Appearance:
(In the picture above, Kagami is on the left; Jovie is on the right.)
Home Planet/Origin: Mushroom World (Beanbean Kingdom)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (moreso due to Kagami’s influence)
Motto:
“Truths, ideals, everyone is fighting over something, regardless of what side they're on. Sheesh! I mean, what else is new? It almost feels like everyone has lost it in the head!”
"Even if things are bad, Jovie believes there is always a bright side. Just wait and see!"
Allies/Friends: Individuals that treat the sisters well (depends on the sister)
Enemies/Rivals: Authority (Kagami only; she isn't a fan of being told what to do even though Jovie tries to keep things stable), adults (mostly w/ Kagami due to bad experiences), individuals that treat the sisters badly (depends on the sister)
Backstory (Kagami): The eldest of the sisters, Kagami, was an orphan that was abandoned at a young age by her mother and as a result, she was found and has since resided in an orphanage. However, the only thing left of this was of the strange pendant that Kagami had around her neck to which she would always hide it away from sight.
Growing up, she was a quiet and mostly withdrawn individual that had a rough upbringing in terms of her caregivers especially when she was often known to run away to escape the place multiple times to find her mother but would be stopped.
When the Fawful & Cackletta conflict had caused chaos in the Beanbean Kingdom, the orphanage had to be in lockdown and was protected as the nearby Beanbean Castle was devastated to which Kagami had witnessed from a nearby room to which she had a glimpse of the flying Koopa Castle. The reality was that had negatively affected her and even though in the end when the attacks stopped, the memory stuck to her and the trauma resulted into the girl needing to protect herself.
In due time, Kagami’s research has led her to an increase of strange activity within the orphanage that people started to notice over time, reports of this would be heard as it would be freaking out the other children and the caregivers.
Though, thanks to a small group of several of the children, they would find out that the strange activity was in relation to Kagami.
At first, they were curious about her powers until one day, one of the children told the caregivers about Kagami’s situation, they didn’t believe it and dismissed it, but it didn’t last long as when one of the kids bullied Kagami to prove a point, her powers were exposed in a fit of anger, which caused the caregiver to take the kids away.
From that day on, she developed resentment towards both the caregivers and those involved who provoked her, shutting herself out from them, refusing to talk to them unless it was met with hostility.
Even during some instances of bullying, she stood up and fought back in an attempt to prove that she wasn’t a pushover; though it would only land herself into trouble more than once.
Years later, Kagami was feared because of her powers, even to the point when people would avoid adopting her once they found out and so she felt trapped with a growing jealousy, however, she still kept to her studies, neglecting schoolwork and struggling.
In defiance, she had run off, never to return and nobody knew where she truly went.
While she was on a journey of her own, she picked up on her own experiences and adapted outside the walls of the orphanage if not also causing some trouble for the mere fun of it. All the while visiting Boo Houses, among other things, had assisted her realize new experiences with her powers, despite circumstances.
She became something of a juvenile delinquent given her situation but she kept going regardless.
Backstory (Jovie): The younger sibling of the sisters, Jovie, has been raised by her father who had been well accustomed to the islander life of Isle Delfino. At a young age of two, Jovie’s mother has left the family as the couple had a divorce with one another, though despite the issue, the father was determined to keep Jovie happy.
On the island, Jovie’s father worked various jobs around the community, but when he could, he made time for Jovie afterwork or on off days, often taking her to the oceanfront among other activities. However, even so, the home was usually empty and Jovie had to learn how to take responsibility, usually after school that is, but regardless, she would go around and seek if there needs to be something done especially since her father had taught her some important things.
In terms of school work, she was noted as behind the other children to an extent, which did prompt bullying among her peers, often resulting in her being hard on herself but she would be encouraged by her father as well as the school teachers to try her best.
Despite Jovie’s age, she is notable as being cheerful and mature for her age but is often seen as idealistic and naive. Her mother leaving the family has left a negative impact in her life, resulting in the girl becoming codependent to an extent, extending into her being doubtful.
What shines the brightest is Jovie’s positive nature she uses to encourage others even if distressed, nearly breaking down into tears. Namely with the fact that she knew her father would tell her to keep going despite things going on. Everything was well for a time but it was during one day during a horrible storm, school let out early and she was picked up to be at the house with a neighbor watching over her..
..only for the fact that he hasn't returned since, leaving her as an orphan.
History On Li:
Despite the unusual circumstances of being brought into another world with a mysterious portal, the two sisters found each other on Li.
In their unexpected reunion, Kagami has doubts about trusting if Jovie is her actual sister while Jovie did her best to be of a good influence.
Sometimes the sisters argue with one another but Jovie brings up that they would have to work together even if Kagami is not fond of the idea, however given their chances with what is going on, she allowed the younger Beanish to stay around.
After all, Kagami felt a responsibility had been instilled on her shoulders.
While Jovie comes off as encouraging, Kagami keeps things grounded even if things are rough, but given Kagami’s ideals, she decides to have a little fun, even if it does also get Jovie into a world of trouble in turn, as the duo quickly arrived inside the Life Sphere.
Primary Attacks: Kagami (3)

- Future Potential - : WIP, may be for story progression only.
Final Smash: Jovie
N/A; TBD. (1)
Other Info: Jovie and Kagami have the same mother despite of different fathers so yes, they are sisters. However, Kagami never knew of her father, just her mother, while Jovie knew of her own father despite knowing little of her mother.
Despite of other circumstances going on around her, Kagami harbors a grudge against her mother for abandoning her at a young age, while Jovie is sympathetic as she doesn't know much of her mother.
Kagami's pendant harbors a dark essence (akin to dark magic) to which has Jovie unnerved & while Kagami is aware of her sister's nervousness, she has accepted that it's a part of her calling given her stance.
Out of the two, Jovie is easily the most friendly and would love to make new friends while it takes awhile for Kagami to open up to the concept due to her rough past.
It's obvious that Kagami has an interest with the paranormal, magic and the likes while Jovie enjoys exploring, looking at nature (the ocean holds a special place in her heart; she loves the ocean), arts & crafts, alongside with the more home-y interests.
