As Paula walked towards Arty's room with the music coming from the dinner room still being heard, she turned when Tails explained what Pokey Minch did on LI before Paula came to the planet...She was actually surprised that he had a factory...Although It's abandoned and the most likely place where the Diary was. "I never knew Pokey had a factory here...Well he did become a cult leader, temporarily mayor of fourside and assistant to Giygas...Kinda, so this isn't a surprise...But now I know where to go next sometime after this mission...Thanks for the info Tails, but we should just focus on getting the sanctuary stone now...If I'm right the Diary will probably not go anywhere...Since nobody except us Is interested In It." Paula said as she made It to Arty's room...Well It was just by the dinner room so the trip was very short.

Before Paula could say anything else she was forced against the wall just by the door before sliding down on the floor. "Ow..." After entering Artsy's room, Paula looked around. "Where could he be?" She said to the group as the door behind them suddenly closed...And locked. "Right here..." Artsy said as he revealed himself to the group. "I knew you four were sneaking around the castle...Trying to find that Sanctuary Stone, even causing my girlfriend to fly off in despair...How dare you...I'm going to turn you into paintings!" Tails steeled himself to go forward as he tried to summon forth his bravery. This however left him wide open as Peach gave him a comforting hug. The feeling was one he has not experience in an extremely long period of time. Even before Li it felt like it has been ages... Guess it was a comfort the loss of his parents made lost that Sonic could not make up for. "Th-Thanks," Tails said appreciatively as he made to follow Paula.

... Who was blocked by the door to Artsy Room. Great, looks like there was another hostile ghost.... Fortunately though they seemed a bit more focused on wanting to tell a story. It was kind of a long story Tails kind of blanked out at parts. This kind of story did not really appeal to him that much. Thankfully she did not seem to notice. "... Heels are not really my style," Tails replied. Heels were kind of more of a girly thing.

Then there was something about an accident before she started freaking out. This is the part that really caught Tails's attention. Not really because the story had any impact to him... more because it was too loud to ignore... Still, he felt a little sorry for her. And then she ran off in a vicious sea of despair. Tails did not have much to say other than watching her run off with a frown... At least she won't interfere with the door again.

And then the one thing standing between them and the stone appeared. The artist ghost that seemed more interested in turning them into art than giving them the key. It may be a fight against a ghost but Tails just had to be brave and stand up to it. He mustered the courage to fight Eggman on his own for the first time despite how much fear he felt. With Peach, Perry and Paula by his side he had nothing to fear. With this in mind, he made to evade the paintings.

And a roll and a jump he managed to evade the paintings with ease. Tails stood and focused as he pulled out a device. "Been a while since I have used this. I am sorry but there is too many things I have to do and becoming a painting is not one of them. Super Emeralds! Give me your power!" Tails had decided. The full power of his Tornado would probably be too dangerous in the castle. Super Tails however was much better at damage controls.

Tails raised the device he made to remotely absorb the power of the Super Emeralds. Several brightly color orbs of energy flew into the room and into Tails before a bright golden light consumed him as he raised into the air. Tails opened his eyes as his fur was now a more golden sheen and his eyes have changed to red in color. Several golden birds flew around Tails as they were willing to assist him in combat.

Tails curled into a ball and revved himself up. The golden curled Tails started to gain a firey aura around him before he launched himself at the painting on the ghost's face. The Flicky assisted him with one of them dive bombing the arty spirit.

Peach was a tad bemused. Perhaps this castle really was cursed! It would explain all of the ghosts, unusual ghosts at that. At the mention of heels, Peach had something to smile about. "Why yes!" she would reply, though she declined to demonstrate. It wasn't proper to lift one's dress without good purpose, and though her lovely ruby high heels were doubtlessly a compliment to her form they were more for her own sake than for viewership. How could one catch a peak with that lovely floofy dress always enveloping them?

To her surprise, however, the female ghost ran off. ...Huh! Well that was a rollercoaster ride of a story. She nodded affirmatively to Paula as the group entered Artsy's room. The ghost appeared and... promptly threatened them. Whelp. It was going to be one of those kinds of days.

