The numerous amount of noise coming from this portion of the Life Sphere was something that for the two bespectacled Beanish sisters didn't expect especially to the fact that the eldest didn't like all the noise pollution going on.

Moreso with how crowded this place is.

In one corner, there was someone playing a musical instrument here, someone talking there and even more with dancing among other activities around the area which Jovie thought would be fun to participate in with her elder sibling because it looks so much fun.

The younger thought that maybe it would help Kagami get in a better mood.

"Sheesh, if I thought today this place was going to have a heavy crowd, I would had avoided it from the start."

Despite the sarcastic remark, Kagami was noticeably frustrated as she had an annoyed look across her face while the younger was looking up to her in concern.

"Um, Jovie has a suggestion but.. erm, maybe big sis should try to calm down and enjoy what is going on?"

"Aah.."

Kagami stretched her arms up before placing them behind her head as she started walking, looking back up to what was ahead of her.

"Nah! I mean, if I want to be a grump, let me be one and besides, it's not like I'm telling you what not to do or anything like that."

"Yes but big sis should try to be more happy and less grumpy."

Jovie had a hopeful but nervous undertone to her suggestion which made her worried if she was being too direct with her elder sibling, which caused Kagami to stop in place before she turned her body around and looking back to Jovie with a sinister grin.

"Well, you need to catch up unless you want to end up snagged. Move it or lose it, we don't have all day now!"

The way that Kagami answered Jovie was full of spite and caused the younger's eyes to widened as she panicked before hurrying along as to catch up.

Jovie felt bad as she had messed up there but she can't let herself get mad at Kagami even if she is a jerk to her.

Eventually, Kagami lowered her arms to her sides before the younger would instantly grab her elder sibling's hand and followed alongside the elder sibling's direction as the duo would walk along the area.

All Jovie wanted to do is help Kagami out, she never meant for any trouble, and besides, the sisters did had a rough start when they had arrived in this place.

Though in the midst of this, Kagami was thinking about the recent circumstances with Jovie about being her sister, she rolled her eyes with a brief mental motion that screamed: yeah right.

While there was anger on one side, in another, there were also questions as this place felt like an additional maze in the midst and she felt like a babysitter in the midst of it all.

In fact, Kagami wasn't a fan of being stuck with this responsibility, much to her dismay. 

However, while Kagami has her side of the ordeal going on, all the younger can do is go along with things though the fact is for some reason, she would be hearing about some rumor about a strange yet shady individual roaming around the Life Sphere among other rumors. 

Jovie did wonder but she was silent as she was more focused with her elder sibling. Things might be tense now but she had to keep her head up and believe that it will get better.

Fawful is There

Fawful had set up a stall in his merchant cloak selling all sorts of junk he had scavenged from outside the Light Sphere, that he recycled into useless knick-knacks that people don't need but think would look good in their homes. Hoping to get that extra money he needs. After all, he who has the gold makes the rules. And Fawful is trying his best to make certain he has more gold than anyone else.

That is when he felt a strange presence nearby, a presence that was all too familiar to him.

"Darkness! I am having the sensing of the darkness of the Dark Star somewhere nearby. Like the wafting scent of an evil pie. Yet that is the impossible. Fawful has the Dark Star's essence inside him no one else should be the having of that. I have confusion! Fawful said.

Leaving his stall he walks towards where he felt that strange presence from. Until he spotted to young Beanish girls.

"I have shock! Beanish like Fawful here? Why does one have the darkness that I am feeling?" thought Fawful.

Fawful then walks over in front of the two Beanish.

"I have greetings! I am but a lowly merchant that has wares if you have coin. Though I find that one of you might be the having of an interesting something yourself. I am willing to pay it off of your person or perhaps we can be doing the trading. Like the swapping of lunch box snacks at the school cafeteria." Fawul said.

He waited for the two Beanish's answer, luckily with his robes/disguise they could not possibly recognize the infamous Fawful in this outfit. If they somehow do things would get complicated.

