Wherever Hades may be, he was being hunted. Snow and Fang the Owl and Wolf were following the trail of the Lord of the Underworld, for one purpose. To deliver a letter from their Goddess, Viridi. It was a dangerous mission for a wolf and owl, but they were a loyal team. The note is as followed:

Dear Trollvious Trollotron Hades the third,

I think we still have a score to settle. You may of survived your defeat at that goody two shoe servant's hands, but I heard you are back. Pity we never got to personally fight. Well, now we have that chance, now that we don't have neglectful game designers in our way! Come and face me in the stadium... Unless you are chicken!

Goddess of Nature, Viridi

Viridi awaited in the stadium, sitting down, meditating, while she waited for the Lord of the Underworld. She was sure he would accept. Well, she looked like she was meditating, she was probably imagining the look on Hades' face when she won... Yeah, she is very cocky.

Hades was currently sitting outside a bakery, on his table sat a plate of Mama Hippo's super duper amazing blue ribbon pineapple cookies as well as a cup of tea with a purple pot to refill it with every now and then. Hades was busy reading the rumors going on li gifted to him by hewdraw. "hmm, lets see...Oh, strawberry milkshake's hottest selling item in li? Odd, to say the least. Ill need to poison the strawberry stocks a little. Mr. Game and watch in love with a evil fish robot?? Oh now that Is juicy!" Hades said, eating a cookie and laughing. Well, until he was greeted by a jolly message by the hippie goddess herself.



"Oh, Have i been a good boy this year?" He said, taking the letter and speed reading it. "Hm. Been a while since someones referred to me by my full name. Yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah..." Hades started laughing, grabbing his plate of cookies and beginning to walk to sunshine stadium, eating the cookies in front of the poor homeless denizens of li without food. "Mmmm~ Tasty. Wish you had some, hmmm??" Hades laughed, throwing the plate at the wall before stepping through his portal to the sunshine stadium.



"Well, i see they fixed the wall. Oh, hello rose bud~" Hades said, waving at viridi. "You've impressed me, here i thought you would never have enough courage to call me out. Oh well, glad to see your still as much of lollicon bait as when i first saw you" Hades said, laughing as he crossed his arms while he stared directly into viridi's eyes. "I hope you dont disappoint...I needed to eat my veggies today anyway!"

The crowd was at a comfortable Zen to match one of the contestants in the battle, which was very strange to say the least. The audience was usually loud and uproarious, but then again a person could only cheer on a meditating person for so long. As the silence continued, it was soon interrupted by the God of the underworld himself, Hades. The crowd soon exploded with excitement and tension, it was a newbie to the battlefield versus the one hit wonder.

Before either of them could prepare any sort of battle stance, a barrel marked with the trademark DK insignia rolled onto the dirt and dust of the stadium. The barrel erupted as it stopped between the two of them and out came the expressive and sunglass wearing gorilla, Funky Kong. His grin was wide and his stance proud.

“Well it’s about time this slamming simian steps out from behind the commentator’s box and onto the battlefield! Are you ready for a banana slamma good time!?” Funky Kong announced after he pulled a microphone out of seemingly nowhere. “Don’t you worry about Surge! He’s um… Somewhere. It doesn’t matter though! You all have this marvelous monkey spectating this match between, um…” he looks at both opponent vacantly, wondering who they were. It appeared as though he shook his head not minding that he wasn’t able to identify the two and focused back onto the audience. “These two wonderful representatives of the Hyrule Kingdom! Now without further staling!”

The ape clapped and from the floor emerged a (very dirty) wheel of match possibilities. The ape began to dance around the spinner until he stopped directly next to it. With a mighty whirl of his ape fingers the spinner began to do what it was designed to. It spun right round like a record until the arrow got caught on one of the pegs. It landed on ‘Stats inverse battle.’

Funky Kong began to jump up and down like a crazed chimpanzee and beat his chest proclaiming; “Oh dudes! This match is gonna get freaky deaky! Alright, same rules apply except some crazy voodoo stuff is gonna flip your world upside down!” the Kong announced as it ran up to both contestants and flicked some sort of powder in both of their faces. The powder came from… Funky Kong’s unknown pocket space. “That stuff is gonna hit you hard if you’re not ready for it dudes! Anyway, best of luck to you both and try not to trip over your own feet!” the monkey stated as he leapt away.

