(This Open challenge will be a team battle with me and Weeg on one side and two characters on the other. You may either use two characters or bring in a partner of your own.)

Rose petals drifted into the lot of the train station as it seemed to be raining roses of a deep red. In the next moment a round red mess touched down on the ground with those same flower leaves flowing off of it and dropping to the ground. Kneeling on the ground was a girl in a red hood that covered her face for the time being before she stood up and took off the hood. "Heya! Ruby Rose entering the stage!" she declared chipfully with a wave towards the audience indicated by a small egg drone watching her. "I hope you're ready because you're about to see how Team RWBY fights!... Um, with my new partner... That was not part of Team Rwby..." she drifted off into a mumble as she brushed her hair at that introduction. "Anyway I'm sure it'll be a great time~!" she quickly amends to fix the awkwardness with a fist pump.

"... Wow, the sunset here is really pretty actually. This is a pretty nice train station too..." she looks to the sky before back to the station. The arena was a simulation of Twilight Town covering the Arena Grounds complete with a simulated sky. Her partner should give her entrance soon so she'll just admire the sunset for a second.

"This is..." Xion stared at the giant clock tower as she entered the stage. This place had a lot of memories to her. Good and bad, but well...that made it important to her regardless. She sniffles a bit as she remembers the times where Roxas, Axel (or Lea, she keeps getting confused) and her eating ice cream after a mission...at least, before noticing her partner standing there. Oop, she probably caught that. "Sorry, just...got some big memories of this place." she excused herself as she approached Ruby.

The raven-haired girl summoned her Keyblade as she stared at the other side of the field, presumably waiting for her opponents. "Alright, so...I'll try to support you as best as I can." she began. "I'm teaming up with you for the first time, so I don't really know what to expect. B-but I hope we'll get along just fine!" she stated a bit awkwardly.

After a few moments, Xion's Keyblade was covered in flames, transforming into a very different Keyblade that looked like a chakram with some flames spewing out flames in a vague key-like manner. Her clothes changed too, a dark grey dress and a red-plaid patterned skirt instead of the black-and-white dress, her hair gaining orange-red tips. She then assumed a somewhat lax stance as she waited for their foes to show up.

Haseo never really expected to be fighting in such a nice town like area. It kind of reminded him of Mac Anu with how pretty it was but well it was real and the sunset seemed to go on forever. Almost disturbing really but it was rather nice either way.

Coming in with his 1st form, Haseo was ready to go and working together with a teammate he had never met seemed the likely thing that was going to happen today. Whatever the case Haseo would keep in mind that he was using his best form for teamwork anyway but he still had another form in reserve should he need to use it. 

Looking over to his opponents he noticed two black haired girls on the opposite side of the arena. "Well I'm fighting girls today huh? Don't expect me to go easy on you though." He said with a grin before taking out his Twin Blades and got ready to fight. His teammate should be here any moment now but who would it be? "It's a shame this place is so nice, I say that because I could honestly stare at that sunset for hours if this wasn't a match. Might be a good place to hang out in y'know?" Haseo said before jabbing a thumb to his chest to introduce himself. "My name is Haseo, I'll be one of your opponents." He then would be on the lookout for his partner that would be joining him.

It's been awhile since Yumiko had actually duelled. She didn't like to think about her last duel, so she hoped this one would be different. She was fighting with a guy against two sword user girls it seems so this was going to be a fun little match. If she does well then maybe she'll come back again one day to fight again, she really should do exercises like this.

She soon arrived, meeting up with Haseo in the process. "Shirasagi Yumiko, I'll be your partner in fighting these two girls over there." Yumiko pointed over towards Xion and Ruby, before being confused with how Ruby was mumbling her lines.

"What is she even saying?" Yumiko wondered. Regardless, she was waiting for the match to begin and for Xion and Ruby to give it their worst towards her and Haseo.

"... Huh? You okay?" Ruby asked, noticing her partner looking sad and distracted as she reached out... Huh, so she was from this town? "... Don't worry, I get it. Don't worry about it too much. In the field here we have to work together with lots of people we don't know. It's important to work off each other despite that... But most importantly we have fun~! I'm sure we'll get along great," Ruby assures with a pat to Xion's back before looking to the competition. She gives a bit of an awe expression at the Keyblade. So this is a Keyblade. Wow, now that is a cool weapon... She's still not sure how it works. "Nice trick~! We're twinsies now!" Ruby declared, pulling one of her hair strands and moving to do the same with Xion's.

