Variant Rules: 

• There will be a dangerous battle involved! In most battles, you would fight an opponent until they are knocked out, but... there'll be grave consequences for Shadow if you do that here. For this reason, you'll be making INT rolls to try and reason with Shadow. The threshold that you'll need to make all depends on how erratic Shadow is at the moment, which can and will change every turn. That being said, reasoning with him alone won't work either. There needs to be a combination of both. For this reason, it is recommended that at least two INT rolls be made per turn, taking up an action. Whether those rolls be one per person or if on person decides to do both is up to you. You don't have to do an INT roll for every turn, but there may be a consequence of some kind if you miss one.

• This is a high stake mission, meaning that failure could result in a grave consequence for Shadow in particular. Regardless of the result, Shadow could change in some way after this mission, but the severity of that change depends on the failure or success of this mission. As a result, characters will get second chances to roll if a roll fails. It may be the same stat, or perhaps they'll need to try a different one depending on which would fit the situation. 

•Finally, Shadow is extremely dangerous! Caution must be kept at an all time high, otherwise your character can and will be harmed! Try not to take too many risks here, unless you feel it absolutely necessary. There is an extremely low chance of failing this mission, but doing so will result in your character being trophified automatically. Other risks include possible injury of both Shadow and any party member listed. They will spend time at the hospital if you aren't careful, or if this mission fails.

Mission Brief:
You could see a red echidna running in the direction of a densely wooded area before cursing to himself and stamping his foot in anger. "Dang it! He got away!" he yelled before noticing you and a few others. "Hey, you! Yeah, you there! I'm kind of in need of some help. You know Shadow, right? Shadow the Hedgehog. Well, he hasn't been around much lately, and he's been acting really weird. Something's not right with him. But that's not what I'm concerned with now. Right now, he just stole the three Chaos Emeralds I had with me! I want to go after him and teach him a lesson, but the last thing I need is someone trying to take the Master Emerald. So... I really hate to ask this, but could you go get them? I don't know what Shadow's up to, but it can't be anything good! He needs to be stopped at all cost! So... are you in?"

Objective:
Locate Shadow and the Chaos Emeralds he's collected, then engage in a fight with him!

Sub-Objective:
Bring Shadow back to his senses before he causes too much damage! Remember, knocking him out isn't the best solution! Reasoning with him is recommended, but not forced! The choice is yours.
