It was a sunny day in the sphere. Everything was as you'd expect it. Nothing was unusual about the day itself, but today was the day a group of good kids were going to save Christmas. Black and White were standing outside of the Magical Girl's Society Lodge, waiting for the others to arrive. nearby, Shin!Arle was hanging out looking bored. Once the others started arriving though, the two unovans would begin checking over their stuff to make sure they had everything they'd need.


" . . . I'm hungry again." Black lamented. "--again? You just ate like fifteen minutes ago." White replied in bewilderment. Thinking about it for a moment now that she wasn't distracted, she quickly realized what was wrong. "...It's because you're touching that weird pot." White replied, gesturing to the cookpot Black was currently handling. "--Oh yeah! Heehee." Black replied with a little light-hearted giggle. Neither of them knew what it did yet, but surely they could find some use for a big ol' pot on their journey, right? Black awkwardly and rather haphazardly placed the pot on top of her bag, unable to fit it inside. "Got everything you need?" White asked. "Yup! You?" Black replied. "Mmhm." White murmured in confirmation.




Finally, Black turned to beam at Dawn. "Morning Dawn~! Thanks for inviting us to go with you! You're looking great by the way. I can tell you're ready to set off." Black cheerily remarked, not so low-key demonstrating some affection for the other. Watching this, White glanced to the others who may already be present. "We're all set, so when everyone's ready I think Arle is going to be opening a portal to Icicle Peaks for us. We'll need to find our own way from there, since by all accounts we have no reason to believe there's anything there except for that map you've got. I guess it must be protected from anyone accidentally stumbling into it somehow..." White explained. Nearby, Shin!Arle leisurely waved a hand from where she stood leaning against the wall of the lodge. She couldn't go with them, of course. She was still grounded. "I'm a little excited. How about you girls~?" Black chimed in.

"Pipip-luuuuup!" The shrill and cheery call of Dawn's Piplup approached from down the street of the Magical Girl's Society lodge as it quite gleefully marched towards the two awaiting trainers, preceding his own! Said trainer was hastily buttoning up as she jogged to keep up with the water-type penguin, having taken the time to track down and dig up one of her warmer outfits in preparation for their cold journey. Yet somehow still neglected to wear any pants. "Hey Black, White! Sorry for being late! I got a little held up finding this jacket... hehe!"

Gesturing with a wild shrug while Dawn regained her breath, Piplup held no qualms shaking his head condescendingly towards Black and White regarding his trainer. "Pip. Luuup." He remarked, in pokespeak, roughly translating as "At least she didn't take six months this time." Shooting her Piplup a glare, getting the general gist of the pokemon's message even without understanding the words, Dawn tapped threateningly on her pokeball before turning back to Black with a winded smile.

She rushed forward to take her human-pokemon's hands, shaking them with a warm and appreciative smile. "I really appreciate you guys tagging along. And thanks~" Blushing a bit from Black's compliment, the trainer did a small twirl before striking a pose. "--I love this jacket, but haven't had the change to wear it that much lately." After reveling in the praise for a few more moments, Dawn turned her attention over to White with an equally enviting smile. "You too White. It's great you're coming too--And don't worry! I've got the map, and with all of us together, we'll be sipping hot cocoa with Santa in no time!"

While his trainer mingled as they waited for the rest of their mission group to show up, Piplup meanwhile trotted off past the gaggle of girls and over to Warle. Raising his flipper up to his beak, the water bird emitted a thankful chirp while saluting, thanking the grounded mage for her help.

“Ninjask!” a Bug/Flying type Pokémon buzzed in agreed excitement with Black. She liked the idea of there being a haven like this on Li. Considering her traveling companions, it’d be a breath of fresh air to stop by now and again. Speaking of stopping by, her trainer should be catching up to her any minute now.
Surely enough, hearing them before you saw them, up the street from the direction opposite to Dawn came a humble singing voice accompanied by a jazzy scat harmony courtesy of a Ludicolo.

Before he could start the next verse, he opened his eyes and stopped dead in his tracks, causing his Ludicolo to prod himself right in the belly with his trainer’s stuffed bag pack. Purple realized all too late just where his Ninjask was leading him. This wasn’t the way to Icicle Peaks. This wasn’t even the exit of the Life Sphere. This was somewhere he’d never been before: The Magical Girl Society lodge.
It didn’t look quite like he was expecting it to, but then again, he had no idea what to expect it to look like. Figures he’d never been here before; he didn’t know much about the place, but he did know the one rule: No Boys Allowed. Guess going up to the door and knocking was out of the question. Who knows what they might do to him if they caught him trespassing! …It was probably a safer bet to just stay outside and wait at the edge of the property.

