SPOILERS FOR UMINEKO EPISODE 5 & 6
Backstory: Furudo Erika is a genius detective who had decided to take a boat trip with her parents. During the time on the boat, she had decided to go swimming on the ship's pool room, but decided to stand outside to admire the beautiful air as well as herself. However, she had taken note of the oncoming typhoon that was due to hit soon and so, weary of standing outside for a bit longer, she took a life jacket and put it on her so she can stay outside some more.
However, the typhoon soon hit the boat, which caused Erika to slip from where she was standing and fell overboard from the boat. When she awoke, she found herself on the island of Rokkenjima, where the members of the Ushiromiya family were having their family conference, mainly to squabble over the inheritance that the patriarch of the family, Kinzo, was due to leave them with. Erika at first, didn't care as she was in somewhat of a daze when she awoke on the island, and eventually pulled herself to the island's rose gardens, where she found a white rose that she gave to someone that was in the garden.
A young girl named Maria, who was the daughter of one of the guests of the island, Rosa. After giving Maria the rose that she was actually looking for, Erika fainted, but Maria told everyone of Erika's presence and she was taken in to be cared for.
Knowing that she can't walk around the island with just a swimsuit, Krauss Ushiromiya, and his wife, Natsuhi, suggested that Erika wear one of the dresses that their ONLY child Jessica used to wear. Once she did, Erika welcomed herself to the Ushiromiya and proved to be a polite and well mannered guest the impressed everyone on the island, as well as her intelligence and how good she was at everything.
People wanted to be Erika, while she soaked up all of the attention that she was getting, because she was so perfect in every way. If she was a member of the Ushriomiya family, she would solve the inheritance problem in no time at all.
In fact, during her stay on the island, she did solve something.
After dinner that night, Erika departed to a guest house near the Ushriomiya family's manor, along with Jessica, Maria and two other people around her and Jessica's age, George Ushiromiya and...
HIM, Battler Ushiromiya.
Erika, still woozy from fallen over board, decided to sit out in playing cards with the cousins, who left for one of the bedrooms, however she had become, engrossed with something before they left for the guest house.
And that was a portrait of a woman in the Mansion, a woman named Beatrice, she was supposedly a mistress of Kinzo who died a long time ago, and is rumoured that she haunts the island, something of which Erika didn't believe. She became interested in the epitaph that was near her portrait, and solved it that night with Battler's help.
The reward for solving the epitaph was hidden gold under the Manor, as well as the title of family headship, Battler received both even if he didn't want it and felt bad as the current title of headship belonged to Jessica and he didn't want to take it from her, Erika didn't want the reward herself, no...
She wanted to wait until tomorrow and see Krauss, Natsuhi and Jessica's faces when they realise that Battler basically now owns the Island.
After the adults had found Battler and Erika, they had taken Battler back to the Manor so he can join in on the family meeting that night. Erika however, returned to the Guest House to have a drink at the guest building's bar. Rosa also returned to the guest building earlier then she intended too, with the excuse being that she wanted to check and see if Maria was asleep. But it was hinted that she left because she hated the conference and just used checking on Maria as an excuse to leave.
As Erika enjoyed her drink, she, had a hunch that Natushi was planning something and thus, made some all the windows in the guest house were locked and to be extra safe. She had taken out some duct tape and placed them on the doors so she can make sure someone entered the room if the tape breaks off.
Then, when Battler returned later that night, at 3AM when the conference had ended, he and Erika went to bed... But Erika didn't go to sleep.
Instead, she placed her ear on a wall to the room that Battler and the cousins were sleeping in and stayed like that for the rest of the night, where she heard someone enter the room and the sound of four people being smashed in. A few hours later, she heard the horrifying screams of Battler soon after.
The reason being that during the night, someone had entered the room and bludgeoned Jessica, George, Rosa and Maria to death, what's more Krauss has gone missing too and another person had been found dead. One of the island's servants, Genji was found in the servant room too, with nobody for sure knowing where he was, Erika however, quickly got to the bottom of the mystery of the four's death.
And nobody stopped her.
Knox 7: The detective must not himself commit the crime.
And Erika was a detective. Using her skills, her and the remaining members of the Ushriomiya family decided that Kinzo must be brought out of his study that he secluded himself in for questioning, however Natushi kept on objecting for some reason, fortunately, the group had managed to get into the study to see Kinzo.
