[Mari]

A seemingly young girl sat with her legs folded underneath herself amongst a scene of destruction. The earth was scorched around her, scarred by a ferocious high energy battle. Black blood stains could be seen occasionally, but no bodies were to be found. The girl herself appeared pale and somewhat withered. She'd been without food or drink to quench her vampiric thirst for... how long now? A month? Two months? ...She wasn't sure, honestly. All she knew was that it had been far too long, and that she was beginning to miss her sister in ways she'd never anticipated. Flandre wasn't sure what would happen to her if she continued to starve, but she wasn't looking forward to finding out. It was already quite painful as it was, and she could see the effects it was having on her body.

...What was she supposed to do? Perhaps someone would come to retrieve her and bring her back to the mansion. The novelty of freedom had long since worn off anyway.

"Holy crap, what happened here?" Shiya questioned in awe at the sheer amount of damage and destruction spread everywhere he looked.

   
    Slowly picking himself across the scarred earth that was scorched and bloody, his nerves were slowly getting the best of him. Of course he had declined to read even a bit of the details of the rescue mission in his haste to retrieve this girl. Heroes didn't read, they acted! If he had even looked a piece of it though, he might have reconsidered...

    Finally after walking through the bloody and destructive mess, Shiya finally caught sight of what he supposed was the girl he was looking for. She looked so sad and lonely and desolate that he almost completely didn't see how the trails of apocalypse seemed to lead directly to her. Finally making his way over to her and crouching down, Shiya lowered his voice in hopes of not scaring her while also keeping alert in case any of the infected tried to attack them.

"Hey, are you alright? My name's Shiya. Me and my partner are going to get you to safety, okay?" He said while waiting to hear an answer.

    Speaking of the partner that was supposed to be helping him, where exactly was he/she? Not that he might need them, so far this seemed to be going incredibly smooth and easy!

Unlike Shiya, Orin actually bothered to read the mission description. She had a good feeling she knew who this girl was, though they never met. Just one of the myths of her world that might of come here too. She was currently in her cat form and watching the destruction from a distance. Seemed she had quite a party and was beginning to weaken. Probably would be easier than normal to defeat her in this state.... still, Orin was not about to pass up this opportunity.

She watched as some man in red approached her... And clearly did not read the memo of the situation. Orin jumped down into the destruction and followed him. He did not know his partner was near him this whole time and that sounded fun to Orin. Will get a bigger reaction when she reveals herself. ("Safety? If only you knew~") Orin stated cheerfully while sitting a good distance back from Shiya... Though it was entirely in cat tongue so there was a high chance neither of them understood a word.

Flinch.... Flinch... Cringe. A familiar sound greeted Flandre's ears. It was the sound of a heart beating inside someone's chest. Her eyes widened, but she sat still for the moment. The sound was ... approaching. Shew knew the chances of catching her prey were slim. She'd tried too many times and failed to have any delusion of that. Yet, she also knew she could not resist the urge. The agony of her body slowly withering away without sustenance was too much for her to deny her desires. Self-Control had never been fun anyway. She had to feed.

...But what was that? A second heartbeat approaching from further off? Flandre gently shook her head, dismissing this. Her wings emitted a subtle jingle as she shifted. Suddenly Flandre began to giggle, rising into the air and turning to face Shiya. Four seemingly flawless clones of herself spreading out and surrounding him in but a moment.

" . . . Protection from what? Everything out here breaks before I can have any fun~" Flandre remarked im amusement.

Meanwhile, a third pair of footsteps arrived. Arle stopped not far off from the scene, just kind of halting in her tracks at the sight of Flandre multiplying.

"Uh oh... It looks like I'm a little late."

    Shiya was happy that for once things were going right. So far, no infected were showing up near them for as far as he could detect and the way this was seeming he might not even need his partner (wherever they are). "Protection from the infected silly~" He froze up instantly as Shiya's mind whirred backwards to replay what the girl just said... [Did she just say what I think she just said?] He asked himself in his mind as his brain still tried to process what was was happening as the girl suddenly floated up and... became 4 girls???