"Heya~!" she waves to Haseo and Yumiko-... Oh she's being judged isn't she. "I-I didn't know my opponents were watching that," she sighs before shaking her head and grabbing her weapon off her hip and expanding it into a scythe. "Alright! Let's do this! Let the best team win!" she declares.

Ruby would turn ball into the ball of red as she burst forward into action. The swirling rose storm would approach Haseo before flying past him and focusing on Yumiko as she would pop out of the mass of red as the Petal Burst dissipated she would make her slash attempts at the girl with her scythe with an aerial slash attack at the other before raising her scythe upward and then slamming it down. This ended up in an intense blast of power from the scythe like gun. She would finish by collapsing the weapon a bit as she jumped back before aiming to shoot a large ball of electricity at Yumiko.

"A-alright...I'm counting on you, Ruby!" Xion said with a resolute nod, allowing the other to mess with her hair for a moment. With that proximity, she noticed the red tips on the other's hair. "Oh yeah, you're right! Guess we do look kinda like twins now, huh?" she commented somewhat meekly but still lighthearted.

And here comes the competition. Xion waves at them as they showed up. "Hey." she greeted. She perks up a bit as Hasoe mentions the sunset Twilight Town was famous for. "Oh, I get what you mean. Hey, maybe we can sit down and watch the sunset after the battle's over! I...miss this place." Xion offered with a bit of nostalgia. "But right now...it's time for us to get down to business, isn't it?" she questioned. Sure enough, her partner went ahead to attack. Seems like she was focusing on the other girl, so looks like she should keep the other guy busy.

With a deep breath, her Keyblade sudden split in two, the blade-like flame disappearing from one of them as only the chakrams remained. they spun next to Xion's hands, building up flames... "Burn, baby!" With that call, Xion grasped the chakrams and slammed them into the floor, a field of fire suddenly encircling the field around everyone and scorching the ground. It...doesn't hurt anyone to stand over the scorched field, though.

(Scorched Earth. Increases Xion's DEX and WIS mods by 2 and increases Flames potency by 2 for 3 turns.)

The chakrams combined into their Keyblade form again, and Xion rushed towards Haseo, her footsteps leaving behind small flares on the ground. As she came close, her entire being started being covered in a bright light...before she suddenly burst into flames, trying to catch Haseo into the burning explosion!

Whether or not it hit him, smoke was now all up in his face...and Xion, covered in soot and smoke leapt in the air, pointing her Keyblade at the general area her foes were in. "Fire!" she called, a fireball shooting from her Keyblade and travelling down, homing in on Haseo...at least until it suddenly exploded in a wide radius as it came near, potentially catching Yumiko in the explosion as well.

Landing on the ground, Xion resumed the rather lax-looking stance. But you could tell she had her guard up as she decided to close distance.

As the ball of flower petals zoomed past his head he would notice all that attention he thought he was getting from Ruby was going toward Yumiko instead. Seeing as Xion just was all fire themed now she appeared to have made a circle of fire surrounding them both, garnering a grin from Haseo. "Oh yes this will do." The Terror of Death was excited to see what would happen here but as Xion rushed him he had barely any time to react to the next move she was about to make.

Pulling up his shield in the nick of time, Haseo blocked that big attack, though it severely weakened his shield reserves. The next attack didn't looks at bad compared to the first but he would still try to dodge it regardless.

The fission fire hit spot on toward Haseo but this didn't deter him in the least, instead he just smirked once again as he felt the damage go into his body. Little did Xion expect was that he was about to use a new move he picked up a while back in response.

As the flames went into Haseo's body the damage went in as Haseo recoiled inward from the pain but then immediately afterward he expelled an violet aura from his body right after the attack hit. This automatically hits Xion for the Poisoned status.

"My turn now." Haseo said as he then summoned a red aura around himself and Yumiko. "Beast Awakening!" Haseo cried out as he then felt stronger and faster from the buff. This increases his and Yumiko's STR and DEX mods by +2 for 3 turns. 

Lastly Haseo would charge toward Xion and go for a combo attack with his Twin Blades.

Yumiko noticed how sad Xion looked. "Um, are you alright over there?" She called over towards Ruby and Xion, however it appears as though that Xion was ready and feeling better now, as her and Ruby prepared to attack her and Haseo now with a barrage of attacks. Yumiko prepared, only for a strange red aura to appear around her.

