At the announcement about her letting her guards on break for the entire city to hear that was basically painting a giant target on her back. "Wow what a moron. That is practically inviting any kind of assassin to their doorstep right then and there! Idiots I swear, well if nothing else it should provide some entertainment." Vanitas said with a wicked smile. He proceed down toward the castle without so much as a guard to get in his way, just like the queen to kindly say so. As he made it to the throne room Vanitas stood there about 10 feet away from the queen in an imposing manner. His aura gave off darkness much that was like the monsters outside. "Well then. You're the Queen right? I have some questions for you, answer them and no harm will come to you or your kingdom." Vanitas was powerful enough to make that type of threat actually. The guards who let him in were probably regretting doing so now because they left their Queen completely unprotected.

"First before I start my questions let me address something to you. I am not connected to the Monsters of Darkness or the Blood Eclipse your people have mentioned outside. I am something entirely different and much more powerful beyond your very understanding. My name is Vanitas and what I am after is simply the power of this Eclipse." He would let those words absorb into her very being before continuing further. "To do this I will absorb its power to end your suffering, not a bad deal if you ask me. I gain power and your kingdom gains peace."
Vanitas had wondered how long it would take for the guards to catch onto this before they started to threaten him to leave, if any showed up at all that is.

"Now then my questions. What do you know about this Eclipse? What do you know about the Skull Princess if anything? And finally I would like to know what sort of magic this barrier that protects the city uses?" Vanitas said before summoning his keyblade to make himself look a little more imposing. Having a weapon on him made him much more threatening, he also summoned a horde of his unversed to show up next to him as a way to scare the Queen into submission. Best way to get those answers right?

Hansel observed as they sped away from the danger behind towards the kingdom that Vanitas was in. He was the one member that didn't really seem all that into the team spirit, but an ally was an ally so Hansel just remained silent as they looked for him. It worried Hansel somewhat that this place was for Humans only, he was probably going to be stuck away from the group guarding the ship.

Both Red and Squirtle sighed in relief that there was no time for singing. Ivysaur might have been disappointed, however, if she were outside her Pokéball.
“You’re just going to take command of their ship?” Red blinked at Madotsuki in amused disbelief. “Aren’t you at least going to battle them for it first?” Squirtle joined in the look of bemused amusement.

“Humanity…check.” Red inspected himself, getting a thumbs up from Squirtle.

“And just how do you plan to crush them?” Squirtle asked, equally curious for the source of Madotsuki’s bravado.

The Queen watched as the figure known as Vanitas had arrived in order to gain more power to himself. “Who are you nyah? Are you coming to threaten me?” The Queen asked. It seemed as though she wasn’t taking Vanitas seriously with his threats, and simply laughed at him, even when he took out his keyblade and threatened the Queen with it.

She was intrigued though, that he wanted answers about what was happening outside, such as the monsters and the blood eclipse. “Oh people like you. Always asking, asking, asking.” The Queen said, but she smiled.

“But since you’re going to die anyway. I might as well enlighten you about the threats outside this Kingdom.” The Queen explained.

“You see, the fair citizens here dub the moon the blood eclipse, but I prefer the term to it and the monsters that appear when it’s summoned, nightmares. Since they’re represented by Madotsuki's nightmares.” The Queen said, somehow knowing Madotsuki’s name despite not seeing the girl.

It was Madotsuki’s dreamscape after all.

“Mainly her anxiety and stress from her previous life from her own world, that she turned into monsters. She did this after reading a manga that she read from a classmate of hers from school, I believe her name was Shirasagi Yumiko.” The Queen tried to remember the name of Madotsuki’s classmate.

“Anyway, some of the monsters that appeared in the manga inspired her to turn her resentments of her previous life into them and so we live in constant fear of them. Especially since the Nightmare Item is around, which means Madotsuki cannot control them or her dream world again unless the item is found and destroyed.” The Queen waltzed over towards a window, showing the Docks from her Castle.

“Oh, I do hope she manages to make this world better for us that was created with her imagination.” She then glared at Vanitas.

“And as for you. For disrupting this day of peace I had planned your whims and your emo makeup, I shall recall my guards just to throw you in my scullery dungeon, where you will spend the rest of your days mining for broccoli, gold, silver, bronze and whatever else people mine for in the real world.” The Queen then proceeded to waltz over towards a telephone, where she slowly dialed for the guards.

It was a long number, so Vanitas had plenty of time to stop her from calling the guards.

He can also just run away, because attacking the ruler of this Kingdom could prove disastrous for him.

“We’re close to that Castle, so we should be in the Docks any minute now.” Madotsuki said, looking down at everyone else on the ship.

