Dimentio heard of a doctor that tried to rule the world with the use of machines. Not only was this so primitive compared to the use of magic, it was the way he did it. He often used lies and deceit to trick people into trusting him and then betraying their trust again. This was similar to Dimentio's trickery, but there was more. Apparantly the Doctor has gotten away with it several times. This was a mockery to the art of lying! How can it possibly so easy for people to trust you after having their trust broken multiple times! The citizens of his world must be pretty dumb. Dimentio is about to show this 'Dr.' who the superior lying villain mastermind is.

Dimentio put a letter in elegant writing, almost to the point of being hard to read, in front of Wily's door. Literally, just floating there beyond scientific reason. "Come to the stadium. We shall have a duel to show who the superior untrustworthy villain is, Dr. Albert W. Wily."

Dimentio floated off the ground in a relaxed matter, waiting for the Doctor to arrive. He was of course going to take this match, as he did all things, deadly serious. However his clownlike behavior was wonderful at tricking his enemies, so why throw away a trick that hasn't failed? He had a book floating in front of him, one that was custom made to look like the Dark Prognosticus, floating in front of him. He had to do something to pass time afterall. The Dark Prognosticus was his favorite book so he had the cover of all them look like it. Of course it made it hard to tell the books apart, but that did not matter. Besides, very few would actually recognize the book, given that only him, Luigi, Mario, Peach, Bowser, Count Bleck and his minions knew of his betrayl or the appearance of the Dark Progosticus. In fact, only the before mentioned and now Dr. Wily actually knew of his villain status. Well, and Carlson, but he seems to know a lot more than he should anyway.

Wily opened the door to his apartment, holding a mug of coffee made by the currently incomplete robot master Coffee man. Took enough direct shots of coffee to the face,and even more cups of practically sludge like strength before wily managed to get a perfect dark roast and actual aim from the robot master. Maybe he should downgrade him from "Coffee man" to just..."Caffeine man." Bah, doesn't matter at the moment. Wily was still in his bright white dr. Wily fortress bath robe, pink robbit slippers and sleep mask barely off of his eyes as he read the note. "Come to the b;ah humble grumple have a duel for blah blah....SUPERIOR UN TRUST WORTHY VILLAIN?!" Wily spat out his full cup of coffee in shock of who in the world would challenge his intellectual lieing capabilities!

Wily immediately ran in side his apartment once more, then bursting out of the wall in his Wily UFO, yelling out "NOT PAYING FOR IT" as he changed into his normal scientist gear and doing up his hair perfectly. Hair gel aplenty. Wily immediately picked up his futuristic phone, and called up a met that was already in sunshine stadium. "MET! PREPARE MAH THEME MUSIC!" Wily said in a excited German accent. "B-b-but mister wily, i forgot what track it was on the CD!" the met replied, to wily's obvious disgruntlement. "Im....wait what track was that on?!" Wily's ship stopped mid flight, as wily just floated above li in confusion as he argued with the met.

After 30 minutes, they had finally settled on it being Track 8. Even then, this was a track of all of wily's favorite songs! no way any of it could be bad! Wily laughed, Wily's forces consisting of Hot heads, Sniper joes, Met's and even Fan fiends flooded the stadiums to watch there master fight. "Alright met, play it!" Wily said, slowly descending to the stadium with his UFO on mute so the entire stadium could only hear the metal rendition of wily's theme! A slow beat picked up....and then the vocalist was heard...."I LIKE BIG BUTTS AND I CANNOT LIE! You other brothers cant deny! When a girl walks in with a itty bitty waist and a round thing in your face you get. SPRUNG!" Wily's face immediately dropped in embarrassment as it seemed he was off. He knew it was track 10! 

Once the song got to the part of "MY ANACONDA DON'T . WANT. NONE. UNLESS. YOU. GOT. BUNS. HUN." Wily picked up a wrench and threw it at the met playing the music. "ALRIGHT, SHUT IT OFF!" Wily said angrily, all of his robots simulating laughter. "...Ahem....Yes, i am doctor Albert Wily. " He said, looking at dimentio. He had silently prayed that the ref didn't see this particular bit of wily's embarrassment. Not a good first impression.