"The only thing you'll be eating is the dirt, Hades," Viridi replied as she opened an eye towards Hades. She stood up as the announcer came in his barrel... "We are god/goddess from Kid Icarus Earth you hipster gorrilla," Viridi replied to Funky Kong's weird Hyrule comment.

Viridi gave a cough as the powder hit her in the face. What was this? She somehow felt... dumber and less wise... and her immune system could use some work... and her social skills somehow improved? Well, her balance and physical strength seems unchanged at the least. "Now for the real test? Which one of us is the better god/goddess by being able to adapt?" Viridi mocked lifting her staff up and standing and watching Hades. Her Fighting position was nothing fancy really.

Hades gave a unhappy cough as he was slapped with some powder of stats inversing, wiping his face free as he felt...Differant. Weaker, Smarter and...faster? "I suddenly have a rightous need to run a marathon. Mommy, im scared." Hades said mockingly, sighing. Well, this was a right mess he had gotten himself in. A battle of adaption to whatever situation you were in. Hades got into his usual battle stance, but for some reason it didnt feel right. So, hades adjusted to a stance one would take when preparing for a 50 meter sprint instead. "Ok stupid monkey, start the match already"

"Ding ding!" the ape announced from... wherever it was he went.

... Well, the Ref post was short and left a lot to be desired... but it was straight to the point at least. Not that there was much to say anyway.

Viridi knew her techniques may not help much with her new crap wisdom... Unless she got creative. Viridi used Cragalanche Crush, but instead of the boulder appearing above the foe, it appeared in her hands. She chucked the boulder at Hades. Hades might be faster than normal too, so Viridi needed to do something about that, so she summoned a Mini Reset Bomb and threw it at Hades. It was nowhere near the level of the average Reset Bomb, but hopefully the vines and flowers it creates would slow Hades down.

Hades prepared his long sprint, and right of the bat he got smacked in the face by a boulder. Hades grabbed the boulder off his face, pulling it off to show a face of "I am so done with this crap." Hades then looked in the air, seeing a mini-reset bomb coming right at him.

You know, a hell of a lot of good this +2 dexterity is doing hades. As when he was preparing to say something, he got hit in the face by the Rest bomb as well before a snide trolling word could escape his lips. Hades pulled the reset bomb off of his face as well, then deciding to take a big bite out of the reset bomb with a satisfied "Hm." Hades smirked, cleaning his teeth with a chuckle. "Could use more salt rosebud, And perhaps a roll that doesn't absolutely suck.Anyway, Time for my tornado dancing classes to pay off!" He said, creating a black wind tornado.

Of course, hades sent this at viridi. But before he did, hades jumped in himself, spinning himself around and around inside the tornado and sending himself at viridi in a drop kick position.

“AH HA HA! Welcome back to the Sunshine Stadium, folks! Do we have a match for you! We have Viridi in one corner and Hades in the other! The bringer of life vs the bringer of death! What say you, Big Top?!”

“That is nowhere near accurate to who they are…”

“Big Top! The match! Not me! Sometimes I wonder why I even ask you about anything!”

“I’m beginning to wonder the same thing…”

“You’re no fun. ANYWAYS! Let’s see, we have a bit of a game changer this time around, it looks like our two combatants aren’t themselves!”

“Hades doesn’t seem all that different…”

“Big Top! How can you even say that! Just look at him go! Zipping and zooming all over the stadium! I kind of want to go down there and run myself!”

“… Do it…”

“What?”

“Do it. I want to see what you look like running.”

“There’s a match going on down there!”

“Lt Surge isn’t here to stop you. Do you think Funky Kong will care?”

“Hmmmm…”

Viridi was not fast enough the tornado, even at normal speed. Tornados being an act of nature allowed her to not take it that bad. At least not as bad as the dropkick. "Bad rolls? Says the person that is failing to use his speed boost!" Viridi commented back as she thrust her staff into the ground to keep from going too far. Viridi did an uppercut motion as a tree suddenly popped up under Hades in a powerful uppercut. That was not all though, "Phosphora!" Viridi said as a bolt of blue lightning attempts to hit Hades at an angle to not only catch the tree on fire but attempt to drive Hades into the tree as it got set on fire. The Phosphora Bolt also has a chance of paralysis Viridi was hoping would work.

