Everyone had arrived and preparations had been made. Introductions were well past and only one thing was left... Taking the initiative, Ciel quickly spoke up.

Alright..! All of our character sheets are set up. Roll is doing some baking and will be taking care of us and the house. ...I think we're all set for the night! Now, whenever a character tries to do something that isn't inconsequential,  that action will be accompanied by a roll of the dice. Every enemy has their own levels and stats, so be expecting a lot of this as the evening goes on.

With that, Ciel demonstrated by rolling...

THE DICE

The moment the dice hit the table, something bizarre began to happen. They bounced erratically, higher than they had any right to in defiance of gravity. It was like they were made of rubber or something! Around the table they went, never losing their altitude. The display drew a bewildered stare from Ciel. She could've sworn they were normal dice--bpretty crystal themed dice, but normal dice none-the-less. 'Normal dice' definitely didn't act like that, though. After a few moments of staring, the dice gravitated to the center of the table and clattered to a stop. ...Double ones? Wow, what poor luck! Good thing it had only been a demonstration. Ciel recoiled slightly as the dice began to rise before their eyes, trembling violently as they hovered in the air. Oh goodness what now?? Without warning, the dice shattered into a million beads of light, showering the room in magic. In their wake, a figure abruptly appeared! He hovered over the table, dangerously close to the roof.

"Hah! I am free!! At last..."

"

...Umm... Sir? You're awfully close to the ceiling light.

"

The rather large man glanced above him for a moment. The building was rather tall by the life sphere's pragmatic standards, but he was still a mere inch or less from the light. ... More importantly though, was Ciel seriously warning him not to bonk his head on the ceiling light?

We were just about to play a game of dungeons and dragons when we accidentally freed you. I don't mean to suggest that we would rather you stay imprisoned, but if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could we have our table back please..?

With a flick of his wrist, the man shattered the ceiling light and the room went dim, illuminated only by the lights from other rooms. Ciel yelped in alarm as a shower of harmless sparks fell over the group.

H-Hey!! Who exactly are you, anyway??

I am the one who shall carve up the book as I see fit.

In other words, I... am your Dungeom Master.

Character Sheet finished up, getting comfy in her seat, snacks in the making, Ringo's excited to have a night like this ever since Maguro got the trio into it. She always liked listening to his tales about one of his campaigns: The Witch of Ice Cap. Ringo's pretty familiar with the song and dance of this game, so she's used to seeing dice rolls and monster figurines everywhere. She watched the dice roll, wondering what the result is...

"...wait, what? They shouldn't be bouncing like bouncy balls..."

Certainly shouldn't. It had the solid "dice roll" noise when it hit the tabletop, so seeing it bounce up with great force meant something was up. And not just because the dice are literally up, suspended in midair to summon a djinn that's taking over the game.

Wait a second-

"What's going on!? I signed up for a game, not chaos!"

Mukuro arrived at Ciel's Lab with a Mission in her mind...But she certainly didnt feel dressed for a mission. Pajama pants werent Mukuro's style, Especially not borrowing a pair of Junko's with the fluffy White and Black stripes. As wel, Mukuro had a suitcase full of Outfits, Nightie's, morning clothes,and of course her Kevlar Armor and some Knives. And in the other hand, She had a Decently sized bag of Potato chips that her dear sister insisted she bring, And was told to bring a Dip. However, Mukuro wasnt much of a Party Food person. Her idea of a good romantic dinner is a MRE in the battlefield for Two. She had no idea what Dips sounded good, so she wound up getting a jar of Marshmallow fluff. Sweet and salty, right? Right?? Oh dear.

"Ah, Hello there everyone. Im sorry im late, I was deciding which of these dips sounded the best..."

Mukuro had set her offerings of food to the gods of sleepover onto a table, sliding her suitcase of clothing away as she respectfully bowed to the group of girls she had to be trapped with for a Night, Hardly showing a moment to smile, Before sitting down across the table, looking at her respective Character sheet. Stabbing, stabbing, sneaking and some more stabbing. Its just like real life! "Mmm...Thank you." Mukuro said, as she watched Ciel toss down a pair of Dice and--...Those were some silly dice she had.