"...Why am I getting the impression your going to attack me or something now...?" He nervously chuckled while thinking of what was going on.

    "Okay, so if your feeling okay enough to float, then w-we should probably get going. I'll lead you back to the Life Sphere..." Shiya trailed off with an unnerved expression as he tried walking past one of the clones. "I'm just gonna squeeze by here... um, could you move to the side so that I feel less intimidated and can pass by?" He asked Flandre in the slight hope that this was possibly just a prank by the kid? Being surrounded like this was not doing good for his nerves and was honestly giving him a really bad feeling as for what was going to happen next.

"Um, I'll just get this weapon out in case any monsters come by..." He slowly said before projecting his Upperdash Arm weapon over his own appendage.

    Maybe he's just overreacting though? [I mean, what little girl would attack a guy sent to save her?!] He reasoned with himself while still anxiously waiting for one of the Flandres to move so that he could escape their circle.

Orin sat down and continued to watch the show as Shiya continued to be a fool. When the four clones appeared she figured it was time to do something. The cat gave off a light and morphed as the cat soon turned into a... cat? The more humanoid but still a Kasha Orin stood up with her cart in her hands. The smell of something dying probably filling the air a little at her reveal.

"Flandre, right?" the cat girl called to try and distract her as she took out a chunk of meat... The meat did not seem to smell that good for someone that did not like decay. "If you stop attacking him I can give you some meat. You look very hungry. Would be a waste if you destroyed another one, right?~" Orin stated as she waved the meat to try and get her attention.

[Mari]

One of the clones noses wrinkled subtly, but none turned to face Orin. Arle too wrinkled her nose, folding her arms as she slowly closed in on the group.

"That doesn't smell very appetizing, Miss." Arle remarked rather flatly.

Who the hell tried to feed that to someone? That was just asking for food poisoning of epic proportions. Flandre seemed to agree, judging by the way she refused to relent. Orin had made a bit of a mistake. ...Vampires liked fresh blood and fresh meat. There was a reason they didn't just pick some up at the grocery store, let alone ... that.

"Smells like old meat~ You don't expect me to eat that when I've got fresh meat right here, do you~?" Flandre replied rather cheerily, flashing her elongated fangs at Shiya. Little did he realize that the monster was right there around him. "Let's play a game... Try not to die for me, okay??" Flandre went on to ask Shiya, grinning devilishly at him. Without further warning, the four clones backed off a bit and began discharging little blasts of magic at Shiya, pelting him in an attempt to command his attention!

However, this was merely the clones weak distraction. Flandre promptly followed up with an attack of her own. A much larger and more explosive blast of energy would be launched at Shiya from an unexpected angle. If he wasn't able to determine which clone was real in time, it would likely catch him off guard!

Meanwhile, a very startled Arle recoiled slightly at the fight breaking out. Oh boy. Seems she stumbled into an unexpected fight. But what did she do? Wasn't she supposed to be rescuing this girl? Seeing as how she personally wasn't being attacked, Arle resigned herself to playing defensively and casting Diacute. It seemed Shiya was on his own for now, unless Orin decided to jump in.

    As Shiya's attempts at diffusing the situation failed completely, he had no choice but to evade the laser beams that suddenly started coming out of the sadistic vampire girl. "Uuuuuh, I don't think I like this game very much! How about a safe board game?" His voice rose in half-joking, have anxious tones as Shiya was caught off gaurd by the sudden start of the attack. Projecting around 30 swords in front of him, amassed together into a flash clump as if by magnets, Shiya was able to block the attack for the most part but at the cost of weakening his shielding abilities quite a bit.

"Can we play mouse trap instead?!"

