Whilst the rest of the battlefield was in chaos, E Gadd hovered over to the nearest pillar and began to investigate his keyboard of wonderous weapons, trying to decide which he would pick to call upon its destruction. The professor’s shifty little hands were balled together in excitement, until a certain fire moth came onto the scene and blasted a current of hot air his way. He couldn’t quite escape the wrath of the heat, so he attempted to keep himself cooled the best way he could, though it was to no avail. The heated winds cooked his raw body, leaving his skin with bubbling blisters.

Frantically dancing about to cool himself down, the scientist soon realized that Volcarona was not only targeting him, but so was the geth. With the siege pulse being a mere couple feet from his hovercraft, E Gadd dove for his control stick and frantically jostled both him and his machine out of harm’s way. He wiped the sweat off his forehead and cackled wildly at his success.
[Siege Pulse DODGE!: 17 + 1 = 18]
E Gadd should have been more mindful of his environment though, considering that Alpha was barreling towards him without even noticing it. The Gun Hunter managed to snipe the scientist out of the sky, causing his craft to plummet toward the ground at spiraling speeds!
[Ramming Speed DODGE!: 12 + 1 = 13]
The professor’s head rolled cartoonishly as he fell victim to a slight spell of dizziness, which may or may not have been reinforced by his choice of spiral glasses. Curse his impractical wardrobe choices! No one was going to convince him to take them off though! With a proper shake of his head, the grim reaper appeared before him. That accursed creature, he’s told him far too many times that he wasn’t nearly as old as he looked! Oh wait, Death was their ally in this battle, right.
“Right you are, my good chum! The benchwarmers have enough on their plate though, it looks like we’ll have to think on our own” the scientist concluded as he dislodged his crashed hovercraft with a loose kick. “It looks like those fellers aren’t going to let us take out those pillars if they have their way with it. That gives us an advantage though because that’ll also divert their fire! We might be out numbered, but we’re not outwitted, oh ho ho!” he cackled as his machine began to take flight once more.
Within seconds, E Gadd’s speedy vehicle managed to zoom to the highest point on the battlefield. “Don’t you youngins worry, I’ve got just the thing to make sure these baddies go down for good!” he exclaimed as he pulled out the nozzle for his Poltergust 3001 once more. He twirled the device in the air wildly, kicking up a vortex around the area to throw the machines off balance.
[E Gadd’s Poltergust 3001: 11 + 3 = 14]
Once completed, E Gadd gazed over at Omicron, noting how close it was to a nearby pillar. He nudged at his console, a big bright button revealing itself. “Oh ho ho, two Parakoopas with one stone!” he hollered as he slammed the button. Out sprung a tesla coil and a bolt of electricity which sought out both the robot and the pillar it was unfortunately standing beside.

The civilians that held little to no allegiance to Sonic and happened to be on the construction site through circumstance or fear of being abandoned on Li were quick to hustle into the portals, though the ones with stronger allegiances weren’t budging nearly as much considering that the group was rather lacking in their communication skills, Shulk and Tomoko in particular (given Tomoko’s charisma level though, that couldn’t exactly be helped).
Some of the citizens that managed to escape through Gargos’s portals were rather grateful for the heroes’ generosity in attempting to save them from certain peril, so they began to toss their tools at the pillars holding up the mighty engine above the battlefield.
There were still plenty in need of saving, though perhaps they could use a bit more convincing to leave their precious construction behind and the constant berating from Tomoko didn’t seem to be winning them over, surprise surprise.

After purging its systems, Alpha shook its head module to clear its brain circuitry. Still near the duo that it had previously attacked, Alpha leapt backwards to gain distance and re-evaluate the battlefield because clearly something was wrong with the winds swirling in their area. Quickly identifying the source of the issue due to exposure to the scientist’s previous attempts at sucking them into his vacuum, Alpha stuck its clawed fist into the dirt to counteract the heavy winds.

With its balance successfully kept, Alpha sprung back into action, luckily just in time to see the bad end of Rundas’s ice blade. Once completed, Alpha pushed back into the air to survey the battlefield for where it was needed.

Following its barrage of bullets, Omicron robotically laughed in triumph over the one stream of bullets that managed to strike Volga. Admittedly, it wasn’t as victorious as one may think since its torso and cranium were sparking in sequence with its chuckling. Unfortunately, due to the way that Omicron contorted its body in its vain attempts to land a hit on Volga, its disfigured and melted chassis was having difficulties morphing back to regular form. It became more problematic as it was unable to move and the unexpected gust of wind from E Gadd’s vacuum technique knocked it over, further illustrating its vulnerability. Within seconds of this, Omicron got associated with Volga’s fire breath, continuing to melt and distort its already mangled platform.

The flames subsided. “Ow” the machine blankly stated. It tried to move its body, but it looked like a broken wind up toy that just continuously repeated the same jerky motion. While the rest of the team was busy defending their vessel, Iota stood perfectly still, gazing up at the propped-up section of the ship. “This seems like a really bad place to host a fight” it reflected as it noted the pillars and how… destructible they looked. During this time though, the machine barely noticed as a whirlwind picked up around the arena, causing Iota to fumble. That didn’t make it seem all that deadly at first, but it seemed that its fortune had gone in reverse as it seemed like everybody was attacking it now. It was hard to adjust to the rampant winds, as such the synthetic got singed by Paula’s PSI Fire, however, the psychic didn’t get so lucky with the next few shots.

Its power reserves were low, there was little hope left for the Gun Hunter. The orb was released and in its last moments before it was struck, it lamented “this unit has failed you, Zeta.” In that instance, the machine was frozen solid.

In fact, it probably would have continued to gain traction across the Emerald Coast had it not been for the pillar that it collided into, exploding and shattering the ice encased machine causing shrapnel and icicles to fly in every which way. On the plus side, it seemed to do significant damage to the pillar in the process.
The cyclonic winds raged on, though the elite geth soldier stood relatively unfazed by either the storm or the party. Before it could continue the fight, it received a message from its scout in the sky. “Enemy has begun targeting the structural foundations for Absolution’s lower bay. Disloyal workers have begun to revolt, situation critical” Alpha relayed through their COMM links.
“Haters are going to hate” Prime redirected to the Gun Hunter as it begun to scan the battlefield. “Intercept enemy fire. We will deal with interlopers. Data insufficient on targets, require information.”
“The skeleton has cloaking abilities, he may pose issues with defending the Absolution” Alpha relayed back.
The targeting recitals on Geth Prime’s head’s up display homed in on Death’s location and locked into place. “Roger that, will pursue with haste.” Lifting its foot, it seemed as though Prime was readying itself to charge at the grim reaper. With a powerful stomp of its foot, the machine began to slowly pace forward, like watching a sloth compete in a foot race.
In the meantime, Alpha did as it was instructed, firing off a barrage of bullets to counteract the bolts from E Gadd’s ray gun, with mixed results across the board. At the very least, it prevented one shot from slightly singeing the side of the structure. [Omicron’s Gatling Gun 3: p_1d20+2 / 22% @ Volga] <20>
Springing from the darkness lurking behind Rundas, Bisharp made himself known. The bladed Pokemon rushed at the bounty hunter from behind, its blades clinging with anticipation. With his metallic mitts, the Dark-type attempted to enact a grapple, taunting his foe with his torso blades to give a glimpse into Rundas’s future should he fail to toss the Pokemon away. Not even those pesky shields would get in Bisharp’s way.
