Previously, on the most humiliating day of Link's life...

"Hahahahaha! Oh, OH- I think I'm going to die of laughter!"
"S-S-So Peachy? Wh-*Snerk*When are you expecting?! Hahahahaha!"

"Later~"
"I will simply be ...babysitting Link this evening. He will be safe and taken care of."
"Would you like to join me for that ice cream, Miss?"

"sure; let's hit the town... Still don't know what 'Ice Cream' is though."

Peach strode through town with a light-hearted, feminine gait. The click of her ruby red high heels against the pavement was even and rhythmic. The grace with which she moved was the envy of many a man--and many a woman. But today her trim, hourglass figure was looking a bit ... plump? The positively mortifying imagery in the victory selfie Peach was currently showing off to Tatl where you could see Link's hands pressing out against the inside of Peach's dress from within her belly was long gone, leaving a calm round tummy in its wake. Her corset did wonders to give it support and keep it from moving around too much as she walked, as well as helping to keep its occupant curled into a nice little ball for comfortable carrying. From the inside, the rhythmic beating of her heart had slowed to a more relaxed pace. Love magic was slowly yet surely healing LInk of the wounds she'd afflicted on him during their battle, as well as protecting him from digestion.

"I think it's a nice little photo, all things considered." Peach light-heartedly remarked. "Do you think it would be okay to upload this if I were to omit his name..?" Peach went on to hesitantly ask. She sounded rather unsure of herself. The princess knew how demeaning it could be for the boys to get beaten by a girl at all--let alone a pretty princess--let alone putting the 'eaten' in beaten. She had reason to suspect Link's self-esteem was probably already damaged a bit. Naming and shaming him publicly was probably overkill--even if it would likely boost the self-esteem of her followers in the process. ...What was Peach's blog even about?

They weren't that long from the ice cream shop Peach was taking Tatl to. It was a local startup. She was tempted to try their iconic Shaymint flavor, but strawberry was so good! ...Choices.

"Pffft-Nah! Just throw his name on. He'll laugh about it later!"

Tatl mischievously smirked underneath the pulsating yellow light that normally obscured her visage. Once a trickster, always a trickster. Not that the conniving fairy understood anything about the device Peach was using. From what she had gathered, it was some sort of pictograph that you could use to show other people your pictures without them having to be there. "Pretty neat "doo-dad" you got there." Tatl commented, lazily floating along next to the princess. "I can just imagine Tael messing around with that forever."

Figuring she'd keep conversation light, the fairy whizzed around the royal's head for a few more seconds before coming to a rest in Peach's crowned hair. "It sure is nice to have someone actually listen to what I'm saying for once." Unable to help, Tatl let out a short groan, as if fatigued just recalling the effort of trying to "help" her companion. "Half the time Link wont even answer when I scream in his ear, and the other it's like he's skipping over everything I say. And don't even get me started on how bad Tael can get." She puffed out her cheeks in indignation (not that anyone could see it) before reclining back on her new friend's cushioned locks.

"But I guess you wouldn't really know about that, huh Peachy? Being royalty must be pre-e-tty swell!" She couldn't even imagine how awesome being a princess was without getting a tinge jealous. Being waited on hand and foot, everybody listening to your word like law, all the food you could probably eat too! Hell, she'd get jealous whenever Link even mentioned that one girl he's always pining after. What was her name? Celma?

"Mmm... alright!" Peach reluctantly relented, tagging Link in the photo. She was pretty sure this was the sort of thing that could ruin someone's ability to feel like a man for years, but Tatl probably knew Link better than she did. Maybe he wouldn't be as humiliated by the terms of his defeat as every other boy on the planet? A bunch of comments making fun of him quickly changed Peach's mind, however, and she quickly did some damage control on his behalf by remarking that he was being a good sport about it all and that she was very proud of him.

She then returned her attention to Tatl, putting the device away. Peach's hair was nice and clean, with the subtle scent of strawberry shampoo--or perfume, it wasn't really clear they both matched--could easily be picked up from such close proximity. Not only did Peach listen though, but she waited patiently for Tatl to finish speaking before responding and didn't stab any monsters while she waited! "I do love being a princess~It does mean a great deal to me to care for my kingdom and my subjects, and it does make me quite happy~" Peach replied rather thoughtfully. "But sometimes, I cannot help but think I know how you feel." Peach went on to relent. "While I cannot deny that my crown lends me many a year, I have often found that many a Suitor would rather be wearing it themselves." Peach continued on to explain, jabbing a finger at a perhaps unseen power dynamic. "They never do ask what I want--nor do they accept no for an answer. Their single-minded desire has lead to many a kidnapping attempt and quite a few attempts to force me to marry them." Peach wistfully finished, remembering one of many times she'd been at the mercy of some tough guy with little regard for her feelings, let alone her voice. Those were not fun experiences for her.

