As the reptile continued to massacre the wolf’s leg, she put up some more retaliation and that was to be expected. The creature had already endured the last wave of attacks that Amaterasu had inflicted on him and he wasn’t sure how much more abuse he could take before ending up like his other brethren that tried to attack the goddess. Even with the other two of its Kremling Krew being frozen under ice there was still hope for their victory, they’ve suffered through some tough times and their prize for their efforts was within their grasp. As the crocodilian was lost in thought, the wolf got a good scratch at his eyeball. The pain of the claw sweeping across the liquid surface of his iris was enough for him to release her paw and swing his head back as he screeched. As his head swung though his neck planted itself directly into the canine’s jaws. Her final move was enough to revert his body into trophy form.

Black Mage decided to use the frozen Kremlings as a weapon and unfortunately for the frozen Kroc he couldn’t do anything to rebel. The ice around him hadn’t thawed enough to make an escape feasible at the moment. Though as the man attempted to push the ice block, he’d notice that it was near impossible for him to actually budge it. Especially with his abysmal body strength. When the Kritters were froze in place that meant that their feet were basically glued to the ground.

The scarred reptilian took this opportunity to abuse the mystic’s blunder and noticed from the corner of his eye that the white wolf had finished off the last half of their team. Things were not looking too good for them, so he reached into his shoulder pad to press something (no doubt a tiny device within it) and returned to the battle. He gripped his fists and swung around his partner’s frozen carcass to deliver a swift and powerful punch to the mystic’s face.

As Black Mage placed his hands on the Kremling icicle to push him into the electric net he set up, a sudden burst freed him from his restraints. Ice shards exploded and shattered across the room as he flexed his reptilian muscles. His eyes honed in on the one who had frozen him to begin with and didn’t waste a second to drop kick the robe wearing man directly on the chest.

The flash of light preceding the hardening of the Kremling's body into his trophy form signaled the wolf to release the lizard. Amaterasu pushed herself away across the floor a few inches and stared at the trophy with relief, turning her head down to her torn up leg afterward. Inspection of her wounds would be cut short however as the sounds of battle continued a few feet away; and they didn't look like they were going too well for her ally.

Ideas flashed through her mind of the fastest and most effective way to immediately aid the mage as she stood up, lifting her shredded leg from the ground. There were a few, but one she refused to consider seriously as it would put her little blue lizard in a spot of attacking his previous 'family'. That was a little harsh so early on in their relationship. Taking that into account she began hopping around the fallen Kremling to position herself for a ranged shot of her resurrection beads, of which 5 began glowing around her neck.

Being that her shot was rather spread the longer the distance and she didn't want to risk slapping Black Mage with them positioning was very important. He was in close proximity with all of them and surrounded, meaning she couldn't spend as much time as she would like to get involved to lessen his damage and that she had to be extra careful in lining up the shot. Luckily this place was a hallway, so distance was easy to close.

Ammy hobbled over to the Kremling's side, the green lizard that had taken something out from his shoulder pad as it was the closest. She then twisted her head sideways to take a moment to consider her shot and released all 5 beads in a semi-vertical spread. There was a slight diagonal to the jagged line they formed perpendicular to the ground but the variance would only help with catching simple motions such as the Kremling stepping back. The distance she was from the Kremling would only give her beads the pushing power of someone accidentally bumping into him, but the ethereal burns upon contact would send the message.

Black Mage was not quite sure why it wouldn't budge, and was so distracted he got hit by the Kremling as it moved around its partner to hit him. Black Mage got pelted by the Ice shards but managed to dodge the Drop Kick. He was very tired at this point, though, he couldn't take much more damage, he wasn't built for this close brawl stuff. Black Mage did a short hop and shot a Thunder spell at the floor to electrocute the Kremlings that was around him as well as propel himself for some distance. Fortunately he landed next to his staff and picked it up. He was going to need this, he only had 4 spells in reserve without it.

He noticed as he got some distance that Ammy has finished with her group. He was going to need some help, whether he wanted to admit it or not. He was grateful for the White Wolf's assistance. It was time to finish off these Kremlings. Black Mage pointed his hand at the frozen Kremling and used him as a sort of lightning rod to shock the other Kremlings with a similar movement he used to make the Electric Net.