"Huh?" Only for her to find out that it belonged to Haseo. She knew this meant that something magical was going to happen and maybe her attacks would be a little more powerful now.

And indeed, she got a stat booth in her strength and her agility. Now if only she got a buff for her magical attacks, then she can use more of her power to help defeat Xion and Ruby.

Speaking of which, it was time for Yumiko to dodge.

Yumiko leaped!

Dodging most of the attacks. Yumiko was however hit twice by Ruby's Crescent Rose as well as her buzzsaw blast, as she had no time to dodge that attack. Fortunately she sprung around in time to avoid Ruby's shot from her rifle, before covering herself with her bubble shield when Xion launched her firaga attack that attempted to her burn her, she was pushed several feet towards Haseo, before removing her shield from herself and straightening her hair.

"I'm doing alright, even though we have a bad start by letting the enemy team attack first. Let's see if we can turn this battle around for us." Even though her current magic attacks are regular, she was still very power, and it seems as though Ruby was going to target her the most in this fight, so Yumiko was going to do the same thing.

Yumiko ran forward towards Xion, looking as though she was going to attack the girl, who was part of a boy, who had another boy apart of, she didn't know what crazy stuff happens in Xion's world.

She jumped forward when she was close enough to Xion, and over towards Ruby, where she fired a wind attack that would try and push the girl back, before landing behind Xion and fire an electric based attack towards Ruby.

Feeling as though Xion would attack her now that she's close to the girl, Yumiko turned over towards her and fired another blast of maziodyne that caused Yumiko to launch forward up into the sky.

And as Yumiko was in the air. She spun around elegantly before landing in front of Xion, in order to impress the audience that might be watching this fight somewhere. "Do you have anything that boosts a person magical attack? I could use one to help with this duel." She called over to Haseo for an answer.

"Thanks for the assist, Xion~!" Ruby waved back to her partner before a sharp gust of wind hit her. "Woahwoahwoahwoahwoahwoah!"  Ruby flapped her hands to try and stabilize herself as the gust of wind blew her into the air... It wasn't very effective naturally but she had other spells to deal with right now. Thinking fast Ruby activated her Petal Burst and flipped her cape around to turn into the swirling mass of rose petals once more as she tried to use the better air mobility of her semblance to dodge the lightning strike.

Ruby sweeped around the bolts with great speed and swiftness as she zoomed into the air and started rolling in the air, her cloak brushing aside as she was a doing a Sonic the Hedgehog style spin attack with petals flowing all other before bursting forward with her Semblance aiming to slice right through before curling back into her cloak into the air again.

At the apex of her curve she unfurled once more as she landed on the face of the clocktower.. Her scythe was already in it's Rifle Mode and loaded but instead of being loaded with Lightning Dust it now contained Gravity Dust. And instead of being aimed at Yumiko it was aimed at Haseo. She fired the dust loaded ammunition at him that would make his body feel very heavy if it impacted.

She would then jump back down to ground floor... For good sportsmanship.  "Yeah, well, we  won't give up so easily either! The fight's just beginning!" she declared with a point... She might need to build up her Aura endurance some especially with her sembleance going but she had faith in her and her partner.

Xion coughed a bit as she landed, glancing over Haseo's way. Something about that guy's attack suddenly made her feel kinda sick. It didn't feel strong though, so...maybe it wasn't going to be a problem for very long.

What was going to be a problem right now was Haseo's offensive. Despite her attempt to block the blow, the attempt had whiffed, and she was left wide open to two slashes. She managed to prevent a critical strike from the second slash and nimbly evade the third one...but she was struck with a wave of lightning soon after, sending her to the scorched ground. She was quick to get back up, however, sliding back to her combat stance.

"Okay...first, don't worry about me. I just got a lot of memories of this place." Xion said to Yumiko, looking at the clock tower for a brief second or two before looking back to the mage. "Second...!" Xion began, before suddenly trying to rush Yumiko with some flaming Keyblade strikes!

Xion advised with a small smirk, suddenly pushing past Yumiko with her finisher as she made her way to Haseo and made a leaping attack towards him, slamming the burning Keyblade on the ground, a molten pillar forming right below Haseo's feet!

Twisting her Keyblade up, Xion did a backwards jump with her weapon in hand. Transforming it into the two chakrams again, she encased one of them in fire before tossing it at Haseo...before it arced to hit Yumiko as well!

