Inactive members are nothing new around here, but given that these are staff members and haven't given me any form of excuse for their disappearance/lack of activity it has become a huge issue. In the event of this, I have opened up this thread to discuss what we should do with the threads that involve them. Considering that its been almost over two months since either of these staff members have posted, action must be taken.

The threads that are affected by Shadow's absence:

The threads that are affected by Alex Kidd's absence:

Some Bird Watching
A Wanderer Walks In
Bitter Awakening
Super Star Activation

There might be more than just these, but as far as I know these are the threads that are affected. I will not dictate what to do about these threads on my own. If you are a part of any of these threads I want to know what action you'd like to be seen done. Should we just skip them or just retire the thread entirely? They... and Celebration of Life are run by Shadow so the latter would be preferable for those.

Well, where possible we could do something along the lines of what Knightman and I did for his Disturbance in Slumber thread. We skipped Alex, though did it in such a way that temporarily removed his character from the immediate scene and left an opening for him to come back in whenever [if ever] he returns.

Would be different for each thread of course, but would provide an RP reason for the disappearance instead of suddenly characters just ignoring one of the party and keep a return available. Obviously this wouldn't work for things like the site wide mission since they were being run by an absentee.

That was the direction I would like to go, but I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on the matter. A lot of people around here don't tend to be vocal about anything anyway though, so I supposed it'd just be better to go along with it.

Gaining power is only Alex and I, so I suppose I'll just be retconing the events or restarting it since the thread is vital to moving the Gang Wars plot line forward.

As for the site wide events, I'll let them be in the case that Shadow does return sometime, but for the moment the events in those threads are non-canon.

Every other thread though, I'd prefer the members in them to discuss their solutions, even if their conclusion end up being the same as ours.

Due to the the issues that older inactive threads have been posing against older members interacting with newer ones, I will be closing down any thread that hasn't seen activity for at least one month. If I have taken down one of your threads and you feel as though it is unfair or you want to pursue the thread regardless, please pm me and I shall put it back. For now though anything removed from the board can be removed from your journal which gives you an extra slot for more missions.
