Krystal entered the arena to the sound of thunderous applause. Why they were clapping, she had no idea. Last time she was here she had performed so poorly she had rolled her ankle and had to call the match there. It probably didn't help that she had faced Shadow. The hedgehog had been far to fast for her to properly handle. Perhaps these people were the type of crowd to cheer for the underdog? Or maybe they were so anxious for a fight that they'd cheer on whoever decided to enter the arena, regardless if they did well or not. Krystal didn't know, and right now it didn't really matter much. . Hopefully this match would go much smoother. 

Krystal stared toward the other entrance to the field, staff at the ready. She didn't really know who she was to face today, but she hoped that this bout of sparring would go better then the last. That one was just embarrassing....

A wolfskin in the arena? How could this be? Were not the creatures of the night vile and monstrous villains who laid havoc and madness in their rampaging wake? Could one truly have transcended the madness of lycanthropy? No, no, it was most likely a ruse. One set up by Dracula himself as an envoy of his return... Could it be? Was Richter prepared for this fight? No matter what, it was his duty to ensure the people were safe... and discern whether or not this "Krystal" was truly an ally or a foe.

This brings us to Richter's entrance into the arena, as the crowd's voices notably dimmed when he entered. Not for lack of skill; his match with Maria was even down the line until the end. It was an aura of reverence and awe that the Belmont brought with him, not one of spectacle and delight. Richter Belmont was no gladiator; he was here to Hunt.

"You there, the Wolf-kin they call "Krystal." You have considerable clout and respect among the people here... But simple cover stories do not fool the eye of the Belmont. I hunt you, wolf-kin, and you will tell me your true allegiance... Your fealty to Dracula!"

Cracking the Vampire Killer, the whip's chain extended drastically in the singular motion. Richter's stone-cold glare was enough to signal that he was ready. The question was... Was Krystal ready for him?

Krystal turned to face the man that had just entered the stadium, only to be faced with an accusation right off the bat. Wolfskin? First off, she was a fox. Secondly, what was he talking about? Weren't they supposed to just have a competition today? And who was this Dracula person? Krystal had never even heard of him, much less "swore her fealty" to him. This guy was talking crazy.

Then the whip came out, and Krystal realized he was being completely serious. Krystal still didn't know what exactly was going on here, but she didn't think she needed to at this point. Right now, she needed to defend herself. Pulling out her staff, Krystal started shooting bolt of flame at Richter, hoping that that would be enough to deter him from attacking him

And so the combat began! Richter did not expect a ranged offering first from the wolf-kin; was she a new general of the Dark Lord, granted some magic artifact to show her loyalty to Dracula? She did not seem to respond to his accusation... And all men and hunters of the night know that silence is the perfect sign of guilt.  Dodging the first bolt, Richter noted she forced him to dodge into the way of her second bolt. Clever and crafty, just like any servant of the night! Fortunately, he was able block with a quick shield and watch the fire dissipate across the block. The last shot flew again towards Richter, but the vampire hunter countered the shot with a whip smack, shattering the fire into the air before him.

Turning to face Krystal once more, Richter's face was grim. "You fight well, monster of the night, but the Belmonts do not weep in the face of fire, even from magic staves. I will hunt you, and you will be brought to justice! YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The Vampire Killer seemed to flare to life, and whip strike after whip strike after whip strike, Richter pushed Krystal back to the wall, aiming to keep her moving and never stable. It might prevent her from using that stave for more magical fire, or whatever spells were stored with in.

Krystal quickly moved her staff up to block one of Richter's strikes before trying to hastily get out of the way of the other two. Unfortunately, she wasn't quite fast enough, and since Richter had her up against the wall, she had limited options to move. The whip's spiked end scraped up against her leg, causing her to grunt in pain

As Krystal got out of range of Richter's whip, she stared him down in confusion. "What in the world are you talking about?" she asked. Richter was making the opposite of sense right now. "I'm not a monster! And I have no idea who this 'Dracula' person even is, let alone why I would side with him" Krystal managed to get away from between the wall and Richter, and made her way back out to the open. Using this space to her advantage, Krystal quickly moved in close, too close for him to use his whip, and started assaulting him with her staff.

Before quickly moving away again and shooting fire at him from the tip of her staff. He might have been able to swat it out of the air before, but he couldn't do that all the time, Krystal knew that

As soon as the flames went out, the tip of Krystal's staff started glowing a light blue, pulling energy toward it, charging up for a big attack!
