It seemed their opponents had provided them with a great opening, Krexix' head snapping around and edging over to witness the display. Browser's voice scratched the air and signaled the beginning of their attack. The duo scrambled up the stairs and the oerix did just the opposite. His heavy footsteps fell on the metal staircase as he descended, the soldier jumping the rail on the last flight. The recoil of his leg muscles aided in the blood lust and excitement starting to boil.

With all of the focus on those raining hammers from the rooftops very few eyes guarding the transport would be on the ground. Of course there would be the danger of he himself getting hit with a stray hammer so he'd need to be careful. Luckily the chaos of battle was his home.

Krexix remained in a parallel alley way to reduce the chance of getting hit with the hail of the turtles, making his way closer to the transport. The closest exit onto the street to the crawling vehicle was just at its rear. As the machine inched past the opening to again be concealed behind a building the alien accelerated into a run down the alley toward it. Nearing the end of the alley he activated his camouflage, glancing up at the distracted Onaga and buzzers and noticing a streak of green shoot up from in front of the transport. Good.

Concealed from view, and sound thanks to the abundance of noise, Krexix pounded forward. He was at the back of the vehicle in seconds, talons of his free hand outstretched and forcefully digging into the exposed near back tire. He expected the wheels to be at least as enforced as a normal cruiser thus ensured he didn't hold any strength back from his puncturing attempt. Krexix remained in motion running up alongside the transport, aiming to tear a long hole in the near tire and then work on the next one; then proceed to do the same to all up to the front. His camouflage wouldn't likely last the entire way unless the tires and its defenders put up very little resistance. And if his talons wouldn't do the trick... well, luckily his spines were much better at piercing things.

The tiny chestnut creature was finally let off on the roof of some random building by his captor. The crazed dragon beast seemed to change his tone very quickly, possibly coming to the realization that he had the wrong guy. The dazed little creature wobbled back and forth trying to adjust to walking again after the ride he had taken, not by choice. The face of the creature still looked petrified in fear, but as soon as the winged humanoid left the creature mumbled to himself. “I need to call my lawyer.”

As the dragonoid fled from the scene of his terrorism, he sent a few fireballs at a group of Hammer Bros. The bros had just finished collecting a new batch of hammers as the rain of fire came barreling toward their location. One of the two outright dropped his hammers and leapt out of the way while the other hid inside his shell thinking that there was no time to jump out of the way of the projectiles. The one that jumped was able to dodge without so much as a scratch, but the other came out with a roughed up shell. “You stupid, Bro?!” the one called out. The one he was calling to retracted from his shell and shrugged. “Sorry bro, I totally dropped the ball on that one.” “Just bustin’ yer shell, bro. We’re gonna show that dragon.” With that the two of them returned to volleying hammer at the truck, though their aim seemed to be somewhat off as it followed wherever Onaga was moving.

As for Onaga, being pelted by hammers was not the kind of assault to shrug off from as he did take the brunt of that attack. Either way though, the Lakitu returned to the battlefield, hovering high above the battlefield. Seeing that the dragon was so eager to soak up the damage of their strikes, he tossed down three more Spinies directly over the saurian.

As Onaga spat another fireball at different group of Hammer Bros, he hit the two of them head on as they were caught by surprise of the attack. It even broke off a section of their footing causing them to lose balance and possibly fall off if they were tampered with further. They would need an entire round to recover from their hit.

As for the rest of the Hammer Bros, they continued their orders of raining down another fresh batch of hammers on both the vehicle and the ones protecting it.

The Spiny continued to scuttle toward the wheel until it was unsuspectingly attacked by Mr. L. The tiny creature was shot up into the air within seconds, hurtling high into the sky though did not return to his master since his location had changed drastically since then, though the being’s hurtle back toward the ground was not a pleasant one. Even for a creature adjusted to long drops this was like nothing it had been put through before. The creature landed on its back, its spikes drilled into the asphalt, unable to do anything but wiggle its tiny legs.