"...Sometimes I cannot help but feel that they cannot hear a voice above a certain pitch." Peach sassily quipped after a moment's silence, flashing a playful smile at no one in particular--mostly because she couldn't look at Tatl without throwing her off her head. She was not-so-subtly suggesting that they were being ignored because they were girls--which in Peach's case was probably a fair assessment of at least a few of her kidnappers. Very rarely did her assaulters ever pay her any mind, instead dedicating their full attention span on Mario--bless his soul.

"But I'll tell you this, Miss Tatl. You won't have to worry about being ignored in my company. At least, not by me. I firmly believe that us girls need to stick together~" Peach added after she finished in an encouraging tone, offering her ear and professing, with passion, her solidarity with her fellow ladies. Although she hadn't said much, the way she'd said it seemed to hint that this ideal was very important to her. Perhaps Tatl could poke her brain for more information while they walked, as there was still a short distance left before they reached their destination.

Peach what have you done.
Tatl snickered, her chimes ringing from the inside of Peach's crown as the fairy witnessed Link's name appearing on the princess' device. To any passerby it might've sounded like bells were literally going off inside of the princess' head... but who cares! Even as the debilitating comments trickled in that would certainly emasculate whatever reputation Link had left, had Peach not attempted to salvage it soon after, Tatl didn't seem in the least bit bothered. Hey, she'd been taking a break from pranks for a while now; cut her some slack!

Although the fairy was pretty tempted to pipe up and immediately comment as Peach took the conversation into her own hands, she managed to at least show some restraint. After all, the princess had the decency to actually let her finish talking (and actual listen all the while), so that was the kind of courtesy she should extend too, right? ...plus she kinda liked the cut of this lady's jibe. She seemed cool. "Jeez... I never really considered how rough being a princess might be after all the perks." Tatl recanted, feeling a bit guilty after her earlier remarks. "Suitors-schmooters! You're pretty classy, Peachy; and you seem nice... even to guys that you completely humiliate~" She actively tried to stifle a laugh this time... though the situation with Link probably wouldn't stop making her grin somewhat for at least another year! "So you're a queen in my books."

"I agree though. Too many guys ignore us, when girls like us can probably bring a whole lot more to the table if they let us!" Tatl rolled over in Peach's hair, sitting back up with a confident smile on her face. "I mean, you kicked Link's butt. And he took down a guy that dropped the moon on us! And I know more about monsters than anyone North, South, East, or West of Clock Town!" Crossing her arms over her chest, the lithe magical being flapped her wings to briefly float out from Peach's crown before softly perching on her shoulder. Hopefully not making the princess too uncomfortable with her strong glow, she turned her head to smile contently up at her new friend.

"You know, I really appreciate you talking to me like this and not... well, ignoring me or just talking at me! And hey, if you ever need some monsters killed or just someone to hang out with; I'm always free and Link always lugs around that sword!" Tatl couldn't help but giggle out that last part, but her overall statement was truly sincere. Who knew you could make friends in such odd places? ...speaking of off things though, the subject of Link's sword did bring a thought to the fairy's mind she couldn't help but ask. "Speaking of swords, you fight pretty good without one. Where's a princess learn magic like that?" Hell, if a princess like Peach could get that strong... well, why not another underestimated female?

...possibly one of a slightly smaller size.

What pretty hair! Clean and soft to roll around in. Plus, Peach didn't seem to mind at all! Peach glanced down at her slightly distended belly, where Link was being slowly healed back to health in the safety of her warm abdominal embrace. Well--physically safe anyway. It was still rather caustic to his dignity. Even her insides were inexplicably girly, not that Tatl had any means to notice that. Had she completely humiliated him? Oh, the fragile boy's ego and the troubles of being a very girly heroine. Sometimes, the latter could not help but bruise the former. Especially when you came from a world where everyone around you was an anthropomorphic salad topping.

Now, Peach had no problem with men not paying attention to her. She was a strikingly beautiful woman who knew exactly how to leverage her charm to keep just about any man's attention. She also probably wouldn't have spoken so broadly herself. Since although she had at least half a dozen awful kidnappers that had zero respect for a woman's right to say no of which Bowser was merely the most prollific, she also had... Mario, who for any faults he had was.... Well he wasn't the best listener, but he at least tried. Sometimes he fell asleep, though. But Tatl... Tatl's words told her a different story. They both had serious issues with the boys in their life, but Tatl had no Mario. She had a Link, someone who ignored her and didn't respect her feelings.