It made sense that they let Nintenda in, she was a girl after all-Oh look! There she was! Maybe if he got her attention, she could convince them to let the three guys in-Wait there’s White, and Black and... He could only see her from behind but that third trainer looked familiar somehow…
Trying to get their attention suddenly became out of the question. Somehow, in an instant he had lost all ability to move or vocalize and all he could feel was his heart beating louder than his singing. Was it too late to just turn back and cancel joining the mission?

“Ludicoloooo~!!!” Kappineapple loudly called out to Nintenda, waving exuberantly at White and Black from the gate. He was doing his very best to get the ladies’ attention and it worked.
“Ninjask~!” Nintenda happily waved back.

Yep, it was too late.

The only thing that could make things even weirder for the sole male of the group partaking in the mission was seeing someone far different from any Pokemon trainer. In fact this girl didn't have any Pokemon on her, just a Katana and dressed in a military uniform, luckily she had a backpack, albiet the top was carrying a tent for sleeping in.

And for those who were waiting they could see dark blue hair in a ponytail, held by a red ribbon(and no she wasn't in an army known for the logo that was the same color of her ribbon).

"Oh, are you here for the mission too?" the girl said, looking at Purple with a mixture of curiosity and bewilderment. Though this was easily replaced by a calm and near motherly nature despite her upbringing. "We might as well get over there to the group, don't want to be late do we?" she added, escorting Purple onto the premises towards the others.

Important Stuff

((Hi guys! As you can see I finally got to this thread and created a system for the mission. For this system, it would be wise to read the top bar in every one of my posts. It will provide you with information that might just help you avoid danger. There will be some time skips in this thread so that things can flow smoothly. For this mission, you will be required to keep track of ONE EXTRA STAT in addition to your health and bubble shield.

That stat is called "Hunger". The hunger stat has 5 levels: Stuffed, Satisfied, Hungry, Very Hungry and Starving.

You will be starting at satisfied. Make sure to put this in your health bar right away.

Eating well will have a benefit to your rolls and undereating will of course carry penalties. However, eating will reduce your food supplies, listed above right now as 100% There is a risk / reward at play here, and I will occasionally ask you to change your hunger stat. I strongly recommend that you mark when you are eating with brackets to minimize the chance of me forgetting by the time I finish reading your post. ;p

Regarding pokemon, you can have them run off and hunt for their own food if you want. If you do this, we can just handwave that and I'll tell you when they can come back, as well as whether they ran into any trouble along the way. However, they cannot bring back food for your trainer this way. If you want to hunt for food for that you can share that you have to RP out. ))

Shin!Arle crouched down and folded her arms over her knees, offering the lightest smile to piplup and a relaxed imitation of a salute. " . . . Take care of my friends, alright? I'm depending on you." she softly remarked, patting the pokemon on the head. Oh if only she could come along somehow. Wouldn't that be helpful?

Nearby, Black eagerly took Dawn's hands and held/shook them for a moment appreciatively, giddily giggling a bit. Her eyes lit up with joy as Dawn modeled for her. "That's a really pretty dress coat!" Black replied in mild awe, leaning to one side rather goofily as if to get a better angle as she checked Dawn out, admiring her rather openly. "Kinda matches the trainer, huh?" White playfully flirted, goading Black on. Black was momentarily taken off guard. She giggled. "Yup! Fit for a champ, and the prettiest trainer on Li. That's Dawn~! Leading with charm." Black replied with a note of pride in her tone, wrapping an arm around Dawn's shoulder and side-hugging her affectionately. White smiled at the duo, content with this. "Glad to be here. ...Honestly, the idea of getting to see Santa's Village for myself was too tempting to pass up. It's kind of legendary, y'know? Nobody's sure if it's even real." White added. 

The sound of singing brought two more. White turned and joined Black in smiling brightly. "Hey Purple~! I see you're in the Julymas spirit" Black greeted in a playful tone. "Glad to see you're doing well, Purple. Sakura. Ready to go?" White asked. As if on cue, two more girls emerged from the magical girls society. One clad in pink, the other in lavender. Both blonde. The slightly taller girl was Doctor Ciel, a renowned sciencist and owner of the Life Sphere's only public library. She was not known as a hero, however her contributions to the quality of life of the Life Sphere were too numerous to discount. At her side was Valorie, an unfamiliar name and face by most accounts. "It's a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Doctor Ciel. I'll be tagging alongside you to try and make sure your journey goes smoothly." she explained. "...And I'm Valorie." the other girl began, only to trail off. "...Valorie didn't want to be alone, so she decided to come along with us." Ciel explained on her behalf, speaking for the slightly bashful trainer turned sorceress. She then took Valorie's hand reassuringly. "...Glad to have you! We should get going. I'm sure keeping this portal open is hard on Arle." White remarked. Nearby, Shin!Arle shrugged gently, declining to comment. 