The Buzz Bombers fled after the initial wave of hammers to take the fight to the Koopas themselves. Each of the tiny bee drones sectioned themselves off to a group of hammer tossing turtles. All of them fired a stinger missile directly at their respective group. Each of their missiles landed. A good majority of them took chip damage from the Hammer Bros retaliation, but the group of Hammer Bros on unstable footing fell to the streets below.

As for the Oerix’s covert operation, he would find that the wheels on this craft were far more resilient than he might have initially realised. His claws bounced off the surface of the tires, scratching the paint off the steel wheels. His spines were probably not going to do much else to damage this section of the craft. Somewhere, Eggman would be cackling in delight of his trickery.

"If you hammer throwing bufoons were any dumber, you'd be writing backwards. Your Hammers aren't gonna do me in too badly, though I might have to take a reign check and start munching your heads." The Dragon said as the hammers simply bonked his draconic scales. He continued with his volley of Fireballs until he shot two of them 'Sniper-Style' at the Lakitu and again at the Hammer bros.

While he was doing this, he caught sight of the oerix trying to harm the transport as though its life depended on it, he didn't dare shot fire at it unless he wanted to have a dad run-in with his employer, so he simply gontinued frying Hammer Bros. with fireballs, moved in close, and snatched two of them off of the roof, giving the Koopa Troupe minions a sinister smile that said ALL TOO WELL that he was hungry.

"I wonder what Koopa Tastes like?" Onaga said as he opened his mouth wide and attempted to bite the head off of the Hammer Bro in his Left hand.

Well, that spiny is probably not going anywhere anytime soon despite not being the intended method, flipping it worked. Suddenly, Mr. L's 'Mecha Danger' sense was tingling as he sensed a sabotager behind the Durable Tank. Probably the fact whatever it was wasn't exactly the best at silent movement would also be a good tip off for the more observiant. Made-up words aside, Mr. L did not see anything and he could not remember a strong member of Bowser's legion that can also cameoflague... Camoflog? Er... Disappear with the environment. Must be a Bowser supporter in that case. Mr. L jumped to the back of the vehicle at lightning speed and attempted to disrupt the invisble man thing or whatever with a electrifying Thunder Punch.

The screeching sound of the two hard materials contacting each other tore through the air. Metal tires. That was unexpected, and a good thing Mr. L interfered with the spiny or there would have been some unpleasant road kill shortly ahead. This did mean Krexix had just forcefully stuffed his three thick talons onto a slowly turning grinder. In the surprise of the moment he was unable to recoil back and instead had his claws glance off and uncomfortably wrench him forward a bit. Luckily since the wheels were set out from the rest of the carrier there was nothing to accidentally hit, though he did have to recover his footing.

As for the Green Thunder himself he was able to scamper across the long transport vehicle without notice from Krexix. The hammers falling and bouncing off of Onaga aided in the alien not bothering with objects moving in his peripheral vision. However, as one of said hammers came down to strike the powerhouse on the arm he decided to jump up onto the transport in a light fit of rage. His camouflage was relenting at this moment he chose to jump, noticing a nice small jutting platform he could reach. Unfortunately for Krexix he failed to notice the figure approaching through the air.

An electrifying fist landed securely into his bony jaw. Krexix had only just left the ground, which would cause only minor resilience to the force of Mr. L's approach, thus leaving him with no way to ground himself to take the hit. The two slammed back into the ground, the smaller spines going down Krexix's back finding a place to dig into the ground. Momentarily his body heat flared up as the shocks traveled through his body and interacted with the bulbs hidden behind his elytra. The oerix released an angered roar despite his momentary daze and reached his arms around to snatch and hug Mr. L into his body with a harsh squeeze.

