[Princess Zelda of Hyrule (TP)]

The situation is dire. With no idea where the divine spark was lost during the battle with Dharkon, adventurers, heroes, villains, and opportunists alike have taken to the Emerald Coast to search. You find yourselves among them for one reason or another. Perhaps you seek to take it for yourself and gain divine powers. Perhaps you need it to pay off an insurmountable debt. Or perhaps you recognize the folly of entrusting such power to any one hand, and you seek to prevent anyone from ever holding it again. One thing is for sure, powerful players have been attracted and they won't be content to let you run off with it if you find it first.

Midna, Groose, Zelda (TAOL) and Zelda (SS), you have all been telepathically called here by Twilight Princess Zelda under the pretense that she is 90% confident the King of Evil, Ganondorf, would not miss an opportunity to seize godhood for himself. And she is aware of his presence on Li. In simple terms, she has asked her relatives, those she is aware of anyway, to assist her in at the very least making sure it doesn't fall into the hands of evil if they can help it. You would then have received a second message letting you know that she believes she has tracked the demon king down to an old, abandoned factory. She is currently waiting, clad in her black cloak obscuring most of her features, for allies to arrive before she moves in to investigate.

For the rest of you, Grey and Spirit Tracks Zelda, you have not been contacted and your presence is probably related to the search at large. Or perhaps you noticed the strangers around and decided to investage that. Either way, please establish your presence here. You do not need to be doing anything specific. You just have to be in the area.

The factory itself is massive and old-fashioned. One can observe a few multi-colored puyos lingering around the area, hopping about aimlessly. They don't particularly seem to be threats by the looks of them.

[Mr. Game & Watch]

Upon first hearing the news of the God essence rumoured to be lost in the Emerald Coast, Zelda thought to herself that something of that magnitude was a bit out of her wheelhouse. It was a looming threat for certain, but the Life Sphere had many powerful heroes and champions that would make sure that such things would stay out of the hands of those more nefarious. Why then was she rushing to get herself geared up and out the door? Well, she received a telepathic message from the other brunette Zelda, a rather grave one indeed. Naturally, of course, given who the messenger was.

She took to the steps leading away from her apartment, recounting to herself how surprised she was to hear from the Twilight Princess. After their last encounter she thought that things between them had become a bit… awkward. Not only because of the fact that she was still trying to wrap her head about the whole wibbly wobbly time displaced ancestors, but also that the Hyrule Kingdom had fallen during the time of her rule, ending the linage of Hyrule. Was that something she could just overlook?

Regardless, it mattered little if Zelda thought herself ready for the challenge ahead. If Ganon was after the God essence, then that meant it was all hands on deck. They were going to need as much of Hylia’s power as possible if they were going to seal away that pig demon once more.

As she reached the Life Sphere’s gates, a green aura surrounded her hands. The wind around her began to pick up, her face becoming determined yet uneasy. In a flash, she disappeared into the light, wisping away along the winds.

Much further away in the span of a few minutes, the colourful winds materialized again once more. The light spat out a dizzy looking Zelda that crashed into a nearby bush. Rolling her head forward and rubbing her eyes, Zelda would find herself exactly where her descendant had directed her to go. A metallic forest surrounding the base of an old abandoned factory. Not exactly the type of place she had heard the demon king dwell about in legends, but she supposed anything was possible on this planet.

Relinquishing herself from the bush, Zelda approached the hooded figure, pulling twigs out of her hair as she did so. She stopped a couple meters away from the other Zelda, hastily brushing her garments clean and making herself look presentable. With that settled, she cleared her throat and stepped forward. “So, Ganon’s inside there then?” she questioned, gesturing to the strange factory.

[Spirit Tracks Zelda]

Drifting across through the air, a wayward ghost princess was on the hunt. She reasoned that if she could get ahold of a divine essence, or at least ask for a favor from whoever did get it, maybe that could be her ticket to getting her body back! One problem though. She wasn't sure where to search! She had kind of hoped it would be glowing brightly and visible from a great distance, perhaps with a colorful trail of light stretching into the sky? Oh well. She did manage to find other people though. Uninfected, by the looks of it. One of them looked kind of spooky and intimidating, but the other... Ooh! What a beautiful dress! Nobody who dressed like that was scary. She decided to float over and introduce herself, hovering just above the ground as if imitating standing. She was wearing the same new hyrulian dress she'd been wearing when she was turned into a ghost.

