Ghor continued to observe the situation as it unfolded, though with a group this big, there was only so much he could absorb and keep track of. There were a couple of lingering thoughts left in him, suspicions about the stories that the islanders have weaved. It was a bit uncanny, because they seemed normal on the surface, it was what lied underneath that didn’t sit well with him. They just seemed so calm despite the inherent dangers around them. It seemed he wasn’t the only one to think that either. Yumiko expressed her concerns to him, which Ghor nodded along to.
“Mm, I think it would be a good precaution to have them all checked before admitting them into the Life Sphere” Ghor whispered with suspicion. “It could just be that their minds are boggled from however they transferred over to Li, it’s not an uncommon occurrence. But something is certainly not right.” Ghor also held his gaze over the group, though his optics drifted further down the room as Yukari took notice of their gaze.
It seemed that despite the doubts that were cast around the room about Dinah’s capabilities and status, she was still capable of preforming miracles. The strange girl simply glowed, recovering much faster than even Ghor had suspected. Upon being reawaken, the mystery girl seemed to think it was important to go into a silique about her name, life, and passion. Everyone seemed to be in awe of her radiance, the boys wagging their tongues at the teenager. Supposedly she was beautiful to the other humans, Ghor couldn’t quite see it, but then again, he’s never found humans all that attractive. Primarily, it was their non-digitigrade legs, they seemed so awkward. Regardless, whether or not her mere words could be believed, one thing was for certain, she wasn’t short of any self confidence.
Regardless of the miracles performed, the group would soon break up, most being concerned about what was for lunch. Odd, shouldn’t they be bracing for the tropical storm that was hitting the island? Perhaps it wasn’t as serious as it seemed. Yumiko was determined to find answers about what happened to her school, so perhaps that was the most important lead to follow.
With the mention of the dark hour and the portrait of a dark deity that seemed to make Death jealous, Ghor had a suspicious feeling that whatever was going on involved her. The islanders spoke of a darkness earlier, something that was creeping around the island and attacking people. If she was known as Mother Night, it would make sense that darkness was her weapon, but really, that was just conjecture. Until something more concrete arose, there was no reason to jump to the conclusion that a god was influencing matters.
As they stopped at the door, Yumiko stopped to question what everyone would be doing. Naturally, it would make sense for the others to do their own investigating while Yumiko looked further into her past. Perhaps there were things that she would prefer to keep private. Ghor wouldn’t question such things.
Ghor became a bit hesitant at the mention of contacting the Life Sphere. Logical as it was to make a call for backup or an extra mode of transport, Ghor was still a fugitive. Being the Absolution’s chief engineer came with infamy, and he would prefer that the Life Sphere didn’t know his location. It was a crime that he would have to face justice for, he knew that much, but it wasn’t his time just yet.
That said, he couldn’t condemn these people to a worse fate because of his own selfish desires. A fleet of ships or aircraft for evacuation would be far more desirable than trying to cram a bunch of people into his gunship and hoof it the rest of the way with whoever was leftover. “Hmm, I’ll see what I can do. If I can find a radio, I might be able to boost its signal strong enough to get through the storm’s interference” he logically reasoned.
With that, he politely nodded to his cohorts before walking off to explore the remainder of the mansion, keeping his optics peeled for anything that could be useful to his plight.

Eventually, Ghor stumbled upon such a radio, seemed to be in good condition as well. He set the radio down, then opened his holographic wrist device, clicking a few things as he tried to sync them together. Interference from the storm continued to output static, leaving him to merely groan and continue to troubleshoot the problem. That was the thing with working with technology, sometimes it works like magic, other times it just leaves you pounding your head against a wall.1d20+4·1d20+2