Apparently the hammers continued to be ineffective toward Onaga, funny last time they checked (at least in the world of Pokemon) steel resisted dragon, not the other way around. It didn’t matter all that much though as the Spinies that the Lakitu tossed seemed to go ignored by the winged lizard as he was too busy attempting to munch on Koopa heads. The spikes on the tiny turtles dug directly into the dragon’s back, the creatures giggling with glee as they wriggled around so that their incisions went deeper and stung the being even worse than originally.

As for the Lakitu himself, his cloud car was swift enough to avoid the bolts that the dragon king had fired off. Perhaps if he focused on one target at a time instead of firing off berserk style he would actually be able to hit him. The goggle wearing turtle peered at the three Spinies that latched onto the dragon. Given how successful the last attempt was he went for the attack again, dropping three spiky shelled critters at him yet again.

The Hammer bros couldn’t focus their fire on Onaga any longer, now they had the Buzz Bombers to contend with. Besides, his fireballs missed most of them by about a mile or it seemed like it, so the flying menace was not so much of a threat. He got a lucky shot on one pair of brothers, but they were able to recover within minutes. The war between the Koopas and cyber bees continued to wage on. More stinger missiles and hammers are exchanged between the brawlers, the result of which is one kamikaze Buzz Bomber and a fallen Hammer Bro.

The dragonoid’s attempt at a late night snack however failed as soon as his head dipped to rip the creature head off it retreated into its shell. “Probably tastes better than you, scale belly!” the bro shouted as he returned the favour to Onaga and snapped his sharp beak onto his arm. The other sprung out of his shell and did the same as his brother, but instead aimed directly for the reptilian’s nose. Being that their mouths had the same design as a snapping turtle, they were probably going to hurt just as bad as one.

While the ground had less of an all-out war going on, it was no stranger to fighting either. The two Hammer Bros that had fallen off their balcony finally recovered, their cracked shells taking the brunt of their fall. By no means were they fit for fast paced combat, but they were still alive. The dazed duo’s eyes fell upon the scuffle going on between their ally and what looked to be Luigi. Though they could probably lend a hand in the conflict, they were most likely going to foul things up for their partner as the two of them were too close together. Instead they hurried over to their spiky shelled friend to help him get back on his feet.

"Didn't your mother ever tell you that dragon skin is tough like burnt steak?" Onaga said, as he chuckled at the bite on his arm, the Hammer bro. that bit onto his nose however became burn fodder as Onaga inleashed a point blank fireball to immolate the Hammer Bro. "Apparently not. And Don't think I forgot about you rascles, time to turn you into hood ornaments!" he added, flicking them off of his back with nothing but his claws.

He them plucked the Hammer bro. still latched onto his arm off, and chucked him at the Lakitu with enough force to blind side the cloud-rider and knock him out of commission for a few hours, as for the three spinies that were thrown at onaga, he deftly dodged them by moving fast to where he was now behind the Lakitu, aiming to fire a massive fireball at him, the Lakitu wouldn't know what was gonna happen until it was too late.

Mr. L was caught off guard by Krexix going for a type of bear hug from the strange creature. Mr. L tried to struggle, but he doubted he could escape with his strength. Mr. L had to use his brain, he had to make the monster drop him, but how? If only he had a bomb or some other explosive he could drop... Wait! Explosive, that's it! Mr. L reached one of his hands down into his bottomless storage pocket and tried to make a grab for his L-Brand Missle Launcher. He could not pull it out, but a pull of the trigger oughta give him a chance to escape the beast's grasp. Luckily. through sheer endurance training, he became immune to his own explosive so it should only affect the affectionate beast that had glomped him. All he can do is hope the missle that comes out of his pocket will get the monster to let him go. Besides, if it missed, maybe he'll hit something on the rooftop by some off chance. Of course, Mr. L was in no condition to stop the Hammer Bros.1d20

The two struggling at the base of the building were not excluded from the rage of the battles above. Hammers and spinies being dropped out of the sky endangered the pair on the ground; Krexix attempting to crush the green clad human, of who was busy struggling to get something out of his pocket. Just recovering from the literal shock of the punch delivered seconds earlier there was a final spasm of muscles that constricted his arms tighter against his body, thus in turn further pressure onto the small frame of Mr. L. Luckily for the Green Thunder the twitch also made it easier for him to poke his fingers into his pocket and send a rocket barreling out.

