"Wooooooow!" A boy awaited an elevator to lift him to a corner of this high-tech battlefield. Once there, he gaped in total awe at the massive stadium, filled with a roaring crowd waiting for an exciting match. He just couldn't believe this, for he dreamed of battling Pokemon in an epic-looking stadium like this. Course, the Pokemon stadium didn't look as futuristic and fancy as this. "I can't believe this, Pikachu!! My first Pokemon match in a stadium, and these people are here to watch me battle!"

"Pikapi..." the rodent, on his shoulder, shook his head. He's pretty sure that these people are here to watch HIM fight. After all, Pikachu was one of the Original Eight, alongside legends like Mario, Samus, Fox, Link, Donkey Kong, Kirby, and Yoshi. His trainer couldn't hear, but some of the people in the stands were...kind of angry that the famed Pokemon has a trainer.

"Hey! Who's that little twerp?" 

"Is that his trainer? How is that even possible?"

"Pikachu's too good to have a trainer!"

"He looks like a stupid brat!"

"Go back Jersey, you snot!!"

"Hahahaha!" Ash waved to the crowd, oblivious to the cruel comments within the stands.

[Champion of Alola, Moon]

Moon looked around at the outcries in mild bewilderment. She knew Pikachu was considered super cute and popular but this seemed a bit extreme. Still the trainer did not seem bothered by it. Been a while since she has had a casual Pokemon Battle. Could be fun. The Alolan Trainer decided to dig through her quiver before throwing her Pokeball down to release an owl archer.

The trainer got on the bird's back as it swooped into the air before landing onto the battlefield with it's entrance. It's trainer jumped back off as she made to face Ash. "Alola~!" She declares with a handmotion in greeting. "I am the first and only champion of Alola, Moon and this is my partner, Robin!" she continues with a hand on her bird's shoulder... who was taller than her. "If it's a battle you want I can give it to you! Ready to fly, Robin?" Moon asked, looking to the clearly a Flying Type she brought to an Electric Fight.

For a moment, Ash was afraid that no one would come to challenge him. Not like he wanted to get embarrassed in front of all these people, after all. He had enough of that back a Pallet Town, because kids made fun of his dream to be a Pokemon Master. They say that doesn't exist, but he'll show them. And his opponent...he couldn't believe it, but he's actually going to fight a Champion? Already?! He was getting so many goosebumps, he was so excited. "A Champion?! Wow, that is awesome! This is gonna be awesome!"

Great, a protagonist. A Champion one at that. That kind of title just easily bends to protagonists so easily. these days, Pikachu sighed. Knowing his luck, this girl has a Legendary in her belt. Those fold to protagonists these days, too. "Pika..."

Adjusting his cap, "I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town, and it's an honor to fight a Champion!" Flicking a Pokeball off his belt, he snatched it, "Let's battle!" And tossed it. "I choose you! Butterfree!!"

BON!!!

Blasting out of the ball came a rather large butterfly just waddling out to loosen his body for the match. "Freeeee~!"

"Alright, Butterfree! Use Gust attack!!" Ash ordered, punching the air.

"Freee!!!" Fluttering high, Butterfree swung his wings forward to push the air right toward the owl creatures not once...

Gust: [Light DEX DMG 8%] Butterfree pushes a blast of wind with his wings at his foe. This attack can reach foes high in the sky.

"Pallet Town, huh? I have fought a couple people from Pallet Town before and they were really strong. This could be really fun," Moon remembered her fight with Green and Red in front of the Battle Tree. Was her toughest fight for a while. "A Butterfree, huh? Interesting choice but not about to underestimate it. Let's see what you have!" Moon declared in challenge as she posed and Robin gave an affirmitive nod.

"You can't get caught up in that wind but that shouldn't be a problem for you, Robin! Fly around the gust until you have an opportunity!" Moon directed to which Robin did so by taking to the air and flying with the wind Butterfree stirred up narrowly dodging the force of the attack as he looked for the opening. Can't make gusts forever.

"Now, Robin, use Seed Bomb!" she ordered to which the ghost owl flew up and primed an explosive seed attached to a quill arrow on his vine and pulled back in aim. Then he unloaded the Seed Bomb from the front the arrow flying towards Butterfree before exploding in a grand detonation of where the bug type was. Dust stirred up in the air and by the time it settled... the opposing Pokemon was gone without a trace. Decidueye just vanished yet his trainer did not seem worried.

"Phantom Force," Moon said simply. In the confusion of the sudden disappearance the grass ghost type w0uld appear like a gust of wind behind Butterfree with a quill arrow already primed to fire into it's back which it did with a "Decidueye..." to attempt to catch his opponent off guard.

"FREEE!!" The seed's explosion engulfed the butterfly before spitting him out, flames flickered on his body.

"BUTTERFREE!!" Ash cried, gaping at that massive blast. It was just...so much power! And it looks that it burned poor Butterfree. "Quick, dodge it!!"

The bug managed to catch himself before he could hit the ground. "FREE!!" Barely, Butterfree dodged the next bomb. "FRE?!"

But then an arrow came at it, scaring the bug enough to ignite psychic energy from his body to barely stop the arrow.

If she really is a champion, then she easily proved that. Ash is still a beginner, and he's already fighting a pro like her. But he can't back out now. There's defiantly a way to show her that he won't go down so easily, and he may got her Pokemon at a likely spot. "Go, Butterfree! Use Tailwind!!"

"Freeeeeeee!!" As he kept the arrow away, Butterfree rapidly flapped his wings, causing winds to blast behind him.

Tailwind: Butterfree flaps his wings, summoning a gust of wind from behind that makes him and his allies faster. Raises his and allies' DEX by +3, even if Butterfree leaves the field. 3 turn cooldown AFTER the effect ends.

"Now use Energy Ball!!"

"FREEEEE!!!" With the winds helping him, Butterfree unleashed a green energy blast into the arrow and let it fly at the owl.

Energy Ball: [Heavy WIS DMG 25%] Butterfree launched a ball of plant energy at the foe. This has a 10% chance of raising Butterfree's and allies WIS damage by 5%, but only against that foe, for two turns. 2-Turn cooldown
