[Princess Zelda of Calamity]

Zelda was walking towards the location of the village with her bodyguards assumingly close by. She kept an eye on her Sheikah Slate periodically to make sure they were heading towards the right co-ordinates. "... The village should be nearby so we're almost there..." Zelda began before coming to a stop. According to the sky's color it should be about mid day right now... They don't have any clues to where the old lady might be hiding or that she was even still here.

It was a huge risk coming all this way on a rumor especially when the target of said rumors could be long gone. Still, Zelda had faith that there would still be traces of whoever was here at the very least. "... That's strange, I don't see any sign of hostiles here for a while... Why could that be..." It was almost too quiet. Still the village was directly in front of them at this point, looking like an old fantasy village in construction, although it has seen better days. Reminded Zelda of some areas of Hyrule looked now but she could not dwell on that.

"The scouts said there should be Sheikah Runes written on some of the walls in the village. We should look for clues there first. If they really are Sheikah in origin then they means the odds it's her are higher and if I can decipher them they might even have a message," Zelda suggested as she turned towards her bodyguards.

Haseo had signed up for guard duty once more, not that he minded much really since it was his job to help people. Still though this whole thing reminded him of that day he and Atoli were at the area word of Submissive Tragedy's 1000 Oaks. This girl Zelda sure liked to talk didn't she? She was the girl he fought before in the coliseum right? Oh yeah she was that one with the weird slate thing. She really did remind him of Atoli though, especially with the blonde hair and the constant talking. Anyway what were the Sheikah? That made him rather curious to be honest.

Thinking of striking up some conversation Haseo would bring up a little about his own world, rather The World which was a game and where Haseo was from. They didn't need to know his body was from a game spec, especially since this Zelda girl seemed so interested in the runes around the next area they were headed to, better not spoil the mood right?

Haseo was in his usual first form since well that was his default form despite how powerful some of the others may be. Well if he is a bodyguard again he may need to use his Xth form this time. Healing was important and he had a pretty powerful healing spell in the Xth form's arsenal well despite only being able to use it once in a while. It was a good trade off at least. He was paying attention of course but he didn't really understand what these runes and such were supposed to be or even look like, but according to Zelda they were important.

"Is this Sheikah stuff like some sort of technology or power source?" he would ask as he had no idea what it was. "Back home we have something similar, we use steam as a power source and it runs our daily lives as our main tech." That was part of the lore from The World. Steam was powering most of the cities, engines and even some weaponry. Steampunk stuff always interested him so he wondered if Zelda would like it. Mission first though. "Color me interested in the Sheikah if so. I'm guessing they are some sort of culture as well from the way you describe it." Haseo was actually interested but had his guard up just incase anything popped up to hurt Zelda.

The Link of the Wild followed Zelda closely, keeping an eye out for anything dangerous that might pop out from behind walls and try to attack them. This was something he was more used to doing (before his 100-year slumber), and really, that kind of familiarity was welcomed by Link.

Accompanying them was this young man, Haseo - an interesting fellow by looks alone. Though, currently, that's where Link's thoughts of him end - aside from his bout of curiosity over Sheikah artifacts, that was the most he knew of the man. Link would turn to face the other two as they talked, to make sure they knew he was listening.

As they reached the ruined village, Link found himself in another, all-too-familiar scenery: remnants of a civilization that once was. The sting dulled over time, but it never really went away. Yet, places like these also got him extremely curious of what could be hiding within this lonely place. Maybe a chest or two to open...?

Regardless, currently his mission was to help Zelda find Impa. So they needed to seek out what appeared to be Sheikah runes imprinted over some of the walls within the village? It was worth the try. "...!" Link nodded in acknowledgement of Zelda's words, looking quite ready to go searching.

"Oh right, guess that would be useful to know, wouldn't it..." She considered it for a moment... Well he already came this far and it's not like a kingdom can have a secret with no kingdom... "Hm... You're kind of right on all fronts. Sheikah were a tribe that were very advanced when it came to technology. Their technology is ones like this Slate, advanced for our world's time and beyond anything we currently had, powered by a mystical energy... However nowadays the Sheikah don't invent so much. That changed a long time ago. All we have now is remnants they buried and ruins. I research them and Link keeps me safe," She explains as she walked through the town, looking at the walls as if trying to find something.

"... The Sheikah Runes are a form of writing that only they and their descendants use. It can hold power but it's also for traditional writing," she added. "Use of steam as a powersource does sound fascinating though. Maybe-..." She began before looking up at a wall with glowing blue symbols on it.

"This is it! Okay, just give me a few minutes. I'm a bit rusty but I should be able to decipher this-..." She began, looking close to the wall before suddenly a pair of plain looking individuals in traveling clothes would walk up to them.

"Hello, travelers. I see you come to see about the rumors of someone living in this old town as well?" The lady of the two asked as the other guy exchanged a smile towards Link and Haseo.

"Oh yes, I did not think anyone else would be out here as well..." Zelda glanced to the two but she seemed too engrossed in her reading to notice anything off outside a pair of travelers this far out.

(Link and Haseo! Give me a perception (WIS) to see how perceptive you are. Or you could just attack the pair for no reason if you're that violent)

Link followed Zelda closely as she they went in the town and she gave a short explanation of the Sheikah tribe to Haseo. Link didn't interject during the conversation, only nodding in agreement once Zelda mentioned him keeping her safe while she did her research.