"...Excuse me! Uh--Hi. ...I like your dress." Spirit Zelda meekly greeted. "I was searching for the divine essence people are saying is out here. Were you about to search that spooky old factory?"

As Zelda approached the old factory, her shadow, cast on the ground by what little sunlight could reach through the clouded sky, rippled curiously, before the shape of a little imp rose from the darkness. Midna had been hiding in Zelda's shadow since they'd left the Life Sphere, just so she didn't attract any more attention then absolutely necessary. Now, however, was no time to hide. Zelda had received word that the an old foe had re-emerged, and they were after the divine spark, the same as everyone else. Midna looked up at the old factory, then looked back to Zelda with a nervous look on her face before grasping Zelda's hand in her own. Never before had she wished that Link were here. If anyone could take down the Demon King, it was him. But, here Link was not, so they had to make do.  As the other two Zeldas approached, Midna looked them up and down, mentally evaluating them. If nothing else, they were Zeldas, and that was a boon no matter how well they fought. "This is the place" Midna answered both their questions. "We just have to wait for everyone else to show up before we can get moving."

Grey had been isolated for too long, if you asked him. He had only just heard word of something as dangerous as a Divine Spark flying around. If the wrong person got their hands on it... No. He didn't even want to imagine it. And frankly, he didn't know who he would trust with it... So quietly, without any word to Ciel, or any of the rest of his adoptive family, Grey had snuck away... With one goal. Destroy the Divine Spark. Before something went horribly wrong. There was just one... Tiny issue. He had no idea where to look. So here he was, Megamerged and wandering toward the factory with quiet trepidation, as he held his Busters in hand. ... And noticed a... Very large gathering of people. They all looked... Similar, and yet, different, for the most part. If he ignored the imp thing, anyway. Which... Left a bit of a pit in his gut. Why were there so many people gathering in this factory?

Only one way to find out. Quietly, he entered from behind the last person to enter, and listened in. Ganon? He didn't know who that was... They were all being quiet. ... And staying quiet himself would probably bite him in the but later, from what he learned. Hopefully this didn't backfire... But quietly, the young Reploid spoke up, as he stowed his Busters on his hips. He didn't want to seem like a threat for no reason... Not if in the end these people all had good intentions anyway. ... Hopefully.

"Uh, excuse me? Who... Are you girls? Why are you all gathering in this dusty old factory?"

Through a parting in the dirty clouds circling above the Contravened Factory, the majestic flaps of two large beards could be heard before the majestic Loftwings themselves could be seen. On the one with luscious lavender feathers, a blond rider sat, eyes focused on scanning the land below.

“Are you sure this is the way?” Gliding behind came a charcoal Loftwing with a prominent pompadour of feathers flapping in the face of its rider with an even more slick red pompadour flapping in the breeze.
“I’m positive. We’re getting close in fact.” The lavender Loftwing’s rider answered without making contact. “My psychic connection with my descendants detects they’re convening right around--Down there!” She abruptly pointed at the entrance to the factory. With the fearlessness of the most insane dear devil, the maiden proceeded to leap from the back of her bird into a freefall.

“Hut! Heheh!” Not to be out done, the bird rider behind her crossed his arms, loosened his legs grip on his Loftwing’s saddle and did the same, whipping back into a freefall in which he backwards somersaulted twice and struck a muscular pose in mid-air before forwards somersaulting intent to land on his feet in a very macho manner. “Huweaouh-DOOH!” He did not succeed.

“Oh dear…” Floating daintly to soon land beside him, the earlier jumper’s descent was made safer by use of her Sailcloth as a parachute. “Groose? Are you okay?” She hesitantly asked, kneeling down to inspect the face-down skydiver.
“I-hack-I meant to do that~!” He immediately jumped to his feet, seemingly no worse for wear. “Hows my hair?” He seemed singularly concerned with a single issue he promptly dealt with.