Unfortunately for the currently frozen head-butting Kremling he would remain in his state for yet another bout, which in total meant that so far his contributions to the battle was being an icicle. Not exactly a feat that he could wear as a badge of honour.

With the white wolf no longer being distracted by their allies, the Kritters knew that they weren’t in a good position of power anymore. Given that they still had one other ally left encased in an icy cold restraint that evened the battlefield outside of their favour. The scarred Kremling was the first to take note of this when both of the smash brothers’ had directed an attack toward him. To be fair though, the magician was doing more of an area attack than directing himself at the creature, unlike Ammy who seemed to have eyes only on him. The first of the attacks was some sort of trap aimed at his feet. He leapt off the ground and latched onto the grate that the team had originally fell from before the fight. It wasn’t a stable platform to grab onto, but at least it would stop his feet from getting fried. He swung around on the rickety platform like he was the very thing that was his arch nemesis to try and avoid whatever it was the wolf was firing at him. A couple of the beads had skinned him though, the pain wasn’t something to shrug off, but he could’ve been hit much worse. Since he was away from his frigid friend now, Black Mage’s second attack wasn’t something for him to fear all that much. The wolf though, was a threat that had to be shut down quickly. The reptile ripped off a section of the metal platform and chucked it directly at the goddess. He didn’t trust the ground at the moment.

As for the recently awakened reptilian, he was not nearly as quick witted or footed as his ally and took the ground assault from the mystic. His missed drop kick caused him to step forward as though he were making a gigantic and exaggerated stride, so he couldn’t do much to avoid the shocking pain. He danced in place for a bit to try and calm the shocks, but it did little. The Kroc glared at the mage and began to close the distance between the two of them. Given the guy distance was a bad ploy, so he was going to make certain that it wasn’t going to happen. The guy shot electricity through his fingers yet again, though he looked to be aiming at his frozen ally instead of himself. He didn’t want to get caught in the crossfire so he leaped far out of the way from his partner and more toward Black Mage to deliver some more punishment. As his feet connected to the ground, he forced his head forward at the mage performing a true head to head skull bash.

Officer Blewit just watched the brawl going on from a distance. He still wondered if there was much for him to do at this point. The net that the robed one had set up was still rendering him useless. He didn’t have any sort of long ranged attack and even if he did he wasn’t certain if could pass through the electrical barrier without causing some sort of mishap. He just continued to ponder as both the heroes and the Kremlings were exchanging shots with one another.

Suddenly, the earth underneath the mushroom headed individual’s loafers began to quake. The tiles at a section in the hallway began to rise with each tremor that had taken place. “Well, that can’t be good. You guys done over there yet? I think we have some more pressing matters over here!”

The electrical net sent out in a radius from the mage was indiscriminate of who it touched. Luckily Amaterasu was just at its edge and with a few steps back she escaped its grasp with but a few minor shocks and a slight numbness in her front paws. Her tongue slipped from her mouth as she reassessed the situation. One Kremling dancing in retreat and picking something up, the other beginning a charge toward her injured ally. It was an obvious choice of what she needed to do next.

The canine began running at the Kremling approaching Black Mage, her divine retribution moved off to the side to act as a lazy shield against the other lizard; who was preparing to throw part of the metal platform. If it were not for the charging Kremling needing to dodge she never would have had a chance to catch him with her injured leg. While she pushed through the immense pain shooting up her back leg there was still quite the limp, making her lunge onto the Kremling weaker than she'd like.

Amaterasu intentionally threw herself before the Kremling with an opposed force from his side, hoping to push his charge off course even just slightly, and latched herself on as best she could with whatever she could. The metal platform thrown at her connected with her flaming mirror when she just caught the other Kremling giving her an added bonus on throwing of the charge. Unfortunately the thing ricocheted off awkwardly and ended up tearing down her side.

At the very least this should give Black Mage the time to deal some spell damage. The luster of the flames edging the swirling disk around Ammy were obviously waning at this point, though flickering in angry bursts from time to time.