Xion then landed on the ground, the chakrams once again reverting to a Keyblade. She placed her weapon over her shoulder with a smirk. "Yeah, what Ruby said!" she stated. "You better be careful, 'cause I'm gonna heat things up a notch!"

Haseo was on guard again after he connected a blow or two against Xion. Looks like Ruby was attacking him now with an new shot that looked dangerous. Haseo would use the last of his shield to block it, thus quite literally bursting his bubble with it. But he took no damage from it thankfully so the Gravity Dust did not affect him.

Moving to dodge away from Xion's next attack after feeling his bubble shield burst he would try to not get hit by it.

Haseo gets hit by the flaming pillar of fire and feels himself burning up from the attack. "Yeah that one hurt quite a bit." Haseo said with a chuckle before moving to dodge the weapon toss.

Effortlessly Haseo dodged out of the way of the chakrams before moving toward Ruby with a high amount of speed before going in to attack her with a Gale Blade.

Nat 20 so this automatically hits. Haseo hits Ruby with his left twin blade then his right before doing a forward flip then using a downward kick right onto Ruby as he does so. "Gale Blade!" he said as he ended the combo.

Next Haseo would back up from where Ruby was then quickly shift into his Ultimate Steel Form, thus adding to his overall health and ability. Action used to transform.



"I'm right here." he said after he transformed.

Finally Haseo would use his Gate of Ouroboros blade and begin his Chain Storm attack on both Ruby and Xion. 

WIS Roll for Chain Storm: Does 18% AOE Damage to both Xion and Ruby if this hits. Segments of his chain sword spread across a 30 feet radius and hit any enemies around it.

(Yumiko has used the last of her bubble shield to protect herself from Ruby's Corkscrew Slice attack, unfortunately the shield has broken and she has gotten 18% damage as a result.)

"I'm still worried though. We might be in opposing teams, but that doesn't mean that I shouldn't be worried for people I'm sparring with in a friendly manner, speaking of which hold on a second." Yumiko would tell Xion to wait before using her bubble shield to dodge Ruby's corkscrew slice. Unfortunately she still had gotten damage, and her bubble shield broke in the process, as well as two of Xion's blaze attack combos.

What's more, Xion was going to attack her now with more attacks. Fortunately, Yumiko foresaw this and did two twirls to dodge Xion's two attacks towards her, before landing near her. "Just because I loudly announce my plans, doesn't mean that they won't still happen." Yumiko said with a smirk.

"After all, I force them to happen no matter what." She said, looking like she was going to attack Xion.

But instead, she turned and shot a fire and electric blast wave towards Ruby instead from the Clock Tower.

Firing those two blasts of elemental power sent Yumiko flying upwards. She launched her leg forward, causing frost to burst through in front of her as it quickly made her way towards Ruby.

Because of the nature and power of the attack, Yumiko is unable to use it again until six turns pass, as she will need time to recharge the attack. [DMG 22%])

As she did, the row of ice quickly created an ice road for her, to which she happily skated towards Ruby.

Ruby did a fist pump at the bubble bursting from her Rifle Mode shot. "Got it~! Knew you couldn't keep defending forever!" Ruby seemed not too upset the attack was guarded... on the contrary that seemed to be what she wanted. However as soon as she did she was met with a blade to the face. She was repelled a bit by the force as she looked up to a kick coming right down at her.

Thankfully that stylish flip was all she needed to move out of the way instaneously to the followup. She gave a sigh of relief as only rose petals were left where the critical blow would of landed. However that was not the end of his assault as he suddenly transformed-... Hey! She can't do that! She needs to learn that trick... Oh hey, cool chain sword.

"Sorry! Not letting you chain me down! Nice sword though!" Ruby called with a wave as she just barely managed to leap over the attack. That didn't seem like the end of the attacks though-... Oh wow, she really was their prime target right now. Well, that was their mistake!... For now, she can't keep her Semblance up much longer so... "Better make it count!" she declares as if ending that thought.

"Yeah well, that was your first mistake! While your plans might work out other times you made one severe oversight this time!" Ruby declared as she turned into a red streak that moved right through the elemental attacks as she landed on the ground into a dash towards Yumiko as the other prepared to attack.

"You challenged Team RWBY... Um... X! Team RWBY-X!" she finishes, just adding Xion's first letter to her team name as she soared into the air off the scarlet flowers. "And we always save the day! No matter what! Your plan can't beat our synergy~!" she declares as she performs a spinning slash through the air at the girl as she approached, meeting her head on. She then suddenly appeared at her left for another slash before reappearing at her right with a slam to try and knock her off her path.