Red and Akechi questioning Madotsuki’s sudden takeover of the ship, inspired the Skeleton Pirate to speak up for himself and his crew. “They’re right, you really should give control of the ship back to us young lady. You should fight us—But before he could finish, a sudden knife flew over towards the Skeleton Pirate Leader’s forehead, causing him to fall over as Madotsuki jumped over from the steering wheel and removed her knife from his head, before looking at everyone else on the ship.

“Anyone else have any objections?” Madotsuki asked.

When the Ship suddenly crashed into the Docks of the Kingdom.

“We’re here.” Madotsuki announced, before walking over towards the edge of the ship and looking at Red, Akechi, Squirtle and Hansel.

“Let’s find Vanitas as soon as possible and get back on the road to finding the Nightmare Item. He has to have made it here somehow. Unless he got torn apart by those Eclipse monsters.” Madotsuki said, but she quickly ran back towards the steering wheel, so she could pull a lever next to it, which summoned a large anchor that prevented the ship from leaving.

“That’s so none of you can try and escape with our ship, and just to make sure that the Anchor sticks.” Madotsuki pulls the lever back even more.

Until it snaps off it as the Skeletons gasp.

“Okay, let’s go.” Madotsuki would walk over towards her team, ready to go down to the Docks to begin their search for Vanitas.

Madousuki was awfully confident and violent with these undead. Are they such pushovers, or are they going to betray them soon? He wasn't sure that this was the best course of action, but he didn't have any significant alternative either, so Hansel let it go.

Hansel nods but scratches where a chin might be if he had one. "If They Are Not Friendly To Non-Humans, Should I Really Go Along?"

He had no compunctions with going and getting attacked along the way, except that he didn't feel that it would be good for the group to get held up on his account. They needed speed right now to get in and get out, and that wasn't helped by a lot of unnecessary fighting.

“…” “…” A stunned Red shook his head no objections and cowering in his arms, Squirtle could only pop his head back out of his shell and do the same. Not even Espeon on a bad whisker day got that scary.

“…But how would We sail away when we get back if the anchor’s broke-?” Squirtle asked before getting his mouth covered by Red, who incidentally was still carrying him off the ship.
“-Don’t question it. Just smile and wave.” Red insisted, hustling behind Madosuki off the ship. Were they hostages in this mission now?

This woman was not afraid of him at all it seemed, that and she had a really annoying tone of voice. But he did learn quite a bit about this world despite that. As she threatened him in turn that he would spend the rest of his life in a dungeon Vanitas quickly threw his keyblade at the phone the queen was dialing up, instantly breaking it. "I don't think so. You are not throwing me in a dungeon to rot away forever. The fact you are self aware that this is a dreamscape makes it more interesting though. It means the brat has a lot more going on in her head than I gave her credit for. Now if you will excuse me I have other places to be, enjoy your vacation or whatever." Vanitas said as he then ran out of the castle then down to the docks, recalling his keyblade to his hand as it then vanished from the broken phone.

Looking around for the others he noticed something he would not expect, a pirate crew of sorts made up entirely of skeletons. That and he noticed the rest of his group was with them as well. As he approached the docks, Vanitas got some stares as he ran past the others, it would take a while for the news of his exploits to reach the rest of this kingdom after all he did break the phone the queen was going to use to call the guards on him. What better way to make a daring escape than a boat right? Well he could always just use a corridor of darkness but he didn't really feel like risking that in a dreamscape made up entirely by the brat's thoughts and memories.

As he approached the boat he then without much effort jumped up high onto the boat before it docked and landed on the floor of the deck. "So you guys were able to make it here after all. I could have sworn you were all dead, good for you then." Vanitas said as a snide comment. "I got some information you might want but I may have become a wanted man in the process, no big deal really." Vanitas said hinting at something greater that happened between himself and the queen.

As Madotsuki approached the castle from the docks, she stopped when she saw someone approaching the group. Fortunately it was the person that the group was looking for: Vanitas. Looks like they don’t have to go that far into the Kingdom after all if Hansel was relieved by that.

“Ah, and I see you’re okay as well, despite the snarky comment.” Akechi looked, somewhat relieved that Vanitas was alright, although Madotsuki was suspicious as to how he got to the docks.

“What is this Information?” She asked Vanitas.

And that was when the group heard an enormous scream of anger coming from the Castle, as Madotsuki and Akechi looked up towards it.

To see the roof suddenly blown off, which landed in the ocean.

Which dissolved due to the acid water.

Soon, two large green hands clamped onto the remains of the Castle Room. Its nails were sharp and long, as well as blood red as something began to climb out of it.

A tallish monstrous woman with long hair that went down to the Kingdom, and her face was red with anger. She climbed out of the castle and roared which echoed through both the Human Kingdom and the Fairy Kingdom next to it.

Before she set her sights down at the docks, where the group was.