Hades got hit by the tree uppercut, was sent flying into the air and landed with a heavy 'Thump'. "...I...hate these...stats..." He groaned, looking up and seeing a giant lightning bolt heading right at him.

But hades thought quick, and immediately rolled himself out from under the lightning bolt's direction. "Seriously, I must of gotten into the wrong god business here, because summoning tree's out of nowhere sounds like a pretty good deal...Though, i suppose i cant complain when i could summon my own god's. HEWDRAW!" With that, hades punched three times in the air, ripping open black void's from his punches. From the black void's, three large flying serpents came forth, and began bickering to each other immediately.



"You know, i never signed up for this"

"Never you all mind we got work to do!"



"Ah take your work and shove it up yo-"



"QUIET!" Hades roared to the three, pointing at viridi. "I have to wait three turns before i can use you all again, now make use out of yourselves!" With that, the hewdraw's roared and each charged at viridi from different angles to try and send viridi flying all around with pure force.

A cloud of dust shrouded in one corner of the arena as the hatless Ballyhoo finally landed on the battlefield, though as far away from the fight as he possibly could.

“Alright Life Sphere! I’m coming at you live from the battle! Even more so than usual! Wow, look at them go! I feel like I’m really there! C’mon Big Top join in!”

“No, I’m good up here.”

“But you can really feel the action from down here!”

“I bet you can…”

“LIGHTNING BOLT!”

“Ballyhoo, there is no lightning bolt near you…”

“LIGHTNING BOLT!”

“Stop running around, you’re gonna get hit”

“GIANT SNAKE THINGS! Big Top, I’m starting to think this was a really bad idea!”

“… Your fault for listening to me. The one time you’ve ever done that…”

Viridi was too slow to dodge Hewdraw Red. However she was starting to catch up with the fight and flipped away from the 2nd one and jumped off the head of the last one. "Your minions are not very competent, Hades. No wonder all of the Underworld bosses was fought in the beginning half of the game," Viridi taunted. Viridi then threw another Cragalanche Boulder at Hades and summoned another blue bolt as a distraction. She then contacted Arlon with telepathy, "Arlon, execute plan Forces of Nature Triad attack!"

"Yes Lady Viridi," The combo ended with a giant blue beam of energy from space attempting to plow through Hades.

Ladies and gentlemen, the most useless +2 dexterity boost ever. Hades groaned, picking up the bolder from his body and started thinking as he looked above himself. "Ok...This is getting extremely annoying now!"

Hades decided to be a little smart here, using the bolder to block the lightning as all nature should be able to. But now hades had a pesky final smash to deal with.

Hades looked up at the giant laser heading for his face, and had a feeling that the boulder wasn't gonna do much of anything for laser beams. Hades got blasted back, flying into the wall and face planting into it quite pathetically. So much so, his head exploded once again, revealing his short term giant fireball replacement. "Well, here we are again. These arena matched really do make it a pain for me to keep my head on."



Hades groaned, getting up and starting to float into the air, Devastation ensemble appearing over him. "Now please, for the love of me...ROLL ME SOMETHING OTHER THAN A FOUR!" He yelled, black magic missile bullets, Lasers, Shield projectiles and the sort firing off his body and beginning to assault the whole stadium. And of course, Hades's head started firing off a giant laser of his own that began to move slowly after viridi.

“Well Life Sphere, I hope this change up in order of operations is making you all very happy, because MC Ballyhoo isn’t having a good time and now I’m thinking that I may just regret every life decision I’ve ever made. Except for hosting one of Mario’s parties.”

“Keep it up, the crowd’s going wild.”

“Big Top! There are laser beams and snake demons! I don’t know what’s going on and I’m starting to get really scared.”

“It’s not like either of the combatants would be able to hit you…”

“Big Top, they’re Gods!”

“Ballyhoo, you could probably take the messy haired one, he can’t dodge to save his life…”

“Don’t tempt him, Big Top! He might aim his next trio of snakes at me!”

“Big Top, don’t you dare…”

“Ballyhoo, I think this is the one time I can actually assure you that you can beat that guy no problem.”