Mukuro was reaaallllly itching for one of her knives, though she knew her sisters instructions went against that instinct, So, Mukuro was unfortunately weaponless, as she watched the dice bounce and bounce and fly and boing around at high speeds, Before eventually unleashing a massive, Purple man, Whom, Mukuro glared at. Hey, This was her espionage take over, Why's he taking over?!


"Is this that thing where boys invade the sleepover to raid our panties...?" Mukuro would ask herself, Staring at the Djinn who had invaded...Only for the Light to be broken. For a military Operative, Mukuro felt at home in the dark and danger, But Junko's words echoed in her mind like Professor Oak. "Mukuro, Act like a normal girl for once! I need you to be totally not useless!!" Junko said, as Mukuro nodded...

"Go on, Midna, go and have some fun. I'll manage for one night"

Zelda's words echoed in Midna's head as she approached Ciel's laboratory/library. Even though Zelda still had to go through the last bit of physiotherapy to get her legs working again, she insisted that Midna take a night for herself. Not that Midna was opposed to the idea. She had been with Zelda almost the entire time she was healing, and to be honest, a night out for herself  might just be the thing she needs in order to refresh herself.

She floated into the room where the other girls were gathered. "Good evening everyone" She greeted them. She took a seat at the table, getting herself comfortable for the long game ahead of them. Once Ciel slid the character sheet toward her, Midna took a moment to look it over as Ciel explained how the dice worked.

The pair of dice clattered against the wooden table once, then stopped. Midna looked up, confused, and to her surprise, she saw the crystal dice float right past her face. Dice weren't supposed to do that, were they?

The dice suspended themselves in midair, rolling themselves over and over again, and in a flash, they were gone. In their place, stood the towering figure of a djinn.

"What's going on!?" Midna exclaimed. This was supposed to be a fun night with some other girls. Why did this guy have to ruin it?

Everyone's gotta take a break now and then. The Gorons stop mining to sit down and have a rock-snack break, the Gerudos have fun at that shooting range they have, and fatigued fairy companions of Hylian heroes take nights off for some R&R.

Which was why Tatl was here today, at Ciel's house, ready to play some games and spend the day free from having to nag a seemingly self-destructive 9-year old. Of course, Tatl couldn't just up and abandon the kid to walk around Li of his own devices (he'd probably end up getting lost or explode a bomb in his face or lose all his money at a shooting gallery); so, unfortunately for Link, the green-garbed hero was seated on the street curb outside their home. "You can sit out here and guard perimeter or whatever... No coming in though, got that! It's my time tonight!" Was what the child's fairy companion roughly pounded into his head (literally bonking his forehead to clarify). Groaning in agreement, Link resided to boredom sitting outside.

"Yo! Let's slay this dragon!"

After entering the home, perhaps a little too enthusiastic for tonight, it didn't take long for the fairy to get situated while the others set up. She was a little self conscious about the fact that she was the last to arrive seemingly... "Stupid Link. Slowing me down..." Tatl cursed under her breathe, not wanting to make any bad impressions in front of possible new friends. Because she really needed more that weren't Link or pranksters (Nothing against Skull Kid of course. Just would be nice to have at least one normal pal.)

...

And then the creepy genie popped out of the dice. Audibly groaning as Erazor began pontificating, Tatl was the first to take action; whizzing over and around the genie's head rapidly, emitting annoying chimes. "Hey! You can't just barge in here! This is my day off to have fun and relax you grape-flavored, egotistical, mini-boss reject!"

...she was just starting to wind down too...