One by one the group would step through the portal, before finally--the cold hit them. It was an immediate chill, mild but distinct from the life sphere's warmth. It would only get worse as they got close to their goal. Ahead of them, a tall mountain covered in snow and ice awaited. Perilous, their journey would test their minds and bodies. With only an old-fashioned map to guide them, the risk of getting hopelessly lost was all too real. 

The first thing the map suggested was to climb the mountain to a specific point. For the moment being, your path is clear. Nothing is stopping you from proceeding other than an uphill walk. Nothing that was easy to observe, anyway...

In the distance, a trio of creatures observed from a hidden alcove, only able to see the group at all because of a rather poorly manufactured telescope. "A gaggle of girls and their goofy, gawky geek; what a lovely treat! They seek the spirit of Christmas and Yuletide cheer, but outside the protection of their sphere they are quite weak. A terrible fate... they shall meet."

((Everyone! The first step of your journey is an easy one. Proceed up the mountain at either a regular or a fast pace at your discretion. Go quickly, and you'll use more energy. Go at a slower pace and you'll arrive at your next destination later in the day.))

“Oh hello-” Purple greeted politely before turning and realizing it was another girl. One dressed in a military uniform and armed with a katana. Oh No! She must be the security of this place! He’s been busted! Purple had only heard ghost stories about what happens to boys who get caught trespassing here: Some get turned Into girls… if they’re lucky. Because the rest get boiled alive in cauldrons and then they’re…they’re…
“No wait please! Spare me! I was just- I mean I wasn’t gonna-” Purple dropped to his knees and pleaded for his life.
“Please let me go! I promise I’ll never come back and never tell anyone I was here! Your secrets are safe with me! In fact, I don’t even Know any of your-wait, the mission?” He asked, opening his eyes and doing a double take. Oh yeah, the mission. That thing you signed up for? It’s not trespassing if you were invited after all, is it?
“O-Oh yeah the m-mission. I-I came for that.” Purple nodded self-consciously as Sakura escorted him onto the premise.
“I’m fine, by the way. I mean I’m Purple duFine. T-that’s my name and stuff.”

“Ludicolo!” Kappineapple jubilantly introduced himself, taking Sakura by the hand and shaking it. “A-and this is Kappineapple. My Ludicolo.” He translated, playing off his embarrassment. Coming up behind the Ludicolo was a Blaziken who was far less interested in making a spectacle of himself.
“And this is Clucky. My Blaziken. Say hello, Clucky.” He introduced, using his eyes to signal not to be rude. “Blaziken.” Clucky raised a claw for a minimalist wave.
“Ninjask!” Purple was immediately ambushed by a giant Bug/Flying type that he didn’t so much as flinch away from.
“Hey girl, glad to see they’ve spared you~.” He cooed as she took her place on his head. “And this little lady’s Nintenda.” He proudly introduced, raising his hand to pet her. “Ninjask.” Nintenda happily waved hello to Sakura.

Speaking of little ladies, there she was. Smiling and giggling as rosy as ever. Side-hugging the mystery girl. How he wished he could be in her boots right now—and not in his own shoes because they were looking right at him.
“H-Hi Black.” He hiccupped, recovering from the way his heart skipped like a broken game disk when she said his name.
“Huh? Oh yeah t-totally! I’m so into the Julymas spirit, I’m practically an Ice/Ghost type!” And not just because I’ve got cold feet and feel like I could die.
“Glad to see you too, White. We’re ready as we’ll ever be.” Purple politely tipped his hat to her.
“Lu-Di-Colo~!” Never content to just wave hello, Kappineapple skipped past his trainer and greeted White, Black and the mystery girl by scooping them all up and affectionately spinning them around in a hug, before gently settling them back down. He’s been trained better since last time. He put them down just in time for two more girls to emerge from the lodge.

“Pleased to meet-wait did you just say you’re Doctor Ciel? The Doctor Ciel?” Nintenda’s eyes widened. “Ninjask?” She began to flap her wings and buzz with excitement.
“Please excuse her, Doctor Ciel. This is Nintenda and she’s just like the biggest fan of your work.” Purple apologized, petting his Ninjask to calm her down.
“Go on, you can say hello.” He cooed, prompting her to jump off his head and buzz around Ciel, asking a dozen questions in rapid succession in pokéspeak. “Nininjajajaskaskask!-!-!” This was going to be so cool! And a doctor would really come in handy on an expedition like this. A hike to the north pole with Black, White, Sakura, this mystery girl who Purple Swears he’s seen somewhere before, And Dr. Ciel? It was too good to be true!
And then Kappineapple got out of the way and Purple realized who was standing next to her. …Yep, definitely too good to be true while it lasted.

