Ridley looked at the Gunship with a pair of binoculars as he sat on a vantage point. "Looks like they're on the move...whoever this mystery enemy is, I shall skewer them. That would prove to be entertaining." he mutters to himself.
"C-can we please not destroy the Gunship? I-I mean, there's a lot of interesting technology on the ship a-and I need to get my robot parts back..." Eggman-809 pleaded to the bandicoot at his side in a meek fashion. "Woah!" Crash replied in a dismissive manner, unamused by the sniveling scientist.
"Hold up. They're doing something." Ridley spoke, noticing the hull of the gunship opening up slowly. The three look at it expectantly, as a strange, oval object was suddenly placed on top of the ship. "What's this all about?" the space pirate questions, arching one of his non-existent eyebrows.
"I-I think it's a projector?" Eggman-809 replied, though the way he phrased it made him sound not so confident with his words. "T-they might transmit a message soon..."
"Woahwowahwoahwoahwoah!" Crash woah-ed frenetically, eager to jumped in and destroy the ship.
"Damn, they knew about our attack? We can't give up now. Black Shadow's fighting for his life back there, and I won't go down without a fight myself. Everyone, let's g--"
Just as Ridley tries to point towards the Absolution in an epic manner, the projector whirrs to life. It promptly displays a video, alongside a message.

"...oh." Ridley blinks as he takes in what he's witnessing. "I've been got."
Eggman-809 nods in shame. "M-me too."
"Oh" Crash adds insightfully.
The three then turn simultaneously to look at the reader. ...funny, I'm getting a sense of deja vu here.
