[PacAttack]

In the mountainous region of the Mushroom Kingdom, the Shy Guy Falls' mine laid dormant. Citizens of the former kingdom could practically hear the chanting of the once-working miners.  Mine-carts constantly in motions, bringing out heaps of colorful stones that would be carted emptied and brought back only to collect more.  The water that flowed through the cave kept it cool and served as a way of sifting out loose soil to make inspection easier for the workers.  Now however, the mines laid still.  The water was gone, leaving the caves in a permanent open yawn.  Some of the tracks that climbed the rock now lead to dead ends or simply into the ground.  A few damaged carts could be found outside overturned.  Nothing of use to found within.  

Outside the cave stood two colorful gumballs attempting to converse with one another.





"So... You come from where now?"

"Waka!"

"...Right."

Tip tap tip tap tip tap...

The air is tinged with a slightly voltaic sensation, the nearby static drawn into a large radius, slowly closing in on a singular, rapidly approaching yellow blur on all fours. This was Zeraora, a quick thunderclap of a critter spawned from the Alola Region. She's darting right to the scene, in hopes to find her mission contractor, and liberate this area of hostile targets. She was going to be teamed with another, so it seemed, so she'd best make this count..! As Zeraora encroaches on the mission destination, she slowed down significantly, moving to a bipedal walk as she gazed around. This was a ghost-mine! 

"To think, they raced Karts here while the mines were open... Mushroom Kingdom's never had a good track record of workplace safety..."

Musing to herself, in hopes the idle joking would draw her mind from the increasing agony that was the fact she'd have to fight infected here, Zeraora's twinkling blue eyes meet the shapes of the pizza slice and the gumball. Odd creatures to be conversing here instead of in the safety of the 'sphere. Not her place to judge. Cautiously, she approaches, a tad leaned forward, arms at a slight angle outward. Zera was ready to move if they were hostile.

"'Konnichiwa... I'm uh... looking for a mission provider for this area."

[Dragon Knight Volga]

Embers rained from sky as Volga flew towards the abandoned Mushroom Mine. This was his first time since the Absolution fight that he had left the Life Sphere. However, the Dragon Knight was more than ready to face the denizens of this mine. Volga landed nearby and slowly approached the others that were there. Two of them looked like balls with arms, legs and faces, while the other creature looked like some weird combination of a cat and a monkey.

The larger one's eyes slowly gazed up from the short ball in front of him to the horizon where a small light was growing.  His white eyes stared hard and unmoving as it approached.  He was hoping for a decent crew.  He didn't want to be back in the kingdom anymore than he had to.  Crossing his arms, he took a moment to think back to what it was like here before.  It wasn't something he liked to dwell on much but he didn't have much else to do other than listen to the ball in front of him make more toilet noises at him.  The lightning bot was soon followed by fire raining from the sky.  The bomb kept his stature, only giving a slow blink in response to the two natural disasters entering his homeland.  He wasn't impressed.  

Pac was confused as he had lost the attention of his round friend and turned around to see the issue.  He was a bit shocked by the results.  A thunder cat and some guy in a suit of red armor that gave him a bit of an uneasy vibe.  His usual smile dropped to an O as he looked on carefully.

"Yeah... That be me," the bomb responded to the electric beast, "Buds at the Life Sphere sent me out to lead a team into the mine.  I'm taking you are the help they assigned?"  The same unmoved stature resonated from him, a slight ticking emitting during his silence.  "I'd like to get this done with and return to the sphere so don't take any scenic routes.  Let's get moving."  Uncrossing his arms, he turned on a dime and began to move into the entrance of the cave, the wind-up key on his back ticking loudly as he hurried in.  "Oh yeah," came a voice in the darkness of the cave.  A white block was tossed at PAC-MAN where he panicked, trying to keep a grip on it as it bounced around in his hands.  The block began to glow bright once he got a firm grasp on it causing him to squint and look away from it.  

(This item will be of importance.  One character must be holding onto it in order to progress further in the mine.)

