The Life Sphere and within it, the beloved Rainbow Square. Such a location never gets old. The square was chalk full of pretty much every resident within the Life Sphere to date. There was a flea market going on with fresh food and drinks selling at the plenty, market stalls as far as the eye can see set up in the square today, all sorts of entertainers and performers filling the space with their talent, balloons and confetti being handed out like candy, and young Life Sphere dwellers and families are enjoying the festivities and celebrations on this special day. What day you ask? Why none other than the 10th Celebration of Life Festival which marks 10 whole years since the Life Sphere was created! The biggest event in all of Li. So big, that even E. Gadd, Samus, Arle, Mario, and Sonic himself all show up to commemorate the day taking time off their serious duties to dwell with the citizens and be merry.

Extra security and police officers surrounded every corner of the square, lines upon lines of blaring trumpeters of all races sound their horns for the annual Life Sphere anthem honoring its prestigious longevity and everything it stands for. Safety. Protection. Creation. Bounty. And, Life Itself. A safe haven for all those trying to survive the Starvia and the harsh travesties of planet Li along with the evil and scum that dwells its wastelands. When you were in the Life Sphere, you knew you were safe and taken care of. There was nowhere else one would rather be, or need to be, with its advanced technology and ecosystem, one had everything they would need and more to live a long and happy life without even needing to step foot on the surface!

The mighty warriors of the Life Sphere are always hard at work to ensure the bubbled city's success. Without them, no celebrations would be had, and doom would follow suit. This event too, is to also celebrate them and their efforts, and provide their chance to relax. In the middle of the square is a large stage and a podium. None other than E. Gadd hovers his way up the stage steps in his snazzy chair transport device and brings himself up to the microphone attached to the podium. He is also escorted by the Toad Security Force ofcourse, naturally. Nothing gets passed them! The moment he makes it to the stage, silence instantly ensues. The trumpets stop, the performers cease, and the crowd goes quiet.



"Eh ehm...hello fellow Life Spherlings hoho. As you all know, I am one of the research heads here in the Life Sphere, Professor E. Gadd; partly responsible along with Samus and a few others, of helping create and manage the Life Sphere and its technology." The crowd applauses. E. Gadd blushes and raises a hand to them, they go quiet again. "Now now, no need for that. It's not like I had a choice for crying out loud, or else we'd all be dead. Ho ho!" Crickets. E. Gadd continues his point. "Anyway, today is a special day. It marks the mighty Life Sphere growing another year older, the big 10 to be exact! I never thought such a place would last so long and be such a saving grace for so many. It's all thanks to the efforts of our warriors utilizing the Sunshine Circle Mission Module to save countless civilians and stop numerous evil doers from wreaking havoc on this planet and on this fair city!" Another round of applause and some whistles for the professor. He raises his hand again and the crowd shushes.

"But it's also thanks to you all, hoho. For Doing your own part in making this place thrive. Like helping with the farming, construction work on necessary buildings, trade and supplies, craftsmanship on all levels, and each of your unique talents from our merchants to our entertainers here in Rainbow Square. Thank you from the bottom of my old heart hoho, for all doing your part in seeing this mecca to full bloom. Because of all our efforts, we are all safe and alive." This last statement gets a booming applause, the loudest yet! Professor E. Gadd raises both hands this time and the Toad Security Force starts urging the crowd to quiet down pointing at various heads in the audience ready to get mean if need be with some. The crowd goes back to a dull roar.

"I am not sure where our other leaders are, such as Samus, Mario, Sonic, and one of our newer leaders Arle, but I am sure they'll be around soon enough to also say a few things. But I would like to say one more thing. It is my understanding that a small group of you are plotting putting back up the golden Mr. Game and Watch statue. I implore you, DO NOT DARE BOTHER! Last time it was taken down it nearly broke several of our staff's poor backs. So whomever keeps rummaging through the scrap yard for it to put it back up, please stop. I beg you....anyway....that's really all I have to say for now." E. Gadd tries to remember if there was anything else, and he suddenly does.