“Lu? Dicolo!” Kappineapple smiled down at Valorie with recognition. A smile not shared by Purple or Clucky, who soberly inhaled and exhaled simultaneously with each other. Clucky’s exhale producing steam. This was gonna be bumpy.
“Valorie…Good to see you again. You’re uh…looking pretty… pretty today.” Purple greeted timidly, trying to start this off on the right foot. “D-doesn’t she, Clucky?” He elbowed his Blaziken. “…Blaze.” Clucky yielded a crow. Let’s just try to get this over with without getting ourselves sat on again.

Wait-Portal? How did Purple miss that until now? He thought they were going to take a train to Icicle Peaks or something before they started walking. One by one Team Purple waved goodbye to Shin!Arle as they stepped through the portal. And one by one they felt the climate change immediately.

“Sweet Helix.” Purple panted as the cold slammed him in the face like… Shut up that’s not funny. He quickly closed his open hoodie, bracing against the mild but abrupt change in temperature. Nintenda reacted to the cold by shouldering up to her trainer for warmth. Clucky, not very bothered thanks to his abundance of feathers and naturally hot bloodedness, was captivated instead by the majesty of the mountain before him.
“Blaziken…” He gasped, producing a puff of steam.
“Ludicolo~!” Kappineapple cheered, briskly frolicking out of the portal and toward the mountain, all too ready to make snow Clefables at it’s peak. Thanks to his thick fur, the cold didn’t dampen his enthusiasm either.

“Kappin wait up!” Purple called after his Ludicolo who was getting a ways ahead of the group. “We gotta stick together out here!”

Piplup chirped loyally, nuzzling Arle's hand as it ran across his head fathers. He'd do more than protect them; In Piplup's mind, he'd be heading this mission himself, so everyone would be more than safe! After sufficiently allowing the dark mage to pet him to her heart's content, the little penguin Pokemon offered up one more salute with his flipper before waddling back over to his trainer before their journey commenced.

And of course, there was Dawn blushing up a storm in a mess of grins as her friends continued to compliment her. Ah man, why was constant praise over her abilities so embarrassing sometimes. "Heheh, well I'll do my best!" She said, accepting and returning Black's hug with zero complaints. Did she mention how soft Black was? She was. It was like hugging a lovable teddy-bear with an infinite amount of affection to give. "Besides, I'm just as excited as you all. I can't wait to finally get to meet 'The Santa Claus!'" The trainer had to practically hold herself back from jumping in excitement; her giddiness was palpable.

"Piii-plup..." Her pokemon murmured, in a tone suggesting they were saying something akin to "Yeah, maybe we'll get there by December if we leave now." The blue penguin didn't manage to get this by Dawn though, earning another sharp glare in response despite the trainer not fully understanding what he'd said. When you were companions with anything long enough, you learned to pick up on their sarcastic and patronizing tones.

After greeting the swordswoman and two additional trainers to their group, one of which was a little too sing-songy for Dawn's tastes, and a doctor to boot, they were finally ready to depart! Dawn stepped through the open portal, followed soon by Piplup, with zero hesitation. "Onward to save Christmaaaaaaa-"

"OOH! IT'S COLD! COLD COLD COLD COLD!"

"PIIIIIIIPLUUUUP!"

Trainer and pokemon were both shivering profusely as soon as they stepped foot onto the frigid mountain. Jacket aside, she should've worn pants! Well, too late for that now. After some frost-bitten fumbling, Dawn managed to withdraw her map before figuring out which way they'd have to go. Up further into the mountains? "Alright team! Let's get going as fast as possible!" She directed, moreso afraid of the cold than their energy levels depleting. After all, what were the chances this trip would even take that long anyway? They were the cream of the crop when it came to pokemon trainers Plus Purple, Sakura, Ciel, and Valorie of whom Dawn had little knowledge to bolster about; but she was sure they were exceptional in their own rights! There was nothing this mountain could throw at them that they couldn't handle!

"Alright, let's see if we can try to get this done proper, that way the holidays can be celebrated by all." Sakura said as she gave a nod to the Ninjask in greeting. She also did this with everyone else, though she felt slightly intimidated by the others, it was like she was back home at the Imperial theater.

But when she stepped into the portal and appeared at the mountainous Icicle Peaks, she immediately learned that her being intimidated was just a case of nerves in front of a few people. "Might as well swallow my pride and make the trek... To save the holiday season!" she added calmly without worrying about what might be a tough climb.