The hero of the wild kept his eyes peeled as the team surveyed walls and streets for Sheikah writing for any kind of threat that could be out and about the town. Sometimes, he took a moment to look at walls in specific to check for writing, but so far no dice. That was, until Zelda found one writing in glimmering blue. Well, that would ease up the search a lot.

That's when two plain-looking people came toward the trio, dressed in travelling clothes, who seemingly heard about the rumor about Impa. "..."

Zelda may have been unable to pay much attention as she deciphered the writing, but Link knew something was up. The duo of travelers were suspicious. Perhaps they were...Yiga? Or could they be someone else? Regardless, Link kept himself close to Zelda, preparing himself to unsheathe the Master Sword at a moment's notice in case they tried something against them.

While Haseo had originally asked about the Sheikah he didn't expect Zelda to go this in-depth with the discussion. This was definitely something he asked for though so he couldn't blame her for the detailed explanation when he was the one who prompted this in the first place. Still it did seem to go on for a while but he listened in despite not wanting to at some points in the conversation. 

As she stopped to think about Steam as a power source she was soon cut off by the location of a rune that she needed to decipher. Granted Haseo knew what they were now but had no way to understand what kind of language this could be or how to properly translate it. "I guess that can slate translate Sheikah runes as well? It would make sense really since that was also Sheikah made from what you are telling me." 

As the pair of people surfaced though Haseo did not notice them until now. They definitely put Link on guard though after looking at them. But they knew about the rumor somehow. Were they also Sheikah? That could be likely but he had to check to be sure.

"Huh? I guess they're just a harmless travelers. Still you two shouldn't be out here so far away from civilization, it is dangerous out here." Haseo warned them. Still he had a bad feeling about this so he kept on guard just in case.

"... Well, more I studied the language enough to have a decent handle on it. It's important for understanding quite a bit of their ruins," Zelda offhandedly commented to Haseo as the travelers watched them. However she noticed Link's shift in motion towards her. "Link...?" Zelda asked. With his alertness he might notice their change in posture and concealing something on their person. Hidden weapons.

"Yes, you're right. It is very dangerous out here. We'll make sure to return soon..." The male traveler said before he smirked and suddenly vanished in smoke. The other traveler smoked as well before turning into a female Yiga and suddenly making a jumping attack towards Zelda with a scythe like weapon!

(Link! You are perceptive and quick enough to guard Zelda from the Yiga Assassin. She is making a slash for Zelda but you are taking it in her stead. A 10 or higher in DEX will allow you to completely parry the blow since you're prepared. Failure to do so  results in 15% damage but Zelda will still be safe.)

After the attack the other Yiga would reappear behind Haseo and attempt to  stab him in the back with a sword.

(Haseo! You are less prepared than Link is. Roll 18 or higher in WIS to avoid the sneak attack or take 20 damage and Mortal Wound)

"As soon as we have your heads to take back to Master Koga!" he declared after his attack.

"The Yiga?! I was hoping their influence wouldn't reach this world..." Zelda doesn't seem ready to take actions against the assault just yet as she is still recovering from the shock of the old foes.

"Okay good to know you are going to head home as soon as possible." Haseo said as he went to turn toward the other two. "See it's fine guys, they'll go home and....." but as soon as he said that he was cut off by the smell of smoke and turned back to see they were ninja in disguise.

"What the?!" Haseo gasped in surprise. As they mentioned they would try to take their heads to a Master Koga. That made his instincts kick in that could easily be recognized as the Terror of Death's force of will. The sneak attack just now was likely to be noticed by Haseo if he was sharp enough.

The Terror of Death's instincts were sharp as ever as he held up one of his Twin Blades to parry the blow, as Haseo spun around to counter the blow with his own blade making contact with their blade, then afterward using a sharp kick to knock back the Yiga away from him. "I knew something was off, but I couldn't help the fact I wasn't listening to my instincts. Goes to show I should be listening to them much more often." 

"You messed with the wrong people if you think you can take us down that easily." Haseo said with a smirk. 

First Haseo would strike at the Yiga Male with a Gale Blade attack. Doing this Haseo struck once with his left blade then the right blade finished off by a front flip kick onto the foe.

Would he use Beast Awakening this early in the game? No he would just use his Twin Blades in a combo instead.

And lastly after that Haseo would get in near where Link was to guard Zelda. This was his mission after all and he needed to be better about it. "Sorry about that. Didn't expect ninja of all things to be after us." Haseo said in apology to Zelda for being fooled. "Yiga? Is that what these ninja guys are called? Still though they I won't let them get past me either way." Haseo said with confidence.

Link narrowed his eyes a bit as he noticed the change in posture. And those things concealed in them...weapons. The hero of the wild stood in ready...and just in time, they vanished into smoke.

"...!" Link quickly unsheathed the Master Sword and parried the blow meant for Zelda, pushing the Yiga member back with his blade. With narrowed eyes, the Hylian Champion stared down the enemies before them. In less than a moment, he rushed towards the two Yiga soldiers and delivered a wide-reaching spin slash to get both of them at once.

To continue his attacks, he rushed towards the female assassin, trying to attack her with a jumping slice, with the Master Sword striking the ground as he finished.

Taking advantage of the closed space, Link leapt from the female Yiga's shoulders and drew his Ancient Bow, placing and aiming a normal arrow towards the other Yiga soldier.

As he shot the arrow, Link maneuvered himself to a wall, to which he leapt from it and landed close to Zelda once more, sword and shield at the ready to protect once again.
