The sight of nintendo land was indeed a majestic sight to behold, but now full of hidden terrors and crazed animatronic robots out for blood and anything else that the narrator can think of to scare the living hell out of a person's existence, the infected were indeed in the area, trying to get at the chamber further in to get at some nifty squishies within, but unfortunately for them they had a major threat to contend with as a result of their attempt.

The invisible menace; the spirit sharpshooter of the haunted forest: Sting Chameleon.

One by one the infected creatures attempted to breach the door, and one by one they fell at the chameleons wicked tongue and cruel attacks all those who did survive were forced into retreating in order to GTFO before they too were mercilessly slaughtered by the maverick.

With silence, the menacing robo-lizard returned to its lair and marveled at its pile of hostages that were trophified by his hands, not knowing that he was the next target of cruel karma in the form of three heroes who stepped up to the challenge.

MISSION START!

Charizard looked up at the amusement park and sighed, he was already knowledgeable about this place.
He could hear gunshots and instantly froze up, closing his eyes and trying to will his tail flame to stop flickering and his claws to stop trembling.
He couldn't wait for the others to arrive.

His thick curled talons dug into the tainted soil, the pounding of his footsteps ebbing into the air as the weighted behemoth trampled his way toward the meeting point in this cursed place. The various ruined stalls and rides he passed perplexed him. The chipped colors of bright paint peeling off giant faces and gaudy signs, cracked seats of bizarre octopus-like mechanisms that were meant to spin rapidly in circles, crushed miniature cars with snapped antenna, fake guns strewn around rotted targets, twisted fences a sad remnant of ordered lines... Was this the epitome of entertainment for those mundane who hadn't felt the ravages of war? Krexix snorted.

The sound of battle was hard to miss in this desolate place, the spines lining the alien's back bristling with anticipation as he made his way further. Soon the scaly form of an orange dragon caught his attention, the glow of its tail fire bouncing dully of the surrounding corroded metals. A pleased grin grew across the dark features of Krexix's face. This was more like it. No tiny fox, little girl, skinny mage, yelpy turtle... No, this creature was a fearsome beast toned for battle. As he approached the oerix gave no verbal greeting or call, no wave or unnecessary gesture, the speckle of white dotting each of his four onyx eyes rested on Charizard's form and once he was close Krexix simply gave a respectful nod.

Chase walked through the amusement park, the less than silent footfalls of his power suit hinting at his arrival.The plague had already desecrated his fond memories of Nintendo Land, but that didn't keep him from being furious when he had learned someone was keeping hostages and using one of the attractions as a hideout, desecrating the memories he had of this place further. This wasn't just another mission for Chase. This was personal.

As he made his approach, he vaguely recognized the one of the two reptiles as a Charizard. He had a thin grasp of Pokemon, but that's all it was. He stopped on the other side of Charizard and gave the two silent, curt nod. He hadn't bothered introducing himself as he was in no mood for pleasantries. Seeing the display at the entrance, he was glad he decided to wear the Power Suit instead of summoning it.

It would take considerably more than that to off him while in his Power Suit after all.

The group managed to get together, but this was the start of their adventure, this was no mere challenge or anything of the sort as they sound of something shifting ahead in the area suddenly came into view, a giant Donkey Kong animatronic that was made of pixel-esque nanomachines stumped along the path leading further into the chaos of what was left of a Zelda themed area reminiscent of the lost woods.

If the group follows the giant pixelated DK without alerting it to their presence, it would lead them to their target, but it would take caution and a fair amount of luck to avoid detection.

Charizard smiled almost gleefully when he spotted the creatures accompanying him,  a beast resembling a dragon like himself, and a swordsman. This "reploid" didn't stand a chance anymore!

Spirit high, he stomped inside, spotting a robot ape. He followed it with his eyes till it hit him, it could have a leader! Still, he wasn't the best at sneaking. He settled with lowering himself to all fours and moving only fast enough to keep it in sights.