Black couldn't help but stifle a giggle at Purple's actions. Meanwhile, Valorie beamed slightly at Purple. "Why thank you~!" she light-heartedly replied, modeling ever so slightly for him. Ciel smiled brightly at Ninjask, only... lowkey terrified to have a giant bug in her face. She had to remind herself that this was a pokemon, not a wild animal. They were normally less aggressive and more sociable toward humans than wild creatures. "Nice to meet you, Nintenda! Hold on--Just one moment." Ciel requested, producing a small spray canister. It was neatly labeled, the label reading "Myconid Universal Translator". She held it in her palms so that Nintenda and Purple could see. "I've been researching fungal creatures called myconids for a while now. They have the seemingly unique ability to establish telepathic bonds with anyone around them, bypassing the language barrier entirely. This is my attempt to replicate the spores they release to accomplish this. ...It's experimental, but it shouldn't cause any harm if it doesn't work. If you'd like, I can give you a spray!" Ciel offered. If Purple and Nintendo accepted, she'd give Nintenda and herself a light spray each. The spray bottle released a sort of gas, rather than the perhaps expected liquid. It was only visible as a tannish yellow mist that quickly dissipated after a few moments. There was a good chance Nintenda and Ciel would form a telepathic link shortly thereafter.

Black noticed how cold Dawn was and thought about this for a moment. Huh. Were she and White just big fans of the cold, walking around with bare legs exposed? She decided to reach out to her trainer. "Hey Dawn~! If you want I can give you a piggyback ride. It might be a little warmer, and I always wanted to try being a ride pokemon." Black offered rather light-heartedly.

((Over several hours, the group makes significant progress! However, after hard work like that they are now Very Hungry--for lunch. Everyone, change your hunger levels to Very Hungry! ...If Dawn accepts Black's offer, however, her hunger will only decrease to hungry.))

After a good few hours hiking up the mountain, taking them into mid-day, the group encounters their first obstacle that can't simply be hiked through! A steep vertical wall. There was no way around it, by the looks of it. This was just the mountain getting steeper. However, it plateued a good dozen meters up. "Looks like we've got to do a bit of climbing. There's plenty of footholds to grab and climb with, so at least we aren't forced to find another way around." White mused aloud. "It'll probably get colder once the sun goes down... And when we get higher. We have a camp, right??" Valorie remarked. "--Yeah. Of course we do. Some of us will need to share tents though. 7 tents is a bit too much to be carrying around and a bit too much to be heating too." White explained though she decided not to pay the comment much mind. Surely everyone here knew that sleeping conditions would be rough enough to require some compromises right? She didn't need to make a big deal out of it? They were all girls here anyw--Oh right. Purple may have some reasons to question this, but that was a problem for bed time, if at all considering the circumstances.

If you roll 6 or less on either roll it will result in falling and taking 20% damage. You will need to ask another character for help getting up. Or you can simply try again until you succeed. If you'd like, you can just ask for help to begin with.))

Once up at the top, the group had a ways more to walk--or ride if Dawn were so inclined. The trail was steep, but not so much that they had to climb anymore. This was more of a normal mountain hike--in the snow.

Purple understood a decent half of what Ciel was talking about, but judging by Nintenda’s rising enthusiasm, he understood it was a good thing. She looked back at him briefly as if to ask permission, which he didn’t hesitate to give. She hovered in close and closed her eyes as Ciel sprayed her.
((…My physical conditions feel unchanged…)) Nintenda thought as she opened her eyes and examined herself. “Ninjask?”(…Doctor. Ciel? Was the Myconid Universal Translation spray successful?) She looked up to Ciel curiously. “Ninjask?” (Can you hear me, Doctor Ciel?) She asked hopefully in Poképeak. ((Rather, are you receiving my telepathic communications?) She tried asking in silence ((I most certainly hope you are. It would be so refreshing to be able to communicate with a true Intellectual for a change!)) She sighed like a lonely dork.
Purple and Clucky simultaneously exhaled in relief. Between the smile on Valorie’s face and Black’s giggling, this might be smooth sailing after all. Still, he harbored a different doubt: Valorie’s hat and scarf made perfect sense, but wouldn’t her skirt be cold at the North Pole? And what about White’s shorts? Between them and Black’s stockings, do girls'legs just not get cold? Despite wearing a nice pink coat, Mystery girl still acted like her exposed legs were cold. Girls were so mysterious…Sakura’s attire seemed much more sensible and Ciel’s garb looked like it could keep the cold out. She’s way too smart to not be wearing something that would. To say this perplexed him was an understatement, but too scared of upsetting them by questioning it, Purple hiked the first leg of the trip in uncharacteristic silence.