"Oh, ehm, also, there may be some gossip about a recent sudden threat of a new strain of Starvia and a Mother Brain assault in the works...BUT-" The crowd suddenly stirs and causes a ruckus amongst each other. The Toad Security Force disperses into the crowd and starts squirting them with squirt guns to calm them down. It semi works. "HERE ME HO HO! BUT....As of right now that is just speculatory nonsense. I assure you nothing to be afraid of. Once the rest of our leadership team show up, they will ofcourse have more to say on the matter. But for now, PLEASE. Enjoy yourselves! Laugh! Be merry! Heck, GET MARRIED! Catch some ghosts! HO HO! Let's have FUUUNNN!" E. Gadd signals the trumpeters to continue playing the anthem. They do so without question. The entertainers then continue doing their art and the crowd goes back to enjoying themselves for the most part. But was all REALLY that well? Not for certain.


But for now, let the festivities...BEGIN!

CELEBRATIIIOOONNN....START!

[Sunnivale]

Among the crowd of watchers at Egadd's speech was Yumiko, Ayumi, Mio, Paula, Ima and Pertisia who were near the middle of the crowd and had heard news about Mother Brain and that new starvia, and this is after what Yumiko and Ima had gone through these past few weeks. "Well, that's a nice thing to come back too." Yumiko sighed. But she shouldn't be focused on what was happening outside of the party right now, she should be focused on the party itself and celebrate the ten years that the Life Sphere is still standing and worry about that later.

"I'm sure whatever happens, we can get through it like we always have." Mio cheered up Yumiko over her worries.

"Yeah, no matter what happens, hope shines on through." Paula would follow suit to Mio.

"You're right, Amakura-chan, Jones-Chan. I've been through worse anyway and we should celebrate, rather then worry about such things." Yumiko would say, with the rest of the girls nodding in agreement.

"I am eager to check and see if I can talk to the leaders." Ima said. Ze could take some notes that ze could use for future lessons, as that was one of the reasons as to why ze attended this party, as well as hang out with Pertisia, who was interested in being here.

Maybe she might preform too later on her piano, it seems like a good event for Selia snow to attend too.

Ayumi was busy looking around for someone that she came to the party with, something of which Yumiko noticed. "Hmph? What's wrong Tachibana-chan?" Yumiko would notice, which got Ayumi's attention.

"Oh, I was checking to see if I can see Akechi-kun from here. I came to the party with him, but I can't seem to see him as of yet." Ayumi would continue to look, but she was unable to see Akechi.

"I'm sure he's just hiding. I've seen a few people standing at the quieter parts of the party who aren't mingling." Pertisia would look at a few guests. Yumiko meanwhile noticed that she was almost out of her drink.

"I'm going to get some more juice. I'll be back soon." Yumiko would wave to the four, who waved her goodbye as she went to the nearest drinks table to get something to drink.

Leaving her open for someone to talk to her, while also leaving interactions open for Ima, Pertisia, Paula, Ayumi and Mio too.

Meanwhile, with two other party guests...

Ibn and Bax were standing near the crowd, Ibn just wished to attend because he wanted to get a few autographs with people. Bax however, didn't wish to attend. He doesn't like to be in large crowds, but he would attend if Ibn is going to attend. "Just you wait Bax, in a few moments, people will want to know who we are, to which I will humbly introduce myself. And I will say your name too, in fact." Ibn happily turned to Bax.

"I'll say you're name first, instead of myself!"

"That's fine Ibn, you can say your name first, I don't do first name introductions, I prefer second." Bax wasn't his usually normal self today. His tone was more sadder then it often was, something of which Ibn took notice of.

"Hey, are you okay? Is, the party too much?" Ibn would ask Bax, as he wasn't this quiet often, especially with Ibn beside him.

"Sorry, I just don't do well with parties. You can go on ahead Ibn. I'll try and find a quieter place to stand in." Bax would turn, blushing slightly as his anxiety rose.

But Ibn quickly called him. "Bax, wait!" He approached his boyfriend.

"It's okay to feel this way. I don't want you to be alone either for this celebratory event. So, if you wish to stand alone. Why don't I stand beside you, and give you someone to flirt and talk too." Ibn would suggest to Bax.

"Are you sure Ibn? I know how these things matter to you, and I don't want to get in the way of any of the coven's work. Besides, Pertisia and Ima are there too, don't you want to talk to them?"

