*I respectively request that any thread I partake in does not involve anything that requires me to write with the fattening/plumping/engorging/etc of characters. It find it uncomfortably grotesque as I try to put myself in my character's place when I write. Thank you in advance.
Additionally, Krexix's posts can sound rather angry/aggressive. Please note this is just the way he is written and does not reflect Cielmira 's feelings toward the thread or members partaking in it.

Home: Trez (Metroid) Alignment: Neutral - Leaning Evil Motto: ... |
Canon History:
The planet Trez is home to the Oerix, or was until the Space Pirates came around. Asserting dominance over the planet the natives were, at the time, powerless against the advanced technology available to the pirates. However the Oerix were not overall the type to submit easily and war broke out. Initially it was a slaughter, but over the years the Oerix learned how to modify procured technological devices for their use; to read part of the written language of the pirates; and most importantly how to break and or get around the larger devices to snap the necks of the invaders. It took easily a decade and half a planet before the pirates and Oerix were on even fighting ground.
In the end Trez was rendered uninhabitable by what little populations remained. And so, with the pirates fleeing with the few numbers that remained with a fair number of Trez's resources, the majority of Oerix took to space after them using patched carriers that the pirates were forced to leave behind. A small number remained on the planet and began what repairs they could to the ecosystem. Unfortunately as the Oerix had never done any extended space exploration beyond their immediate solar system they were met with many misfortunes to the point of almost extinction; whether it be their quick tempers toward alien species or lack of knowledge about where to find supporting planets for resupply.
Krexix was no more than a brute on one of the luckier ships lead by one of the elder warriors, by who's general wisdom and sense they had survived so long. It had been several years since they left their planet in search of Space Pirates, and while they had stumbled upon a few smaller fighter ships there seemed little hope they would accomplish the greater task. The time in space had begun to feel like home; they were effectively drifters, and known as such to any that knew of their obscurity. To others they were just as bad as the pirates if you got in their way, having no qualms about taking a life for whatever reason.
It was during a pirate attack that it happened. The warp core on their ship was ruptured and a slip drive on the enemy ship damaged into fritzy activity. One moment he was crushing a pirate under his foot and the next... there was nothing. And he awoke in a strange place with nothing familiar for miles.
Allies: None Yet | Enemies/Rivals: Mr. L Space Pirates |
Primary Attacks:
An instinctual predator standing at about 6'11, Krexix specializes in stalking and getting in close to his targets to finish them off. He is a brutal combatant and does not play well with others.Special Abilities:
(1) Bull Rush - [14%] Covered in a natural plated armor, somewhat like scales, and heavily built, Krexix can use his own body weight as a weapon. He is not easy to move and when he gets moving can become somewhat of a juggernaut, able to crush opponents between himself and another solid object; whether it be through running at them or falling.
(2) Grapple - [6%] Another way he uses his solid mass of muscles and thick bones. Once he is able to get in range and secure a hold he with either squeeze his captured target against his natural body armor, dig in his talons, take a bite, or a combination of the three options.
(3) Skewer - [18%] Littered with boney spines around his head and down his back, mixed with the availability of his thick bone talons and leg blades it isn't surprising to find he likes to throw himself at unexpected angles at his opponents. Mixed with a bull rush or lunge Krexix will decide to turn his back to his opponent at the last second and give them a face full of needles or drench his leg blade in their insides with a good solid reverse kick.
(1) Lunging Strike - [11%] Krexix possesses a set of veined membrane wings much like that of an insect. While he is unable to fly or even hover due to his mass, they can be mixed with his powerful legs to launch himself into the air and give enough time at the peak of his jump to position himself for a lunging strike at his opponents. He can also use them during a bull rush to aid in the impact [+2 to hit; no added damage].Final Smash:
(2) Camouflage - [0%] While the section of his body hidden underneath his wings looks to be more body plates it is actually the source of his camouflage capabilities. The hard bulbs produce a chemical that interacts with the rest of his body and gives the illusion of invisibility to the visible spectrum and those with dark/night vision, meaning they have to make a Perception check of 15+ to find him. This effect can be no longer than 2 posts before the bulbs 'overheat' and he fades back into normal sight. Once he's been spotted by an opponent they no longer need to make perception checks to spot him unless line of sight is broken (either he takes cover or the opponent focuses on something else).