Luckily for the two of them, there just happened to be a very competent referee that was certainly waiting for them to arive, Richter Abend stood at the ready and made his presence to the two known by letting out a sigh.

"To think that I would be here to witness some good old fashioned beat-downs today... OK you two, clean out your ears and listen well, I am Richter Abend; and I'm going to be the Referee/observer for this throwdown of yours since Lt. Surge is busy with other matters at his gym, there are 5 rules you must abide by in this arena, You each have 5 turns to knock eachother senseless, No Killing, No Items, No outside help so long as it is part of your artes, and you can not escape this arena no matter the reason. If you break these rules, you will answer to me. Now that we have that all taken care of, do any of you have any questions before I let you two start bashing eachother's heads in?" Richter said as he looked between Dimentio and Dr. Wily, all of the citizens of the Life Sphere, including Wily's robots and even Onaga as he was seated on his throne in the audience, were looking for a good battle and had filled the seats to max capacity.

Dimentio was wondering what was taking Wily so long. He raised a peep over his book and noticed a robot seemed to be arguing with someone but no one was arguing back. From this Dimentio guessed he was speaking to Wily and Dimentio looked down to his book again. When Wily initially entered, he was still reading, until he heard the theme music anyway. Holding back a laugh at the doctor's taste in music was easy, but that may've been Dimentio's amazing sense of self-control. "You seem to have a interesting taste in music my dear doctor." Dimentio snapped his finger and at the edge of the seats a stereo was flipped into existence by the means of a black box outline. The stereo was purple with a silver trim, "Play my battle theme," as this was said, 'It's Showtime', Dimentio's usual battle theme, began to play.

"I have no questions, but I do have to make my name known," Dimentio replied. It was questionable why either of them would not know the rules. Wily battled here before and Dimentio took the time to read them. The book in Dimentio's hand disappeared in the same matter as his stereo appeared, just seemingly flipped out of existence. "Master of dimensions... Pleaser of crowds... I am... Dimentio!" Dimentio declared more flashy than necessarily.

Wily scoffed, already knowing the rules by this point. He only tried to kill...one person! Wily laughed once he was given the cue, he pressed a big shiny, bright red, candy like button and his UFO began its mighty transformation. The UFO began to create a Giant metal chassis around it, creating a giant skull. The skull then sprouted 6 separate orange spider legs to hold itself up. "Yada yada I JUST WANNA PROVE WHO IS THE SUPERIOR VILLAIN AROUND HERE!" Wily said, grabbing the two joysticks fro movement of the massive Wily Machine LI. The wily machine then opened holes in its sides, that pushed out two large arms.

Wily was still mad about his rather embarrassing opening, and opened up the hatch of his machine and fired his wily pistol at Dimentio's stereo to shut it off out of jealousy. Seems wily was willing to risk a could be rule breaking if just to protect his image.

Richter seemed unabashed by Wily using his pistol on something conjured out of thin air, but told one of Wily's own Sniper Joes to ring the gong, he then hightailed it to the stands so as to not get caught in the crossfire and was then ready to watch the fight. "Just note that I'll be watching you two closely, That pistol shot will not count against you this time Wily, especially since the last ref penalised you on false start basis. But do it again and you will be penalised." he said with a calm tone in his voice, his eyes begining to observe the match with very stern eyes like a hawk, all while listening to Lemmy Koopa giving him tips on how to be a good referee.

Dimentio was angered by the crime against his stereo, not that you could tell from his consistent smile. That was his custom Dimentio Player DP and was one of a kind. He was surely going to make the doctor pay for his crimes against one of his prized possesions. So much so he did not waste any time as the gong rang and fired a surge of green thunder at Wily followed by a Magic Sphere. He was determined to not just prove who's superior but also avenge his poor now extinct Dimentio Player DP.

This wasn't to say Dimentio wasn't going to think on his actions. He was still a mad genius afterall, he was perfect at keeping his emotions in check and he was also an excellent planner. Of course, he was going to do this fairly, this was a sport and Dimentio is a good sport if anything. He was also in this to prove if magic was superior over Wily's science. Dimentio was not in this to kill Wily or his machine however, he did not wish to break a rule and finishing someone off may not be too trustful.