Erika swore that Kinzo was in the room, however, he was not in the room despite searching everywhere, and thus, he too had gone missing.
Wanting to mourn the death of their children again, Natsuhi and fellow Ushiromiya family member, Eva headed back to the Guest Building with everyone else, only to find that all four corpses had gone missing, as did Genji's corpse. So they headed back to the manor's parlour to cool off, where Erika suspected that Natushi might have something to do with the murders, angering her to the point that she stormed off back into her room in the manor for a full hour.
And during that hour, another murder had occurred.
Eva's husband, Hideyoshi, left to one of the Manor's guest bedrooms to quietly mourn the loss of George. As he did, Natsuhi, who was hiding in the room's closet, came out of it and murdered Hideyoshi, before going back into the closet and hiding again before everyone can enter and find her.
The group found Hideyoshi's corpse and took him back to the Parlour. Natushi then left the closet to head back to her room, to make it seem like she was there the entire time, only for Erika to catch her in the act, cornered. Natushi confessed to the crime and was taken back to the Parlour to be interrogated.
Where she confessed another crime that she had committed 19 years ago. Where Kinzo (Who never liked her like everyone else in the family, despite what she thought.) Had given her a baby to look after, which she hated. And so gave it to a servant to look after during a particular windy day, she followed the servant and the baby up to a cliff, where the servant tripped thanks to a loose rock and Natushi...
Pushed both off of the cliff, and blamed it on Beatrice, who Erika knows IS NOT REAL.
Natushi had confessed, and that's all that mattered to Erika.
She had solved a great case, but so many lives were lost on Rokkenjima in the process.
Something of which Furudo Erika, doesn't care about.
Tea Party:
EXECUTE
Except, at the last minute of game five, Battler revealed that he was a suspect, thus making the game end without a proper culprit being revealed, he had kidnapped Krauss and killed him in order to make Natsuhi do as he says, revealing that he was the baby from 19 years ago. At first having thought to have died, he turned out to have lived and wanted revenge on Natsuhi for pushing him off of that cliff, he killed Jessica, George, Rosa, Maria and Genji too and hid their corpses, but before that, he made strange phone calls to Natsuhi and disguised his voice so she wouldn't discover who he was.
This angered Erika, as it meant that Natushi wasn't the sole suspect and thus he saved the game. When she wanted to take over it in order to make Bernkastal happy, she swore that in the next game, she will make it up to Bernkastal, who warned Erika that if she fails to find a proper suspect in the next game, which Battler was due to host. She was going to throw her in the worst world possible.
In the next game, Erika washed up on the shores of Rokkenjima once more, this time, she was properly aware of where she was and acted somewhat rude to the Ushiromiya's when she arrived and had dinner with them once more.
She tricked Battler into giving duct tape and didn't make the Knox 7 proclamation like she did in the last game. At first, this was thought that Erika was given herself a disadvantage, but she did this on purpose.
So when the people on the first twilight that died (Natsuhi, Eva, Rosa, Maria, Battler and Battler's step-mother Kyrie) Erika would go into every room that they died in and killed the woman, but not Battler, who supposedly escaped the guest bedroom where he died in and didn't die at all.
However, when Erika joined up with the remaining survivors at the guest building. She placed two of the three duct tapes that she had on the two doors that the eleven remaining survivors were in, thus making it impossible for them to return to the manor and help Battler escaped.
Battler outside of the game, theorised that he hid in the closet of the guest bedroom, then when Erika went to check out the room, and ripped the tape that was attached to that door. One of the woman would enter and take his place, but since Erika killed the five of them, it was impossible for them to take Battler's place either.
Thus, she had managed to trap Battler in a logic error, and he would of still been trapped, except, a new theory had came up, that one of the servants, Kanon, had teleported out of the guest house and towards the manor and took Battler's place using magic.
Erika, not wanting to make sure the murders had happened realistically, tried in vain to prove that Kanon wasn't there.
And she was right. Kanon wasn't in the closet...
Because he teleported out of it using magic, to Erika's frustration. She was defeated and shot several times by the red truth, supposedly killing her.
But then, she ended up on Li, ready to cause even more <good> chaos with logic.
