged and bare. Beneath the pool of water bricks and stone had sunken to damaged to tell what they used to be. The entrance to the stone structure was partially obscured by the rubble if one were to look.

A few scarce shrubs attempted to stand their ground. Vegetation was weak here. A small patch of what you could barely called grass littered the barren earth. Few and far between. The grass was bit stronger around the remains of a village not to far off east from the sunken temple. If you wanted to call it a village was entirely up to debate as it was dilapidated beyond belief. The stone foundation of remained with a few standing walls and collapsed wood piling up in the process of returning to whence it came. It was a bleak sight.

By now the light had banished the darkness enough to see easily. The navigation would buzz in their hands upon leaving the temple and heading towards the village. Best place to start.

As was usual with the silence, it would be subtly broken by the sound of footsteps on the grass, which was indeed the case with someone like Gorgon.

She was quite young to be exploring such a place, her mind racing as she looked at her surroundings, many of the creatures that would normally attack her on sight, were especially wary, and this was justified by the fact that even they would have the common sense to fear a Gorgon who can petrify their victims...
About the only monster that would probably ignore her was the Lynel.

"Looks like this... Is the place." Gorgon said, waiting for her associate to arrive.

Tifa stepped out upon the Hylian Fields, getting a bit of a familiar feeling as she looked out to the distance... Well, this was no time to focus on the past. She was on a very strict schedule to find out where that door will open. She looked down to the device to flooded ruins... Best to save the possibility of these ruins if possible. She did not know how deep they go or if there would be much room to breathe let alone a point to diving into them in the first place.

She looked around to see a village in the distance and a buzz from the device... Well, it was worth giving a look around at the very least. On her way she noticed a... young girl? Well, that's what she looked like at first before the hair turned out to be snakes. Was this supposed to be her partner for the mission? She looked a bit young to be taking on potentially dangerous missions like this... let alone blindfolded. Who knew when one of those Special Infected could show up to wreck the party?  Well, too late to file a complaint now, she'll just have to make sure she did not get hurt if something comes up... "Hi, I'm Tifa. Let's both give it our best and if you need a hand, don't be afraid to ask, okay?" the woman offered the strange girl before looking around the area before back to the device. Should it almost be time?

Desco walked, blissfully aware that she was the last to arrive and fashionably late. But, a Final Boss is always the last to arrive to a scene if she is the one showing up. Although for Desco this isn't so much on purpose as due to her relatively low move speed. She was pretending to be a hero, and they too liked to arrive just at the nick of time right? So it worked for her either way.

The convenient navigator she was given led her to the other lady that was sent to this task. Desco happily walked up to her and waved. "Heeeey, Desco the Hero has arrived! Are you here to investigate the mysterious door too?"

The area was quiet.  Perhaps too quiet.

A long ways away from the party, the door suddenly appeared.  It seemingly flipped into existence.  It was as if the backside was the real world only for the door to suddenly shift in front of it.  The door was simple.  Perhaps one would see it in their own home.  A wooden door with shiny golden handle.

The door would just as quickly open up, giving no caution to the area around it.  It laid open in the direction of the two.  Nothing exited the door.  It remained open and empty, almost as if it was observing them.  The doorway did not stay open for long but for the brief moment, all one could see was bright and blue.  A few patches of white across it.  It was a sharp contrast to the surrounding area in that it almost seemed... lively.

Just as fast as it had appeared, the door shut back in on itself and folded back up, raising itself from the world and vanishing into nothing.  It was gone.

The area was quiet again.

Well,

Except for that noise picking up behind them.

It was like the fluttering of leaves in a storm.  Whatever it was quickly approaching them.

Peahats.  Three of 'em.

They flew overhead of the party, circling them before two of them decided to dive down onto them.

Two Peahats are attempting to attack you.  Peahat A is going for Gorgon and Peahat B Desco.  Roll a DEX 10 or higher to dodge.  Else, suffer 12%.

The last one hovered above them, slightly swaying back and forth.  It stayed up high enough that it couldn't be easily reached.

Desco's mouth went agape at the weird, flying plant helicopters. She'd never seen them before and her in shock, one dived and rapidly slashed into Desco growled at them as her tentacles went up to try to lessen the damage and then shot out to rip chunks out of the one that had slashed her.

"These guys aren't very nice! Let's see, plants don't like cold or heat right?" then gathered magical power into the top two tentacles on Yogsothoth. "Know Desco's Power!" A massive amount of power gathered into them, then they breathed in in twin cones at the one that had attacked her, and anything that happens to be behind him. As Peahats float above the ground, that might put an upward angle enough to hit the one still hanging back.

Gorgon would immediately be alerted to the presence of Desco, and timidly waggles her hand as if waving hi to her...  And then Peahats.  With one of them coming right at her.  She tried to dodge out of the way...

But she was unsuccessful and got hit by the Peahat that collided, causing her blindfold to accidentally fall off from it's perch upon her eyes.  If the Peahat had a modicum of decency in itself, it should have stayed in the ground, but as it stood now, the Peahat would become a guinea pig for the Gorgon, as her eyes began to emit an otherworldly and horrifying power, a power that no mortal could easily overcome without a tremendous amount of resolve.

Then came some beams... And these are the beams that everyone should avoid, including Desco if they weren't careful.

After fumbling to put the blindfold back over her eyes, a gout of venomous vapor would be emited to disrupt the Peahat...

"Meanie..." Gorgon would say, frowning at the Peahat that hurt her.

The peahat that targeted Gorgon met an unfortunate fate as turned to stone then dropped to the ground.  It remained static, stuck in the motion of flight.  The other two were blasted by Desco, causing them to burn slightly.  Little bits of plant matter was charred.  They were both blown back, unable to catch the wind for a moment before returning to flight.

The most damaged of them all made another attempt to dive down and slash up the squid girl.

Desco.  Roll a DEX 10 or higher.  Else, suffer 12%.

The other one hovered above Gorgon.  It swayed around in the air before spitting out larva.  The miniature peahats dropped down and began to descend upon the medusa, aiming to cut her up.

Gorgon.  You have three larva targeting you.  Roll three times.  A DEX of 7 or higher is safe.  If you fail, take 6% per failure.  You may also target the larva directly.  They each have an AC of 5 and can be KO'd by a single hit as long as it deals damage.

Desco smiled as her ally seemed to decimate one of the peahats and turn it to stone. So she was some kind of debuff oriented character class. She'd make great support for the Final Boss to deal raw damage.

"Ha ha! Desco is stronger than she looks you know! Mere plants can't hope to face her power!" Desco lifted off of the ground causing the helicopter blades of the plant to miss her feet. From her new perspective, Yogsothoth shot its tenetacles out to rapidly strike at the plant attacking her with little success. But while she did that, Desco held up a hand and a red magical circle appeared at feat. At the same time, a fireball appeared and threw itself at the petrified Peahat.
