Character Name: Jirachi
Home Planet/Origin: Pokemon World (Hoenn)
Preferred Motto:
"Jira, Jirachi, is this truly your heart's desire?" (Often in conjunction: "I truly pity you, Rachi...")
Appearance:
Alignment: Chaotic Good, though it often seems to align more Chaotic Neutral due to its attempts to grant the wishes on its tags.
History On Li:
Jirachi does not remember arriving ot was asleep during the event, and therefore cannot say what, exactly, happened to the mountain cave it called home. It can, however, remember waking up in shock, for it had only been six years since the last passing of the Thousand-Year Comet, on a planet that was not supposed to be. To be frank, it panicked. Jirachi didn't know how to handle being awake in the state it was at the time. After a almost a year of secluding itself in an unpopulated area of the wasteland it awoke in, trying to get itself to go back to sleep, it's massive curiosity won over. Wherever it was, it was awake, and it wasn't going back to sleep for some time yet. It might as well explore!
Somewhere in exploring, it discovered the Life Sphere and the existence of Starvia. This panicked the slowly more and more overwhelmed Jirachi again, and it counted its lucky stars that its steel type was resistant to disease. (Of course, psychic is weak to dark...) It just wants to fix its home, but it never did have the power to grant its own wishes, and it seems that, despite being awake, it's on such low power that it is granting no one else's either. Worse yet, it's slowly becoming jaded. It was meant to stay innocent, only to be awake for one week a year. Recently, Jirachi has been isolating itself again, desperately trying to sleep as opposed to constantly running exhausted and at minimum power for a legendary, and growing more and more horrified at the desires of others around it...
Storied History:
"Generations have believed that any wish written on a note on its head will come true when it awakens. It is said to have the ability to grant any wish for just one week every thousand years." -Pokemon X/Y Pokedex entries.
When the Thousand-Year Comet falls across the sky, it coincides with the one week Jirachi may awaken. In Hoenn, there is an ancient festival every year in its honor, where pure-hearted singers sing for its awakening. Six years ago, Jirachi did awaken, granting the wishes of any who wrote them on its Wish Tags. Then, it fell back into a slumber, guarded by crystals in a hidden mountain cavern.
Attributes:
Ability: Serene Grace
Base stats: 100 HP/100 Atk/100 Def/100 SpA/100 SpD/100 Spe
Quirky nature (neutral growth)
Perfect IV spread
EV spread of 252 Spe/252 SpA/4 HP
Lv. 82
Total Calculated Stats: 285 HP/196 Atk/196 Def/246 SpA/196 SpD/246 Spe
Primary Attacks:
Wish: Jirachi wishes very hard to heal. One post later, Jirachi or an ally of Jirachi will heal as a result. If Jirachi is knocked out or killed after activating the attack but before it takes effect, it will still take effect in the proper number of posts.
Psychic: Jirachi attacks the foe with psychic power.
Zen Headbutt: Jirachi headbutts the opponent, aided by psychic power.
Special Attacks:
Future Sight: Jirachi attacks in the future by predicting it in the present. Two posts after it is activated, the target will be shocked by a powerful psychic energy. If Jirachi is knocked out or killed after activating the attack but before it takes effect, it will still take effect in the proper number of posts.
Last Resort: A very powerful move that fails unless Jirachi has used every other move in its moveset, including its ultimate attack. Jirachi attacks the opponent with desperate desire.
Double-Edge: A very powerful move that inflicts one third of the damage caused to the opponent on Jirachi. Jirachi attacks the opponent with a powerful slashing tackle, at risk to its own health.
Ultimate Attack:
Doom Desire: Jirachi's most powerful move. Fueled by the selfish desires of others, Jirachi brings a storm of meteors, light, and metallic energy upon its foe. This move is more powerful the more damning its opponent's desires have the potential to be. Jirachi will always activate it two posts before it takes effect, and, similarly to another of its moves, it can continue to move while the move is waiting to take effect. It is easily avoided, however, by those who have only the purest, most incorrigible desires, as Jirachi will be unable to power the attack. The True Eye on Jirachi's chest opens only when this attack is being preformed, as it is still sleeping. If Jirachi is knocked out or killed after activating the attack but before it takes effect, it will still take effect in the proper number of posts.
Allies/Friends:
-Other legendary Pokemon, particularly the smaller, cuter, more elusive ones.
-Those with pure desires, which is sadly quite rare....
Enemies/Rivals:
-Those with impure desires, of which there are far too many.
-Those who desire to capture it for pure or impure reasons.
Any Other Information:
-Jirachi can sense the innermost desires of the people around if, though, since it is trapped awake at the wrong time, it can only use this to fuel Doom Desire and to blackmail or guilt trip others. It tries to ignore it mostly, but it's slowly overwhelming it.
-Jirachi will only open its True Eye in an emergency, so that it can use Doom Desire. However, so long as it stays closed, Jirachi is technically half asleep. Sometimes it's hard to tell, but, considering how long Jirachi's been forcibly awake, it can be extremely easy to tell at other times.
-In addition, it can also communicate telepathically, but only when the True Eye is open. Since it only rarely opens it, Jirachi mostly communicates in syllables of its name, like any other Pokemon.
-Jirachi will still try to grant wishes written on its Wish Tags, whether they be good or evil, whether it requires illegality or not, so long as they are possible without using her power. This is because each unanswered wish written there while it's awake practically burns.