Both girls were caught completely off guard at the presence of the strange person as they were approached, standing still. While Jovie was listening, it was actually exciting for her that someone else that is friendly had approached, albeit, she was somewhat confused but her spirits were raised regardless as Kagami had this feeling of a familiar aria lingering around.

Almost if the darkness has gotten stronger..

"Jovie says hello as well. Hehe!"

The younger did a friendly wave towards the merchant as eventually, she turned to Kagami before she continued, "Oh and this is big si-"

Kagami would sharply glare at the younger, promptly causing Jovie to fall back somewhat, before changing course. Whoops.

"A-a-anyway, um, you said about trading?"

"Sorry, not interested."

Jovie perked up nervously. "W-what?"

"Excuse us for a moment."

Kagami would walk away from the scenario, bringing Jovie along to talk amongst themselves before she would have a hushed but direct tone.

"Jovie, I dunno about you but doesn't it strike to you as odd that not only we're lost but also approached by some stranger wanting something?"

The younger wondered for a moment.

"It is strange but the coins would be nice. We can probably be able to do something nice like get ice cream together or do other fun activities."

Kagami glared, only to sigh even as Jovie was smiling with what she just answered with. Though she did wonder what this thing of interest that attracted the merchant's attention?

"Ice cream?! WHAT?! Earth to Jovie, be real here! I'm saying this smells of STRANGER DANGER!"

Jovie crossed her arms as she took sometime to respond before she realized what Kagami told her and felt guilty. The talk about stranger danger reminded her of what her father taught her and in a sense, maybe she was too eager.

Before long, Jovie lowered her head.

"Umm, Jovie doesn't smell anything but big sis is right. Jovie is sorry."

Kagami facepalmed but atleast Jovie understands as she would remove her hand from her face, sighing.

"FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, IT'S A METAPHOR. Argh! Whatever! Let's just scram and forget this ever happened."

Kagami's antics was drawing the attention of several people in the background but regardless, she didn't trust the merchant especially when she returned to looking at him. 

Despite the grey robes, she did see that the merchant had bespectacled glasses like they do, only more bigger and slightly different, and if memory serves her, she remembered what she saw in the WANTED posters back in the early days when she was in the Beanbean Kingdom before she decided to run away and hit the street life.

Though..that couldn't possibly be..? 

As Kagami would walk the opposite way, it wouldn't be long before Jovie would look back to the merchant and given her stance, something didn't sit well with her and she felt like she should apologize for her elder sister's rudeness.

Eventually, she decided to carefully slip away from Kagami's grip and hurried towards the other, leaving behind one of her bracelets in her sister's hands.

"Jovie is sorry about big sis. We came here recently and big sis has been a big grumpy.."

Of course, it took Kagami awhile to return to reality after wondering what was going on only to notice that Jovie was gone from her grasp, resulting in her to slightly panic even as she was shocked.

In fact, she had only her bracelet when she had checked in her hand, prompting the other to look around her surroundings, thinking she might had gotten snagged while she wasn't looking.

"Hey! Jovie! Where are-"

Jovie turned around towards Kagami.

"Over here big sis!"

Kagami noticed what was going on and sighed before she walked back over with a smirk.

"Why ya little sneak and here I thought you're too nice to stoop so low and slip by just like that after ya just apologized to me."

"Sorry but Jovie had to apologize to mysterious merchant person as well."

"Why are you apologizing to some merchant? Ya didn't do anything wrong to'em."

Kagami found this is ridiculous as her tone was annoyed and she was shaking her head.

"Sometimes I don't get ya Jovie. I REALLY don't."

Before long, Kagami rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms while she looked back to the merchant.

"Anyways, quick question, what's this thing of interest ya talkin' about if ya don't mind me askin'?"