"I want to talk to you more." Ibn butted his head to Bax's, the two blushed.

"Besides, Pertisia and Ima there have company, and, so do you." Ibn offered to be with Bax towards the party. His boyfriend's lip quivered slightly in happiness that Ibn wished to spend more time with him.

"Thanks, Ibn. Why don't we sit over there, and watch the sky?" Bax pointed to a patch of grass as he and Ibn held hands.

"That would be splendid for me." Ibn would then kiss Bax on the cheek, causing him to blush as the two walked over to the patch of grass and sat down near the quieter parts of the party, and leaving them open for them to talk to a few people that are there.

Nearby, Akechi would sadly watch the couple nearby while sipping his drink and sighing.

"You feel lonely too?" Akechi would turn to see Madotsuki and Akihiko standing nearby in a quiet corner of the party.

"How did you guess?" Akechi asked, smiling.

"We're one of the few people at this spot. Besides, I don't do well with people either, I don't want to be swarmed by people asking for my autographs." Akihiko would say.

"And I don't want to deal with pests, even if this is a celebration. I needed to attend as an excuse to get out of my apartment for today." And for Madotsuki to hear more news about what was going on outside of the Life Sphere.

Akechi, Akihiko and Madotsuki would soon sit quietly and watch the party nearby, opening up for interactions with them.

Princess Bubblegum was also quiet as she stood near Connie while watching the events of the party near the middle of it, they stood near a food table while watching it.

They were waiting for people to come by so they can talk to them. "Some party huh? I'm glad we managed to get some sort of celebration after everything that's going on." Connie was enjoying the party immensely.

"Oh, I agree, since it seems that people here have been here for over a decade. I'm glad we were able to celebrate such an occasion." Bubblegum and Connie would laugh as they waited for people to interact with them as well.

And finally outside the party itself, a lone girl watched the entrance and had seen everyone celebrating from a far. The girl was Shizuka Moroboshi.

She smiled, happy that the Life Sphere was celebrating life. Even if she wasn't able to attend the events in question. Maybe next year, if she's no longer a fugitive by then. She would turn and walk away to do business elsewhere.

She was glad that she smiled, It's been awhile since she did that, if ever.

But now, she was busy with something else...

Finding Rosalyn.

Elsewhere, Chiaki was having a party of her own, but was annoyed to find nobody had come. "I guess, nobody liked my invitations to the grand opening of my new company." They were all weak, she had thought. Well, it wasn't all too bad, as someone did come to attend the party.

She was at the snack bar that she had set up, having taken all of the food. It was Kronya, who turned towards Chiaki and smiled.

"Oh, I don't care for whatever you're doing here. I just came to strip you of food and drinks since I likely wouldn't be able too at that celebration thing today, If the security would even let me in, given my past reputation as local orphan maker. Oh well, seeya!" Kronya would turn and leave. Chiaki gasped, but she was unable to stop her.

Much to her anger, she groaned.

Oh well, she can always try again, no.

She will succeed next time, while trying again.

She's going to make sure of it.

[Mr. Game & Watch]

The applause carried throughout the crowd, echoing to the rooftops to where it was bolstered by the speedy claps of one man, stationed in a makeshift battlement. It stood erect over the Rainbow Square, raised far above street-level, making it the optimum bird’s nest for the Life Sphere most legendary fowl of them all, Captain Falcon. “FALCON CLAP!” he announced with great pride as he powerfully slammed his palms together, as if he was attempting a new thunderclap technique.

Once he felt that his thunderous appraisal was enough, he picked up his binoculars and plastered them against the visor of his helmet, watching E. Gadd very closely. He wasn’t alone on his perch, in fact there was upwards of three other officers keeping a watchful eye on the audience members below, in addition to looking beyond the horizon in case trouble would arise. One of the Toad officers looked quite bored however, leaning over the guardrail and resting his chin on his hands. “Sigh, do we really need all hands on deck for this event? With all the security here, you’d think we were transporting the seven Chaos Emeralds, a pocket full of Power Stars, and the last living Metroid, what gives?”

