History On Li:
Defeated. Vaati, formerly a Picori who was corrupted by the sight of what cruel things Hylians can do to be powerful, was defeated by the hero Link...defeated and persumed dead. However years later he re-emerges as a beast of pure blackness, with control of not only the wind but also absolutely no memory of his previous life. So Vaati tried to use his powers to not only terrorise Hyrule but also kidnap Maidens to possibly be his wives, since he has developed a somewhat lust towards women, only to be sealed in the Four Sword. Many years has passed and eventually Vaati was unleashed - as the creature of darkness - upon the land of Hyrule again, this time being more merciless with his attempts to get the women he wants, even trying to forcefully convert Princess Zelda into darkness and forcing the heroes to fight their own father to proceed. This form is practically invincible as the dark mirror supplies Vaati with not only infinate dark energy but also renders him immortal...yet little did he expect Dark Link, who Vaati tries to push around with his original fear of light, to betray him and shatter the mirror, thus killing Vaati.
Or so it seems as Vaati found himself waking up on a piece of Hyrule Field in the form of a rather pale Hylian. Believing at first that he has been reborn to reconquer Hyrule, Vaati got up only to see a wreckage of land. This was nothing like the Hyrule that he wanted to terriorise and conquer. Instead the land as broken and a poisonous fog pollutes the air that the male tries to breath, since his body needs air to live. So the Wind Mage first used his power over wind to try to blow the poison, only to realise that this only temporary cleans a tiny bit of air for him and that his efforts have only tired him out a bit, thus making his body weakerto the poison. So, in a desperate effort to escape the poison, Vaati turned into a small bat and, reluctantly, abandon Hyrule in an attempt to fly off to a safe area. With each flap his magic was draining away and the poison was feeling stronger yet the wind mage managed to barely find this one, almost shelled, area and practically dived straight into it. However, with his strength gone, Vaati crashed instead of landed, leading everything he sees into black. After a while the wind mage finally woke up...
...only find that he has completely lost his memory of who he was before arriving at Life Sphere, well except for his name and powers.
After a couple of weeks of doing what felt weirdly natural to him - using his powers to steal food, drinks and money - Vaati came across a poster of some kind with an image of Link on it. Even though he can't remember his time at Hyrule, something about seeing Link's face made the wind mage's blood boil. It didn't take long for the pale male to come to the conclusion that Link is an enemy from his past as Vaati finally decided on his three goals while he is at Life Sphere. The first of which is to somehow remove the poison from his home of Hyrule. The second is to recover his lost memories. And the third, if they can't remove the Starvia, is to take over the Life Sphere itself...and the wind mage isn't afraid to work with other people, or even manipulate a few, to get what he wants.
Though success isn't something Vaati has really tasted as he he once founds himself facing off against Marth in Sunshine Stadium with Lt. Surge as the guest referee for their non-lethal fight...and lost. Refusing to admit his own shortcomings Vaati instead blames Surge's dodgy officiating and decides to set up his Plan to either DEFEAT LINK or WORLD DOMINATION (P.t.e.D.L.o.W.D.) plot. Though during that failing battle he was extremely intrigued by how his electric attack had no effect on Surge's Electivire...so he did research a little about Pokemon, stole a couple pokeballs and used them to capture two Pokemon (a Nidoran ♂ and Nidoran ♀ called Nino & Nina respectively) to successfully complete Stage One of his 'well thought out' plot.
Years have passed that stage one and there has not been any sign of any improvement since...but Vaati is still determined to accomplish his plan, whichever one it is!
Primary Attacks (3)
Vaati simply backhand slaps the opponent: [3 - 8 %]
Vaati swings his right hand out before curling it back in, causing the tip of his cape - which is as sharp as proper swords - to swing round and hit the opponent: [12 %]
His right hand gets embedded with blue energy and Vaati shoots his hand up in the air to knock the opponent above flying (like Zelda's upward smash but with a straight palm right instead of a circling motion): [18 %]
Special Attacks (3)
Electric Pulse; A blue energy ball, wrapped around by electricity, emerges at the palm of Vaati's hand and the wind mage simply throws it towards the opponent, shocking them upon impact. It is similar to Lucario's standard B move in that it goes in a straight line and while the damage it posses does not rely on how damaged Vaati is, it is possible for the wind mage to charge it up at the cost of an action: [10 (uncharged) - 20 (fully charged) %]
Dark Pulse; Vaati swings his left hand out, causing his cape to swing outward and shooting out a curved black beam. While it physically looks like a boomerang, this attack does not return to him at all as it explodes upon impact. Regardless of hitting or not Vaati will need time to regather his energy (two posts) before attempting the move again: [15 - 25 %]
Tornado; Showing off what makes him a wind mage, Vaati points at a certain direction and a small tornado, between six and eight feet tall, launches out and travels across the stage. The people hit will be lifted up in the air and trapped in the tornado as it damages them until the hurricane disintegrates near the edge of the stage. However not only can people double-jump over this tornado, Vaati can't use it frequently (like once every post) or else each newer tornado would be smaller and weaker than the last (lowering by 10 % each time until giving himself three turns to cool down): [30 - 10 %]
Final Smash
Vaati's Wrath; Vaati gathers the dark energy in his body and uses it to transform himself into the full version of his minor bat transformation...
...and his form replaces the background as at the far left and right are each replaced by a big claw, which start swinging, slashing and flailing about on the stage. Getting hit by either the claw will cause 30% damage at each connection. However in the background Vaati's eye will charge up and on the third turn of this attack he will fire a massive laser beam. Getting hit by this channeling blast will do anything 50% damage.
However, due to the amount of dark energy needed to go into this form let alone maintain it, this attack does have a time limit of three turns (one similar to the limit of Fox's final smash) before being forced to turn back into his Hylian form.
Other Info:
-Even though a villain, and appears to be willing to work with people to help himself, Vaati will never trust anybody with his life.
-Even though he desires Hyrule to be saved, and well as desiring the chance to defeat or even kill Link, Vaati equally desires for a lover.
-During his time in Li he has managed to capture two Pokemon to be his minions.
-Vaati's sheer lack of knowledge/skill/talent as a Pokemon trainer is very obvious however as, though been together for years, Nino and Nina has not once evolved, nor shown much battling prowess (can use moves in scenes and RP stuff but not actual battles/fights)...to a point where the pair would often play cheerleader whenever their 'Boss' is in battle.
-Though never one to openly admit it Vaati does seem to genuinely care for Nino and Nina and view them almost as if his family.
-He does have a Bat Form where he basically transforms himself into a one-eyed bat with the purpose of fast & stealthy movement as who'd would take notice of a bat? The moment he, in bat form, steps onto the floor Vaati will turn back to his Hylian form.