It seemed everyone was about on the same page regarding needless introductions and spouting of words. Good. Krexix wasn't the greatest at conversation to begin with, and as he understood of the 'pocket' monsters they were about on the same level. As if cued by the end of the trio's silent nods the heavy stomps of a rather large animatronic came to their attention, the owner passing through the set of trees composing the likeness of a forest from better times. Krexix's nostrils flared as his eyes locked onto the robotic being and a curiosity rose. Where was it going if not gunning after them? Surely the mechanized monkey wasn't simply that unobservant. Although, it was big enough there wasn't likely many enemies it had to worry about so perhaps it was just an ignorant buffoon.

The oerix watched as the dragon dropped down and moved in pursuit of the fake DK. His head tilted ever so slightly to the side and watched for a few seconds before following. Being a rather weighty and bulky creature himself, standing at nearly seven feet tall of armor and muscle with no soft padding to speak of there was little he could do in the way of stealth beyond actually turning invisible momentarily. Luckily the animatronic's own thwomping steps could hide Krexix's own, thus he attempted to use that to his advantage as he trailed the monstrous robot. He kept a few paces behind the charizard and paid no mind to what the smallest of them was doing. Of the three of them he should be the best at concealing his presence.

Chase attempted to follow along, not bothering to use his Morphball as the other two appeared to be the furthest things from stealthy. Or at least the largest of the two. Fortunately, he was capable of maintaining his normal Dexterity even in the heavier suit. He was, however, just a bit out of practice due to not having played Metroid Blast in a long time.

Luckily for the trip of intrepid smashers, the pixelated animatronic gorilla was too busy to even notice them.

The three would hear shifting of shrubs and trees, indicating that the animatronic ape had begun to go deeper into the forest, towards what was known as the sacred forest meadow, unfortunately the ape would be leading the three to the back entrance of the very building they would eventually be arriving at. Of course there is the boss in said area, who was currently invisible and was ready to pounce upon his victims.

Sooner rather than later though, their hidden enemy sent a blast of its weapon at the three, intending to confuse them.

Charizard smiled as he avoided detection, wondering how something could be stupid enough to miss their colorful little group. He perked up as rustling rang out, entertaining the idea of flying over the forest and diving to the back of the building.

His idea was quickly crushed as a bullet screamed toward him.

Charizard had no warning and hissed under his breath as the bullet hit him right in the shoulder. He clamped his jaws shut, trying to quiet his tiny whimper. He stood stock still, crouching low to continue his stealth.

He let a small breath through his teeth, relieved as he stayed hidden.

Unlike the fiery lizard crawling in the front line, Krexix was given plenty of warning; by way of Charizard being hit. The snap of tongue and angered hiss with a slight recoil and new mark on the shoulder was more than enough for the oerix to put two and two together knowing their foe was an invisible menace. Krexix immediately ducked, dropping onto his hands and knees just in time to hear the faintest whiz of something flying overhead. His lips parted as if he was about to match the large pokémon's reaction seconds earlier but the alien remained silent. Perhaps this giant monkey was leading them into a trap... Or maybe these were just typical dart defenses any sane person would setup to protect their lair. It was hard to say if the attack was from their invisible foe or not.

Geurilla warfare had never been a thing of practice in his space experience, though he wasn't wholly unfamiliar with its practices thanks to the assault on his home planet. Making to stand again Krexix was paying more attention to the ground for triggers. Part of him wanted to hasten the group's progress, but if it was something as simple as traps versus the onslaught of an unseen villain that would be their end. Instead, Krexix gave a quick look to his partners to assess the damage. It didn't seem like the sting had done too much, but over time the little stuff could build up.

"Round shield," the oerix grumbled a whisper of reminder to his allies. In his experience the energy shields all smash brothers had were often forgotten about until it was too late. Probably because it isn't something any adventurer possessed normally in their respective worlds. Hopefully, here, they would be able to make some use of it to avoid being picked off before they even confirm where this Invisible Menace is. For now it seemed continuing to follow the noisy animatronic deeper into the forest was the best plan they had.

And now they were under attack. No surprise there. Instead of dodging, Chase simply deployed his Power Suit's Shield. Then he heard the reminder. Chase chuckled mentally. He had only used that shield once and during his first mission too.

It didn't seem like the shot impacting his shield, nor the aforementioned shield's hum would be loud enough to get the attention of the Donkey Kong.