Captain Falcon released a hearty laugh and lowered his binoculars. “Oh rookie, you’re still new to this. Every. Single. Social event that the Life Sphere has put on has led to disaster, name me one that hasn’t” he challenged whilst pointing a finger of judgement.

“… The time you announced the Police HQ’s partnership with Aether Paradise.”

There was a moment of pause on Captain Falcon’s face, his eyes going blank as he registered the fact that he was proven so wrong so easily. He placed the binoculars back on his face and returned to intently watching E. Gadd as he spoke. “Name me a second one.”

The Toad’s mouth opened, but before he could answer, Captain Falcon swiftly followed it up with “that’s right! You can’t! The unveiling of Mr. Game & Watch’s statue, it got blown up! The Toy Day celebration, invaders from another dimension! The last Celebration of Life event, Black Shadow kidnapped the leaders! We take no more chances on social events! If anyone tries anything funny, they’ll be getting the good ol’ Falcon knuckle sandwich” he stated as he cracked his knuckles.

On the fringes of the Rainbow Square, away from the crowd of thousands gathered around E. Gadd’s podium, Lusamine was sat at a small table underneath an awning, treating herself and her compatriots to a few drinks from the local barista. She left her tea on the table, her hands a bit busy offering a dainty golf clap to the end of E. Gadd’s speech. For a social gathering, things seemed a bit chaotic, though she supposed that since the Life Sphere was filled with so many hardened adventurers, giving them the opportunity to cut loose would lend them to being a bit rowdy. Still, that didn’t mean she had to lower her classy standards for the sake of hearing out what the Life Sphere’s elites had to say in celebration of this day.

Amongst her group was, of course, Steve, her ever faithful righthand man. He was a bit pre-occupied trying to line up the straw of his drink with the mouthpiece of his mask. Every time he got close; it would get knocked away ever so slightly because of the prongs of his mask. Still, he held the determination to get in place.

Directly behind Lusamine, casting a shadow over her, was her vigilant yet vacant Bewear, Snuggems. Much like the stuffed animal it resembled, it barely even seemed like Snuggems was breathing. She was just standing there, her doll-like black eyes gazing into the crowd, waiting for someone or something to make a wrong move.

And finally, off to the side, cloaked in the shadows of the nearby building, Bisharp stood with his back pressed up against the wall, arms folded, head down. Brooding, and not caring who caught him in the act.

Steve’s bobbing head eventually caught Lusamine’s attention, causing her to look at him with a curious, but condescending eye. “You realize you have hands, right?”

“That’s quitter talk!” he stopped to say, before going right back to trying to caught the straw.

Lusamine rolled her eyes, though as she did, she caught sight of the third cup left on the vacant area of the table. Her glance flickered over to Bisharp quickly. “Come now, you don’t want your berry juice to go to waste. I even picked out your favourite” she spoke sweetly as she gently patted the surface of the table.

Bisharp’s eyes glanced over when he was being spoken to, but his head turned away afterwards, uncaring.

“He’ll come around” she optimistically added as she turned her attention back to Steve. “Maybe he’ll need a bit of convincing from his sister” she said as she absently tapped at the Poke Ball at her hip.

Steve on the other hand had ceased his chasing of the straw, curiously gazing at the Bisharp. “Where did you say you found him?”

“On the streets, abandoned by his trainer. Poor thing doesn’t even know what love feels like.”

Steve’s eyes lingered on the Bisharp. “Huh” he grunted, before returning to his task of finding the straw.

[Maverick Hunter Zero]

Surprisingly enough, there was a small crowd of people in the area, all of them were watching a certain Half-Genie dancing, some of them even dancing with her, which Shantae did not mind, as they were loyal fans of her and were willing to fight tooth and nail to protect her, and knowing that someone had put a bounty on her head pretty much told them that she literally needed to be guarded at all costs as they were packing shooting items on their person.

Kari walked intot he area noticing the giant celebration. She was in awe of it, and seemed to be really happy about the cuttent event. "Is this some sort of celebration? If so let me in on it!" She rushed to checkl out some of the festivities, and found herself quickly nomming on a piece of shortcake. Kari made sure to have her keyblade at the ready incase any Villians decided to mess up the celebration.