“Zelda, Midna, Zelda, Gray, Zelda.” Zelda greeted them in a line, doing her best to suppress the impulse to giggle at the name the four of them shared. “It is good to see you again, Daughters of Hylia.” She regally curtseyed despite being the only one among them not officially a princess.

“Hey little ladies~, and uh, gentleman.” Groose zipped around Zelda to get an eyeful of their namesakes while giving them an eyeful of him. “Have no fear, the Great Groose is here to save you from the Divine Spark.”
“We’re not here to save anyone from the Divine Spark, Groose.” Zelda promptly corrected him with a stern finger pointing him to back off and listen. “We’re here to find and save the Divine Spark from falling in the hands of evil, remember?”
“I do now I mean-Yeah I knew that.” Groose’s smile went from sheepish to reassured to self assured in three blinks of an eye. “As I was saying have-no-fear-the-Great-Groose-is-here on a quest to find the Legendary Divine Spark and then protect it like a treasure buried in my chest from the dirty licentious grasp of those tempted by their dark desires seize it for their own! -The uh Divine Spark, I mean.” Zelda could only facepalm.

Zelda opened her mouth to speak, only to become distracted for a moment, her eyes darting over to Spirit Zelda once and then twice. ...The ghost girl she'd helped protect before. A reminder of who couldn't be saved. She silently wished she weren't here, knowing all too well that Ganon's magic would not be stopped by mere incorporeality. It would be rotten if she had to die twice, which she assumed lead to non-existance. Grey's presence was equally unexpected, but for other reasons. “Oh, hello...” she half-heartedly greeted, unsure if she should warn him to leave. She decided not to, on the grounds that she suspected she knew why he was out here. She does kind of pause to watch Groose's antics for a bit, but decides not to call him out for it. Instead, she just stays politely quiet and nods. Who was she to criticize others without exceptional purpose?

“...We're... family, and friends of family. Princess Zelda of the late kingdom of Hyrule” Zelda began to delicately explain, deciding not to go into too much detail about who exactly they were. “When my suspicions about the demon king's involvement in this hunt for godhood originally arose, I sought out a divinist and asked for their help scrying concentrated evil energies in the area. While there were quite an alarming amount of powerful figures of potent darkness moving about, the one we scryed here was also picked up by a second scrying attempt for the triforce. I believe them to be Ganon as a result, yes. And I believe it is our sacred duty to make sure his quest for godhood ends here. ...For the good of everyone.” Zelda solemnly explained, directing that last part at Grey, since she wasn't sure he'd have any understanding of the severity of the situation. She then addressed Grey more directly. “...If you'd like to stay and fight by our side, you would have my gratitude. But please do not feel obligated. Ganon is a terrible foe, and fighting him will be ... difficult, to say the least.” she finished somewhat apologetically.

“Regardless, we should proceed inward and attempt to find the Demon King while we still have the element of surprise. Everyone? Ready yourself.” Zelda lightly commanded, carefully maneuvering to draw her bow underneath her cloak where it was still mostly hidden. She then began proceeding toward the doorway. After a few moments of drawing closer, however, a voice called out to her moments before a short figure stepped into view. “Hold it right there!”

“My my, we don't get visitors out here very often. I couldn't help but overhear the conversation you charming ladies were having. If it's an audience with her majesty you want, I'm sure she would be happy to oblige without any tricks or ambushes. In fact, she's just inside...”

Zelda stared in stunned disbelief. What in the world was this shady leprechaun babbling about?! She was half tempted to threaten him in response, as her initial suspicion was that he was attempting to mislead them. However... something about this wasn't right? Her majesty? She's just inside? That's... not how Ganon works! She thinks not, anyway. It made her hesitate. What if he really was just some random well-to-do that just happened to get mixed up in this? Threatening him or worse would create a situation where there was none. “Ahem! Your majesty, we have guests~!” Cole called out, as if he were merely introducing him. After he did this, he cast a cold, knowing stare in Spirit Zelda's direction accompanied by a fake smile. And from the darkness of the factory, two pairs of unnerving glowing eyes could be observed coming into view and drawing closer until a ... very familiar face emerged.

