[S.A.M.B.R. Samus Aran]

A kind of eerie silence flowed over the remnants of Planet Zebes. Sam glanced around nervously as she walked up to a cave entrance that led to a blast door leading deeper into Li. She wasn't in her armor at the moment since it was easier to keep track of her surroundings like this. Still despite that she was just picking up nothing. No thoughts or anything else looked like it was moving around. Though she doesn't think this time is due to ghosts or anything. She remembered it being weirdly barren before but now it feels moreso.

The young girl gave a small sigh as she relaxed her nerves a bit. She'll have help coming soon. She shouldn't worry too much but still she won't drop her guard. Samus wanted her to do school stuff but she wanted to be of help to the city too and if she was able to fight she might as well make use of it. She looked up for a moment to check the sky before taking a sit down to rest. She was going to need her energy for the mission after all. Even if it's empty out here there's no guarenteed the insides are the same... Kind of wish she had a navigator friend like her original actually come to think of it.

So the mission brief said to show up in this place...which looks like something she's sure that creep, Prof. Hojo, would enjoy hanging around in. She's not sure, but it felt like she had been to a place like this before, but...those memories are so hard to organize. If this is what Aerith felt, then she does not envy her. Anyways, Tifa Lockhart was only doing this mission in hopes of finding her friends, and at least earning her keep. She does need a place to live.

Walking further into the cavern, she would find a blonde girl...here in a place like this? Though she does looked older than Marlene, she's still a kid in a dangerous place. What is she doing here? Was she lost?

Slowly approaching her with a friendly smile, "Hello there. I'm Tifa. Are...you lost?"

Ever since his encounter with Ridley of which he barely survived, Haseo just felt ever more determined to help Samus out in her missions. This one was no different of course as he shortly arrived on his steam bike which got him to the remnants of zebes in a matter of minutes.



Parking the steam bike Haseo moved toward the others with a grin before laying his eyes on the person they were supposed to meet here. He thought it was Samus but instead it was a young blonde girl who looked a little confused. Next to her was a rather curvy woman who looked a little older than he was but he couldn't really tell. "That's strange I thought Samus was going to be here on this mission, where is she?" Haseo said as he looked around the place with his crimson red eyes.

His eyes were once again drawn back to the young girl, something was off about her. Upon closer inspection she looked a little like Samus, maybe if she were a lot younger though. What was she?

Thinking back to his previous missions he remembered that their had been lookalikes and alternate versions of existing people in them, that and he saw several like those in the Life Sphere. Was this one of those? "Wait are you Samus?" he addressed the blonde girl in confusion. Was this some sort of prank from the Mirage or something else? Whatever the case it might be Samus, just not the Samus he was used to.

Well whatever the case everyone seemed to be here for this mission to find the artifact. "My name is Haseo, I came upon the request from Samus. Though I didn't expect to find a different one if I am being honest." Haseo said as he looked back over to Sambr.

Samus looked up at Tifa as she showed up and looked down at her... Sam couldn't really help herself when it came to reading minds. Was just a thing she did whenever her helmet was off and she'd need to learn to control better one day. So the fact Tifa was concerned about a kid like her all the way out here wasn't lost on her.

"N-no. I'm the one that organized this mission..." Samus replied straightly as she stood up to note another mind speeding in... Oh, he expected the woman she was cloned from... This is already going smoothly. "Yeah, I'm Samus Aran. I'm..." Samus paused for a second... she couldn't just say she was a clone of the original. "... The leader's cousin. You can just call me Sam if you want," she decided to go for the family resemblance angle. Samus didn't look old enough to have a kid her age so close enough. "You don't need to worry too much about me, Tifa. I can hold my own. My cousin taught me a lot of really cool moves so I'm more capable than I look," another lie but she really didn't want to get into how she was also born from two of the most dangerous people on the planet.

She turned around and gave a deep breath before a purple glow surrounded her and encased her in a form of Power Armor. Unlike Samus's this armor was not only purple but had claws and edges along the arm cannon. Wings like Meta-Ridley's Wings sprouted from her back and a helmet in the shape of Ridley's maw covered her head with the visor in the mouth area. "Alright, my visor should point us in the right direction. We need to keep an eye out though. We don't know if the Chozo set up any defenses in here,"  Sam warned before she opened the way to the tunnels with a shot from her Arm Cannon before charging up another shot for later... Just in case.

The tunnel was long and dark with words written in a foreign language along the walls as it sloped deeper into the planet and got darker though Samus's wings and visor lit it up a bit. "... Still nothing..." she muttered to herself as she notes the lack of life signs in the area and tapped her helmet to make sure the thing wasn't having an error.

For a moment, Tifa was surprised that this girl was the one who organized this mission. But mentioning her cousin, she might mean that she's here on her behalf. The note did sound like the girl was a bit uncomfortable going at this alone. Tifa chuckled a bit, amused that this girl claimed that she can hold her own. Well, maybe if she got here, but she might still need some training if she's under the tutelage of-

And then the armor suddenly appeared on her. That...took her by surprise. It looks like something that Prof. Hojo and Scarlet collaborated on. After all, that evil slime, Hojo, created the monsters that pledged Midgar, and that witch Scarlet created the robots and weapons Midgar uses to bring the poor people down. "Uh...okay...?"

Going to be a bit until she gets over what this kid pulled off, but right now, she has to focus.

