Yeah, didja miss this Mama Mia?  Joke's on you, because he may or may not have another thread in the works after this one.

In any case, Axel's got a lot of practice that he's been missing out on - and given that he's not exactly a stellar Keyblade wielder to begin with, that's not a good thing.  So Axel's back out, clutching his Keyblade as he gives a stretch.  "Alright, anyone want a piece of me?  Come get some!"

There was a small spell of silence that coursed through the stadium after Axel spoke, not long before being greeted with a blonde blur that rushed through the arena with great agility and adept acrobatics, which seems to have landed as a blonde boy in a green hoodie and somewhat large boots. He performs a graceful twirl, before getting on one knee and pointing his gloved thumb powerfully towards himself. "And that... would be me!" He cheerily and dramatically greets with a contagious spell of glee. "I might not be the best, but I'm an ace when it comes to speed and confusion! Let's have fun, 'kay?" He chimes, dusting off his knee and assuming a very flexible position. He has a very careful gaze on Axel, but his eyes are big and lulling, so he doesn't look terrifying.

"You and me both, there, slugger." Weakest member of the Guardians of Light here, but that's neither here nor there.  "Well, from one 'not the best' to the next, give me a good time, would you?"  In a surge of flame in his hand, a fire-themed Keyblade appears in Axel's hand, and he regards Corii with a smug smile.

"Let's get this rolling - BURN, BABY!" Fire swirls around his body, raising into an inferno, before dropping from his body and burning the very ground beneath the combatants' feet, making the ground definitely very hot to the touch and turning up the heat - making everything just a little more flammable.

(Scorched Earth - Grants Axel WIS +2 and DEX +2, and increases the potency of Flames on all attacks by 2%.)

With another wave of his hands, his Keyblade suddenly and swiftly breaks apart into weapons that Axel's much more familiar with - two Chakrams, which cloak themselves in flames as Axel empowers them, and then gives them a throw straight towards Corii... or so it'd seem.  As they approached, they'd dip towards the ground, etching out a circle around Corii's feet in an attempt to spring up fire at him - it's a trap!

Axel's Chakrams reappear in his hand after his attempt to trap Corii, whether it succeeds or not, and in a flash, they reappear as his Keyblade, which, likewise, cloaks itself in fire as he throws it straight towards Corii, for realzies this time, giving it a good spin as it shoots towards him.

(Eternal Flames - Axel's attacks have a Flames value associated with them, and enemies struck by Axel's attacks take Damage over Time at the end of their turn based on this value. Additional attacks will increase the Damage over Time active on an opponent and reset the duration of the Damage over Time. Axel's Damage over Time lasts for three turns, and heals reduce Flames equal to the amount of HP restored.



Axel's fire, courtesy of being really hot, tends to interfere with a combatants ability to fight correctly. For every 5% Flames inflicted on a target, their attacks do 1% less damage to a minimum of 1%, and for every 20% Flames cumulatively to all combatants, Axel receives a +1 to all attack rolls and dodge rolls.)

"Sounds good to me! Let's get this going!" Corii replies cheerily. That smirk definitely had him a little bit. Oh, the heat... Corii wipes the sweat off his forehead as the flames surge through the stadium. Corii notices a flying chakram dip into the ground and prefers not to become roasted boy, making his attempt to dodge by bounding away using his footwork.

Corii is caught whirling in the spew of fire that erupted from beneath him as he tried to lunge away, and he lets out a pained shout in response, wildly flapping his arms. He's definitely been bound by fire... "Gyaaaaah! Owowow..." Corii cries out, as he's hit by just about everything.

Having stomached the attack, Corii is ready to retaliate. He first starts nice and easily by drawing upon a strange power. Miming a pull from his back pocket, he produces a random vegetable...

And pulls out a metallic red tomato! He holds onto that for now. Or, maybe not, given he's pretty stuck. He throws that, taking his action!

For Corii's second action, he insists on this- a strange root. He tries to throw it at Axel to plant it into him. Looks pretty, but not on your skin. Corii seems to like this one. As he throws the root, it seems to sprout a little more, as if anticipating success.

[Binding Root (5-turn cooldown, light damage, DEX-based dodge): 5% damage, afflicts two stacks of Flower Status. Corii heals off any damage caused by this status as long as he is the one who inflicts this.]

Corii's stuck for his third action. He's going to try something adorable! He gently wipes over his face and puts on a pretty act in an attempt to disarm Axel into something more vulnerable and definitely something more scrappable by his needs.

So far, so good.  The guy's bound, and Axel just needs to keep laying into him - is that a tomato?  What?  Made of metal?  Why?  What's the purpose?

...Oh, he probably needs to deal with that.  Axel doesn't particularly want a big-ass metal tomato bonking against his skull, thank you very much.

(Bubble Shield - 0%.)

Fortunately, Axel's trust bubble shield does the trick, the tomato bouncing off of it harmlessly.  But unfortunately, Corii had plenty more left to chuck in his general direction.

And finally, Corii tries to hit Axel with the seduction strats - not today, hopefully, given that Nat 1.

And with all of that dealt with, it's Axel's turn.  First of all, he really can't have Corii escaping from that bind that Axel has him in.  So, he attempts to reinforce it with a bit more fire magic to keep the kid from escaping.

He gives a grimace - didn't feel the best.  Hopefully that would hold steady, but he wasn't holding his breath on that one.  But really, there's nothing else for it - Axel sets his Keyblade aflame once again, and throws it at Corii, it spinning through the air at Corii.

Corii's not gonna sit this one out! He's going to take the opportunity to escape Axel's disembodied grasp upon him by squirming wildly with his entire body. "Get me outta here! Ungh!" Corii whines, as he makes his best effort to make getting out as swift as possible.

And with that, Corii managed to escape the grapple, bounding to the side. He briefly cheers for himself, sighing. Next thing's next- Corii's got two chucks of the chakram to chuck himself away from!

Corii decides to bubble shield one of the hits to keep himself going for longer. "Nice technique!" Corii complements, brushing some soot off his arm. He's still a bit on edge from the flames, but he'll have to manage, despite his waning damage.

Corii's turn! First thing's first. He places his hands upon the ground and summons a vegetable.

Corii summons a Semi-Automatic Peapod! A mean green firing machine.
He sets the peapod down on the ground for his first action to set it up, giving it a light pat to let it face Axel.

The peapod begins firing at Axel. Peas are delicious but these are malicious...

For his second action, Corii lunges at Axel head-first immediately after with an Iron Head attack, moving at an angle to try and catch Axel off.

Corii does something special for his third action! Corii decides to wildly spin around to hit Axel. The rate of spin is fast, but is the control great enough to give Axel a whirl for his balance?