"That's a Glow Block.  We're gonna need that in order to see down here.  Keep your hands on it and it'll keep working.  Buds said there might be a few more down here so keep your eyes open."  The ticking continued further into the mine accompanied by a few thuds.  PAC-MAN curiously looked over the block in wonder before looking back at the two and hurrying into the cave.

Zeraora's big ol' eyes widened further, sparkling at the very sight..! That was the Waka-Waka himself, the yellow pizza slice from those arcade machines! It was Pac-Man! Immediately, the nerdy electric cat's heart began to beat faster and faster, and she exploded audibly into a squealing mess. At once, she begins tapping her feet, clicking those claws against the ground in an eager-to-glomp-him manner, but... She held back..!

"OHMYARCEUS! You're PAC MAN! AAAAAA! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!"

She gets a hold of herself, purring and trilling as she finally regained composure. Zeraora takes a deep breath, and stands back a bit, before finally getting her heartrate down. She briefly explains...

"Y-You, I saw a lot of you as a kid. I uh... Had a window seat to your world. Long story."

With that, she electrifies a little bit, body arcing a tad, letting off excess..!

"Okay, okay, I'm ready. Volga, was it? C'mon, let's help our friend here out."

Zera, afterwards, takes off after Pac-Man, hoping to follow closer behind him.

Volga nodded at the bomb's words. He then turned his attention to the thunder cat once she addressed him. "Indeed. Of course." The Dragon Knight then made his way into the cave.

The sudden outburst caught Pac off-guard and he wasn't quite sure how to react for a bit.  He hadn't seen her before but apparently she had sure seen him.  She didn't look familiar to him at all.  Something about window worlds and watching him as a kid.  Ah c'mon, he wasn't that old now.  He gave few blinks as he watched the electro-cat recalm herself from behind the bright glow of the block.  Pac gave a slight shrug and winked at her with a slight 'twonk!' before turning around heading into the mine.   Meanwhile the bomb was already heading down into the mine, grumbling to himself.

With the polluted light fading from above, the inside was illuminated by a soft white glow.  Far enough to where the group had a clear path to walk along.  The Chuckya glanced around at the floor and then to the ceiling.  He was hoping the mine would hold up for them long enough to get the job done.  Last thing he wanted to do was get stuck in here and have to lug a ton of stone around.  The path was rough but still visible.  Shards and chunks of rock littered the floor where a thin wooden path of boards led down further.  There was a small ledge that was akin to step every now and again where the bomb grunted as he made his way down them.  "These guys really didn't have any workplace safety, huh," he thought aloud as he ticked his way down.  

Pac happily carried along with the block in his hands.  It was a little funny lugging the thing around but he didn't mind.  He hadn't been to the Mushroom Kingdom in a long, long time.  It was a nice place from what he remembered.  The daydream followed him as he hopped over each step with a bouncy landing.  

The bomb huffed after stumbling down the steps for a bit.  Part of the rock wall opened to reveal a mine-track that led further back and to surface level.  He perked up a bit a that as it was signing they were getting closer to the dig site.  "The name's Vinson," he suddenly announced, "if you want you can call me Vi--" 

Pac bumped into the large red mitt of Vinson.  He looked up in confusion unsure why they had stopped.  It was a few seconds before the sound of slight flapping could be heard that kicked up into a tunnel of noise a swarm of angered bats came soaring down the path.  "Swoopers!  Get down!"

Vinson didn't even bother to move as he held up his arms guard himself.  Pac on the otherhand was caught off guard and blown off his feet by the sudden horde.  He lossed ahold of the glow block sending it into the air.

((Attention!  The glow block is now dimming and will cease it's light unless someone catches it.  Zeraora and Volga can make a DEX roll in order to catch it and keep it lit.  A DEX roll of 10 or higher is needed to catch the block.  If the block goes dark, you can make a WIS roll in order to feel around for it.  Wisdom roll requires 12 or higher.))