Black Mage would normally not be able to dodge while spell casting, but the trembling sent Black Mage up into the air. Seriously, this is starting to get annoying, the mage thought to himself. "Yeah, I noticed Blew it." Black Mage responded and looked up. It was that Kremling that kept avoiding his spells! That stupid Kremling was starting to REALLY tick Black Mage off. He shot a thunder spell at the metal the Kremling was holding onto, making it looked like it missed, to give the Kremling a painful shock and maybe send hims plummeting to the ground for additional damage. As he landed with Ammy held off the Kremling, these 3 had to be finished fast, even Ammy looked like she could not take much more, so BM spun his staff again to hit the misdirected Kremling with a barrage of fireballs. Black Mage then focused his telepathy to Blewitt, "I'm canceling the magic in the net, this close quarters fight is starting to annoy me!"

Just as the Kroc-sicle finally thawed out for the second time in a row, a crackle of lighting struck him directly on the chest. Given that he was still moist from the liquid still on his skin he was a mighty conductor for the electricity. It bounced around his body and finally shut down his systems before he could even wager into the fight as an actual thread. The Kremling began to glow and shimmer before being reduced to his trophy form.

The Kritter’s gaze followed the canine as she attempted to escape, but he was so much better at dodging than he was at attacking apparently, the platform didn’t do as much damage as he hoped. The metal rod rung against the tile as the limping wolf evaded its throw. His crocodilian senses tingled as he noticed Black Mage’s movements from the corner of his eye. He was an electric user and the scarred Kritter was clinging to metal, that wasn’t a good combination. As soon as the mage summoned the stream of electrical current to finish him off, the lizard leaped from his vantage point and back onto the battlefield. He gripped the metal pipe he had thrown down and immediately noticed the net being taken down. The enemies needed to be dealt with first, their squad was in no condition to ignore the two of them. He rushed at the wolf the same way that she had rushed his ally and swung his weapon at her inherently damaged limb in order to weaken it further.

The other Kremling was thrown off as his charge was interrupted something else entirely. Whatever it was threw him off his trail and launched him back another couple of feet. He fell onto a kneeling position. His eyes were still fixated onto the mystic as he again made his spell summoning very apparent. Whatever it was he was going to throw at him it wasn’t going to be good for him at all. He somersaulted sideways and checked himself into the wall, which did a significantly less amount of damage to him than the fireballs thrown at him would have. He rested for a moment to catch his breath, but he didn’t waste this time for anything. Failure was not an option and the sudden tremors gave him a good feeling of what was to come.

The ground continued to sunder, dirt pouring over the tiles and a small hill began to form. Blewit oddly glared at it as it continued to grow. Black Mage’s sass wasn’t needed either, but the taking down of the barrier was much needed. The distant between him and the other two was too great for him to quickly come to their aid, besides the ground’s tumor was in the way and he wasn’t going to step over it even if he was given a thousand coins as a dare. “Uhh… I might be able to handle whatever this is. It depends if it’s a small army or just a mole…”

Amaterasu was unable to recover from her dive into the charging reptile and unable to grapple the beast as initially intended. She rolled off to the side and was incapable of regaining her footing before it set off toward Black Mage again. In retrospect it was probably for the best that she hadn't managed to sink her claws and teeth in, seeing the fireballs fly by. The canine staggered to all fours, quickly lifting her injured one off the floor, but before she could move anywhere else the remaining Kremling knocked her back down.

Another slam of the metal pipe bit into her and she yelped, her head recoiling in an attempt to grip the weapon with her teeth. Snarling she managed to latch her jaws onto the weapon for a few moments before it being wrenched away by the muscular lizard. As her gaze settled downward she felt little feet pressing against her back. In the next moment a Klaptrap was leaping into the air and aimed to clamp his powerful jaws on the Kremling's right shoulder. If hit he would remain clamped and attempt to further dig in his large teeth. Otherwise he would come back around and try to climb up the Kremling's leg and begin tearing away.

Well, that's somebody to add to the list, BM thought as his lightning missed. Oh come on! What were these Kremlings, Psychic? BM was fed up with this, however, he was not going to use 'it' just yet. He had to wait for the thing over there to reveal itself. Well, time for another Haste, BM said to himself, he was too tired to cast it on two again, so he would have to use it on himself. He then ran at Sonic speed to the resting Kremling and then fired a halfway charged Hadouken right in the Kremling's face since BM could not risk another charging time. There seemed to be a fourlegged kremling attacking the other ones, was it on their side? Sure seemed like it, friend of the Wolf perhaps. Did not matter, "Just hold whatever it is off while we finish these 2!" BM said to Blewitt over the mental link.

