Shulk grunted in dismay as the Monado bounced off Solaris. Nothing. As a star slammed into Shulk, sending him back to the ground, the Monado wielder hurriedly got to his feet before rocks started falling from nowhere.

Following Shadow's lead, Shulk dived out of the way of the falling rocks. Landing nearby, Shulk looked over to Rundas. Luckily none of the rocks seemed to have it him, but he needed a new strategy. Twisting the Monado's hilt, he switched through the sword's symbols until a green one was selected. Activating the Monado's powers, Shulk swung the now green blade of energy toward Solaris, launching a blast of energy toward it

Before the blast of energy could get to Solaris, Shulk moved in, hoping that the others would distract him long enough for him to do a bit more damage this time. He jumped into the air again, slashing once again as he came back down.

Solaris, as opposed to suffering a deal of attacks, seemed to be suffering a great deal of many rampant debuffs and terrible Drawbacks, Making Solaris rech forward, reaching is hand forward in attempt to defy Shadow's Slow...But it was no hope, as Solaris was still slowed to a crawl!

(Solaris's Dex Check is now reduced to 6!)

However, This seemed not to bother the Sun God too awfully bad, as Gargos's Astral Storm of Hail would simply shatter against a shield around Solaris's body, preventing damage...

A Fire Breath hit Solaris's belly, along with a Disabling Monado Purge and a an Air Slash, Solaris would let out a loud, rumbling roar, lifting its hand up, Opening up a rift in the Astral Plain of his own, The Visage of the Life Sphere emerging as a sort of gate way to the Sky, As The Life Sphere's infected clouds would part to begin revealing a great, white pool of light in the very sky that would shine, as The Sun was beginning to become concentrated, before unleashing a Massive sigil, And a great white sunshine would begin to form overhead in the clouds...However, Before Solaris could perform whatever grand-standing Incan Sunlight themed attack he was preparing, Suddenly, from the Wreck of E.Gadd's ship, A Flare would launch at high power  that it flew right out of the Hole, creating a massive red light seen even through the clouds...An Air Strike? No, It wasnt that.



To the Life Sphere, it was a Call for something a bit stronger...With that, A sound of something approaching would be heard, as a Distant glint of something sparking and beginning a burst of speed to get there quicker, Before it began to Spin, Before chucking...Something, Through the hole that solaris made, Which would slowly fly closer and closer, Slowly being heard with an audible "aaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAA~!" Before a Cannonball of Blonde Hair and Red Clothes would suddenly unleash fire upon Solaris with a Blackened Lightning Cannon!

"Heeeere comes a daily dose of Vitamin B for BLAM BLAM~!" The Black Lightning hit Solaris's Neck, Making it let out a crying screech, as soon, the second flying projectile would arrive, Chucking a Sword at Solaris next, as a ghostly after-image appeared and dealt a flurry of slashes.

Landing Right infront of Rundas and Shulk, Quote and Curly would land, Quote using his Jet Booster to Fly, as Curly simply landed whilst using her Machine gun as a way to slowly let herself down, as Quote sighed, looking at Solaris. "Saw the Flare." Quote would bluntly state, as Curly Brace would dig into her back pockets, producing-- Oh! Some Heart Containers!



"Well, The Life Sphere caught it, So we Figured you guys could use some help~" Curly would say happily to finish quotes statement, handing the Heart Containers given to Quote and Curly for the mission!

"GWAAAAR!!"

Out from the life sphere emerged a massive figure. It was ...Bowser? Not just Bowser though, but a monstrous, more ferocious version of Bowser that towered above the battlefield, easily breaking 40 feet tall so as to dwarf Solaris in size. His features were twisted and cruel looking. Even more monstrous than usual, perhaps? He began storming over to Solaris, not really paying any mind to the other fighters. Careful not to get stepped on now! He weighs several metric tons.

"Threatening my people! Threatening my princess! You must think you're pretty hot stuff, huh?! Well enjoy it while it lasts, you oversized piece of confetti, because I'm about to CRUSH YOU!!" 


Without further ado, Bowser pulled back and attempted to slash Solaris with one of his massive claws! Waiting only long enough to stand back up straight, he then pulled his fist back and lunged forward slug Solaris with one of his massive arms! A haymaker of gigantic proportions! ...Literally.

He then followed this up by keeping pace with Solaris, never allowing it to step outside of imminent danger as he threw slug after slug its way, haphazardly laying into it with little regard for his own safety or any attacks aimed back at him! Ah, the wonderful things you could do when you were the boss. He missed this. It made so much more sense than the shamble of a government the life sphere had. In fact, they should just replace Sonic with him! That'd solve all their problems. ...All his problems. What's the difference, right? Bowser channeled his fury into his fists, taking out his pent up aggression on Solaris in a series of devastating blows! It might become readily apparent to Shadow in particular why exactly the life sphere put up with this guy.

Only once his arms started to hurt and he could barely move did Bowser relent, breathing quite heavily as he observed the fruits of his labor. He'd just be a moment, but surely Solaris couldn't withstand an onslaught like that, could he?