    Comedically twisting his body every which way while trying to evade the tandem of beams from hitting him like before, Shiya somehow was able to make it out of the attacks completely unscathed... Though now an even bigger fear arose in the next attack as the clones began circling him once more. As they were charging attacks simultaneously in a distracting manner, Shiya concentrated hard on trying to find which one was the real one... Finally, he spotted the inconsistency as all of the different Flandres blinked almost simultaneously except for one of them. Taking a chance and making a desperate guess, Shiya threw his body to the side as the attack fired, apparently guessing right as he once again was unscathed. Sure a little battered and dusty, but otherwise alright!

"Come on! You roll your dice, you move your mice. Nobody gets hurt." He threw out in hopes of deterring the extremely threatening vampire.

    He reeeeaaaally didn't want to punch or stab a little girl; even if said little girl was currently trying to kill him. It was like kicking a puppy just because it bit you! Spying what he assumed to be his partner on his mission just offering a cart of dead meat and another girl he didn't know just staring at him while he dodged for his life like in some sick, rail-shooter game; Shiya got really irked. "Hey! Any of you guys want to actually do something to help?!" He asked very angrily before just turning tail and running in the opposite direction of the Flandres now that he had escaped their circle. If he wouldn't hit her, the next best thing Shiya could do was gain distance between them. As much as possible by the looks of her crazy, sadistic demeanor.

"Well, kind of hard to get fresh meat on this planet. You know, when they usually just turn into trophies and all. Doing my job is harder but hard work never hurts anyone!~" Orin replied to Flandre surprisingly cheerfully. Well, that plan had failed and there seemed to be an unexpected guest too. "The name is Orin. The Newspaper is not wrong about her it seems. Oh well, I guess the foolish guy needs my help," Orin added with a helpless shrug.

"Cursed Sprite {Zombie Fairy}!" Orin called with her finger pointing at Flandre. Suddenly, a ghostly fairy appeared on the battlefield. "Now let's play a little! Dodge this technique, okay? Atonement {Needle Mountain of a Former Hell}!" A horde of ghosts came out of the spell card technique. Hundreds of vengeful spirits surrounded Flandre and attempted to all enclose on her with all their force and keep her busy. The sheer number may make it hard to avoid. The Zombie Fairy added to the Spell Card by shooting at Flandre with her own Danmaku.

"Clearly you're just not trying hard enough. I've never had any trouble with trophies. Eheheheh~--Ah!" Flandre replied, never removing her gaze from Shiya until it was literally torn away by Orin's ghosts. Her laughter was cut short by pain. Flandre desperately shifted forward, reaching out in Shiya's general direction before collapsing. One track mind, it seemed. The little vampire girl trembled slightly in agony, apparently quite off her game judging by the way she just sort of sat there and allowed the attack to wash over her. She almost looked ... weak.

However, the moment came and passed. Flandre stood back up and reluctantly abandoned her chase on Shiya, snapping to face Orin with a newfound intensity in her eyes. "Nice one. Now it's my turn, alright?! Try not to die!" Flandre blurted out with newfound animosity. She seemed somehow more unhinged after taking that attack. Flandre's clones dissipated into thin air and she turned to rush Orin with violent intent...

Flandre stopped in her tracks as if frozen as a psychic power gripped her mind, her eyes widening in incredulity, followed by confusion. Her weakened body flushed with newfound color and she slowly turned her gaze upon Arle, just sort of frozen in place. She'd never felt anything but hunger and maybe amusement towards a human before, and so these feelings Arle were planting in her head were simply blowing her mind--enough that Flandre was completely immobilized by love.

"That's not going to work. You're just getting her even more riled up." Arle lectured somewhat flatly, unimpressed by the incredibly lethal looking fighting going on.1d20+2·1d20+2·1d20+2·1d20-1

    Finally turning back towards the group after running a ways away, Shiya let out a sigh of relief that the crazy little girl wasn't targeting him any longer. "Well it took you guys long enough..." his voice trailed off as his expression changed from one of irritation to one of confusion. Seeing Flandre randomly collapsed brought his attention back to the fact that this was still a rescue mission. Maybe she talked tough, but this kid looked like she could collapse at any second!

    "Hey... Is it just me or does she look like she needs to go to the hospital?" He asked out loud while slowly moving closer to Flandre, this time however moving closer over to Arle and Orin first. "I mean for health reasons, nor insanity."