As Paula floated past the paintings she quickly saw Artsy...Tending to some. "I thought you were fighting us, why are tending to the paintings you threw at us?" Paula said to Artsy who turned towards her and gave her a glare, however his attention soon turned to Tails, who was turning super and fired a blazing blast towards him, Artsy quickly tried to dodge the ultimate attack as he started to panic that he'll get hit...Mostly in the face.

After getting hit he was surprised to see a bunch of flickies coming towards him and a tornado spin brought by Tails...Yet again, he tried to swat the the flickies away. "Shoo, go away to the corner of the room pesky bird like things with weird heads." he said as he tried his best to flick the flickies away before Tail's hits him.

Super Tails took a momentary step back as the artistic spirit knocked his Flicky away and evaded the tornado. However, he was a lot less scared now that he was super. And above that, he was feeling a lot more confident to overcome this fear because of Peach. He merely stared back at the artist with a determined stare void of fear. "I WAS afraid of ghosts. But with Paula and Peach by my side I don't need to be scared. And I especially don't need to be scared of you," Tails said with newfound courage.

Tails however lightened up however as the artist stated his confusion due to Peach. Tails could actually place himself in the artist's spot very recently. It has been years Tails has been almost entirely focused on his machines and gadgets to help the Life Sphere. "... I understand you enjoy painting quite a lot. I really enjoy making machines to help people out... But if you are throwing away those close to you... Is it really worth it? Is it really okay to be alone so you can do the thing you love to do? Wouldn't it be equally worth it if not more so to make time for others? I would hate to imagine abandoning all my friends to build things... What is the point of creating things if you don't share it with others?" Tails stated. He kind of feels he has become too secluded from Sonic recently so he feels like he is understanding this ghost a bit better.

Peach would awkwardly go on. "My entire castle is one big art gallery waiting to be filled with beautiful art." Peach mused aloud, considering something quietly for a moment before continuing. She almost seemed to be suggesting something, with her train of thought.

"You think you want a hostile ghost In your castle lady? Think again, I WILL ATTACK THE GUESTS!" The Ghost said out loud to Peach and Perry...Before speaking again.

He quickly grabbed a nearby painting and tried to bash Peach and Perry with It.

Super Tails was disappointed as he failed to not only get through to the painter, but it came off as a guilt trip. He just was concerned for the ghost's own happiness right now but it would appear that sentiment was not shared. Even Peach could not get him to see there was a better way to live the afterlife. Guess there was nothing that could be done outside ending this. It was obvious he was far too gone to be talked out of his evil acts.

The chaos powered fox sighed as the paintings came at him again. He could feel his chaos powers draining fast so he needed to wrap this up fast. Though he still had plenty of energy left in him if it did run out of time. Regardless, Tails jumped onto the painting that came at him and bounced off before revving his tails up. The two tailed super fox's body then charged with electricity before he threw himself in a tackle at the ghost. The Super Flicky accompanying him decided to charge into the ghost as well.

Peach's eyes widened in shock at the extremely rude, rather self-destructive attack before she regained her senses. Her expression turned into a grimace when she realized the disrespect she'd just been subjected to. Wow. Rude. Now that just wasn't going to stand. Peach casually eased the painting up and over her shoulders, gently setting it down nearby. How was it that she had more respect for this ghost's art than he did? "...Alright." Peach relented, apparently genuinely disappointed by his refusal. "You asked for this." she lamented, before abruptly reaching out and attempting to blast Artsy with a magical heart.

Artsy suddenly sprung up infront of the four, his body turning red to symbolise his anger. "YOU WANT THE KEY SO BAD!? FINE TAKE THE STUPID KEY, JUST LEAVE NOW AND DON'T BOTHER ME FOR ALL ETERNITY!" He said as he pulled out the vault room key and threw It towards the group, Paula managed to catch It on time as Artsy quickly floated through a nearby wall In anger. "Idiots." Was the last thing he said quietly as he left the room, as soon as he left the door leading back to the halls quickly opened.

"Welp, we won, let's go head down to the vault and get the sanctuary stone team, our mission looks to be nearly over." She said to Tail's, Peach and Perry as she walked back to the hall and headed towards the foyer, hoping nothing will go wrong again...But Paula feel's she was forgetting about something.

Meanwhile, outside the castle.

The Horde of infected from earlier was trying to pull the draw bridge back down so they can get to the castle door and open It, after many, many try's, one infected managed grab the very top of the bridge, and with one pull from the others, the draw bridge was pulled down, and the horde slowly lingered towards the front door of Osoho castle and tried to push It open with there weight, no matter how jammed It is.