As the two girls step forward. Fawful gets a better look at Kagami's amulet. And then begins to realize that's where the dark power is emanating from. Yet it seemed that Kagami was too distrusting of Fawful and she was trying to get away. This made Fawful antsy. When Jovie mentioned ice cream he tried to sweeten the deal.

"Yes delicious ice cream of frozenness, you can get all that and more if you just-"

Unfortunately, Kagami had enough of this and was beginning to leave. And took Jovie along with him. Fawful was disappointed by this he really wanted to know what was up with that amulet as he turned around he heard Jovie come to apologize to him.

"Do not be having the worrying of me, your may be sister is as salty as the fast food french fries she does not realize that power that she is holding," Fawful said.

Luckily Kagami came back for Jovie, and asked about what Fawful wanted. This was his big chance.

"Why for that lovely sparkling amulet, of course, I will be having of it for 1000 coins! If you are willing to do the haggling and the bartering I have fineness with that. There is just something special about that amulet that I must be having the owning of it. I have chortles just thinking about studying that marvelous trinket!" Fawful said.

He hopes that they will take the deal. 1000 coins is a lot, especially for something like a piece of jewelry. Fawful just hopes that Kagami doesn't have any sentiment attachments to it.

Jovie wasn't sure about the power that the merchant was talking about but she did felt something from Kagami that did worry her, however, Kagami had that look in her eye especially when it involved the magically ominous yet brilliant violet-indigo star-cut gem amulet that is the Indigo Starshard.

She swore that she had it hidden though, but then again, she did take it out to show Jovie when they arrived here a time ago before they entered the Life Sphere, but forgot to put it away.

However, as Kagami was looking closer to the merchant, it wouldn't be long before she smirked.

"Ya know, unless I'm hallucinating and having a trippy dream or somethin', I know EXACTLY who you are by those glasses alone, but I'll tell ya what, I'll give you slack just because I'm feelin' generous."

Kagami added with a shrug. "Ya know, just to make up for my earlier rudeness."

Even though that is the case, she was only interested for her own benefit and that meant playing in the hand of someone else as much she isn't a fan.

Jovie nodded, "As far as Jovie knows, they've been the only nice person."

"Let me finish." Kagami looked back at Jovie, sighing before she glanced back at the merchant,"Anyways, about this, it ain't up for sale, but it isn't everyday I'd come across someone who is remotely interested in magical artifacts."

Maybe she could think of something especially in terms of the fact that this could be a chance to grab some new information for use later.

"However I'm not opposed for an information exchange though, so if I let you borrow this for study, you have to allow me and Jovie hang around as well."

"Yay! New friend!" Jovie added cheerfully.

Kagami looked back at Jovie with an annoyed look. "For crying out, JOVIE, can ya stop skipping to conclusions?"

"Oh right! Jovie is sorry." The younger sibling blushed out of embarrassment as she lowered her head with her arms crossed behind her back.

Kagami looked back to the merchant. "So what is it?"

It seemed that Fawful was recognized after all just from his iconic glasses. It's not his fault these are the only prescription that works for him. He then pulls his cloak and rips it off to reveal his red and gold robes. As he been chuckling.

"I have chortles, Fawful didn't realize he became that famous back home. Fawful had worryness that Fawful wasn't remembered after his game overed." Fawful said.

He then puts a hand to his forehead dramatically.

"Alas it is a tragic tale, Fawful desired the power and conquering of the Mushroom Kingdom and Fawful paid the price with his life, but Fawful found himself here. Fawful now makes a living as a merchant and is making a change in his life and taking the advice of that annoying yellow ball finkrat. Like a sour lemon being juiced into sweet lemonade." Fawful explained.

Fawful then listens to Jovie and Kagami, it seems that Kagami is letting Fawful borrow her amulet in exchange for letting them keep an eye on him. It could be tricky trying to take the power for himself with them breathing down his neck. Though he can probably find a way though at the very least he can find out if his hunch is right or not about the amulet having Dark Star power in it.