Madotsuki took out her knife again and aimed it towards the Monster Queen now that she had transformed.

“Are we really going to deal with this? We can take the boat and get out of here and go back to what we’re supposed to be doing.” Madotsuki told the rest of the group. She was prepared to fight the Monster Queen, even if it might take awhile, or the group can just get back onto the boat and drive off towards the Island they were supposed to be going to.

And outrun the Queen as well, who roared as she began climbing down from the Castle and towards the Dock. She was going to fight them very soon.

“Hey it’s that guy! Great!” Red sighed in relief that the party was regrouping.
“Great. It’s that guy.” Squirtle sighed in exasperation, rolling his eyes. “Funny, we hoped the same about you.” Just what they needed: more edge. “Squirtle!” Red hushed his rude Tiny Turtle.

“The information doesn’t have to do with That, by any chance, does it?” Red asked as the roof of the castle was blown off into the acid ocean.
“Woah! That looks like a Mega Yveltal!” Squirtle gasped in terror.
“Might make a useful addition to the team if we could catch it…” Red pondered out loud.
“Mindscape! We can’t! We Can’t!” Squirtle hastily reminded him, only for him to snap his fingers in disappointment.
“Can’t catch it, didn’t get to heal my team, don’t have the time to waste. I say we Run.” Red voted to get back to the boat and sail away. What a Whismur.

So Vanitas was about to give them the information he had learned that was until Red pointed out that the roof of the castle had blown up and out from it came a monstrous hulking woman from the top of it with many ugly features. Vanitas just stood there almost unfazed as he tilted his head in confusion before ultimately realizing what was going on. "Oh." he said in a monotone and almost calm voice. "Yeah that would be it alright. I just asked the queen some questions and she gave me this information, guess she didn't like how I was treating her because she tried to call the guards on me, I broke her phone before she could then that was that." Vanitas said with a shrug. "Or at least it was supposed to be, never thought she'd become this thing, surprising." Vanitas once again sounded unfazed. "I'll tell you what I learned when we get out of this place, these skeleton guys your new allies? Well whatever we need to get the heck out of here. I know my limits and that clearly screams danger in my instincts. However I won't just let her do as she pleases, time I kick it up a notch!" Vanitas said as darkness formed around him as he then would then conjure a huge Unversed right at this hulking woman. It would stall their advance allowing the party to escape.

(I am using this out of combat and without a roll so hopefully I can just do as I please here, think of it like the time I used Aqua Healing on the Father Night thread. They won't be acting as a summon, more as a story hook.)

"Come forth my Ultra Trinity Armor!" Vanitas said as summoned a huge hulking Unversed right in front of him. This would go into the kingdom for a battle of the titans and would help them escape. "Get this rickety boat moving, it can only hold her off for so long!" Vanitas commanded as he waited for them to set off. His Ultra Trinity Armor actually looked like a good thing in comparison to the queen who was a hulking beast. It was white and gold in its color scheme but it was just as big as the queen in her new form and stood in the way of her advance. To any onlookers to this scene it would appear to be a angel of sorts descended to stop this monster that just came out of nowhere. Vanitas knew that wasn't the case as his Ultra Trinity Armor was made out of negative emotions, it was far from what the others may have thought of it.

Urged on by the others, Hansel had of course followed. His concerns were cut short with Vanitas's quick appearance and him being chased by what was apparently the queen of this place. Glancing at Vanitas and his newly summoned.. thing, He couldn't help but consider that he might hurt the party with these solo adventures and seemingly dark powers. But who was he to judge Vanitas when Hansel was a Nightmare of the jail himself. Until something more overt happened, it was just a distraction to doubt his allies.

Already injured, Hansel wanted to avoid combat when possible. Simply nodding, he followed the group back onto the boat, and stood where he could see the queen's approach, ready to push her back if needed.

With most of the group wanting to return to the Boat and get the hell out of this Kingdom, Madotsuki definitely agreed with that, and she didn’t want to fight some kaijiu sized Queen today anyway.

However Vantias was going to leave no stone unturned by the looks of things, and he started to use his darkness to make a distraction, which was some mecha looking heartless thing at least, that’s what Madotsuki thought it looked like.

“Alright mecha boy, but you better rejoin us. And avoid the acidic ocean if you reach that far.” Madotsuki warned Vant before she turned and ran back towards the Boat.

“Well, let’s go.” Madotsuki told Red, his Pokemon and Hansel in order to let Vanitas finish off the Queen.

Who wasn’t entirely in favour of the group leaving.

“OH NO YOU DON’T! NOBODY LEAVES HERE WHILE I’M PISSED OFF!” The Queen screamed down at the group as her eyes suddenly glowed blue, as she lifted her arms upwards.