The floor was looking like it was nearly going to burst. Reinforcements were nearly here at last, the Kremlings might live to tell their tale of woes another time. They hadn’t had the time to think of this just yet though. They were still in the thick of it. The resting Kritter was given enough time to scope out his surroundings and keep an eye on both the fighters in case one of them decided to capitalize on his decision. Surely enough the mage stormed his way over to the reptile out of rage of their incredible dodging abilities. Even with the incredible speed that Black Mage was charging at, the creature was prepared for such an assault. He scurried like a true crocodile on all fours and threw himself in front of his enemy’s feet to try and trip him up and use his momentum against him.

The other Kritter was not as lucky as his other partner. The wolf batted away his weapon the exact moment after he used it to brutalize the beast. This quick action raised his guard since he was without another means of deflecting attacks and while on an ordinary circumstance the flying Klaptrap would have caught him off-guard, but his adrenaline was pumping like there was no tomorrow and frankly in this situation there very well could be. He almost performed a backflip in his attempts to dodge the tiny beast, but sprung back up after he watched the blue gator glided overhead. The Kroc scoffed off the traitor afterward and continued the assault against Ammy, but two things got in his way of that. The first being the Klaptrap munching on his calf, the second being the conclusion of the violent rumbling.

A gigantic drill bit finally pierced through the tiles. Shrapnel and dirt flew in all directions as though it were an explosion, though it wasn’t within reach of the smash brothers or other Kremlings. Blewit dove for cover. Huge muscly arms tailed behind the personal and somewhat portable drilling device. It was rather big, but to the user it was quite portable at least more so than Ammy or Black Mage. With the drill bit clutched in one hand, the other gripped against the ground to pull the rest of the being outside of his personally made hole. His blood red eyes were the first to emerge and that was quickly followed by the rest of the intimidating crocodilian’s enormous body. “HA HAH, THIS is what you called me in for. Abandon hope vermin!” the titan bellowed as he began to squeeze his large body out of the hole, his eyes dead on the pair of heroes.

The room fell silent as the behemoth began preparing to escape his entry way, but there were muffled sounds coming from the ceiling, if one were to listen closely it sounded like “falcon…” it went silent for exactly one second. The beast heard this faint sound and looked above. Suddenly a section of the stone ceiling crackled. “PUNCH!!!” as the outburst was made, an entire section of the ceiling dropped at an accelerating rate, the police chief himself surfing the debris as it squashed the titan back into his hole. The Captain made a two fingered salute to the other warriors. “Show your moves.”

There was a strange déjà vu to this situation for Ammy, recalling the instance she visited the past and witnessed the 'death' of her previous incarnation. Stomach torn and leaking over the floor with damaged limbs to the point of having trouble standing up. If only she hadn't lost connection with her other divine instruments in the fall here. With Clinch distracting her assailant Amaterasu was able to take a moment to finally take in what was going on further in the hallway; while of course getting to her feet as quickly as she could.

A wave of relief came over the white wolf upon seeing the return of the Captain. They could still do this. If nothing else she would provide momentarily cover and distraction so her allies could accomplish the defense of this cell block. It wouldn't be the first time she threw herself in the line of fire so that others may succeed. The sun goddess eventually made it to standing on three legs but refrained from moving much from her spot. Instead she prepared to counter strike if the Kremling before her shook of the klaptrap.

Clinch continued to ravage the leg of the Kremling and when any motion was made to shake him off he would dig in with his teeth. If a clawed hand went to reach for him he would jump to the other leg and rake his claws along the green lizard's flesh some more. If he was actually grabbed he would make an attempt to clamp onto the limb he was attacking, and if that didn't work then would move to damaging the hand or arm or whatever was in reach of him.

Despite the Kremling's attempts to trip him up, Black Mage saw this coming and was going to use this opportunity for revenge. He was fed up with these Krocs and devoted himself to finish murderlizing all the rest as cruel as possible. He already finished the one he deemed Freezie with the deadly 'Toaster in the Bathtub technique.' Since 'Shotgun to the Face' did not work it was time for a different approach. Black Mage jumped with agile speed and technique right on the Kremling's back and quickly thrust his palm to the Kremling's back assumingly where his heart was supposed to be. Black Mage then let out a lethal stream of electricity to give the Kremling a heart overload in the technique he likes to call the 'Heart Stopper.' Its a good thing while reading up on magic he also read up on a lot of ways to murder.

