[Maverick Hunter Zero]

Mewtwo had heard of such a place known as the Sunshine Stadium, but having been in solitude for that duration was enough to glimpse the fights in relative comfort. He pondered about testing his powers in the arena as he watched the latest battle between a white-haired warrior and the mysterious human known as Hazama. Mewtwo could tell right away that Hazama must have had some form of evil intent, so the Psychic Pokemon devised a cunning plan to gauge Hazama's true potential.

A carefully delivered note from a Meowth had arrived in front of where Hazama usually lurked at this time and was left where the Fedora-sporting, trenchcoat-wearing, maniac could see it. the note was similar to the ones he used back when he wanted to test the abilities of the strongest pokemon trainers, so it was suprising that the note contained a holographic image of Mewtwo instead of a mind-controled Nurse Joy.

The holographic note read: "Dear human, come to the arena to help in honing the skills of your new opponent. I eagerly await your arrival in hopes that you can put on a good show like last time."

Now mewtwo teleported from his lair to the arena, and seated himself on the ground of the stadium floor, his eyes closed in meditation to conserve and build up his power.

Hazama was currently at his apartment, shaping it to look more fitting for a captain o0f the N.O.L Intelligence department. One of these days hazama would put the word out so he could start up a new organization for this place. But for now, hazama was just setting up a fine carpet and a mahogany desk to do the paper work in. Hazama layed down in his office chair, leaving off his fedora and dress coat to relax a little. But, as luck would have it for him, a small...thing made its way into the open window to deliver something to hazama. It looks like...a cat with a coin glued to its head. Poor th- Wait a cat?!

"What the f- Get the hell out of here!" Hazama yelled, gritting his teeth and backing up to grab something...One big issue with this body, allergy to cats. Hazama grabbed one of his butterfly knives and threw it just close enough to scare the meowth away and eave what he came to deliver. Hazama sighed, grabbing the knife back and picking up the holographic message. Hm...rather nice holographic machine. Hazama might keep this once this is all said and done. 

Hazama read..whoever's message and sighed. "Human? Who was this meant for?" Surely whoever this was didn't think hazama was a human. But, in any case hazama was somewhat eager to see who was as idiotic and bone headed enough to challenge him. Though...maybe its time hazama took a more intelligent approach to the arena. After all, last time he fought ragna he was in front of a whole group of people. who would want to fight under a raving lunatic....Hazama dressed himself with a yellow cloak, unbuttoning his under shirt and curling up his jacket sleeves more. A appearance more fitting for Yuki terumi.  This way, when hazama actually is ready to become the N.O.L's rightful maker, he can give some kind of excuse to keep fighting in the arena. 

Hazama left his apartment, running along the rooftops and to the sunshine stadium to meet this new challenger. Hazama, or terumi rather walked into the stadium's main floor until immediately stopping once he saw mewtwo. "Is this a joke?!" Terumi said, holding in a chuckle. " Some lab rat thinks he is gonna mean anything to me?! You must be out of your dumb ass mind!" Terumi laughed, cupping his face into his hand. As he did this, what appeared to be a flame made of dark seither covered him as he laughed. Terumi bursted the flames away from him, looking at mewtwo before leaning back. "Tell me what lab you escaped from so i can send them a bag full of your remains once were done here."

Yet another match for the lightning based gym leader to critique. He was beginning to feel that all these matches were rolling into one. Challengers that he didn’t feel deserved the title of winner, but only got it because the opponent was less significant. He somewhat fantasized about his days as both a gym leader and a lieutenant. Those were the good old days, now he’s on a diseased planet judging fights between those within the safety confines. What a waste of his potential.

Lt Surge entered the arena, a roar of the audience best signalling his approach as they were all left in suspense of just how long until they saw some sort of action. His signature Raichu rested upon his shoulder with its tail acting like a loose scarf. The normal shenanigans were taking place within the ring, someone was bursting into flames for whatever reason. He tended to not question these things.

He hopped onto the battlefield and observed the two sides of the ring, Hazama in some sort of disguise (he was scheduled to do this fight, so Surge had no idea why he was hiding his identity) and some other strange abomination. Looked kind of alien-like. His gaze fell upon Mewtwo as he asked “what the hell are you supposed to be?” After his question, Raichu whispered something in his ear, probably something along the lines of “Rai- Rai- Raichu” there was a very limited amount of possibilities. “That thing’s a Pokemon?” he asked in a confused manner as he took another look at Mewtwo. “Must be one of those newfangled Frenchie Pokemon.”

“Alright, listen up and get yer thumbs outa yer mouths, there will be no killing, no outside help, and you’ll each only have five rounds to show your strengths. Let’s make this a bit more interesting though. You can’t use your most powerful attack, the kids call them Ultimate Attacks. I don’t want to see them. That’s goes for you too Frenchie, none of that fancy Mega evolving. Is that understood?”

Mewtwo simply levitated up so that he could stand up on its feet, the eyes opening to give off a look of deep smugness.

"You will not find the ones who made me, the have long since passed on." Mewtwo said through Hazama's mind, which was almost as confusing as that of an epitaph. But when the ref came and threw in a no ultimate attack rule; the Psychic Pokemon simply nodded at hearing the rules and stood at the ready to show this human the true meaning of power.

