The battlefield this time around was a stage set up in a cyberspace. Panels and roads over a seemingly endless ravine in an endless space. The crossroads of the digital world concluded in a stage in a glorious pink with shining lights sparkling down onto the surroundings as the floor panels lit up and flashed with the beat of a song playing throughout the strange cyber atmosphere. A panel in the stage opened up as a girl in a pink hoodie rose to the top of the stage. "Hello Sunshine Stadium~! I am your host and competitor for today, Sonia Strumm or the musical warrior Harp Note if you prefer~! We have a great challenge to whoever is willing to enter!" Sonia declared into a mic at the center of the stage as she set up the hype. She gave a moment for the cheers to finish registering as she gave a pace back and forth with a wave and a bright smile.

"That's right! A battle! Not just a normal battle though. You see this is a collaborative match between me and a couple friends that wouldn't mind you give them the spotlight too. They will be working with me against any challengers as we aim to brighten up your day~!" she held a fist in the air, keeping the other hand on her guitar as she kept the momentum going with another pause. "Thank you, thank you. Now my guest today will be Mayl and Roll.exe, come on down~!" she ended, stepping back and offering an arm to present.

"Jack in! Roll.EXE! Execute!"

Just as a voice said that, a pair of girls descended into the stage in beams of light next to Sonia, one of them wearing pink armor and a helmet and the other...looking like an average elementary schooler, both of them striking a pose as the light dispersed around them. "Hello~! I'm Roll.EXE, but you can just call me Roll!" Roll.EXE introduced herself, giving a little wink as she finished. "I'm Mayl Sakurai, Roll's Operator!" Mayl said, pulling out her Advanced PET and pressing a button. Roll's helmet ribbons flashed white for a second. "Thanks for inviting us, Sonia." Mayl said to their battle partner.

"Yep! It's an honor to fight alongside you!" Roll added. "A quick warning to our opponents, by the way~" she began. "...you better not hold back!" she stated, one of her arms transforming into a buster. "That's right!" Mayl said. "If you look down on us just because we're cute, you've got another thing coming!" she added with feistiness in her tone.

(Mayl's not going to actively participate in combat, but I decided to put her stats in anyway, just in case.)

Ooh, Gold liked that redheads's sass. He'd need to be careful around her. He had a feeling she'd see right through him without him needing to say anything that diriectly indicated he was looking down at her. What fun! Still, he wasn't one to back away from danger. If anything he was attracted to it. He wanted to see more of that sass. He wanted her to kick his... Well, let's not get too carried away here. He wanted her to try. He still wanted to win. He stepped out from the entrance to the arena and flashed the girls a big grin as he approached, his skateboard braced against the back of his head by both his arms. "Alright, I'll be your opponent." he offered. "And I'll bet half my coins that I win!." he rather casually added in a manner that would probably come off as really arrogant and cocky to anyone who wasn't familiar with the fact that this was completely normal for a pokemon battle.

...Did he mention money?? She could use some of that. Riding onto the field trailed by six pretty pink yoshi eggs, an eight year old girl with strawberry blonde hair the bangs of which covered one of her eyes wearing a patchwork dress sat on the back of a matching pink yoshi. Taking the side opposite Sonia and Mayl, she wound up teaming up with Gold incidentally. “...Me too! And I'll bet you anything you want for half of yours.” Mary hurriedly remarked, eliciting a disapproving glance from Rose. Anything they want?? Just gonna write a blank check huh? Rose sighed, but didn't object. She understood why; Mary had no coins and little valuables to wager, so she had to resort to favors and blank checks. She supposed she'd just have to protect Mary if they asked for anything unreasonable. Or win. Winning was always an option. The slightly smaller than average, rather girly looking pink yoshi stopped and began to march in place in an energetic fashion, signalling her willingness to battle. “Let's... be nice.” she offered, her speech disjointed and awkward from lack of practice.

"That's right~! More than just looks these stars!" Sonia full heartedly before their rivals showed... Which she would quirk a brow at their challengers before glancing to Mayl. Are they just throwing bets at them? That wasn't in the contract. She seemed to ponder it for a  moment... Well, the audience would love bigger risks so... Wait, isn't this also a 3 on 3 since Mayl said she wasn't fighting proerly? The yoshi did seem hesitant at least... Well, she might as well roll with it. What were the odds of this backfiring? "Alright~! You're both on!  Though no complaining or taking it back when you lose!" the idol declared to a roar of applause.