The fiery bullet erupted from Mr. L's side, tore past Krexix' shoulder finding itself slightly redirected upward upon contact with the natural armor, and exploded into the building side. Shrapnel and debris ripped across the pair though the oerix taking the brunt of it for Mr. L, of who in the moment of chaos was able to easily free himself from the grapple of the larger beast. The flow of dangerous bits flying through the air horizontally relented, only a thick cloud of dust and smoke hanging over the two combatants now. That is, until the spinies Onaga seemingly brushed off came bearing down.

Krexix rolled away from Mr. L and made to right himself. A spiny for each of them, one homed in on Krexix and dealt a rather deep gash across his leg before sinking into the ground. This delayed the alien's move to stand and get back to dealing with the little green man. A bit of rage building at how the tide of battle was moving. He must be out of practice, which was unacceptable. The mask of blackened smoke hovering in the area made it difficult to lock onto his target visually. Krexix took a couple seconds to reposition himself in an arch toward the origin of the blast while scanning the shifting haze. When he believed he had spotted his opponent he charged forward, aiming to catch Mr. L and carry him along to smash him against the transport vehicle.

The armour clad caravan’s wheels were now beginning to pass by the final building in the Hammer Bros’ ambush. By no means did this entail that their voyage was over just yet, but soon the escort party wouldn’t have to worry so much about the Koopa’s raining hammers upon their transport. So far, the machine had barely taken a hit. Only a dent or two from the stray hammers, but overall the damage could have been much worse.

As for the grand deity that was Onaga, his attempts to flick off the one that had latched onto him failed because he under estimated just how deep they had made themselves. They were intertwining with his bones now. One was jogged loose and unfortunately fell toward the ground, but spinies were accustomed to long drops, so it took no issue with this. In fact the tiny critter was gleeful falling with his brethren that failed to connect with their target. Krexix seemed to make do with their bodies once they landed. As for the Hammer Bro that was blast in the face at point blank range, his countenance was scorched, but he wasn’t out of the fight just yet.

As for the Lakitu, his vision never faltered from the winged beast in fact it was near impossible for Onaga to sneak up on him or catch him by surprise because of a couple facts, one he was loud and never stopped talking, two he was too big to be sneaky in the slightest, and three he was a general of Bowser’s army so he had amazing senses when he was going up against overpowered enemies. The turtle caught his brother in arms as the mindless beast flung him directly at him and set him down in his cloud car. As the dragoniod attempted some semblance of a sneak attack, the cloud’s mouth opened wide like it was Kirby and absorbed the fire blast. The crispy Hammer Brother jumped out of his shell in order to escape the supposed king’s grasp and landed safely in the cloud car. In return, the cloud spat the fire ball back at Onaga aiming for his wing and searing a gigantic hole straight through the skin of his wing, which would immediately make him plummet toward the ground. “Didn’t yer mother ever tell you to shut yer mouth?” one of them mocked.

“Sick burn, bro!”

“Not as sick as yours!” the two of them laughed as the Lakitu looked to be in some sort of anguish, or perhaps it was a headache?

The battle between the Buzz Bombers and Hammer Bros seemed to become closer to a conclusion as the exchange of stinger missiles and hammers began to dwindle their numbers. The cyber bees were much swifter than the turtles (no surprise there) so they were able to avoid the same number of casualties, however, they lost two while the Bros lost three. Two Hammer Brothers were open to attack, so they launched their hammers at the transport hoping to do some chip damage.