WIS ROLL{DK animatronic}: 8-4=4{still ignorant of the situation}
The DK animatronic still lumbered through the forest, ignorant of what the situation was despite the problem within the area, it had taken to letting the group follow it to the sacred forest meadow section of the lost woods zone, and was moving much faster now that it had gotten out of the forest proper. Though the group had no means of following it from above as tall unscaleable earthen walls prevent them from climbing to the top, and if one did, they would be met with a point-blank barrel thrown at them to knock them down.

The invisible maverick was somehow able to pursue the group from behind as it too was hunting, and he certainly did not want his hoard of hostages to be rescued by the group.

    Shiya Kirigaya hated the fact that he was here... He didn't want to be here, he certainly didn't care about destroying some rampaging robots in the middle of an infected amusement park, nor any price that the unknown Maverick Hunter was willing to pay him; so why in the world was he here? "Damn it. Even beyond the grave your still hassling me." Shiya murmured to himself while reminiscing of his deceased friend. He had made a promise to him long ago to not turn his back on people in need. Lo and behold, here he was now going off to rescue hostages from an abandoned amusement park filled with infected zombie people and a rogue robot; maybe a tad bit more of an extreme than a war-torn battlefield, but not by much.

    Spotting where there appeared to be a giant monkey stomping through an artificial forest of sorts while being followed by a beast of sorts and someone in a metal suit, Shiya set off to join with them. According to the Intel he had been able to receive on the Maverick, it was apparently a sharpshooter. Shiya wasn't good at long range combat, so its be best to stay on his guard until he'd be able to detect where the robot was and where it was keeping the hostages.

    Hearing a discharge of some sorts, Shiya instinctively looked onward towards where he thought he heard the noise only to see some sort of blast of energy speeding towards him. There was barely any time to react now, but hopefully Shiya would be able to dodge the oncoming surprise attack. "Damn, how did it already know I was here?!"

    Because of his quick reaction, Shiya was able to avoid the blast before it was able to hit him. "Still, that was a close call." He sighed to himself before heading over to where the others were gathered while tailing the large gorilla robot into the maze-like forest structure.

It seemed the giant robotic ape had led them into a rather interesting built up area. Massive earthen walls towered before them, looking to be an obvious man-made construction considering the carefully crafted flat sides to prevent climbing by any who weren't overly large or built like a spider. Krexix' four blackened eyes trailed upward to the canopy of the thick trees. Even though they had broken away to reveal this clearing a heavy fog seemed to cloud the true sky, faint sparks of light twinkling like stars, and the solid trunks of wood acting as effective walls were now replaced with actual walls of rock and dirt. It did appear as though that there was a nice large open area above; unfortunately for them as it made it easy travel for the animatronic ahead of them. Thankfully though it still didn't seem to know the group was here.

Not that that could be said of their Invisible Menace. A painful prickle erupted from his arm as one of the darts came flying out from... somewhere. Krexix stifled an angry growl as he immediately focused his attention on the near foliage, guessing from the point of contact where this needle had come from and attempting to spot their silent assailant. He looked for anything that could give away a position. Disturbance in the leaves both bush and tree branches, noise of any sort, a shimmer or distortion... But this invisible guest was too good for such basic attempts.

Returning his attention back to their progress through the area he discovered the large fire lizard seemed to have wandered off on his own. The oerix's nostrils flared in agitation, taking only but a few moments to scan the immediate area for their ally before letting it go. It was a stupid call, but Krexix wasn't a babysitter. Maybe it'd get caught by their target and make a lot of noise signalling the menace's location. That was the best hope Krexix had for him.

In his brief search to spot the charizard he instead noted a new face approaching. His lips pulled back as he cringed at the bright reds standing out like a sore thumb against all the earthy colors surrounding them. It was best this man had stayed further back while they were trailing the ape. The only sort of greeting Shiya received from the towering alien was a disapproving grumble preceding a huff and a turn away to get back to the little maze ahead. Given the difficulty it would be to scale the walls even ignoring the fact there was a dangerous robot up there there was only one way to go: into the one opening and traverse the hallways. Stepping forward Krexix moved into the maze, peeking around the corner first with a glance back and forth down the two options. The left led to a a pond of some sort but the right bent around and continued further making it the obvious choice from this position. Should the way be clear Krexix would head that way.