"Transcode: Harp Note!" Sonia declared as she gave a hop off the stage, pink hearts and ribbons surrounding her as she was transformed into the merged being Harp Note ready for action. "Let's Roll, Roll!" she declared before jumping forward and attempting to slam her guitar down upon Gold with a great big smash of her flaming instrument as it caught fire mid approach... She didn't really know what a Pokemon Battle was.

She would then turn to face Rose before strumming her guitar to cause a heart shaped pulse to form over her and try to play with her heartstrings metaphorically through the melody.

She then shifted her gaze to Mary and performed one less strum of her guitar with it pointed in her direction. Unlike the pleasant soundwave that Rose got this one would give her a painful force overcome her and make it hard to concentrate through all the noise hitting her at once.

...Mayl stares back at Sonia with concern on her face. Why was this guy suddenly bringing bets on the fight? Ugh, she hated betting something, it just made her nervous; the prospect of owing someone. "Uhhh...I'll pass on betting, thank you! I'd rather keep this simple and just have a fun match." Mayl protested with an dismissing wave. Roll.EXE looked at Mayl, then back to Gold, and shrugged. "I don't have anything to bet with me, so...I guess I'm dropping out too! Sorry~! In any case...shall we?"

With the brief emotional outburst over with, Roll began pointing her Buster at Mary before it suddenly transformed into a sort of arrow launcher, an arrow with a heart for its tip resting on it. "Roll Arrow, fire!" she announced, suddenly firing the arrow at the small girl, interrupting one of her would-be attacks if it managed to hit her.

While Roll and Sonia kept them all busy, Mayl began to peruse her folder and brought out some Battle Chips in her hands. Shuffling between them to get a good combo going, she settled on 5 of them. "Roll, I'm sending you chip data!" she announced. "Battle Chips, in and download!" she said, placing all five selected Battle Chips in sequential order.

Before long, Roll was rushing towards Gold and...giving him a slap on the face with her helmet ribbon blades for good measure. Hey, so, these two have no idea what a Pokémon battle is either--

"I hope everyone's ready to roll!" Mayl announced with a little pun, sounding quite fired up. "Because we got some surprises for you all in store~!" Roll followed up, her striking a pose to the audience with Mayl mimicking her.

...Gold's cocky smirk lasted until the girls started coming for him directly. He then shook his head in disbelief. Ah yes. Battling. This is exactly what he had in mind. At the last moment, he braces his skateboard against Sonia's guitar and catches it so that the blade slides into the metal holding the wheels on.

Gold softly hissed in pain as he was whipped by Roll's head blades. That really smarted! "...Y'know, my Mom always taught me never to hit girls. But at this point I think it'd be a bit unsportsmanlike if I didn't. I just hope she understands, wherever she is..." Gold laments out loud. You could tell he felt a bit guilty about it. After a moment though, his smirk came back. "...Though, now that I'm here..." he began, only to pause for a moment to twist his skate board and lock it with Sonia's blade before tugging it back, pulling her into him. He then dropped it entirely, grabbed Sonia by her waist, and then lifted her into his arms bridal style. "I am kinda seeing the appeal of Love Balls all of a sudden." he remarked, playfully waggling his brows. Even he knew he was being pretty cheesy right now. Not that any of the girls here would even get his terrible joke.

Luckily that wasn't his only move though, because he had discreetly primed and dropped Pibu's ball at his feet, trusting the pokemon to do what he did best--show off--while he dealt with Sonia. Pibu looked around for a moment before spotting Roll, his cheeks sparking dangerously with electricity. He then began rushing toward her, his body enveloped by a bright white aura of ionized energy, threatening to plow through her before continuing on to tackle her trainer!

He then stopped, turn, and launched a little jolt at Mayl's back

He then quickly ran off, panting 'Pi, pi, pi' with each hop as he fled back to his trainer to offer him some support before he became the first person in the history of ever to get stabbed by a guitar or something. He then promptly brushed up against Sonia, attempting to send a precision jolt of electricity through her body to paralyze her!