Dimentio was planning on other ways to get revenge on Wily should he lose to the Doctor. Maybe a quick but painful torture? No, that never teaches anyone a lesson especially when he can't kill them. Slow and painful torture? No, not good enough. Chinese Water Torture? No, its not like he's trying to get information. Tickling is also pretty pathetic. That's it! He'll send him to Dimension D and play mind games with him! Breaking logic was always the most painful part for a scientist!

Wily was ready to fight, the gong rang and wily was more than ready t-...Is that magic? Oh crap that's magic. Wily didn't like magic, not one bit. Not since the battle with marth. Wily's machine wasn't exactly the fastest in any case, so getting hit by the green lighting and magic orb was expected as the machine prepared its dodging routine set up. "Warning, magical energy detected!" the machine cried out, to wily's response of "NO, REALLY?!" Wily grumbled, grinding his teeth and then revealed his newest weapon! "Haven't tested this out yet, but it will be fun either way!" he said as he slammed his fist on a button that reminded him of his last victory. He can do this! Suddenly from the wily machine's mouth, a large missile flew from it, em-blazed with the Wily symbol and it was heading straight for dimentio! Wily then started moving his machine to dimentio, trying to flank him on his left. as soon as wily was on the left, wily immediately slammed his large metal fist onto dimentio to try and keep him dazed long enough for the missile to hit him.

Wily was planning on ways to get revenge on Dimentio should he lose to the Jester. Maybe a job in the target practice department for mets? No, that's too obvious. Force him to polish a hundred sniper joe shields? No, not good enough. Forced to fight 100 airmen? No, that would be impossible. cleaning the UFO is also pretty pathetic. That's it! He'll force him to play F&MD's [Fortresses and Mecha dragons] with Crash man! Not even the mentally insane can stand playing with that drill armed unlucky bot! Not with his pathetic roll's I mean, who roll's a 1, 5 times in a row on a d20. They barely got out of the first village because he immediately died to the first Met's!

Already the battle was starting on a good note, as the Commentator's of today's match sidled into the Commentator's booth.

"Greetings Smash fans, Roy Koopa here with everybody's favorite bane against Sir Arthur; Firebrand"
"Today's matchup is certainly one for the history books, Magic Vs Technology."
"Right you are, Dimentio and Dr. Wily are unique sets in the villianous genepool, with both baddies bringin' their Mystical might and technical prowess to bear!"
"That and their means of devistating their enemies would be attributed to their status as Mad Geniuses, Dimentio's magic attacks seemed to hit the Wily machine and Dr. Wily retaliates with a Missile and strategic flanking of his adversary to try and bean the Dimensional traveler with a punch from his machine."
"And remember ladies and gent's, these guys are fighting to see who is top dog in this match, and both of them are hard at work mentally in what they intend to do to the other if one of them becomes the victor of the fight!"
"And we both know that attacking the referee will be penalised most severly."

Dimentio saw the flanking attack coming and already planned ahead. When the attack hit the Dimentio it simply turned into a puff of smoke as Dimentio had enough time to prepare his counter attack: Missed Me! "You are as blind as a blindfolded man in a blizzard of sorrows," Dimentio said as he fired a blast of magic from his counter before performing a magic slap. Normally slapping a mech would be stupid but this backhand was fueled by magic so it was most likely okay.

Dimentio found the comment from the commentators odd. How did they possibly know he was planning torture if he lost, usually he was harder to figure out than that. Though he questioned why either of them would attack the ref. He doubted either of them were dumb or nonsensical enough to attack the ref. Dimentio was insane but certainly not stupid enough to attack the person that judges fairness. Besides, the doctor deserved his anger so much for breaking the Dimentio Player DP. Now how was he supposed to listen to the music made by his fans? This doctor was priority 1 and things already looked like they were in the Jester's favor. Dimentio was sure his magical power could beat the Doc's tech anyday.

Wily had only barely managed to doge dimentio's magic slap, using quick thinking and a quick use of backward thrust. Now, he needed a plan....Well, the announcers certainly gave him one! Wily smiled, then coming out of the Wily Machine LI in the flying Wily UFO. Wily positioned himself in front of the referee of this match, with his wily machine carried under him. Wily then began firing shots from his wily pistol, the murderer of dimentio's beloved stereo at the jester to catch his attention. Wily was putting himself out here for a attack from dimentio in hopes for him to hit the ref and bring down serious wrath. Well, if wily can dodge fast enough as well.