(3) Verupalsy - [0%] Krexix is able to spit a thick adhesive out of thin tubes that open into the sides of his mouth. While in his mouth his natural solvent prevents the adhesive from solidifying, but once he spits it out it only takes a few seconds for the substance to take effect. He can release long streams or large gobs of the solution. Once it has begun to harden it constricts and begins releasing a paralyzing chemical. Only organic creatures are effected. Krexix himself is immune to the effects.
(4) Heat Wave - [9%] Requiring some build up time, the oerix will activate the bulbs hidden under his elytra to release a sudden heat wave that radiates out from his body in an area effect. The wave only has a five foot radius, its heat dissipating swiftly into nothing beyond that. If caught next to Krexix (in melee) one would take damage and become burned, but if near the edge of the wave it is only minor damage. It cannot be used simultaneously with camouflage. The bulbs require a one post cool down after usage, but unlike Ravage does not interfere with his camouflage.
Ravage - [10%] Enraged, the bulbs that generate Krexix's camouflage capability will go into overdrive. The soft flesh beneath his natural armor will begin to burn up and turn a mild red, his camouflage activates to some degree and makes him harder to focus on when in motion [-2 to hit] thanks to the rippling heat, and his body temperature increases so drastically that a momentary tap would burn and being within 10ft of him causes damage. This also interacts with his body's verupalsy fluid causing it to secrete uncontrollably to the point Krexix would almost appear to be foaming at the mouth with the stuff making any melee contact with him have a 50% of paralysis on top of the burn.History On Li:
When in this state he becomes kill focused and ravenous, ignoring any damage that is done unto him whilst in the blood crazed state. Due to the effective heat barrier around him energy based attacks do half damage; fire doing null. Krexix's body can only sustain such an enraged state for 3 posts before needing to cool back down. He is also unable to use his camouflage effectively until the bulbs have cooled [3 posts]. If in a chilled area the cool down time is reduced by 1 post. If he happens to become exceptionally enraged during this activation he can extend the activation time by 1 post, however it damages him [15%] and extends his cool down by 1 post.
Other Info:Having wandered injured and exhausted upon arriving on the decrepit world of Li outside the Sphere the scouts that found him had an easy task of bringing an unconscious Krexix into the hospital for tests on his possible infection. Finding nothing, though somewhat questionable signs, they patched him up and left him to heal. As could be expected, when he awoke he was less than civil about determining where he had been moved. The staff let him leave with as little fuss as possible though kept security on watch as he moved through the darkened streets of the Sphere.
It was a strange place but not one of hostility; most creatures backing away from his fearsome appearance. Krexix learned what he could of the place by listening to conversations around him over the next day, wandering the streets until he was finally approached by those who were tasked with ensuring he wasn't going to go on a rampage. He listened to maybe half of what they said, focusing any questions he had on what was outside the sphere, before shoving them off and giving them warning not to bother him again.
( Li Transit )
After much wandering and familiarizing himself with this new world Krexix stumbled upon some of Bowser's posters calling for mercenaries to help stop someone called Eggman from delivering cargo. He also read over a similar enlistment form from the opposing party, but the raw strength and imposing features of Bowser and his spiney army was more appealing. Allied with koopas and spineys Krexix aided in the attack of Eggman's transport; of which was being guarded by Mr. L & Onaga. The two of who were proving to be quite troublesome. The fight dragged on, buildings exploding, giant chain chomps tearing up the streets, robots diving in at last moments to save the transport, and they got the transport to its last legs. Unfortunately Krexix was also on his. Bowser's force was decimated, and the slippery green engineer just too lucky for Krexix's own good. The oerix was forced to retreat or risk trophification; and he managed to escape.