Ciel recoiled slightly. What the heck was this dude--Dude! No dudes! That's like, the cardinal rule of sleepovers! ...Or well, that was what she'd been lead to understand. Ciel was pretty freaked out, to the point that Mukuru's bizarre reaction barely registered as more than a cursory glance. Was she making fun of their new guest?? ...Eh. He probably had that coming, albeit she wasn't sure it was the best course of action here. She decidedly remained silent for a moment, just sort of watching in anticipation of an explanation or some sort of advance. He wasn't actually... making a move to harm them. Weird.

...This book has been my prison for what feels like an eternity. Even now, my being is chained to it. Consider yourself fortunate, for if I were not you would have no hope of stopping me. To break this curse, I have been tasked with defeating whoever rolls the dice in a game of 'Dungeons and Dragons'.

Don't take this the wrong way, but wouldn't it make a lot more sense if we just chose not to play with you. I mean, I was going to be the dungeon master. I had a plan to keep things entertaining and a story to follow and everything.

Believe me, I'd love nothing more than for you to close this book right now. I've little interest in playing with dolls or dragons. Apparently, the witch who put me here thought it might 'teach' me something. ...Hmph. Yet, I must warn you. If you decline to play I will be freed. Then, this world is mine. It is one of the few rules of this game that benefit me, so don't expect any handholding once we begin.

Geez. Rude much, Genie in the Book? Ciel turned to address the other girls.

"

I guess the stakes of this game are a little higher than I imagined. I won't ask any of you to stay and help win this game for Li, but I'd be very thankful for your help if you did.

Midna looked up at the large purple genie that was standing in the middle of the room. Listening to it, it became increasingly clear to Midna that they would have to abide by it's rules, or it might escape into the Life Sphere and wrack even more havoc. There didn't seem to be any other option. Midna turned to Ciel, looking slightly nervous.


"It doesn't look like we have much of  a choice. If we just leave him here, he could get out into the Life Sphere, and who knows what kind of havoc he could wreck out there. And it looks like you could use all the help you could get with this. I'm in" she told her. If it was Dungeons and Dragons this guy wanted, then that's what he was going to get.

Mukuro mumbled under her breath as the stakes were quite high at the moment...It sounded like a plan right out of her sisters book as a Force to play along tactic. Mukuro felt that pulling a knife and trying a quick assassination would be the proper way to finish it off, But, Not knowing what power this strange pink blob may posses, Mukuro may as well play it safe and play along. 

This wasn't fair...Mukuro couldn't feel Despair. She couldnt feel the pure vitriol and panic from this. Was...Was she only feeling that when Junko pulled stunts like this?? Was...Was that disappointing? Mukuro adjusted her own character sheet, giving it an additional once over as she nodded. Mukuro gave a glance at Ciel's Hopeful addition to make sure the rules are followed...Mukuro nodded approvingly, Decidedly finding it for the better evil. 

This blobs despair wasnt Junko's Despair. Its a lesser form of Despair. Mukuro had to destroy it for her sisters despair to become the best, Right? Atleast thats what she told herself. A Reason to stay and stab this guy for ruining her night anyway!

"You made a bad decision playing a game of tactics with a Soldieress." Mukuro said, accepting the challenge!

Oh JOY, unsealing business afoot. This wasn't supposed to happen at all, and things just went high stakes as a result. Why can't it just be a normal night? At the very least, the rules are absolute, no matter who's dragging, or getting dragged into this. Either way, this game needs to go on, even with the risks established.

"Why can't it just be a normal night of dragons..."

Ringo, thankfully, has some experience with this game. It should go smoothly if following the rules is a must here. Ringo picked up the dice, ready for the campaign to play out.

Wow, Tatl was practically steaming now; with a short temper to match her size, the fairy was still ready to 1v1 solo the genie getting in the way of her first girl get-together! "Listen here buster, if you think that youcanjustbargeinonushavingagamenightan-"

Tatl's speech quickly devolved into a series of honestly annoying ringing noises, her fairy call thankfully saving the group the specificity of her wrath.

......yeah, she's probably okay with playing the game now.