"Well... This is a fine development. Let's finish up before all hell breaks loose people!" Gargos said his wings unfurled and he took to the skies of the battlefield with Death deciding to pull his weight again at the same time, and despite being a skeletal nightmare to all that live, seeing something as abominable as Solaris irked him.

Gargos would launch his move off with a stomp strong enough to outright shatter Solaris' defensive barrier, or at least crack it with enough force to allow the others do destroy it since Bowser's timely arrival allowed him to recouperate from his Shadow Oblivion.
STR ROLL A: 15+5=20(Extremely powerful Stomp @ Solaris, 20% dmg if it connects)

Followed up by a portal punch that quite literally broke Solaris' right arm in one hit!
STR ROLL B: 20+5=25(CRITICAL Oblivion of arm-breaking @ Solaris, 12% dmg if it connects)

Then delivered a final portal punch to further shatter that monstrosities right arm!

Death then stormed in and promptly hurled some sickles at Solaris, his beady red eyes now blue embers of malice in eyeless sockets, his rage apparent that not even GODS can escape from him.
STR ROLL D: 16+1=17(Twin Sickles @ Solaris, 2 hits of 4% dmg if it connects)

Then followed up with going into Stealth mode to ensure Solaris would have some trouble in the long run.

Invisibility cloak activated, Death is now invisible for 2 turns, cooldown now in effect!

Then finally delivered his coup de grace by literally ripping a Multidimensional God's soul out of it's body via his Scythe in a similar fashion to how he reaped Luigi in the SSBU trailer!

Death would easily have the soul of his new victim clutched in his skeletal hand, a chilling sight for anyone who saw the Grim Reaper at work for the first time, but rather than swallowing it, he would leave the fate of the malevolent entity to the decision of the founders.

After unleashing his full powered Chaos Control, Super Shadow lost his golden aura and turned back to his original form. The hedgehog scoffed. That didn't last nearly as long as he'd liked it to. Using his trump care for a Chaos Control? Really? That didn't even do any damage! Whatever, slowing Solaris down was better than nothing. He just wished it didn't take all this for them to finally gain some kind of advantage. Just as Shadow powered down completely, in came two new faces ready to fight. Shadow didn't recognize the first two figures, but he did recognize the third one: Bowser.

The giant turtle like creature went ballistic on Solaris. The most important thing about his strategy was the fact that he didn't care about the element of attack that he used. He just did what worked. Shadow leered at his foe. Perhaps Shadow should have tried to do the same. Whatever Bowser's motives were, there was no doubt that his attacks were powerful, and if things didn't change their effort would be for nothing. Alright, light based attacks were out the window. It was time for Shadow to trust his speed!

Shadow began his assault with his Spin Dash attack!

Next, Shadow would take advantage of his foe's lowered speed and attempt to make Solaris even slower. The hedgehog backed up a couple paces before running at full speed toward the creature, trying to ram into Solaris with his risky Dash attack. If this attack failed, it could cripple Shadow a bit, but the reward should he succeed was worth the risk.

As the slowed Solaris was unable to attack fast enough, everyone started pounding the sun god and Volga wasn't going to miss out. He decided to eat his Super Spicy Curry and charge headlong at Solaris, leaving a flame trail behind him.

Shulk stared on in horror as the majority of his attacks just bounced off of Solaris. He was starting to get desperate. Rundas was almost down. He wasn't doing so good himself, and the others were having a hard time doing much of anything. Shulk was losing hope that they could actually win this.....And then the rumbling started.

Shulk looked around, only for the most monstrous thing he'd ever seen to come charging in from nowhere. Shulk tiredly raised the Monado, prepared to fight off this thing as well, only for it to charge right past him and swing a fist into Solaris. Was this thing on their side? If so, it was a definite life saver.

Both Shulk and Rundas felt a tap on their shoulders, and turned around to see two more people coming to help them. "Well, this is a relief." Shulk said. "I thought we were done for"

"Indeed" Rundas agreed. "You came just in time." Both of them took the offered Heart Containers, feeling much better as the energy coursed through their body. Feeling re-energized, Shulk faced Solaris again. The flare that was shot up gave him an idea, and he kicked himself for not remembering this earlier. Putting his hand to his mouth, Shulk let out a shrill whistle, then called out "Articuno!"

A few minutes later, the flapping of wings could be heard, and the mystical blue bird flew to Shulk's side, landing with a soft "coo" "Let's go Articuno! Attack Solaris!" Shulk commanded. With another cry, Articuno took to the air, and fired two blasts of icy energy out of its beak, one after another.

It came down like a crash, as Solaris's rocky body was cracked across its entire armored carapace, Blasts from Quote and Curly, A Direct Scythe Attack, The Pounding Fists of Bowsers, The Blasts of Ice from Articuno and Rundas, and finally, A Big cut from Shulk's own Monado would cause Solaris to fly back, As its armor broke off into pieces, flying off and revealing a massive shining light of each Crack and Chip, until finally, Solaris would burst, Into a flaming white orb, Leaving a massive remonating orb of White fire, until it slowly began to fade and fade into desolation...Until eventually, It would fade out over time, As a strange Object flew off of the Flaming inferno well and good into the distance where one couldn't reach it...