Meanwhile, up ahead, Kappineapple slowed down enough for Piplup to catch up.
“Ludi~?” The Ludicolo quacked a smile down at the little Penguin Pokémon as if to say “Howdy little fella, what’s your name~?”
“Ludicolo!” He quacked with a proud tip of his cap. “Folks round here call me The Captain.” “Zik.” Clucky crowed from behind as if to burst a bubble by saying “No we don’t.”
“Dicolo…~” Kappineapple brushed it off with a chuckle. “Don’t mind him, he’s just too cool to be a Fire type~.”
“Co…Ludic?” While they were looking back at the rest of the group, he decided to ask. “So…Which one’s yours?” It was then that he noticed that his trainer, despite the company of six girls, was timidly keeping quiet and to himself at the edge of the caravan. This turned his face from curiosity to disappointment.

Despite the environment reminding him of at least a dozen songs he could sing, Purple’s lips remained frozen shut for fear that the next thing out of them would embarrass him for the rest of the mission. When Black offered Dawn a piggyback ride, his first impulse was to offer her one for when she got tired too. Good thing he swallowed that urge before it got out. As much as he yearned to be useful and wouldn’t have minded offering a ride to any of the other four pretty girls walking beside him, every instinct he had stopped himself from asking. He could only stay hidden in his hoodie, listening to Black and this Dawn girl giggle together all the way to the first obstacle of their journey. He didn’t even introduce himself to her.

“Now Wait a minute…I think we hit a wall~” ♪ Kappineapple sang in English, hoping to bait his trainer into singing the next verse.
♪ “I think we hit a-point where we gotta put the Climbing in Ice Climbing.” Purple almost sang only to cut himself off by saying something equally dorky. Face palm soon followed. Either way, it was a good thing he came prepared.
♪ “…We can’t get above.”♪ Kappineapple finished the chorus in defeat.
“Hey what’s that?” Purple pointed something out to his Ludicolo. “Lu?” He looked trying to see what he was pointing at. Before he knew what was going on, he was withdrawn into a pokéball.
“Blazi.” Clucky chuckled. “He always falls for that.”
“Sorry Kappin, I don’t think you’ve got the legs for this gig.” Purple apologized to his pokéball before putting it away.

“Hey Nintenda?” He looked around for his favorite Flying/Bug type.
“Ninjask?” Nintenda left Ciel’s side to report for duty. “Ready to do the rock climbing bit just like we practiced?” He asked encouragingly. “Ninjask!” She saluted loyally before diving over his head and retrieving a rope from his bag pack.
Giving him one end of the rope, Nintenda flew with the rest of the rope up to the top of the wall to find something sturdy to tie it around. Meanwhile Purple tied the rope around himself and then helped tie it around Clucky too.
“Ninjask!” Nintenda signaled from above that the rope was tied.
“And up we go.” Purple signaled to Clucky as they began their ascent.

At the top of the wall, Purple saw a chance to be helpful and untied himself. Tossing an end of the rope down the wall, he called to anyone still waiting at its foot. “Hey! If you can use a lift, We can help pull you up!” He volunteered himself and his Blaziken.
“Bla?” Clucky grunted as if to ask “We can?”

Dawn was admittedly extremely cold in this weather. Now normally she was pretty resistant to the cold, her region being a pretty chilly one out of the bunch; but being flung straight into a snow-covered mountain was too much of a shock to simply shrug off. Trying her best to wave off Black's concern, Dawn mustered an embarrassed smile. "H-Heh, I'll be fine for now, Black. It's gonna take a lot more than cold to keep me down!" She assured, striking a strong and confident pose before leading the way up the mountain side.

Piplup on the other hand was doing his best to keep up with his trainer amidst the thick snowy ground. His feet really weren't accustomed to this kind of travel, but he'd be damned if he didn't do his best! As the Ludicolo addressed the smaller water-type, his quacks elicited a somewhat distracted chirp sounding something along the lines of saying his name was Piplup and his human was the really reckless, proud, and strong one at the front. They had a good relationship, indeed. "Piiiip." He was more focused on just keeping up their pace than communicating; but the penguin pokemon did appreciate being in the company of his peers for once. Dawn's other pokemon were cool, but Staraptor was a little too serious for his tastes and Cinnawonn was... well... Cinnawonn.