After the shock he would hope finish it off, Black Mage backflips off his victim. Then he heard the words Falcon and looked around, Oh great, what is he going to break this time? The moment Black Mage noticed a stronger looking Kremling pop out of the ground the word Punch came out and the ceiling crashed on the Blue Kremling with Captain Falcon riding the debris. Does this guy have any respect for this building?! Oh well, at least we have backup.

Despite the quick appearance of their reinforcement, the Kremlings didn’t seem eager to regroup just yet. If anything it would be better for their ally to approach the scene rather than them leaving it. Their escape would only cause them to become easy targets of the long ranged mage and they didn’t want to run the risk of getting further damaged. Besides the scarred Kritter couldn’t move much due to the Klaptrap digging into his lower leg. The wolf bought herself a few precious seconds, she was too injured to be seen as a bigger threat than her minion. The crocodilian began to flail his leg around violently in hopes to fling the creature off. Unfortunately the creature’s jaws were too strong for him to counteract. His reptilian eyes gazed at a neighboring cell’s bars with a devilish glitter shimmering off of them. He began to rapidly slam the tiny lizard against the bars in another attempt to break its grasp.

As the crocodile crawled in front of Black Mage like a frog tempting fate with the wheel of a transport truck, he felt a sudden heavy amount of weight drop onto his back. It pushed his chest against the ground and naturally stopped the being from making any further movements from there. What it wasn’t expecting though was the swift sting of static that swum through his body and struck his heart directly. A bursting gasp of air left his jaws right before his body began to glow and revert his body into a more solidified state. One Kritter left.

The fallen roof didn’t stay in place for too long. The drill bit that the muscle bound Kremling was wielding broke through the center of the platform and in reaction to this Captain Falcon leapt off and began to race toward the group as they were finishing off the last of the small army. They looked fairly beaten and broken, but the Captain could still work with them. He’d have to be a bit more creative with his tactic, but he could still use them all the same. As he ran down the hallway, he shouted ahead “you up for another fight?!”

The beastly behemoth rose from the ground once more, though this time around he was equipped with a debris shield. At least it would come in handy against long range fighters. “Hah, pathetic” the creature lowly mocked as it began to lumber his way toward their position. Using the old ceiling piece as an overgrown bracelet, he tossed the drill to his other hand and reeved it to test its functionality. “You’ll all make nice editions to my collection” he threatened once more as he continued his march. The view of him approaching the two should be very reminiscent of when Blewit used the Super Mushroom, only the Kremling was still slightly bigger than the toad in that form.

Such a brutal onslaught set upon Clinch by the larger and stronger lizard was too much. The little blue critter relinquished his hold on the Kremling so as to avoid another hit on the bars, then skittered back away behind Amaterasu with a quiet whimper. While the muscled beast was busy beating her ally Ammy had prepared the final three of her resurrection beads and carefully repositioned herself. As Clinch released and fell to the ground the wolf shot the ethereal force into the Kremling's back, angled upward to connect with his head hopefully dealing a nice knock to the head as just desserts for his assault on Clinch.

If this didn't quite finish him off, Amaterasu had begun hurriedly hobbling forward to take advantage of any sort of momentary stun her projectiles would cause by snapping her jaws on the Kremling's non-injured leg and pulling it out from underneath him. Next step in the process would be to claw and bite until he pushed her off, which in her state wouldn't be difficult, or he became a trophy.

She was quite aware of what was going on with the larger croc approaching, but the last thing they needed was one Kremling left to distract them while the larger threat imposes upon them. Amaterasu would keep this Kremling away from the others so they could focus on new threat; hopefully.

Black Mage dashed to Falcon's side. Ammy was in a standoff with another Kremling, the one Black Mage hated the most, but he admitted one thing. Ammy was a good distraction and the big Kremling is probably more of a threat. Besides, it would be bad to waste an attack's aim if he is defeated before the attack lands. "Okay, Falcon, that debris shield may be a problem, a lot of my attacks depend on range and that shield doesn't look like a good conductor and heating it up may not be a choice. You distract him at close range and I'll provide cover fire, got it?" Black Mage explained his plan to the Captain. However, as not to waste his turn, 1 support shot couldn't hurt he thought as he turned around to aid Ammy with a bolt of lightning aimed at the Kremling before turning around to the big Kremling.