"I don't know what wily thinks he is doing in positioning himself in front of Referee Abend, does he really think that the ref hadn't prepared for such a situation. What are your thoughts on this Firebrand?"
"I agree with you on this tactic, especially since ol' Richter had called my boss and NME in advance to have a barrier set up around the stadium edge to prevent any sort of audience harm from combatants."
"Your boss be Astaroth, right? And why NME?"
"Yep, Astaroth is indeed my boss, and NME, which is short for NightMare Enterprise, is a one-stop monster service, though they also specialise in special magicks and construction suplies for the Life Sphere if you are into that 'Witchcraft' or 'Home Improvement' biz."
"Ah, That is indeed something that happens to be good, Maybe after this match I can get King Dad to try their service."
"At least the Dr. had to avoid a slap, maybe that's the reason he positioned himself in front of the ref, not knowing about the barrier around the stands after shooting that gun of his."
"That's right dude, I wonder what the Dimensional Jester will do to counteract Wily this time? I'm getting excited, so don't leave those seats yet folks!"

Dimentio did not see the laser shots coming and got hit. Those came from the weapon that broke the Dimentio Player DP. However, Dimentio will not go into a blind rage. That Dr. clearly thought Dimentio was stupid if he did not think Dimentio would notice his trick. Dr. Wily was standing in front of the ref so if Dimentio missed him he would hit the ref instead. "You think you are as sly as a fox luring a chicken, Doc?" Well not sly enough as Dimentio Dimension warped above the ref and fired a sphere at Wily.

It was time for Dimentio's new favorite game, Referee Roulette. Dimentio has turned the tides and made it so Wily had to attack him or miss and hit the ref. Since Dimentio wasn't attacking the referee its not like it against the rules or anything. Dr. Wily thought he was making Dimentio play the game, but it was Dimentio making the Doctor play Ref Roulette.

Wily  looked around frantically for dimentio as he flipped away, until he was turned around from dimentio's sphere. the robotic female voice inside his machine spoke, informing wily of the damage.  "Would you stop that?! i know he hit me dang it!" Wily was getting very angry now, releasing he had to play the game with the tables turned on him...Looks like its time for some good ol' last stitch insane plan....Wily flew his machine and ufo away from the ref to get a better distance. It was perfect, as wily slicked his eyebrows with saliva and pushed his hair back...

Wily pushed a button, two sniper joe's coming from the capsules on the WMLI..but this time, wily grabbed one of them from mid air. The wily machine wound up a good throw, slinging the poor sniper joe around and around before chunking him right at the ref. As the sniper joe flew, Dr. wily popped from his capsule and fired two shots of his wily pistol at the flying joe, and then a single wily torpedo to boot. the sniper joe's eye shined bright as time seemed to slow. The sniper joe stopped directly in front of the referee, his shield put up as he reflected the shots of the wily pistol at the demented jester using the shields reflective properties. 

The sniper joe gave a robotic "Hmph!" As he then bashed his shield against the wily torpedo and threw its direction towards dimentio. The sniper joe saluted the ref before back flipping its way back into the field. The sniper joe's then began firing there busters at dimentio, aiming for where he could be rather than where he was.

"Referee Roulette! Who'd have thought that would be in style in this day and age!?"
"Don't look at me, I certainly do NOT know about this turn of events. Let's hop Ol' Dimentio has a way to survive this savage trick."
"I gotta agree with you on this one, and it looks as though Astaroth has made himself known."
That's right Roy-dawg. Let's just say that my boss is the barrier.

Far from being unphased by the fact that one of Wily's sniper Joes protected him from both the lasers and the missile, he was barely mortified by the assault as a result. but unknown to the dimensional traveler, a demonic hand was gently pushing him back into the arena with a voice saying: "Can't have you above the audience my good man, you still have some fun left over." as what appeared to be Astaroth within a pocket dimension could be seen with his otherworldly visage above the audience behind the referee. the hand then returned to stealth visibility mode as the demon floated above the audience, observing when he would need to punish the fighters if they did manage to hit the ref.