“ . . . ”

Before you all stood none other than Spirit Tracks Zelda... in the flesh. Or rather, Malladus, in her flesh. And her body wasn't looking so good. Once neatly groomed hair went uncleaned and unbrushed, becoming quite messy. Her eyes were sunken and bruised. They were also alight with demonic power, boring into anyone who dared meet her gaze with a powerful eeriness, never blinking. Her skin was deathly pale, almost lifeless in appearance. Malladus' evil power seemed to be sapping the very life out of her body and perverting it to fit the demon king's own ideals, as evidenced by the way her fingernails had begun transforming into hooked claws, cutting through the fingertips of her evening cloves and ruining them, though she still wore what was left on her arms. Her canines had likewise become considerably more pronounced, a fact which would only become evident once she started speaking.

But that wasn't all, because there was another set of glowing eyes tailing her. Stepping out from the shadows, one last person emerged to greet the group. It was... Link. Specifically, Twilight Princess Link. And he was glowing with a starvia aura, infected and obediently following behind Malladus. He grunted in displeasure upon stopping, his gaze shifting to Midna. It was a dead glare, almost seeming to accuse her of something. Though the idea that infected had the capacity to hold grudges against their former friends and love interests was dubious at best. TP Zelda was now petrified where she stood like a deer in headlights.

“...Your majesty, what would you like to do with them?” Cole asked, dropping some of his pleasantries in favor of a more direct question. Malladus gazed out across the assembled heroes, a persistent frown upon her face. “Kill them all.” she responded rather simply, again in Spirit Tracks Zelda's voice. Only it lacked the life of her ghost's voice, much like the rest of her body. It came off as cold and flat instead. “--And what of the former princess of New Hyrule? She's already dead.” Cole awkwardly asked. This drew Malladus' gaze back to ST Zelda, where it remained. “...Leave her to me. I think I'd enjoy dining on her soul tonight.”

Unease settled in Zelda’s stomach as she looked upon the dingy factory. As long as she had the other princesses along to aid her, it shouldn’t be so bad, after all, they were fabled to have helped seal the Demon King in their past encounters. At the sound of another’s voice though, Zelda turned to greet them, only to be faced with a spirit. She jumped back a little, not expecting to see the ghost of one of her ancestors standing before her, though, she supposed that made more sense than them somehow still being alive. “Oh- thanks” she answered unsteadily, not expecting to receive a compliment from a seemingly dead person. “Yours is also quite nice… you are fortunate to have had it follow with you into the afterlife.”

It seemed that their party would not be exclusively made up of the royal family though. A shadow imp emerged from beneath the grim Zelda’s cloak, followed by a robotic looking man who… just seemed to stumble upon them. The elder Zelda didn’t seem to hold any inhibitions toward him, so he seemed to be an ally to their cause. If they were going to fight the fabled Ganon, they were going to need all the help they could get.

Speaking of, more reinforcements arrived on the backs of two magnificent looking birds. Another Zelda, to which she greeted with a polite bow, and a dashing warrior who wasn’t afraid to take center stage. TAOL Zelda became starry eyed, enchanted by his showmanship and filtering out his doofy nature like white noise. “Well, it is an honour to make your acquaintance, Groose the Great” she stated without a hint of irony, clasping her hands together. “You must be a great warrior to be so willing to face the mighty Ganon.”

While she would have liked to continue the pleasantries between them, it seemed that duty called. A small man made his presence known. Though, considering that they were still gearing up their party, she could have easily mistaken him for their eighth member. But no, by the sound of it, he was the landlord around here, and quite the accommodating gentleman! Perhaps he would aid them in finding where the demon king was hiding.

But no, the leprechaun-like man merely hailed his master to come from the shadows, a set of unsettling eyes that revealed themselves to be owned by a grotesque version of the spirited Zelda that stood alongside them, a dishevelled mess. Well, it was a bit less terrifying than a giant pig demon, but that didn’t make it any less unsettling. The last of the trio would also step from the shadows, a boy in green that looked… strangely familiar to her. Like she had seen someone like him in her dreams before.