Speaking of Cinnawonn, as the group came to the base of the steep mountain wall, a clever idea sparked to life in Dawn's hunger-addled mind. "No way I'm climbing all that." She surmised, pulling a pokeball out from her pocket before enlarging it to normal size. With a gentle toss, the ball smacked into the side of the frozen wall before bursting open in a flash of red light. "Paaa!" Out from the glow popped a tiny grinning dragon pokemon, roughly the size of the ball itself. Cinnawonn flew around in the air, inspecting their surroundings with mild interest. Oh, neat, this was the place he got all his snow from.

"Hey Cinnawonn. Think you could grow tall enough to lift us up there?" The trainer requested, waving her hand to attract the child-like creature's attention before pointing a finger towards the top of the climb. With a agreeable chirp, the spacial deity began to do just that--surrounding itself in a powerful purple aura before growing out of it's chibi-state. In moments it surpassed Dawn's height growing larger and larger as the tiny creature took on a form most would be familiar with if they knew of the pokemon. The Pokegod of Space: Palkia!

As soon as his head peaked up over the ledge, the Palkia turned back around before lowering his head onto the ground next to the group with a powerful "THUD"! "Thanks!" Dawn was quick to toss Piplup onto the beast's neck before hopping on herself; grabbing onto the bladed fin running down it's length for support. Once she'd found a secure spot, the duo turned back to face the rest of their companions, Dawn holding out her hand for anyone to take to get on. "All aboard!"

As soon as anyone who wished climbed onto the dragon-type, Cinnawonn would begin raising it's head back up to it's full height; standing back up to clear the wall before coming to a rest at the top.

Sakura took her time in the hike up the mountain, enjoying the view, and keeping up with the others, her eyes and mind focused on the prize, her poor sense of direction had not kicked in yet, and she was not deterred when she came up to a steep wall and saw people climbing it in their own way... Sakura simply took this in stride and proceeded to make Kanna Kirishima proud by climbing the wall like she was a mountain climber without worrying about major complications!

...As Black and White climb the wall, something terrible happens. A loose part of the wall gives away when White tries to put her weight on it, sending her toppling from the cliffside. Black attempts to grab her, but isn't strong enough to avoid getting yanked off the wall in the process. A duo of screams could be heard as they fell.

The two girls plummet a good 10 and 9 meters respectively... That's about 30 feet. They both slam into the ground in a rather painful looking manner, White landing on her face and Black on her back. Ciel and Valorie, who had only just started climbing, both stop and rush to check on them. "Don't worry, we're coming!!" Ciel called out. White manages to get back to her feet, but appeared to be having difficulty standing and sorta collapsed into Ciel's embrace as the doctor reached them. While Ciel was holding White upright and fussing over her, Valorie just kinda... bent over to get a better look at Black, who wasn't even able to get back up. She'd hit her head really hard on the way down and was mostly just kinda ... down for the count? Those watching could observe some pretty pink magical hearts enveloping Black as Valorie did some emergency healing to lessen the severity of Black's injuries. Likewise, Ciel was tending to White's.

Once they were done, White was able to stand on her own but chose to continue leaning on Ciel for support while she waited for Black. Black sat up, but seemed a bit out of it still. They can be clearly heard by anyone waiting by the cliffside. "...Are you alright? Can you stand up and walk?" Valorie asked. "Huh? I feel... dizzy." Black replied, still kind of recovering. Valorie placed her hands on her hips. "...C'mon! We've gotta get moving! The others are waiting for us. If you don't get up, I'm gonna eat you and carry you the rest of the way myself." Valorie urged, playfully teasing Black with a loudly declared threat. Black paused a moment. ...Geez, she must've hit her head pretty hard. She could almost swear Valorie had threatened to eat her in the middle of all that. "...You'd really do that for me~? Val, that's so sweet! I knew you had a heroine in you~!" Black fangirled, causing Valorie's expression to twist in bemused concern. "...Not yet I don't." Valorie replied in a somewhat sassy tone. "...Geez, you really hit your head really hard, huh? C'mon. Doctor Ciel and I will help you climb." Valorie encouraged. It was probably pretty weird watching a couple of petite girly girls like Ciel and Valorie climbing up with two bigger girls on their backs, but hey. They were determined if nothing else!

...The entire party makes it up the cliff side one way or another. However, some of you struggle harder than others. After you reach the top, you see a less steep path further up the mountainside and are able to proceed further! As the night approaches, the air grows colder and your vision starts to become more limited. In a couple of hours, it will be pitch blackout.

Purple and Sakura's hunger decreases to starving. Clucky is unaffected.

Cinnawon's hunger decreases to hungry! Dawn and Piplup are unaffected.

Black and White basically critfailed, so their max HP is reduced by 40, permanently weakening them for the rest of the mission. They are also starving.