"Only normal and Special attacks eh... I think this will be quite useful, wouldn't you agree; human?" The pokemon added, directing his terminology of the word 'human' to Hazama, entering his trademark fighting stance for the battle to begin.

Hazama cackled once again at the "no ultimate attacks" rule, finding it to almost be winning by default. What could this lab rat throw as him to be better in any case? "Yeah, i got it. Start the damn match already...Oh, and test tube bay...you'll find i aint close to being a stupid human." Hazama added on with the human remark, leaning back into his default fighting stance. Micheal Jackson dance moves, don't fail him now!

Hazma played with a single butterfly knife that was held in his left hand, tossing it over to the right and back at the left and the right. Tie to hatch some kind of plan...Then again, if he has the ability to speak through minds, hazama would be out of luck trying to think something up...Hazama would have to come up with a way to trick the Pokemon. Luckily his newest counter move should suffice with enough trickery.

While the tensions between the two fighters seemed to be at an all-time high at the moment, Lt Surge couldn’t help but to roll his eyes. The action was fairly well hidden behind his sunglasses, but the intent was all the same. He felt like he was on a schoolyard playground watching two kids fighting over which Pokemon was cooler, both of them being reluctant to agree with the other. He liked to fantasise about the good old days when it wasn’t just self-indulgent people wanting to show off they were the best.

Surge peered over to Hazama as he announced his impatience. “My apologies, I’m sure this match cut into your nap time and now you’ll be cranky for the rest of the day. If you want, we’ll break for snack time” he mocked as though he was speaking to a child. He felt as though he knew ten year olds with less attitude than this guy.

“Raichu” he commanded as his head twisted toward the Pokemon resting along his shoulder line. The little creature pulled out a tiny red flag with a smile and threw it at the center of the ring. “Close enough, MATCH BEGIN” he shrugged and followed up with a backflip directly out of the ring. It was questionable if he actually ended up landing perfectly since his figure never really appeared over the side of the ring after that point. He has shown that he lived underneath the stadium before.

"I still think that you are a human, even if you aren't." The Psychic pokemon said, moving to where he and Hazama were in close quarters.

Even with his hood up, Hazama was still looking directly at Mewtwo, always a good sign, but in this case, it would be akward for someone who was allergic to cats to be in close proximity to one that was born from Mew's DNA.

"Don't think I'll be easy to read just because I'm a pokemon created by humans, It will not save you in the slightest. Say a breif farewell to your counterattack." Mewtwo added in a silent tone, eyes glowing yellow. If this attack landed, Hazama would be forced to change up his strategy because he would be unable to use his counter.

Hazama sighed, being hit with the disable and being sent back a little distance. Crap baskets, no counter to use. Hazama didn't seem ready to waste his time on this rat, as he just casually strolled back to his starting position and shrugging mockingly. "That your best rat?" Hazama said, then suddenly sneezing. Oh god damn this body to hell...This thing is a friggin part cat?!  Hazama groaned. Oh well...Less guilt about hurting this thing.

Allergies could be put on a back burner with some strength, which is what hazama did as he begun wave dashing to mewtwo to get up close and nasty with the pokemon. Hazama then jumped from him, throwing a array of five knives in mewtwo's direction to give hims something to work on avoiding as hazama started working on using his first special attack this match. "Mizuchi Rekkazan!" Hazama yelled, in a attempt to confuse mewtwo. If this pokemon had watched hazama's battle, he would know his moves name. So, perhaps use of the japanese term would throw him off. 

Hazama brought his arm up, summoning a hex to ensnare mewtwo in place for a "Eternal coils of the dragon serpent" combo as he sent a ouroboros chain to bring the pokemon closer to him for a rapid slash, and then a direct smashing attack by three shadow snakes. But hazama wasn't done yet. Of course, if this move had hit he would send a chain at mewtwo and pull himself onto the flying pokemon to force him into the dirt to drive him deep into the earth for a bit more show to his attack. "I hate these god damn pokemon things." He said to himself, since they can apparently be bipedal, mutated, psychic cats.

“Greetings, all units of the Life Sphere. Today’s match up is Pokedex number 150 Mewtwo and Yuki Terumi, error, Hazama. End statement, unit Omochao what is your input?”

“Unit Omochao and A.I.M. superior, MC Ballyhoo and Big Top inferior”

“Affirmative, the two always went off topic. We shall make a more suitable replacement”

“The green haired one made the logical choice, shadow snakes are effective against any opponent”

“Agreed, snakes are a good choice of weapon. This unit shall upgrade the Life Sphere’s defenses for snake options.”

“That idea is commendable, unit A.I.M.”

“Unit Omochao’s compliment has been received”

Mewtwo simply took the blows, not even caring what the opponent was thinking.  "To think that your Shadow Snakes are not even of the Dark or Poison variety.  That just means I'll have to dredge up the Big time blows." The Psychic Pokemon said, Charging up something in a Kamehamea stance, then sidestepping after it had been fully charged, then moved foreward and Grabbed Hazama, Slapping and throwing him.  Mewtwo then unleashed his Fully charged Shadow Ball and let it soar headlong into his opponent.

If the Shadow Ball managed to make contact, Hazama would feel like he was being haunted by something even his Cat Allergy wouldn't comprehend.
