Primary Attacks:
While Falco may not be very bulky or muscle bound, his strength comes from his agility and the powerful legs that propel him swiftly along the ground. What he lacks in physical power he more than makes up for in speed.
(1) Sweeping Bird - Falco drops down and sweeps the ground with a foot, knocking his opponent's legs out from under them. Before they can recover he follows through with a flip lick that sends the opponent into the air. How far into the air depends on the opponent's mass. His sweeping kick [5%] can affect multiple opponents if they are immediately around Falco, but the flip kick [11%] portion is single target.
(2) Roundhouse Kick - [9%] Getting any sort of running start, Falco will charge into his opponent and deliver a punishing roundhouse kick with the momentum built up; aiming to put his enemy into the ground.
(3) Air Drill - [13%] When above the opponent, whether by jumping or just having higher ground, Falco will dive bomb them with a spinning drill kick.
Special Abilities:
(1) Blaster - [4%] The reliable tool that he keeps holstered at his side for a swift draw. It's a bit slower than Fox's, but he can still fire multiple in a round and each shot causes the opponent to flinch; disrupting their concentration and movements, causing a -1 penalty to their DEX based dodge roll if it is immediately following the gun shot. This does not stack.
(2) Falco Phantasm - [7%] In a mixture of a burst of speed and the reflector device he carries, Falco will dash forward a short distance so quickly he appears invisible to the naked eye and leaves behind a ghostly after-image where he started. Anything in his path is knocked to the ground as he bashes into them. He can use this ability in mid-air however it is rather taxing and would require a moment to recover on the ground after a single use.
(3) Accele-Reflector - [x2 DMG] Using his reflector device like a hacky-sack, Falco kicks the active device to deflect any oncoming projectiles and return them to sender with double their original power. The device then homes back in on Falco. Projectiles are only reflected back as long as the device is moving forward. This device works on energy based and physical projectiles.
(4) Fire Bird - Falco activates a mechanism akin to his reflector to surround himself in a wide burst of flames and then can use the energy to propel himself in a direction of his choosing. He is able to charge this up in order to go further but must remain stationary whilst doing so. If anyone is in melee distance of him when he activates it is possible for them to be burnt, taking immediate minor damage [5%]. If he hits anyone while moving the knock back increases based on how much he was able to charge and it causes higher damage [Max 19%], but no chance of getting the burnt status. Similar to the Phantasm, Falco needs a few seconds of stationary recovery after using this move.
Final Smash:
Air Support - Falco makes a call to the love of his life: his Arwing. While the air ship isn't in good enough condition for him to fly it himself, the ace pilot is able to activate a beacon for the ship to locate him and bombard his enemies with a fully charged plasma cannon. A large, meteor-like, beam of red plasma energy locked onto a target with minimal tracking ability. It will follow it's locked target but it cannot make sharp turns. Once it hits anything it explodes like a small bomb. With fuel limited the ship is only able to make two passes before needing to return to its docking station. This makes for a maximum of two targeted shots [30% Ea].
In the case of being inside a structure the ship will fly over and teleport a sniper rifle to Falco with enough energy for a single wide burst shot [40% DMG 1st Hit, -10 for every consecutive]; similar to Zelda's arrow. Regardless of whether it's used or not, the ship is programmed to retrieve the rifle on its second pass as it returns to dock. This gives Falco about 30 seconds to use it. The shot can hit multiple targets if they are [effectively] in a line; the beam only stopping when it hits a massive solid structure like the ground, rock wall, or a building, etc.
History On Li:
((Using Star Fox Assault & Brawl [with SSB4 influences]))
Arriving after the Andross fiasco, Falco has spent a majority of his time hanging around the Life Sphere keeping order in the streets and overseeing the recovery of his Arwing. On a rare occasion he would aid those on a nearby mission but most of the time he stuck around the Sphere in a bit of a funk, though when confronted the avian would put on the playful punk for show.
This was until the three alleged leaders of the Life Sphere were kidnapped. Finally motivated to get back into action Falco prepared his small arsenal for combat. Unfortunately his beloved air ship, and really any air ship, was still not up for long glides patrolling the skies but that didn't mean he couldn't help out like the good old days with Tabuu and the Master Hand.
(( Grub-dog Group ))
Starting off close to home, Falco accompanied Rosalina and Chase the Mii Swordfighter on a mission to investigate a disturbance just outside the Life Sphere: a pack of Grub-dogs that had become increasingly agitated of late. When they arrived in the hilly area Rosalina took charge, quite literally, and headed the assault with Chase following close behind. Falco hid in the hills and gave them cover, confusing the poor beasts and keeping them disoriented. When changing positions to the nearby forest in order to get closer the avian caught sounds from deeper in the trees and discovered a wandering girl. Confident his two allies could handle the rest of the Grub-dogs Falco left the battle to pursue the woman, finding himself tricked and a knife to his neck.
Falco was correct to assume Rosalina and Chase could deal with the Grub-Dogs as they arrived just in time to see the unfortunately situation. They ambushed the girl, named Shizuka, but unfortunately it was just as Falco was winning her over that he was not an enemy. She fled to the cliff they had first met and tried to escape the trio by jumping off. She was caught, lightly interrogated, and confirmed not infected or an enemy. The group wasn't able to convince her to come to the Life Sphere so they parted ways; their mission complete.
(( Something Paranormal ))
While not his favorite thing, the ace pilot responded to a distress call from a spunky red ghost. He and Ganondorf were led into the ruined Nintendoland to recover PAC-MAN. Of course, they found themselves attacked by the infected. First a few Mario animatronics, of which Ganondorf promptly trampled. As the three started heading home they met up with more infected, though this time a familiar Sword Primid; along with a couple flying buckots. Falco and PAC-MAN dealt with the buckots while Ganondorf pounded away at the large Primid and eventually they felled their foes with very little injury.