So it begins, then. The world is on the decline. A plague of undeath unleashed by a powerful necromancer taints the land. Your end goal is defeating him, but be warned--He is level 30, and will not show mercy. You start your journey off in one of the major hubs of the world. It is well populated and stocked with anything you might need. A tavern serves as the meetup point for heroes looking for work.

Alright... We can get by with only two tents and sleeping bags if we need to. Sustenance is used to restore mana and allow us to avoid penalties associated with starvation. Survival tools are important for dealing with dangerous terrain. Medicine is used for healing without using mana. Training will raise your level by 2. And... information is usually a hint as to something interesting going on. I'll take Portable Shelter, Survival Tools and Sustenance!

For six gold you purchase: A tent that can comfortably shelter three. A tarp for shelter from the rain. A double sleeping bag big enough for two. And simple start it was, just biying some supplies for the journey. Midna thought about it for a while, then decided.

"I'll take another Portable Shelter, so we all have a place to stay.....Two lots of Sustenance, and.....A bit of information. What's going on around town"

After chiming erroneously for a good few more minutes, the fairy finally managed to calm down; realizing that, once again, nobody was listening to her, let alone the object of her rage. Fine, if he wanted to play; then she was gonna play! Rolling up her proverbial sleeves, a grin slowly replaced Tatl's previous frown as she scanned over her character sheet. [I'll show you to write me off!]

"Hahaha~ That's cute, Chuchu-muscles; but I got a better idea." If Tatl had visible hair, this would be the part where she flipped it. "I'm going to take advantage of my stunning looks to and 'convince' the shopkeeper to give us everything for free."

Somehow managing to pick up a dice nearly half her size, the scheming fairy grinned before sending it spinning onto the table in a wide arc... finally coming to a rest on the number-

Her eyes lighting up at the number, Tatl emitted a victorious chime before turning back to Erazor Djinn. It was almost as if the shadow of a taller, seductive being radiated off of the fairy as she spoke. "That's better! Now why don't you give everyone their gold back and hand over what you got?" You could almost hear the strain in Tatl's voice, as if trying to hold back laughing haughtily. This was great! It's like pranking someone right in their face, and she didn't even have to do anything morally questionable! This game was going to be amazing, clearly.

Feeling like she needed to add a bit more to the performance, Tatl put on a small pout, lowering her voice slightly. "I promise we'll use them for good. You'll help a 'poor girl' in need, right?~"

As with any starting venture, the group of heroes meet up in an inn. It was time to set out, but one must prepare themselves for the journey ahead. With six coins in hand, Ringo must spend it wisely. Or save it for a future endeavor. With the others getting two tents, Ringo could afford getting something else. She looked over her sheet, considering what she can do first, thought about it... then decided on what she needed.

"To start, I'll be getting Survival Tools, two Sustenance, and Medicine."

The shopkeeper professes that although life in the town is good, his latest shipment of goods has not come in. You have the option of taking a quest to go retrieve them for him, however, it will take you out of town and into dangerous territory.

Ciel's eyes widened in alarm as Tatl rolled to possess the shop keep. That isn't how morals work, Tatl! ...Among other things. Yet, her roll was good and the group was not immediately outed as a result.

...Or not.  The shopkeeper is unable to resist your wiles. Their will is now to serve your own. How I envy their lack of awareness. ...All of you receive your gold back, keeping the items you bought. The shopkeeper proceeds to open the back room for Tatl, where they keep their stock. It is yours to take, along with the reward they would've given, had you completed their quest. You find the following inside: 1 Portable Shelter 30 days of rations that restore 20 mana for each day's worth Enough survival tools for everyone. 9 healing potions that heal for 10 HP each. 250 gold And dozens of books used for training. However, it seems the information inside is only enough to get you to level 10... What do you do?

Ciel... did not seem to approve of Tatl's actions. Though she waited patiently for Erazor to finish, once he was done she was quick to speak up before the situation could get worse.