Paula looked at the door to the Vault room In the foyer before looking back at the group. "Well, this Is it." Paula said as she took out the key and walked towards the door, preparing to open It...However before she did, the door behind her started to slowly creek open, Paula turned behind her as her eyes suddenly widened, she quickly took note of the purple decaying hands that were starting to stick through the door. "Oh no, The Horde...They must of have gotten past the draw bridge!" Paula said as she used the Vault room key on the door and opened It.

Paula looked down In the next room to find out It was a dark stairway, she would of lit up the room, but with the approaching infected, she needed the group to get In and lock the door soon after, Paula turned towards the group and quickly called out to them.

Tails took down the last of Artsy's will to fight from the looks of it as his body returned to normal. He readjusted his goggles as the foe laid down in defeat from their assault. All they had to do now was get that-"Wah!" Tails proclaimed as the ghost back up. Oh right, he was a ghost and they were kind of immortal. At least they got the key now and can finally get what they came here for. "Right! Let's get going!" Tails said as he was happy to get out of here.

As they walked back to the vault door, he noticed there was a lot more noise than before... The horde must of somehow got past the drawbridge!... Which was surprising considering the whole point of those things was keeping people out. Paula did not have to tell Tails twice about getting through that door. "You go first, Peach," Tails offered Peach to go before him. He still had his cannon fully charged to keep them back if he really needed to. After her and Paula went through, he would quickly follow.

Peach blinked, pouting at no one in particular as Artsy left the room. She would turn to follow Paula back towards the vault, only to nearly jump out of her heels as the infected began trying to bash their way in. Geez! What were they doing, using one of their own as a battering ram out there?! ...Seemed like something the koopas might do, actually. Peach quickly stumbled into the vault after Paula, not hesitating when Tails offered her priority. It seemed a bit odd, receiving that sort of gentlemanly gesture from a kid, but it probably didn't matter--right? They'd all get through that door. "Oh my... Do you think they learned how to lower the bridge?" Peach asked no one in particular as she reached Paula, turning back to watch the door rather carefully. She for one was fully content to run. Fighting? Eh... Didn't interest her. She quietly hoped the infected wouldn't be rude to the ghosts, though. Somehow she didn't imagine they were good at parties.

Paula said to Peach as she watched the princess, her trusty umbrella and her fox friend enter the stairway as she watched the infected successfully bash open the front door. "Ok, time to close this!" Paula said as she slammed the door shut just before the horde could get to them and locked It, causing the group to be surrounded by darkness. "Hang on, let me just light up the stairway so we don't fall, nobody move." Paula said as she was about to prepare a temporarily torch again...When the stairway Itself suddenly lit up.

"That wasn't me." Paula said as the torch's on the wall lit up the stairs as Paula looked at the group. "I guess we can finally go without delay." Paula said as she felt the horde trying to bash through the door behind her. "And quick." She said as she walked down the stairs to where the vault was supposedly located.

"There It Is everyone, the sanctuary stone should be just through this vault...The question Is, one of us need's to do that dance Queen Fusho Instructed us to do." Paula said as she saw some engravings just beside the vault. "Oh a reminder." Paula looked at the engravings of the man doing the dance that could open the door, she looked back at the group and sighed. "I guess I'll do It." Paula said as she looked at the door, before quickly looking back at the group.

"Dont watch."

And so...She danced.



After doing that...Dance, the vault opened for the group. "It worked!" Paula said happily as she ran Into the vault to find the sanctuary stone...Or orb due to It's appearance.

"There It Is..."







The stone rested peacefully on display In the room, looking as If It was never touched since the last time Ness had It, The Egg of Light Is also right beside It, however It's best not to touch It since It still belongs to the now ghostly Fusho clan. Paula smiled happily after finding something...Something that belonged to her home world...Which gave her hope that one day everyone she knew and loved back In Eagleland were safe and sound somewhere, she walked towards the orb, but just as she was about to grab It, Paula ran back towards Peach and hugged her before hugging Tails soon after. "Thank you guys, for helping me get this far...Sure we haven't found the diary, but at least we got the orb...And we at least know that the diary Is in Pokey's factory...So we can get It some other time." Paula said as she looked up to Perry. "Sorry Perry, I cant hug you, but thank you for helping me as well so far." Paula said to Perry as she looked around the room.