"Fawful accepts these terms and Fawful will be giving his own information in exchange as a part of the payment. Fawful has the foreboding feeling of darkness within that amulet. Perhaps it once belonged to Fawful's former mistress Cackletta or some other baddie. Fawful is willing to help with the removal of the curse through Fawful's science. Though it will probably take Fawful a while. If you plan to stay close to me you will have to be staying with Fawful in his shop," Fawful said.

However, there was one more thing that needed to be addressed.

"Of course, Fawful can't forget other rudeness of little bean girl, Fawful know's Jovie's name, but Fawful has no knowing of yours. Will you share with Fawful?" he said.

Kagami's brief hunch was right, though, to think that he has been here this entire time.

However, even though with the ordeal of Fawful & Cackletta, those two names had haunted Kagami for years and it would be a lie if Jovie wasn't surprised about actually seeing Fawful for the first time.

Jovie was wandering a bit closer to Fawful but enough to keep enough distance. She can't help but to be curious while Kagami was subtly impressed at the cloak two-in-one getup.

It was very clever but not enough to throw off her lead.

After all, he was the only one individual in the Beanbean Kingdom that would have those sort of distinctive glasses..well, unless she missed other people.

"Yeah, you really did leave a mark that it's in the History books among other events, I've checked. People didn't forget though.. we should really take this discussion elsewhere."

Kagami had no personal issue with the criminal Beanish duo as much as the other Beanish did, even if she did suppress the psychological trauma from her childhood to focus on her own capabilities, while Jovie had heard the news of what happened in the Mushroom Kingdom and the others, even in a place as remote as Isle Delfino.

In fact, she doesn't even seem to be tuned into what was going on in the happenings of the Kingdoms and other bad things because she was focusing on her own life.. well, with her dad, school and family life.

Kagami nodded. "The name's Kagami, nice to meetcha."

"Jovie agrees!" Jovie nodded before the younger asked,"Um, excuse Jovie for asking Mister Fawful, but where is the shop?"

Fawful was happy to know that he made such a mark in the Beanbean Kingdom. It's hard to tell though from looking as he's always smiling. Though he is glad to know he wasn't just forgotten. With introductions out of the way, it is finally time.

"The pleasure is Fawful's Kagami, and if you are having the wondering where Fawful's shop is Fawful shall lead you there. Though Fawful had to put his shop in a rather sketchiness part of town. Since all of the other shops were taken. Stay close to Fawful and Fawful promises no harm will come to you two," Fawful said.

Fawful then begins leading the two out of Rainbow Square and towards the Black Market. Where various baddies such as Bowser and his crew usually gather away from the prying eyes of the heroes. Unlike most of Fawful's lies, he wasn't kidding about the place's sketchiness. However if he does protect them it would only be out of necessity due to their usefulness to him at the moment. At least he has someone to help around the shop and run it while he's off on missions now.

"Gotcha, now Jovie, you stay close this time, no runnin' off. Understand?" Kagami asked as Jovie nodded,"Yes! Jovie will stay very close especially since Mister Fawful said so."

As they would follow after Fawful, Kagami would give Jovie back her missing bracelet.

"Here, ya kinda forgot this when you gave the slip." 

"Oh! Thank you big sis. Jovie was wondering where that was at." 

Jovie didn't want to lose anything that is of importance to her though to be honest, the entire sketchiness ordeal, she was nervous, but Kagami wasn't. After all, she knew how the street life is and if anything or anyone that would cause issues for the group, she would undoubtedly back Fawful up.

In fact, the older of the two would hold hands with Jovie to ensure that she stays close to the group as they would all move onto the next area of the Life Sphere.

However, Kagami still had distrust of Fawful given his sketchy background, just hope there is something with the amulet that had something of a strong enough magical failsafe to prevent Fawful from getting that dark energy or she may had made him that much more powerful.

She knew that this was a huge risk especially when she had history with it since she was young, but sometimes, risks had to be made, and the consequences are a gamble.