The order was cast though, they were to be sentenced to death. Well, not if Zelda had anything to say about it! The trio were still huddled up together, all in close proximity of each other, perfect for a little spell that a nefarious warlock had taught her. With renewed vigour, TOAL Zelda charged forth, cutting through the rest of her group, specifically to face the villainous three. “By Hylia’s Grace, I curse you with eternal slumber!” she called out as she shot her hands forth, the air above the trio being filled with glittering dust, as if they were being sprinkled by pollen from a tree.

Much to Zelda’s shock, the spell looked to be quite potent! Perhaps a bit too potent. Strange, the world was starting to feel a bit… hazy. Her eyelids fluttered for a few seconds before her head swung back, collapsing to the ground with a slight thud and a fluttering of her skirt.

Yeah, sleeping for eternity, been there, done that. While she was definitely out cold for a good second, she suddenly jolted back to the land of the wakened, though her position was a bit compromised. Being prone like she was would not bode well if any of the three woke up, so she hastily began to shuffle backwards, trying to get herself back onto her feet. Blindly, she thrust her arm out, sending a spark of Din’s Fire forward, incidentally aiming at the corrupted Link.

Spirit Zelda smiled warmly if not a bit timidly at the other princess, sensing her unease. She knew exactly why, but it wasn't something she was sure she could overcome. "Oh, ew ew ew..! I didn't even think about that!" she daintily commented, squirming in discomfort at the idea. "If I didn't have my clothes, I wouldn't be able to show my face anywhere!" she added with a nervous chuckle. And then it hit her and her brow furrowed slightly. "...Is that why you can't see other ghosts??" she curiously asked, shuddering at the idea of a bunch of nude spirits running around.  ...At least they were polite enough to hide their immodesty, she guessed. It did kind make her a little bit more afraid of ghosts, though.

She was briefly addressed by Grey. "...Mmmy name's Princess Zelda of New Hyrule. I'm not actually dead. I'm just... having an extended out of body experience." she nervously greeted and explained with a little wave. She sure hoped her body was still okay, wherever it was...

"Your hair is very nice." she reassured Groose with a little giggle. She wasn't going to tell him she thought his hair was silly. That would just be rude! She kind of appreciated how silly it was though.

When Skyward Sword Zelda addressed her as a daughter of Hylia she gave her a slightly funny look. That name had been mostly lost to time after the destruction of old Hyrule. What, did you expect Tetra to pass those legends down? How could she, with no one to teach her? Spirit Zelda could tell that the other Zelda expected her to recognize it though. It definitely sounded like an important figure of some sort. "...I'm sorry? But who is Hylia?" she very hesitantly asked.

It seemed like she might not get enough time for an answer though, because Cole appeared and her day got a lot worse from there. ...Why was he talking about her like she wasn't here? He looked right at her, didn't he? She glared right back at him until ... Malladus appeared.

Spirit Zelda's eyes widened as she looked at a familiar face. That was... her body. He was in her body! She was sure of it, even with so many small changes! If she were capable of it, she would probably gotten sick on the spot at teh sight of what had been done to it. It was so familiar, yet it had slipped into the uncanny valley. It was almost like looking at a corpse. ...Her corpse.

And then he threatened to eat her soul. IS THAT A THING?! CAN HE DO THAT?! WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?! WAS THERE ANYTHING MORE THAN HER SOUL LEFT AT THIS POINT?!

Spirit Zelda's internal screaming soon boiled over. "Oh... gods..." she cried out, before scREAMING AT THE TOP OF HER LUNGS in anguish.

She then quickly summoned her phantom, an almost nine foot tall hulking set of armor with pink trim to use as a vessel and readied its giant sword before charging Cole with it held out to stab in a fast yet reckless and heavily telegraphed manner.

"Give me. My body. BACK!" Spirit Zelda demanded, as if Cole really had a choice in the matter at this point. A part of her knew he didn't, but she was also terrified of striking her own body. Was she supposed to kill herself?? So she took it out on Cole instead with another slash of her sword instead.

Oh. This was... Way different than Grey was expecting when he ended up here. But he didn't have a problem with it either. Sure, this was no Divine Spark... But these girls needed help. Who was he to say no? Plus, if that... Groose guy was being honest, they were here looking for it too. All the more reason to help out. Worst case scenario, he'd just blast it at the last second.