Ciel and Valorie both pushed themselves a bit too far carrying Black and White, so they not only are now starving, but take 10 fatigue damage. ))

Still at the edge of the top of the cliff, Purple stood with his rope reeled down, waiting for someone to use it. It kind of felt like he was fishing. Fishing for girls. ...And none of them were taking the bait. Sigh, of course not. Now and then he’d even tug the rope to see if any weight was on it. There never was.

Growing bored, he peeked over the edge just in time to find Sakura summiting on her own. “It’s definitely gonna get harder for us if we don’t help each other out.” Purple shrugged passive aggressively. “It was dangerous to climb alone like that. You could-” Purple began to scold before Clucky interrupted him. He sensed the presence of a powerful Pokémon nearby. “What is it, boy?”

Peeking over the edge, Clucky eyes widened as he came beak to face with the Legendary Spatial Pokémon, Palkia!
“Sweet Helix!” They both gasped in unison as the boy fell onto his butt and scooted back through the freezing snow. They stood (and sat) in the presence of the member of the Creation Trio of Sinnoh representing Space itself! And it was accumulating space! Growing bigger and taller and more massive until it rivaled the very cliffside they were standing on! This was a way bigger deal than meeting some generous neckbeard dressed in red! What was it even doing out here? …and who was that riding on its neck?

It was that mystery girl! “D-Dawn?” It was Dawn, right? How did they hike in the snow for all those hours and never introduce themselves? “How did-When did-Y-You catch-You-Have Palkia…Space!” Purple panted too blown away to form a coherent question. No wonder Black and White thought she was so cool! She had a Legendary too! Wait didn’t the Sinnoh Champion capture Palkia-Oh My Gossifleur! Dawn’s the Sinnoh Champion! That’s where he recognized her from! Suddenly everything about this made sense! …and if Purple was too shy to introduce himself yet, well yeah now that’s just not a thing that’s gonna happen.
Clucky, on the other hand, just tilted his head at the Piplup riding its neck as if to ask "How come You get to have the cool team mate?" He’d swap out that big mouth Ludicolo for Palkia faster than you can say Wonder Trade.

Now if Sakura climbed the cliff by herself and Dawn rode Palkia up, where was the rest of the party? Nintenda fluttered over the edge to investigate and Purple soon followed. It was then that they witnessed a scene out of an adult nightmare: White and Black falling 10 meters off the mountain.
“!!” A scream of their names loud enough to cause an avalanche had to be muffled by Clucky’s claws over his trainer’s mouth, whom he also had to hold to stop from impulsively jumping down to help. His Ninjask retrieved his hat that had fallen off and sternly fastened it on his head as if to say ‘Stay. Put.’ She then flew down the mountain side to investigate by herself.

At the bottom, Nintenda found Ciel and Valorie tending to the fallen pair.
(Doctor Ciel! I beg a diagnosis report on Trainers Touko Emiko and Rosa Kumiko!) She telepathically asked Ciel. (Trainer Dawn, Sakura Shinguji and especially Master are all deeply concerned for their wellbeing.)
At the top, Purple and Clucky could only watch in suspense, the Blaziken’s hands still covering the boy’s mouth to hold back a distressed "Are You Okay Down There?" from really getting them into trouble. They both shared a disoriented look when Valorie joked about eating Black. That… Was just a joke, right? Why didn’t it sound like one?...

Once the two were tended to, Nintenda volunteered to deliver their bags as the two girls carried the other two to the top.
(I cannot wait to share this ground-breaking discovery with Master: Luggage Can weigh less than an Alolan Golem!) She sarcastically buzzed on her way up.

“There you are! Are you two okay? I-We were so worried about you!” Finally reunited at the top, Clucky still had to hold Purple by the hoodie to keep him from knocking Black down with a glomp. Seeing White unable to keep from leaning on Ciel sewed doubt that they were in any condition for another several hours of hiking. The dropping temperature and visibility confirmed it. Not to mention it sounded like he was hiding a Growlithe under his shirt.
“Guys-er, Girls… I say it’s time we call it and set up camp.” He spoke up with a clearing of his throat. “The day’s almost over and unless someone brought a team of sled Arcanines, I don’t think we’re in any shape to keep going after dark.” He realized that wasn’t so unlikely when he slipped his backpack off.
“Me and Clucky can get the campfire started. And we brought marshmallows~”

"I would have to agree, give use some time to eat and rest for the rest of the journey up this mountain." Sakura said as she winced at what Happened to Touko and Rosa.

Sakura's stomach rumbled in agreement with her for some reason, oddly enough she felt hungry enough to eat an entire plate of curry by herself, though it would have to wait as she pitched up her tent with care, hoping that by the time morning came they would not have to worry about sheer wall climbing.