( Assassin's Paradise )
Following the rampage in the streets Krexix decided he needed better equipment, having lost all his weapons in the jarring transport onto this sick planet. Flicking through the mission terminals he found a job that sounded like it was going to be a good old straight forward confrontation. Allied with a fearsome mage the pair followed the trail of bodies to an abandoned prop warehouse. The two fiends behind the recent murders were all to happy to openly engage the hero duo, which ended rather swiftly in Krexix's and Black Mage's favor. The oerix was a little disappointed with the ease of the fight, but he was rewarded with bombs and other equipment so it wasn't all bad.
( Enter the Bull )
Witnessing the panic and stirring of chaotic tendencies after the abduction of the Life Sphere leaders Krexix volunteered to be a part of the recon/rescue team tasked with following the big bad Black Shadow into the far reaches of Li. Partly because a mission of such scale would undoubtedly mean greater rewards, but also because he had a bit of a soft spot for trying to prevent the utter dismantling of a civilization; not that he'd admit it. Aided by Miles Prower, Sheik, and the mysterious pokemon trainer Shade, the four crammed themselves into the Blue Falcon and infiltrated Black Shadow's base. They were to sneak in, locate the leaders, then report to an outside team and plan an attack-rescue. Things of course didn't go smoothly.
The awaiting team outside was ambushed and managed to do not only their own job but that of Krexix's team as well. Before they could get anywhere a retreat was called and the band of four rushed back out to the Blue Falcon lying in wait to take them home. Of course, on their way out they had to cause some trouble. Tails dropped an EMP at the power generator the group found minutes earlier, which unfortunately released a horde of infected. Once in the hangar the quartet discovered this unfortunate side effect as the infected numbers now stood between them and Cpt. Falcon, who was fighting off the enemies. Most of the team donned their provided invisibility cloak, Krexix charging forward and activating his camouflage, then merely snuck by the horde to get into the speeder. Krexix followed but also dropped his X-Bomb at the edge of the mass to clear some of the enemies and give the group clearance to escape.
( Maverick Hunter Mission 4: Invisible Meance )
Driven by the hope of a worthy opponent in this so claimed 'Invisible Menace' Krexix set out with a pair of others to investigate the hostage situation and bring down the rogue maverick as issued by an unknown employer. Upon encountering a lumbering gorilla animatronic, the group felt stealth would be the best option and followed it all the way to a maze; all the while being pecked at by their true target. The needles pricking his skin on occasion got the oerix well riled up, entering into the maze without bothering to even check that his companions were following. It turned out somewhere along the line they had been lost, but Krexix didn't really care. Focused on finding the invisible maverick the oerix swiftly mastered the maze and was met with an impenetrable door.
Forced to wait, more Li heroes arrived to join in the campaign. A bit too showy, ignoring the dangers of the massive barrel throwing monkey sitting atop the maze grounds, the pair ended up in a losing battle with the monkey even though Krexix warned them not to. Alone again, it was either by sheer pity or an ignorant clearing of conditions that the door slid open and allowed Krexix inside; slamming shut behind him. Entering the darkened chamber the oerix went into one-on-one combat with the Sting Chameleon, quickly besting the devious maverick to Krexix's own chagrin. He wanted more. He trophified the villain and entered into another chamber only to find no further challenge: the hostage room. All trophified, the hostages, the invisible menace, and an unrecognized monster were teleported from the room and a note was left for Krexix. Unfortunately he can't read, thus the annoyed brawler stowed the scribbles away and made his way back to the Life Sphere to get someone to read it to him.
Being rather new to the abundance of species in the galaxy Krexix is not able to read much of other languages besides his own and the dialect used by Space Pirates. However, he has picked up the verbal languages of the common languages used in ports, such as a few used by humans.