    Upon noticing Flandre suddenly pausing with her expression weirdly changing to that of an emotion of... love??? Naw, that can't be it. Either way, whatever Arle did to the little girl immobilized her for now.[Now that I think about it... Why are 99% of the people I keep meeting in this place little girls?!] He angrily questioned as if some sick god was playing a practical joke on him due to his... less than fortunate experience with members of the opposite gender. Either way, directing his attention back to his teammates, Shiya decided to address the elephant in the room. "So, what now? Oh by the way, my name is Shiya." He introduced himself while asking the Cat-girl and girl-girl on what they should do next, since it seemed like whatever Arle was doing was restraining Flandre for now or something?

"Oops, looked like I riled her up more. I guess we might as well sit around and let her destroy us. Unless, you have some other idea," Orin commented as she shrugs but stayed upbeat while she said that. "She's a vampire. Enduring is one of the things they do best. Anyway, you seem to have her undivided attention. Care to demonstrate how one handles this situation?~" She challenged Arle. The cat girl did not seem to be taking this seriously in the slightest.

[Mari]

...And then a sick god looked down upon Shiya and beheld his anger, laughing cruelly at his expense. [Has this fool ever laid eyes upon the life sphere?! It's like, 70% male! What a chump.] the mad god chortled, mocking Shiya's predicament from the heavens. ...Not thay anyone could see or hear him, probably. Never give up the conspiracy, Shiya. The mad god is real.

"...I can't just cast that spell instantly, you know." Arle replied in frustration at Shiya's complaining. She gave Orin a funny look. Had she just said Flandre was ... a vampire? Before she could reply to Orin's mockery a body impacted her, knocking her to the ground.

Flandre seemed to have abruptly snapped out of her stupor and tackled Arle while she was distracted, forcing Arle to the ground and pinning her down with her startlingly great strength. "Ah! What are you doing?!" Arle blurted out in alarm, struggling helplessly against the much stronger girl. Flandre raised one of her own arms and bit into it rather hard. A trickle of scarlet began to trail from the wound. "...You're far too pretty to wilt away with time. Join me, in eternity!" Flandre blurted out with intent. Arle began to protest, but noticed Flandre moving her bleeding arm towards her. Decidedly, Arle was smart enough to know what Flandre was implying and not all that interested in the offer. She closed her mouth and pursed her lips tight, turning her head as Flandre attempted to turn her.

[The Conspiracy is Real!]

Well that situation went down south quick... first Arle was sassing him and Flandre was on the ground, then Arle was on the ground and Flandre was on Arle... biting her arm? "What the he-nope. nope. nope. I'll do zombies, angels, possessed costumes even, but I draw the line at loli Vampires!" Ah Shiya's special ability: Noping out of a situation! Quite the effective maneuver to evade danger... twas he not such a softie.

"Damn it. I really am crazy..." Oh well, Vampire blood only turned you into a vampire if you consumed it, right? And being so fixated on Arle, at least Flandre would be off her guard.

Rocketing forward, kicking up dust behind him, Shiya was now upon Flandre as she was forcing herself onto Arle. In a few seconds, his feat left the ground entirely as he transitioned into a flying tackle right at Flandre. Hopefully if she didn't dodge, he would get her into a reasonably strong hold that would prevent any more crazy vampire antics. "That is it missy. You're in time out!"1d20+1

"Get tackled to the ground and threatened to get turned in the name of love? Interesting choice, not one I would choose but it is surprising. Not sure how that helps the situation though," Orin commented as if she was now settling for spectating the fight... "How about corpse gathering cat demons that can raise the dead?~" Orin mocked Shiya as he rushed in to help Arle. Well, looks like he has it covered.


"Yes, let's threaten the powerful vampire with a timeout. I am sure that will tide over well. Was that spell why she is so interested in you? Not sure why you would make someone fall in love with you. Seems like a disaster waiting to happen?" The cat girl continued to commentate.