As for the ground troops, which were limited to a pair of Hammer Bros and a Spiny, they began their assault against the transport since they weren’t being opposed by any enemies. They had a very precise and calculated meeting on their plan of action. “There’s gotta be something smashable on this thing, so smash all over!” One of them brilliantly concluded. “I’m with yah there, bro!” the other concurred. With that, the Koopas jumped onto the vehicle and began to bash their hammers like madmen to try and find a weak point. As for the Spiny, he began to wander underneath the vehicle, looking for something that might look important, but took his time since he was now completely hidden.

most unfortunately for the big cloud, that would be the biggest mistake it ever made as not only did Onaga take the hit, he literally grabbed his own fireball and threw it at the Hammer Bros. that were preparing to attack the transport, when he landed, it was on his back and it crushed the spiny there.

"Bad move..." Onaga growled, unleashing his full strength.

Next second, a very bright flash occured, this flash was the Kamidogu and now Onaga had began to ascend, little did the Lakitu know that by using his cloud to attack, Onaga could see an opening in it, but instead of doing his sneak strikes, he vanished, the only instance being a gigantic clawed hand rending the cloud asunder and crushing the Lakitu in a suffocating grip, followed by Onaga doing the same to an unaware and clearly unsuspecting Krexix, resulting in th dragon soaring skyward and piledriving both foes into the ground headfirst.

Surely this near deadly display of raw power and cleverness would crush the morale of both Bowser and his minions, as Onaga had become more dangerous to anyone currently facing him.

As Onaga plummeted toward the ground, the road began to quake and rupture. It was like a volcano was ready to burst from the earth itself, though without the lava and whatnot. Soon, a mighty Chain Chomp burst through the pavement, leaping into the sky somehow despite the fact it had no feet to speak of. A tiny gold dog tag jingled like keys that had “Jaws” inscribed on it as the creature made its ascension toward the broken winged dragon king. It could smell the OP nature on the vile creature and swallowed him whole, no and ifs or buts. The head muncher just became a full course meal for the iron hided beast.

Once it had devoured its target, the crazed eyes of the dog-like beast honed in on the transport, the next meal on the menu. It plopped onto the ground once more and began to grind its spherical body against the road as it attempted to run. Given that it had no legs, this was a challenging and daunting task, however, for whatever reason it could jump like a dolphin.

With the reflexes of a super caffinated hedgehog, Mr. L dodged out of the way of the spiny as he was glad he escaped the beast's grasp. He noticed out of the corner of his eye Hammer Bros ganging up on the Transit and Krexix rushing at the at him through the smoke since that was the main direction he was facing.

Mr. L took out his Laser pistol and shot at Krexix's leg in hope to slow him down as he jumped out of the way and then onto the ship's hull and pressed it to eliminate the Hammer Bros' onslaught. He was worried with how he did not see the Spiny so hopefully that gets rid of it.

That's when he heard IT! The most fearsome of all Chain Chomps, JAWS! Great, he should've known and now he lost track of Onaga. Time was of the essence, time for the secret weapon. Mr. L looked around for the Master Cannon's switch on the side of the hull and flipped it. If he remembered right, Eggman said it would take a bit to charge, he jumped onto the back of the carrier and looked in the direction of the Chain Chomp, his speed would do little and Chain Chomps were powerful, he just had to slow it down.1d20+4·1d20+4

Krexix barreled forward unknowingly heading straight into Mr. L's hands. The smoke hid the raised pistol until it was too late for anything to be done about it. A new pain shooting into the already damaged leg Krexix faltered and tumbled to the ground, unable to even roll. Whatever the masked Luigi hit in the digitigrade's leg must have been rather important. Luck was being very one sided today, however a trickle of it could have made it's way rather crudely to Krexix's side with the revelation of the next few moments.

The ground tore open at the might of a large ball and chain. Probably one of the strangest thing he has witnessed in this word. Was it barking and snarling? The oerix found himself with the time to recover from his recent hit with everyone else distracted, guessing the giant Chain Chomp, 'Jaws', was on their side as it hopped its way toward the transport. Things were looking up for Browser's team. Though Krexix was more focused on taking down that little green man.

