The Fox Hunt - Wolf O'Donnell - FS: Hungry Like The Wolf - Highest Stat: DEX
"I think we're about as deep as we can go and ready to tag out for Yamacca now." Wolf ceased his digging and took a look at the hole he was hacking away at with his bear buddy near him and saw that it dug just under the wall parameters in a very safe and efficient manner, now it was simply time to punch through completely to the other side and make that tunnel connect. Wolf looked at Banjo disappointed in himself. "These old claws ain't what they used to be. Can't fault me for that when they don't wanna work sometimes. I work with it don't you worry I make it through...thanks for the help." With inflamed and swollen paws, Wolf began rubbing the dirt on his claws off with a rag he used to polish his blaster. He realized he probably said the girl's name wrong but he won't admit he already forgot what it was. He walked over to her nonetheless and signaled her to take over. Banjo digging with Wolf helped tremendously and the hole was penetrated as much as it could be without extensive additional firepower which Yumiko was now going to provide. Or at least he thought. "Your turn. Do your thing human" Wolf kinda had an idea of what Banjo and his sidekick could do with the talents they had, but the girl was a mystery to him. He was going to see a little bit about what she could bring to the table here. So far the plan was still in full swing, and the momentum wasn't going to stop yet.
Meanwhile on the other side of the wall things were brewing of a very different nature and it didn't exactly favor Wolf and company...
In a giant cavernous chamber filled with piles of bones embed into hollow walls which are also scattered freely on the rocky, rigid floor of the place A red reptilian like creature whom by the naked eye would simply be seen as what they call a 'dinosaur', crashes into this vast chamber through its massive oak like doors and screeches to a halt in front of a looming figure. Much like a court in a castle or a meeting place in a temple, the chamber was created for a leader or ruler of some kind; for a being with authority. A very tall and daunting silhouette sits in a chair made of curved bone marrow and rusty metal spikes firmly planted in the center of the space with boulder fused steps leading down to the cavern floors where the red reptile just made its entrance.
In the shadows of the room there are glowing eyes watching the dino like creature barging in and a mix of curiosity and extreme tension fill the air in the space as soon as this action is made. Even though he may look like a prehistoric creature, it was much more than meets the eye. The creature spoke, and nearly out of breathe at this moment. "MY KING! MY LORD! I am so sorry to bug you like this! But we have a problem! Our guards thought they heard something suspicious on the eastern side of our walls, but couldn't seem to find anything of note upon investigation nor could they hear any noises once arriving to the initial alert point, but now...we can completely confirm we have intruders trying to break in passed our defenses! They are digging a hole as we speak and I'm afraid they may bring trouble!" What this creature spoke was hardly English, but the words were understood in a native tongue of sorts. With unique and mutated voice patterns, most creatures within the Walled City could virtually manipulate their words into any language they wished.
They also weren't dinosaurs though they represented the mythical appearance through alien means, they were known as Red Eyes and were extremely smart which one could not say the same for the dinosaurs in the Jurassic Age. They did like being compared to them at times, however; a God Fearing Species but a strong Hierarchy system kept them alive and others away. Along with a little thing called evolution as well ofcourse. Adapt and overcome was their thing. Strong. Fierce. Sharp. This tribe was well known to be warriors for sure.
The Red Eye that thrusts himself into the room continued to speak. "They don't suspect that we know they are digging a hole outside as we speak. We can strike now and surprise them while they are busy with their breakin routine or we-" The silhouette on the chair raises a firm hand in the air and the creature immediately falls silent. The glowing eyes in the room seemed to wince and some whimpering sounds were made as the seated figure now began to stand with a hand still in the air and darkness still flooding over to the point where getting a clear image of this individual was still not possible. Without moving the shadowy outline known as King, or Lord, lends a voice to the matter.
"Enough of your yammering little one. Let them come." The concerned Red Eye made a shocked jolt at the order and responded with confusion. "But sire, I don't understand, we can strike them now and-" The shadowed voice spoke louder now and with a sharpened tone. "I know what they want and who they are coming for. Let. THEM. COME! Do not defy me." The Red Eye bowed deeply to the dark authority that appeared to have a chain of power in the room and responded humbly. "As you wish, my lord." And with that, the inquired Red Eye heads out of the chamber likely to spread the word to other Red Eyes in the area to stand down on the incoming intrusion. The black soaked apparent leader slowly sat back down in his chair as that conversation died down, and remained silent in waiting for what's to come.