It would have been easy for Peach to go on some sappy number about not all boys being like that and just finding the right one, but that would have sounded tone deaf to a fairy who had been neglected for so long. A speech for the boys in the audience, rather than the fairy herself. She needed compassion and understanding, not preachy one liners. It almost broke her heart to realize that Tatl had been treated this way. You couldn't just neglect and isolate a person like that! She was a tiny fairy; it was like bullying a baby! ...She supposed she ought to be more mad at Link for letting this happen, but he was just a little boy himself. All this revealed was that he wasn't ready to take care of another person, which was ... fair given the previous statement. But the damage was done, regardless of who's fault it was.

On Peach's shoulder, her beautiful sapphire earings glittered with an impressive radiance in Tat's light. Peach herself didn't seem to mind, simply allowing her eyes to close halfway to help reduce the strain, emphasizing her eye shadow in the process! Finally, after patiently and respectfully listening as she always did, she smiled invitingly at the other and formulated her response. "Well, I think you're a beautiful and intelligent girl who has gone far too long without the love and appreciation she deserves." Peach replied in a matter-o-fact tone. "And while I do wish I could teach every boy who has ever wronged you to be a better friend, or failing that a good lesson in humility, I feel that it would be much easier to show you some gratitude on their behalf and let them find out what they are missing for themselves." Peach went on to state, gently tapping her belly with a wink at the lesson in humility part. She then turned her head fully and leaned in to plant the sweetest little kiss on Tatle's cheek. Though if Tatl was turned to face her, she'd get a kiss right on her face--and lips by extension. It was kinda hard if not impossible to not kiss most of Tatl's head because of the extreme size different. Peach was very, very gentle though--well aware that if she were too enthusiastic she might just inhale Tatl on accident.

A little magical heart blossomed at the touch of her lips, fluttering into the air between them before popping. An electric tingling would race through Tatl's body, a comforting warmth flushing over her as Peach's love agic treated her to breathtaking kiss like no other. "...Thank you for helping save Termina. And thank you for being such good company~" Peach softly offered, her delicately painted lips turning up in an invitingly affectionate smile. She seemed to hold no reservations about having just kissed another girl, innocent as the kiss was.

"As for my abilities, I'm self-taught! But if you promise to keep showing the world what a beautiful person you can be, inside and out, I would be glad to teach you how to do everything I can do--at no charge, of course. I may also wish to invite you to the Magical GIrl's Society. I would like to believe that you will find more respect among your sisters, should you choose to join us~" Peach went on to offer rather eagerly.

Hey! Cut Link a little slack, at least? It's not like he didn't have enough on his plate to worry about without needing to validate his partner's emotions and relevance all the time! ...also he was in a stomach, and a child. Not like he's had much opportunity to learn otherwise.

Tatl didn't blame him at least. Sure she got annoyed with him, and teased him a bunch, but she knew that Link cared about her. He was just fickle sometimes... Of course, any thoughts of Link were completely pushed out of the fairy girl's mind as her vision was suddenly encompassed by mounds of pillowy pink. Her entire face was smothered against the princess' gentle kiss for mayhaps a fraction of a second, although it felt like an eternity. Once Peach had withdrawn her mouth, she'd earn a sufficiently flustered fairy; Tatl's face completely flushed with red. "T-T-T-T-I-I-Bu-I-T" She fumbled over her words, a stuttering mess.

That had been her first kiss.

"EEP!" Normally in such a situation, she would've instantly darted back into Link's hat to hide her embarrassment; maybe tug on his hair for good measure to vent her feelings. Now that it wasn't an option anymore though, the fairy girl darted into the nearest mess of hair she could find--which also happened to be Peach's. She stayed there for a good few minutes, steaming in her own flustered embarrassment before finally peeking out with a shy jingle.

"T-Thanks. I-I'll uh.... think about it...." Didn't seem like Peach would get much more conversation out of her after that. Well at least they had ice cream to look foreward to later, at least!

Peach giggled at Tatl's antics but declined to comment. It had occurred to her that such a reaction likely belied an alien enjoyment of her affection, something that could be a very sensitive topic for many people! And while she was pretty good at seeing through Tatl's behavior, she did not want to discourage her by teasing her or making a big deal out of it. "You are most welcome, Tatl~" Peach replied, getting up to retrieve their ice cream, offering to share with Tatl due to the fact that well... Even half a scoop was probably too much for the small fairy. Or was it? Either way, the two ladies would be happily enjoying their ice cream before long. Perhaps Link could even enjoy it to some extent! ...Assuming it was still refreshingly cool by the time it reached him. It was quite warm in there, after all!