[The Soul of Solaris flickers out...The Soul could not be claimed, as it no longer existed.]

The Hole in the sky would  slowly become covered by the infected clouds, as the scattering vision of ants could be seen  below Absolution. These werent Ants, however. These were People, Sonic's former followers, scattering to return to the Life Sphere in shock and Panic, as the magma Iblis had created earlier was now cooled off into a massive iceburg-esque formation of rock floating in the Infected Ocean, Like an Island almost. It seemed that with everything that the Fighting Team had gone through, the battle was finally won, as soon, A fleet of Transportation vehicles would come to the Deck of Absolution, a Series of Humans, Toads, Alien's and the odd Hylian or Goron would barrel out, beginning work on taking Absolution apart, as a much larger transportation truck would come afterward.

"Well done sirs!" Toadsworth would say, making extra careful to stand away from Bowser. " We came as soon as the radiation from that creature had died down. We have some white mages and nurses on board, you lot deserve yourself a fine rest, Hm hm!" The Gentlemanly toad would say, Smiling to the group, as Quote and Curly sighed. "Well, We arrived late..." Quote would say, shrugging and walking along, as Curly frowned to toadsworth. "I-i'm a Madam, thank you very much..." Curly would say, as the fleet of Life Sphere Workers began measuring and investigating Absolution, for its resource potential...

Gargos would calmly step over to where E. Gadds trophy was and picked it up, and calmly brings him to Toadsworth. "We can take you up on that offer, get some medics to tend to the professor, he was but a casualty of this battle and has deserved none of the retribution that 'thing' dished up on him." Gargos said as he let the Astral Storm dissipate, he was alive, and this was a good thing for him, he did not even need to use any of the items he had been given in this mission.

Death on the other hand simply shrugged, while he could not outright claim the soul of Solaris, he did at least do one good deed today, his master; Count Dracula, would be most pleased with his right hand man for taking care of an immediate threat to his eventual resurrection. "The first and only time I had to break my non-interference clause... Guess I will just have to wait and see what happens afterward." Death said as he glided into the transport for a ride back home and a break from the actions of a maniac who wasn't even a good Sonic imposter.

Volga smirked as the Sun God was finally taken down. He then turned his attention to the transportation crew and the Toad that lead it. "It was trivial, that creature was not a true warrior." The Dragon Knight then headed for the vehicles, not feeling like flying at this point.

Shadow dashed to the other side of monster before skidding to a halt and turning around as Solaris vanished into thin air. The hedgehog straightened himself out and glared at the spot that Solaris was last at. His eyes softened a bit at the joy that would no doubt take place at the defeat of this monster, but hardly shown any of the relief that he felt for the moment. It was over. The Sun God was no more. They wouldn’t have any trouble from Mephiles or Iblis anymore…

...Or would they?

“Shadow, look up!”

Before it even registered to him, Shadow saw… something fly through the sky into the distance. What was it? Well… Shadow didn’t know, but it filled the hedgehog with extreme dread for reasons he didn’t know. He stared at the the flying object in clear horror as it vanished into the distance. Was that thing… connected to Mephiles somehow? Or even Solaris? Could… could this whole mess happen again?!

“I hope to see you soon, Shadow…” This voice was different from the first. The black hedgehog could practically hear the eerie voice of Mephiles as if he were standing right next to him. “Otherwise this whole mess may start again, perhaps even worse…” The thought caused Shadow to outwardly snarl. He knew what this meant… If Mephiles wanted him to find that object, then it had to be some kind of trap.

But… If he did nothing… Perhaps Solaris would return.

Mephiles the Dark… More like Mephiles the Coward.

Fine. He’d participate in this little game that Mephiles seemed to orchestrate for him, but he didn’t intend just to play. He intended to win. Keeping his gaze in the direction the item flew into, Shadow skated at the object that seemed to be calling him. He’d ensure that what happened today would never have to happen again.

“I look forward to this meeting, Shadow… I made a promise to you long ago, and I intend to keep it…”

The attacks landed, and Solaris completely fell apart, unable to withstand that much force applied at once. And it was a good thing Solaris went down when it did. Shulk could hardly keep standing. Articuno quickly leaned up against Shulk to support him, while Rundas limped toward Toadsworth's transport. Both of them were in pretty rough shape, even with Quote's Heart Containers, so the white mages and medics on the transport were very much appreciated. As the rest of the new arrivals started scavenging the Absolution, Shulk and Rundas looked on. It seems that the other two groups had succeeded as well. Both of them were eager to hear the stories that the others had to tell, and Rundas especially was eager to meet up with Samus again. The transport drove back to the Life Sphere, carrying within many exhausted fighters. But regardless of how hard they had worked, they had been successful. The Absolution was stopped, and Mephilis wouldn't be a problem for the Life Sphere again.....or so they thought.