Ruby then turned into another crimson cyclone of graceful petals as she flew through the air towards Haseo before dividing and flying right past him for a mixup making him think she was approaching his front. She reformed and held her weapon in rifle mode opposite Haseo before firing it to propel herself backfirst at him, quickly changing it back into a scythe as she did a buzzsaw roll right at him, slamming into him to pin him to the ground. "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen~!" she added before aiming to blast him point black, the rocoil sending her through the air as she landed with a exhausted breath as she swung her scythe and the red aura and petals dissipated.

(Shielding Haseo's Chain Storm.)

Xion gets a bit wide-eyed at Haseo's form change, blocking the incoming chain sword attack by using her bubble shield, leaving none the worse for wear. She stood on guard as Yumiko appeared to target gasped a bit in surprise as she saw Ruby nimbly dodging most of the attacks sent her way. Man, her partner was so skilled...she needed to pick up the pace. And she had an idea how.

"That was a nice trick." Xion took a moment to compliment Haseo on his transformation. "But--!" she added, suddenly being enveloped in a bright light...!

(Xion swaps to Striker Stance!)

"You're not the only one who can change forms at the drop of a hat!" Xion declared, her flaming Keyblade now replaced with a pair of differently designed Keyblades, one brimming with light and the other with dark power. Additionally, her outfit changed colors again, this time a white dress with a dark green skirt, and her hair tips became a dirty blonde.

However, just as quickly as those light-and-dark Keyblades showed up, they soon changed to other designs, one looking a bit more bulky, and the other filled with magical power.

(Gear Change! Due to one of her attacks in the previous turn rolling lower than 12, this is a free action. Changing to Crisis Gear, which grants Xion a +2 to her STR and CHA Mods for 3 turns.)

"Now how about you back off my friend!" Xion ordered, spinning around with her Keyblades as powerful magic also spun around her, creating a powerful tornado that was coming right towards both Haseo and Yumiko at once!

After attempting to attack both her opponents with Roxas' tornado of death, Xion turned to Ruby and concentrated a lot of magical power. "Heal!" she chanted, pointing both her Keyblades to the sky as Ruby recovered some of her aura thanks to Xion's healing magic!

"Heh. How's this for a taste of RWBY-X's synergy, huh?" Xion asked, sending a goofy little smile and thumbs-up on Ruby's direction as she said that. Yep, she listened to that. "...or at least, the R-X part of it..." she mumbled absentmindedly as she moved away from her two foes to give herself some space.

Nat 20 on the Crit Confirm so Haseo only takes 45 damage from the auto hit. 

Haseo's took the brunt of the Buzzsaw Blast as he takes quite a significant amount of damage just then. But at this point Haseo saw the whirlwind slash from Xion aimed right at him and Yumiko.

Still despite his speed he was unable to avoid the whirlwind slash which cut right into his body making him weakened even further. This was not looking good for their team, Xion and Ruby are definitely powerful as a team but Haseo would now take his focus on Ruby this time. She seemed to be the one doing the most damage, so it was logical to take her out first. 

Haseo slowly got up felt all the damage course throughout his body. He was really hurt and things were looking awful for his situation. Still though he wasn't about to give up after all this. 

"Okay that's it the kid gloves are off now." Haseo said before making a mad dash at Ruby. If he could get at least one good attack in he knew that they would still have a chance to win. 

Haseo then did something that may have surprised all who saw it. The blade of his sword vanished then only the hilt remained before forming the entire thing into a red energy scythe. "Merciless Decapitation!" Haseo cried out as he made his scythe attack toward Ruby. 



The Terror of Death - Merciless Decapitation: Does 13% damage upon hit and has a 10% chance to Mortal Wound.

Haseo followed this up with a punch that he would use as surprise attack toward Ruby after his initial scythe attack as a follow up move. 

This wasn't any ordinary punch though as he would pour in extra power into said punch from his earlier injuries and converted it into energy for the attack. 

STR Roll for Merciless Strike: The move is charged up so it does 32% damage upon hit.

"Take this!" he cried out as he inflicted the punch onto her.

Haseo was hardly done though as he continued his onslaught onto Ruby by changing his chain sword into Whip mode after it changed back to its normal form.

After that Haseo's sword changed back to normal once again. Then Haseo would feel the sting of the Flames then get ready to defend against more attacks but not before going for another appeal.