"If he's as bad as you say, then we've gotta stop him. That's all there is to it. Oh, and my name's Grey, everyone."


Grey gave a small fist pump as he spoke, nodding. And... Making sure to introduce himself in kind, with the ghostly Zelda before him. ... He was going to choose not to think about that too hard for now. He was about to follow TP Zelda in... When... Oookay, Grey didn't trust this guy one bit. He quietly took his Busters in hand, when... Oh... No. He probably looked like he'd seen a ghost, which is... Ironic, considering there was one right there. ... One who- Looked- Like the body in front of him. The. Possessed body. Something was very clearly storming through Grey's mind at the sight, as one mantra echoed in his mind.

This was supposed to be me.

It wasn't quite the same... Albert had very different intentions for the Reploid when he made him, after all. But... That didn't matter in this moment. In the moment, Grey could only register what he was made for... And how similar the circumstances were. ... Which were very poor thoughts to be having, when this was a breaking into a fight. At the sound of an explosion rocking the area in front of him, he snapped out of, gritting his teeth.

"Stupid, stupid! Just cus- Gaaaah, it doesn't matter. Just fight, Grey!"


Zero would've been so disappointed if he were here right now... Thank goodness he wasn't. Instead he quickly raised his busters with a twirl, and quickly popped off some buster shots in Cole's direction. Maybe if he took out the clown, the possession would end? That was the hope anyway, as Grey Grit his teeth and placed his hopes in his twin busters.

Nope, no good. His aim was shakey and he could feel it. His gaze shot to his hands... They were shaking. And he couldn't quite get them under control... God, this was pathetic by his standards!

"C'mon Grey... Get it together!"

Internally cussing himself out, he looked to the others, and grit his teeth.

"They're gonna fight just as hard as you... So just DO IT!"

With his nerves steeled, he grit his teeth, and leaped into the air as he felt Energy charge up from his being. He'd just let all of his emotion out with this charge shot and get it over with! The less time he spent worrying about this the better, as he tried to blast all his anxieties away with the force of the sun.

He couldn't help but let out a small smile as the Charge Shot lanced through the air. His aim was already improving... And if tha twas the case, what was one more shot? His gaze switched to a targeting system cloaked in red, as Cole was promptly made target number 1. Yeah, this would definitely work...

"Gotcha now, you lowlife jerk!"

... Aaaaand that's what he gets for getting cocky and losing his cool. He pulled the trigger too early, and he could feel his arm kick back wrong as it fired. Midna decided to stay silent as everyone else started turning up. Zelda was better at explaining this kind of thing anyway, and given what they were planning to face, the more everyone knew, the better. Nodding in affermation to Zelda asking if everyone was ready, she followed everyone into the factory Everything seemed normal-ish so far. That is, until another presence entered their midst. A dark, slimy kind of presense that made Midna's skin crawl. She didn't like the look of this guy one bit, and that feeling worsened when he started speaking. "Who the heck are you, you little gremlin? Whatever you want, we're not interested! We're in the middle of something important." she attempted to shoo the creepy little guy off, but something he said stuck to Midna. If he had been listening to them, he probably knew what they were in the middle of. So, why the invitation? Especially since the person he wanted them to see was female. None of it made any sense. But, they were already inside anyway, so might as well see what this guy was on about.  The first thing to meet her gaze was a pair of orange-red eye, their stare piercing their way into her soul. As the figure these eyes belonged to drew closer, Midna gasped in horror, looking from ST Zelda to her body and back again. Was....was this where her body was? Serving as squatting grounds for that...thing? "You think we're gonna just lie down and die? Well I got news for y-" Midna was cut off, as another figure emerged from the shadows. A figure she knew all too well. A figure...she'd been missing for quite some time now. "....L-Link?" That was all Midna was able to get out, as Link's piercing gaze locked onto her. No...no this couldn't be...It couldn't! "L-Link, I.." *Midna choked out, trying to pull herself back together. She couldn't fall apart now! if Link really had become infected....She had to help him! And if that meant...if that meant hurting him, then.... "Link, I...I'm sorry..." Midna's voice was barely over a whisper, and as she raised her hand, it visibly trembled with fear and sadness. But this had to be done. "Y-you're not getting any farther!" n6ucEuPnp_1d20+1 (Midna's Prehestile Hair! DMG 22%, and Grapples the target! Costs 2 actions) Midna's hair shot forward from behind her, lengthening and forming into a single tendril, aiming to shove Link back and hold him down so Midna could get a clearer shot at him. “My babe, this opportunity to vanquish a ganasty scourge and save the land from evil like this is what all true warriors strive for!” Groose puffed out his chest and pounded it with a proud fist, winking at TAOL Zelda and reveling in her admiration. He didn’t exactly understand who or what this Ganon guy everyone’s talking about is, but if he was anything like that Demise dude…At least he wouldn’t have to face him alone… right? Even if he did, he’d mop the floor with him! The Great Groose isn’t afraid of anything! Not even Spirit Zelda complimenting his hair!
“Why thank yo-Oooo-okay, I clearly have not gotten used to this yet.” He gripped his chest, feeling his heart suddenly racing like he had seen a ghost. Because he did.

