Variant Rules:

• There will be a deadline of 2 days, if you do not post within 2 days of the last GM post, your character will be skipped and they will be assumed brain dead, complete with drool dripping from their mouth. Should you fail to meet this deadline three times in a row, your character will be trophified or possibly perma-dead depending on the situation.
• Since this mission takes place in the Essence Extraction Point, you must have a steady supply of Gas Masks, if your character is without a Gas Mask for more than 2 turns, they will have to make scaling CON checks to ensure that they don’t fully succumb to a Starvia related infection.
• Due to this being a site event, this mission will not count to your current mission count. In addition to that, you may bring three characters from your roster, but only one per team.

Mission Brief:

“MUHA HAHAHA! AHEM! I know what you must be thinking, how could I have gotten so low as to call on the likes of you for help… Well, after all I’ve been through, the years of ceaseless agony, I have recognized something… Everything I have done… Everything I have wrought… It was wrong and I feel bad… I have turned to the side of good, and if you will not have me, I will face Mother Brain on my own!

It matters little whether you believe me or not! I have grave news to tell you. Mother Brain is ready to make her next move. They’ve developed a new weapon, one that can destroy the Life Sphere’s defenses with a single blow! She is amassing her army now, sending the cannon toward your location as we speak. You will need to send a small army of your own to combat them, but this isn’t all! The weapon is merely a distraction of her real plan!

Mother Brain has developed a new form of Starvia, one they are calling ‘New Starvia.’ I don’t know many details, but this one is green in colour! She plans to infect the Life Sphere’s air supply with a secret agent who is already within the city! There is an impostor among you!

And… What’s this?! I’m getting interference! Bzzt!”

“Ch’yes! I got in! Bad news bros and broettes! We got a situation brewing in the Black Market! Remember the Gang Wars!? Well, it looks like it’s happening all over again! A bunch of Kremlings, Eggbots, and Koopas just warped in out of nowhere and starting duking it out! WOAH! One of them’s getting in close!”

“YAR HAR! This be Kaptain K. Rool! I be the scourge of dimensions! After conquering the Life Sphere of my reality, I’ve come to claim this here Life Sphere as me own! It seems me enemies ‘ave followed me through the dimensional portal, but let yer lily-livers lie! Yer all part of me crew now, I’ll be rid of these pests quickly, then we’ll talk about yer initiation! YAR HAR HAR!”

Objective: Distraction Team: Defeat Mother Brain’s forces!
Espionage Team: Find the imposter and stop them from polluting the air supply!
Gang Wars Team: Defeat the alternate dimension Gang Wars Leaders!

Sub-Objectives: -Join Kaptain K. Rool’s crew
-Find the secret (no hints)
-Defeat the optional mini-boss: Super Starvia Samus
-Have fun =)

Mission Reward(s):

• Double Cherry
• Black Shadow Assist Trophy: Summons Black Shadow, who will proceed to attack the user, taunt them for using this item, and disappear. This does 60% damage to the user, has a 20% chance of infecting the user with the Starvia, and is unavoidable.
• Crystal Coconut: When this item is in use it ceases all physical battle and both the user and its opponents must use their words to battle in an all out singing war. This makes any roll requirement change to Charisma, however, if you do not use the die system you may still join in on the musical. This effect lasts for five turns and may only be used once per thread.

As for who my third is going to be, the only character who worked with K. Rool in the past is Shantae, so Half-Genie hero is gonna help out here for a change.

I'll have Yumiko, Ayumi and Paula help out in this mission. Yumiko will be in the distraction team, while Ayumi will be in the espionage team, finally Paula will be in the Gang Wars team.
