The crowds were in the arena, cheers, boos, and jeers could be heard, apparently however and unbeknownst to anyone, their voices would be one of shock and fright.

Skeith had gated into the arena, his Red Wand at the ready.

Before he came to the arena, he had posted a request for a challenge from anyone new to the Life Sphere to face him in the arena at night, as only adults or those from the 'criminal underworld' were at their best at night. 

The message stated as thus:
"Seeking newcomers to fight in Sunshine Stadium.  Inquire within at 11:00 PM to accept the challenge."

Skeith looked at the crowds, many of them were people from his domain, and they were nervous about seeing an adversary in Li; let alone in the stadium, but they knew he was not taking his frustrations out on them and he knew they would scorn him even if he won or lost.

"..." was skeith's only spoken dialouge despite the telepathy means of communication. as he waited for an opponent to test their skills with a battle against The Terror of Death.

Lady Sia hadn't been in the Life Sphere long, but she'd heard from the locals there was an arena of sorts. She made her way over there and looked at the board, there was someone offering a challenge to fight at 11pm. Lady Sia was no nocturnal beast but she figured this arena would have lights fitted for a night time battle, so readying her gear she headed to Sunshine Stadium. Once she got there she could hear the crowds, they were creating a varied selection of cheers and jeers for the one making the challenge. Lady Sia was ready with her blade drawn and her ring ready, walking into the arena Lady Sia spotted her opponent. It was a strange creature that looked to be made of rocks or something, it had little resemblance of a face and was holding an oddly shaped weapon.

But size didn't matter as she'd taken down creatures bigger then this thing, she stepped forward and pointed her blade at Skeith "I hereby accept your challenge creature, prepare yourself" informed Lady Sia with determination on her face. After that declaration Lady Sia sheathed her sword, and pointed her ring hand forward. She started concentrating and building up a ball of energy from her family ring, stepping that little bit closer Lady Sia smirked slightly. Before letting off her ball of energy start at Sekith, this wasn't expected to be anything but a test run. She was aiming for the creatures chest or what she guessed to be a chest, and was hoping to get an idea of the creatures way depending on its response.

The crowd was caught in awe and wonderment, keeping silent for the brief moments that Skeith was alone on the stage. It was a mysterious giant of a creature and made the residents more curious about its being than any previous challenger that had entered the arena. Once the woman showed herself on stage the crowd gave off a mixture of different reactions, some cheering on the behemoth’s foe and others cheering for the mysterious being still.

As soon as Lady Sia stepped foot onto the matted battlefield, a Raichu leapt from the shadows and onto the red corner of the ring. It placed its paws gently on the post and locked its eyes on the contestant that awaited on his end of the court. The rat creature’s tail swayed in the air as it halted until further instructions were given. Similarly, an Electrivire made its appearance on the opposite end of the ring, but its movements were much slower and gave off a more intimidating stature.

Surge stumbled into the center of the ring, still fashioned in his regular uniform. He tore off his sunglasses as he stabled his footing. He shook his head as he hooked the arm of his spectacles on his sage tank top. “I gotta get more fights scheduled for the day time” he muttered as he swept himself clean. “Alright, three simple rules, no outside help, no killing your opponent, and you got fives turns each, any of you tykes that I catch cheating will get the broad side of Electrivire’s Mega-fist, got it?!” he announced as he raised his arm into the air. “Any questions, no concerns from you, whatever you are?” he questioned them both, though directing his question mostly at the technological giant.

"Talk is cheap for me, let us begin our match."[/b] Skeith said telepathicly to the Lightning American, entering a battle stance.

his socketless eyes would bore into Lady Sia as though he would love nothing more than to Data Drain her in that instant, but he would save that bit of mayhem for the last three turns of the bout.

Lady Sia watched as some camp clad man entered the arena, declaring rules as if be was some kind of mediator. She didn't like his attitude but thought it best not to get on the mans bad side, so as the monster spoke its words that sounded rather patronising. Lady Sia looked like she was grabbing her weapon but instead dashed forward, with her ring mounted hand pointed fist clenched at Skeith. Concentrating on the blast on energy building up from her ring, Lady Sia let loose the largest burst of the energy ball aiming for Skeith's chest area. Or at least what she figured to be the creature's chest, hoping to see the things resistance to her magics as an idea what to employ next.

Once she'd let this off, Lady Sia would continue moving and slid between the monster's legs and come out on the far side behind it. Getting ready for retaliation and her own next attack, as she thought on when this thing was and how she'd be able to beat it without killing it. She was no psychic but it was half obvious, that this thing had the feelings and emotional capacity of a brick wall. So it stranded to reason it wasn't anyone's hero, if only from the jeers the crowd had given it earlier.

Most unfortunately, Skeith swatted the ball of energy with his red wand Causing it to blow up in his face, with no regard to his own personal safety.

"You should learn patience, mortal. But I digress with these words to the front of your mind: 'Fools rush in, but he or she who hesitates is lost.'" Skeith voiced telepathicly to her, though it came out in agitation as Lt. Surge had not officially started the match, so Skeith took the Vermillion Gym Leader to the stands and placed him in a seat, then glided back over to the arena, and tapped the ground with his red wand, erecting a barrier to prevent people except the referee to enter to stop the match once the 5-turn limit was up for both parties.

Skeith then made preparations to launch his own attack once Lt. Surge gave the signal for the match to begin.

Surge sighed as the woman headed straight for the data beast before he had declared the match’s start. He supposed that was what Mr. Referee was talking about when he mentioned that most challengers were eager and sometimes kill crazed. He stomped his foot, though his comparatively small scaled body was hardly intimidating toward the other two. Before he could yell at Lady Sia for her unfair head start, the larger creature picked him up.

“Hey, HEY! Bad touch! Electrivire!” the Electric-centric Gym Leader commanded as he dangled in the technical golem’s hand. In a mere second after he called out for his pokemon, the fuzzy yellow creature leapt into the air and snatched the lieutenant out of Skeith’s grasp in a tackling manner. The two rolled against the ground outside of the ring and conveniently next to his ‘judgement throne’. “You two better pull yourselves together before I stop the match and train manners into you properly!” he ordered as he untangled himself from his pokemon and sat at his chair. Grumpy was too little a word to describe his expression.

“AHA HA HA, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen something so hectic! Wouldn’t you agree Big Top?”

“I dunno, that one time at Mario’s last party…”

“Big Top! We’re going live! This is a family friendly brawl, kids watch this. Anyway, these contestants are just getting weirder and weirder. What would you even call that thing down there?”

“Good question, what would we call you?”

“AHA HAAA… don’t test me, Big Top. The match is set, the referee is livid, I say we have a good fight on our hands!”