Zelda could only shrug. Why squash Groose’s enthusiasm now? Without Link, they needed all the extra manpower they can get. As for TAOL Zelda, she’ll surely wise up soon enough… In the mean time, Spirit Zelda’s question wasn’t as easily ignored.

“Who’s Hylia? Are you kidding? She’s right-”
“-Rightfully known as the Goddess Hylia. When the Golden Goddesses Din, Nayru and Farore created what would become known as Hyrule, they entrusted it and the Triforce’s protection to her!” Zelda hastily interjected, nudging away the finger Groose was pointing at her. “-A-And she did a lot to protect it…Sacrificed a lot…I’ll tell you more when we have time.” This explanation would indeed have to wait for as TP Zelda debriefed, it was time to go.

Groose inspected his adventure pouches, equipped his braced shield and unsheathed his sword. Yep, his reflection in it looked as handsome as ever. He was ready.
Zelda did the same, but rather than a sword, her equipped weapon of choice was a harp? Don’t laugh, it was no an ordinary harp, after all.

“Neat hats there, Junior.” Groose put his palms to his knees to get closer to eye level. “How much hair product do you use to keep them on?” The condescending smirk on Groose’s face did not last long enough. “Oh? She's right in there? Huh. This princess saving thing's going way faster than I tho-houh-houh-hooo my goddess...” His jaw could only hang.

Zelda covered her mouth with her free hand, silently screaming into it with her lungs rather than her vocal cords eyes watering with terror at the sight. What unholy desecration hath though committed upon her descendent. Zelda’s stare drifted a thousand yards and narrowed onto Chancellor Cole. Whatever this was was to be undone immediately, but even before that, this apostate must pay.

Without so much as a lyric, Zelda violently strummed the Goddess Harp as if it were an electric guitar, piercing cold pupils fixed upon him, intent to burn him with a first taste of the eternal flames he deserved for his crime. Perhaps it was memories of her own enduring of a ritual sacrifice to resurrect a demon king that made this oh so personal.

Groose’s gaze was a little less focused, rapidly shifting back and forth between Spirit Zelda and Malladus until another pair of eyes stepped out of the shadows.

“…Link?...” He gasped breathlessly. “Wh-what happened to you?” He whispered, trembling for an answer. But of course, one didn’t come. This was Link, after all…Or was it? Something about him looked different…His Skyloft Knight uniform looked inaccurate and foreign... Sort of cooler… Not to mention he was purple from cap to boot. Whether this was his Link or one of the other Zelda’s Links, this guy wasn’t going to go down without a fight. “This looks like a job for a Skyloft Knight, and lucky for you all, you’ve got one.” If this Link wasn’t one, this Groose was. He began to lumber toward this Link, strapping his shield onto his arm. “…You got no idea how long I’ve been waiting for a chance like this…” He snickered, unsheathing his sword and banging it against his shield like a gong. “Enjoy the show, ladies. Groose Has Got This!!!” He battle cried, charging at Link shield first to take his first swing of the sword once the gap had been closed enough.