Where the sea began to move in wild directions as Madotsuki briefly stopped when she got near the boat.

“Prepare yourselves!” Madotsuki warned the group as the ocean began spinning in multiple crazy directions which shot itself towards the Docks, and towards the group.

(To dodge the oncoming ocean wave, you must roll a 13 in DEX, otherwise, you will gain 40% damage and a 100% chance of getting the burned status.)

Madotsuki jumped past multiple bits of acid water as she began climbing up the anchor. Unfortunately for her, the anchor rope broke, causing the rest of it to plunge into the depths of the acid ocean. Fortunately for Madotsuki she had made it onto the boat.

Unfortunately she was the only member of the group who made it up to the boat. She looked down towards the rest of the group.

“Damn it, this stupid boat doesn’t have anymore boat that I can throw down.” Madotsuki said she was about to ask if either Red or Hansel can throw themselves up onto the boat when he noticed that the skeleton pirates had broken free from their restraints.

“Right, listen here little girl!” The Captain said, pointing to the left.

“It’s one thing to take over our boat without permission, but to tie us up, that’s crossing the line!” The Captain said.

To which Madotsuki looked at them and paused.

A few minutes later, after some screaming, Madotsuki threw a rope down towards Red, his Pokemon and Hansel.

Made out of the Skeleton Pirates. They landed into the boiling ocean, where it began to burn them as they screamed in agony.

Madotsuki didn’t care. They weren’t real compared to her and her group, they were just figments created by her in her current dream world that the group were in.

“Get up here so we can get a move on getting the nightmare item and finishing this mission!” Madotsuki yelled down towards the group. However the climb looked like it was going to be dangerous.

Due to the Queen creating multiple tremors to throw Red and Hansel off of their mark.

(For Red, His Pokemon, Van and Hansel: To climb back onto the boat, you must roll a 16 in STR in reaching the top and getting to Madotsuki. If you fail, you'll fall back down onto the dock and must deal with the Queen's wrath next turn. You all have three shots to climb up to the boat in the next turn cycle.)

"AND AS FOR---But before The Queen could finish, she was stunned by the unversed distraction from Vanitas, which gave the group more time to get onto the boat.

“Broke her phone? She looks like you broke her Switch!” Squirtle squawked at Vanitas, blaming her for the Queen’s rampage.
“So… These Unversed of yours… Are they each single-use only?” Red took a moment to appreciate the brilliantly glistening Dark-Type Vanitas had summoned as they all fled to the boat.
“Lucky he doesn’t use us like that, huh?” Squirtle elbowed Hansel with a wink. Red’s only response was a squint that said not to give him any ideas.

Ideas would really come in handy now as the Queen decided to use the very ocean the party was fleeing toward against them.

“Now how do we get onto the boat without dissolving our shins?” Red pondered out loud after Madotsuki broke the anchor. “I know! Ivysaur’s vine whip could-” He got the idea he was looking for when the Ghost-Type pirate crew began to vengefully accost Madotsuki.
“Uh oh! They broke free! Quick Squirtle! Use-” Red picked up Squirtle and was about to toss him to her rescue when she took them down single-handedly.
“…This chick’s metal as a Ferrothorn.” Squirtle panted, stunned at chain made of pirate bones crackled down the side of the boat. “…I fear her more with each passing second.”

Who do you boys fear more? The Queen or the Queen? Get on the boat already!

Hansel looked with surprise as the ocean suddenly rushed towards the group. With little choice, he grunted and held his arms to block his face, as the burning water washed over him. Madosuki rushed up onto the boat, but there wasn't enough time to react, and 3 including Hansel were left behind. Hansel looked back at the rampaging Queen and sighed, and he tried once to climb the boat without the rope while Red and Squirtle made their way on the rope, but it was doomed to failure from the start as he couldn't get a good grip.

Hansel looked back, and saw that Squirtle had failed to climb up onto the boat. This was already a familiar situation, so Hansel lumbered up to him and quickly apologized. "I'm Sorry To Do This Again." He tried to grab onto Squirtle's shell once again to throw him onto the deck. Then he grabbed the rope himself and hauled himself up the rope.

Hansel started to breathe heavily as he sat heavily onto the deck, looking at the Queen coming at them. He could feel the heavy coating of acid burning through his skin, the wood he sat on was sizzling as the acid dripped onto it. The pain made him wince, sure that this was probably going to finish him off. Hansel could only think to himself, What happens if I die in this dream? Will this affect me outside?

"I have no idea what you are talking about brat, I'm right over here." Vanitas said as he would then see the incoming wave coming from the queen before using his shield to block it. 

Now the trick was to try to get back on the boat.

Yeah no Vanitas wasn't going to get on the boat anytime soon. Looks like he had to fight her after all.