"Now all we need to do Is get out of here be---Suddenly Paula heard a door smash open from afar, It must of been the horde breaking open the vault room door, causing Paula to gasp. "Quick, we need to think of a way out of here before they get here." Paula said as she walked towards the sanctuary stone and grabbed It, unknowingly helping everyone escape.

As soon as Paula grabbed the orb, a trap door opened below the group, causing them to fall. "AHH!" Paula said as she tried hold onto the orb as the trap door closed and the group landed In a small, relatively clean, watery pit that only reached there waist. "Were safe...Again, now where are we?" Paula said as she looked around the pit, they were four tunnels around them, one behind her, two on each side and the last In front of her, however all of them had bars In front of them, meaning they cant go into any of them.

Except for the one on Paula's right.

The bar's were old and rotten, and bits of It are missing, causing a small gap to be made that someone In the group can go through. "Look a gap...But I cant fit through It though." Paula said as she failed to get through the gap, she was just to big for It, she placed the orb on the water and watched It floated beside her before looking back at the group.

"What about you Tails...Perry? This gap might be just your size."

Tails followed behind Peach and Paula to the Vault that would signify their objective... The only issue now was getting out it seemed but he has to see the chamber before deciding. The light lit themselves but he ignored this as they reached the place that they had to do the dance... If the writings on the walls were the dance it seemed rather embarassing to do. "Right! I won't look," Tails said as he turned around to face the way they came in.

He would rather make sure no infected were coming than see that dance... Though it did make him curious enough to want to turn around. He refused to follow this urge though as he wanted to respect Paula's wishes. He only turned around when Paula declared that it worked and followed to the place the stone was kept.

Tails smiled as Paula seemed really happy at finding the Stone at last. She was so joyed that she started to hug Peach before... Hugging Tails who reacted in a sort of startled way. He was expecting it since she hugged Peach first but it still felt sudden to him. "That's right. Then we can finally figure out what that tall guy was talking about," Tails said until the sounds of the infected getting closer happened.

He looked around as he could not see a way out as it appeared they were... Were did the floor go? "Woah!" Tails was too busy looking for an exit he had no time to react as he fell down the trap. He landed facefirst into the water. He did not hear Paula ask where they are through the water in his ears as he pulled out.

Great, they went from one place with no exit to another. That is except for the small gap... It looked like the hole, while too small for Peach and Paula, was big enough for his ball form to get through. He was already pretty short so curled up will just make it more effective. "I can probably get through. I'll see if there is some way to get you two through. Perry might not be able to move on his own... I'll be back," Tails stated as he rolled through. Peach could give him Perry for company but regardless he is going to look around on the other side.

Peach couldn't help herself. She got curious and took a peek at that dance. What she saw made her smile. It was a very silly dance and watching Paula perform it was quite. She'd have to neglect to bring this up, however, for the other's dignity. When the dance finally finished, Paula turned around fully to acknowledge the open door. "You did wonderful, Paula~" she remarked light-heartedly. It was hard to imagine herself doing such a wild dance in her heels. She wasn't admitting defeat mind you, but it did sound tiring. Paula stood back a bit and watched as Paula moved to the orb, only for her eyes to widen in surprise as she ran back and gave her a hug. Peach would readily and affectionately return that embrace, a little magical heart rising from her head in response to the moment. Releasing Paula, she turned to glance at Tails with a big smile on her face. "I'd love to accompany you further, if you'll have me, Paula~" Peach offered in a rather enthusiastic way. Bravery wasn't her strong point, but she was no Luigi either.

Peach glanced around warily at the sound of invading infected, only for a trap door to abruptly spring under her and EEEEeeeeee....She floats down at a very comfortable speed, because of course she does. She's Peach. Seeing the water, Peach's eyes widened in alarm. Aawww heck naw! She wasn't getting her dress soaking wet. That sounded awful. As Peach was about to land she repositioned Perry underneath her, landing inside his canopy and sitting upon him. Sorry Tails, but Perry was a tad busy. Peach would offer her hand to Paula, offering her a hand up into the bowbrella. "Be careful Tails..." she murmured.