Ah so this was Samus's cousin who was also named Samus? That was honestly a little weird since well if it was her daughter the whole Samus Jr. would make sense. But that wasn't the case and she said cousin instead. Haseo also noticed that she hesitated a little when she said the whole cousin thing, was she lying to him? Well whatever the case he didn't really have time to think on this whole thing as he should focus on the mission. His focus was indeed on the mission for a few seconds before Sam transformed with a suit around her.

Normally Haseo would be fine with it since it was the same kind of deal with Samus and her power suit. This time was different however, because the form the suit took looked almost identical to Ridley. Haseo barely survived his encounter with that dragon thing and here this Sam person was wearing a suit that looked just like him.



"Sam right? Why does your suit look like Ridley? I encountered that thing on one of my missions with Samus and I barely survived it. It seems a little strange that her cousin would be wearing a suit based on an evil creature like that." Haseo pointed out as he followed along the path with Sam. Still he would try to perceive where he was despite his thoughts on what exactly Sam was.

Looks like Haseo was too lost in his thoughts to really pay much attention to his surroundings but followed along anyways. Haseo was pretty full of questions here since well he didn't really know how to proceed knowing he was working for Samus's 'cousin' or whatever she really was. "Oh well. I guess it doesn't matter too much in the long run, I'll just focus on the mission at hand."

"H-huh?" Sam looked back in distraction at Haseo's comment. He encountered Ridley and lived? She wasn't expecting anyone here to actually recogonize the appearance of the armor. With her original no less. She turned her head back to the path for a moment in silence. Evil... right... "I-it's a long story, oka-" Sam began to retort before something clattered against her armor. Samus looked down to see... a needle? Needle traps? Needles were fired from the walls at Haseo and Tifa too but Tifa was actually able to notice the trap ahead of time.

(Tifa! A needle is being fired at you! Roll a 10 or higher in DEX to dodge or take 15% damage along with a 1d3 to be inflicted with a status. 1 is Poison, 2 is Sickness, 3 is Paralysis)

(Haseo! Same as above but you need to roll a 16 or higher with WIS to notice it and then a 12 or higher in DEX to dodge)

"Were these traps or..." Sam began before looking towards the direction of the Chozo chamber straight ahead just in time to notice three green plasma shots being fired at each of them.

(Everyone! Roll a 13 or higher in DEX to evade the energy shots or take 22 damage)

The young human managed to step out of the way of the energy blast before raising her arm cannon in the direction of the threat instinctively.

"Lying to your comrades? Bad form. I wouldn't expect any less from the Galactic Federation's little abomination though," a voice called out as it uncloaked. "Wh-who are you?" Sam questioned as she winced a bit at that call out as her anxiety was skyrocketing now. "... So they didn't even warn you about me. Not really surprised by that either. No concern to you. This shall be your grave," the Bounty Hunter dubbed Sylux declared as he turned around and shot the cave entrance behind him and caused it to collapse. "... There goes the fastest way...."

Haseo doesn't get a very good reading of the area but Tifa! You are able to tell there is a split in the cave with heat radiating from the right and a cool breeze coming from the left. Sylux turned his attention to the group with the path blocked off behind him.

Just as she saw the traps spring, Tifa was easily able to dodge the needle. Keeping up her guard, "I don't know, but just keep on your guard! There might be-"

And she quickly back-flipped away from a blast. "...more." She didn't see some sort of turret, but just when she was about to question it, there she saw a purple robot reveal himself...and it can talk. She fought so many robots that she can keep count, and neither of them was programmed to speak. But she shouldn't expect this strange place to follow the rules of her world all the time. "Hey, don't you-"

And too late, for the robot blasted the cavern, sealing up their original way. She doubted even with all her Materia that she can bust through that, but even if she could, she'd make things worse by causing more cave-ins. There just had to be a way around this, like a crack in a wall and---

...and Tifa spotted two ways. One way, she can bet that it leads to molten lava. Not exactly a good idea to go through. But the other had a cool breeze...probably through ice. She's not dressed for it, but she can use her fire Materia to keep herself warm.

Frowning, she glanced at Sam and Haseo, trying to silently turn their attention toward the left split on the wall without giving out hints at the robot.

Haseo knew something was up when Sam reacted the way she did after being asked about her suit. A long story huh? Well he had time to listen that was for sure but something else seemed to interrupt his thoughts as he was thrown back into reality with his instincts telling him something was near.

His instincts were right on the mark as he saw the needle coming then would move in order to dodge it.

Just casually moving to the side as the needle flew right by he was also interrupted by some enemy fire. Three energy shots aimed right at him so Haseo would move to dodge out of the way of that too.

Moving to the other side this time as he used minimal movement in order to dodge the attacks with ease.

Haseo took in the newcomer as he told them that Sam was lying about something, Haseo figured as much but what he didn't expect to hear was that Sam was some sort of experiment. Well that was what he could gather at least from what the guy said to them.

"Whatever the case you are outmatched if you think you can take us out like that."

Not like it mattered much now since the guy just shot above the cave entrance, thus keeping them from running away from him. Haseo could only do so much to distract this guy before he went on the attack.

Haseo then noticed Tifa glancing at him and Sam. Her eye movements he could tell were also moving toward a split in the hallway. Following those movements Haseo determined that Tifa wanted to go toward the path with the least danger. Haseo silently nodded and moved toward that area, presumably with the others as well.