Needing to lay off his injured leg it seemed jumping the height of the large transport wasn't going to be an option anymore. Krexix assumed Mr. L had likely disappeared onto it to defend against the larger threat so he needed, no... wanted, to find a way up there. The alien recalled the visual of the vehicle he'd spied before and began hurriedly hobbling toward its front. The limp in his leg lessening with every step as rage fueled adrenaline began kicking in. Once at the side of the cabin the elytra on his back flicked open to reveal his insect-like wings, of which buzzed to life to signal Krexix's jump onto the side of the transport.

His taloned fingers wrapped themselves around the side view mirror, feet finding the beveled ledge, and he proceeded to climb up the transport. Carefully poking his head over the top of the transport, Krexix spotted Mr. L at the back of the transport facing away so the oerix pulled himself up and carefully moved forward as quiet as he could muster considering his ache to pound into the humanoid. Thankfully the tiny tremors caused by the huge spherical beast getting closer to the transport would mask his approach until he got too close of course. This Mr. L has proven to be very perceptive. Considering this Krexix ceased a good half-dozen feet away and prepared some of his paralyzing spit, crouching as he did so. He needed to be as stable as possible to make the shot taking into account his target's movements and what little skin was showing. Though, soaking through the fabric would work too. He waited for the opportune moment then released a few seconds stream of his paralyzing adhesive at Mr. L.

The Hammer Brothers were able to make a few good dents in the armoured plating on the transport, but it was hardly anything that would lead to its downfall just yet. Mr. L was able to locate the vehicle’s secondary weapon fairly easily since he did take the time to become familiar with the machine. A pulse blew off one of the Koopas like it was a mere fly being swatted away. The other bro was able to piece together what was going to happen based on the urgency that Mr. L gave off and was able to leap out of the way before falling like his brother. He watched as his bro reverted to trophy form. The little reptile wiped at his eyes. “I’m totes not crying, bro” he wept upon sight of his fallen comrade. He peered back at the transport noticing the one responsible flicking some sort of switch. “This one’s for you, bro. No homo” he stated pounding his chest then pointing to his ‘brotha from anotha motha.’ He began to rescale the machine, lobbing his hammer at the switch in hopes to switch it off or possibly break it.

The war among the rooftops continued to wage on until there was finally a victor. The Buzz Bombers attempted to at least kamikaze so that their loss would not be in vain and luckily they did manage to take out one other this way, but there was still a lone survivor able to outweigh the odds like some sort of super being. No doubt he was getting a promotion once all this was over. He was still in very good condition to fight because this turtle ate his vegetables and he was on the top of his game. He began to leap from rooftop to rooftop to catch up with the transit and began to volley as many hammers as possible at the machine, making sure that his allies on the streets were not in the line of fire.

Back at the party cloud however, there seemed to be too many Koopas within the aircraft for it to make any sort of significant difference. The Chain Chomp was able to out speed them and it didn’t even have any legs! The goggle wearing Koopa looked back at his companions. “Whelp, you two aren’t going to be any service up here. Prepare to drop” he answered with a smirk.

The two devastated Hammer bros looked at him nervously. “Woah woah. Boss guy, bro, bro, don’t do anything irrational here”

“You’ll survive” he answered in a dismissive tone before the two of them plummeted toward the ground, exiting through a tiny trap door on the cloud. “Take down Luigi, he’s the only thing holding us back!” the Koopa commanded toward his falling troops.

Jaws looked as relentless as when she first appeared, barking and howling like some sort of canine as she continued the chase. With the vehicle moving at its sluggish pace it made the Chain Chomp look as though it was moving at Mach speed. It teeth clacked like the monstrous being it was and with it now only being a few feet from the transport it was almost like the beast was going to begin its feast.
