The Stadium was mysteriously flooded with three very blue fighters standing around. The battle of the seas was drawing near. This is an open challenge and the theme this time is water. Pick one or two of the opponents in a 2 on 2 or 1 on 1 battle. You may also pick any special rules you like as long as it's a Grudge Match.

Fighting for sport like this honestly felt like an affront to the local fire assassin.  I mean, if you run around and get seen by everyone, you're a pretty bad one, in Axel's opinion.  You're supposed to sneaky and stuff.  Of course, he doesn't really have that kind of luxury as a Keyblade wielder.  Which is a real shame - damn this thing.  Sort of.  Look, it was both convenient and not convenient to have at the same time.  Axel was just glad that formchanging it was a thing.

He had figured that it was about time for him to really get rolling with the whole 'Keyblade Master' thing - whatever was up with Xion didn't bode especially well, in his opinion, and he'd be damned if he wasn't strong enough to keep her safe - and Axel's on his way out here to meet up with his 'Master,' hopefully for a little sparring match.

"Yo, Master Aqua.  Don't kick your student's butt too hard in public, y'hear?  I've got a reputation to keep up."  He summons his Keyblade and gives it a little twirl.  He'll probably regret this, but, hey, if Aqua's a good teacher, maybe she'll work her magic and develop a real talent for this thing.  Would be a nice change of pace, considering that Sora could fight three Xehanorts at once and he struggled with just one or two.

It was one thing to jump in on a battle with water based girls but with someone like Axel it wouldn't feel right if they didn't hop in. Someone needed to keep him in good condition and that's where Aera and Dinah would shine. The two would join in for a 2 v 2 battle, at least that's what the plan was. Dinah is Aera's partner, together they are basically 1 unit anyway. 

"Think you can handle this much on your own Axel?" Aera teased him as she entered the arena. Aera had her sword at the ready while Dinah was flying near her. 

"I don't know maybe he can't deal with teaming up with us again." Dinah joined in on the teasing. 

"We're here to help out. Hope you don't mind it too much." Aera said with a smile. 

"Yeah we'll watch your back so you better watch ours." Dinah said as she floated nearby.

"Oh, Axel! Wasn't expecting to see you in the Stadium," Aqua greeted the other as they arrived... Well, guess this test was going to begin a bit sooner than she was expecting but she got where Axel was coming from as she nodded. "Alright, I accept your challenge, Axel. I'm afraid holding back would not be very good for you though. Show me everything you have and I'll give the best I can currently manage too..." Honestly she was a bit worried she might get shown up since her power is not what it used to be after getting lost in the Realms of Darkness. She summoned Brightcrest before noticing two allies coming to his side.

"... Well, this is fine. Hearts connected to ours give us strength after all..." Aqua smiles and nods to Aera and Dinah before looking to the mermaid that was still hanging around... She had a strong heart despite her timidness. She should do. "Seriri, right? In this case I hope I can count on you too," Aqua offers.

With that taken care of she turns to the others and activates her Command Style, Spell Weaver. A bright glow surrounded her body as she unleashed her magic power in the form of Spell Weaver, enhancing her magical and physical abilities for a moment. She then moved toward Axel, her keyblade glowing with magic power as she swung it at him in a magical combination attack in a dance like manner, adding a few magic enhanced kicks to her strikes.

Aqua would then jump back before focusing her magic into the tip of her Keyblade and then unleashing it in a barrage of destructive magic bubbles on Axel, Aera and Dinah in one fell swoop utilizing her Shotlock.

Seriri was ready to leave at Axel challenging Aqua but then a duo appeared to assist him and she was a bit interested in the pairing. However she found herself suddenly called upon by Aqua who was a tad surprised. "M-me? Well, okay... I guess I can give it a shot..." Seriri reluctantly nodded... it was still 3 on 2 wasn't it? Ah well, she didn't really have the heart to refuse the call for help.

Seriri looked to Aera before diving into the water surrounding the arena, she would then pop up by Aera, splashing magic enhanced water down upon her before blowing a wave of bubbles and then diving back into the water to create a damaging splash. At the end of the combination of attempting to assault Aera with water she would pop back up to fire a concentrated beam of water at her.

Seriri then took a deep breath before beginning to sing... a truly awful song. A song that was so loud and horrendously off key combined with the mind altering effects her magic songs had would cause incredibly painful headaches that would make it hard to concentrate. The terrible singing actually even had a voice crack to make it worst and Seriri lower herself into the water timidly blushing at that horrible display.

...Well, now, those were a couple of familiar faces.  Trying to get in on a little bit of the action, too, huh?  "Fine, fine.  I guess I can afford to babysit Dinah again."  If they wanted to give him shit, he could totally give it right back.  "Just as long as-Oh."  He'd been worried about Aqua being on her own, but it looked like she grabbed a partner to work with pretty quickly.  Ugh.

"Is now when I complain about how much it sucks to be a fire guy with someone who uses water as a master?  I'm gonna get soaked."  It was a valid complaint, but it probably wouldn't do him any good as Seriri and Aqua began their assault.

Aqua was coming in hot - so to speak, given that she was the ice user of the bunch - and so Axel flipped his own Keyblade out in front of him in some attempt to defend himself.  Really, he'd prefer to use his chakrams, but... well, Keyblade user's gotta do what a Keyblade user has to do.

...For all of the good that it did him, as Aqua's quick strikes would find their way through his guard and strike true, earning a grunt of pain and a growl of frustration from the man.  Of course, even then, Aqua's assault wasn't quite done with.  Now she was raining down more water upon him - remember that thing about getting wet?  Yeah.  No way was he dealing with that, throwing up a shield to protect himself.

Anyways, with Aqua seeming to sit back and take a defensive stance, he supposed it was his turn-

Well, that was a headache if he'd ever gotten one.  Seriously, what?  He shoots a stare Seriri's way, not even angry anymore, but just completely bewildered by what had just assaulted his ears.  Ow.  Just ow.

Of course, with there finally being a lull in the incoming attacks, Axel took that as his time to shine.  He Aqua a grin, and then, before you know it:

"BURN, BABY!"

The entire arena would promptly erupt into flames around the combatants, with the floor practically turning into charcoal.  That was pretty hot, to be sure - might wanna watch your feet.  On the other hand, though, Axel seemed to be thriving with the sudden influx of heat, even through the little headache that Seriri's antics had given him.

And now, time for a counterattack.  His Keyblade would promptly switch into his Chakrams - would proceed to coat themselves in flames before he'd throw them at his opponents.  By taking off to the side, he'd attempt to line up a shot and arc the chakrams through the air to cut both Aqua and Seriri.  Hopefully Aera and Dinah would get the cue and keep out of range.

As Seriri came into the arena they would definitely have a bit more of a fair fight now since it was now the 2 v 2 they would seek to have happen. "Well this ought to be fun right Dinah?" Aera would ask her partner before Dinah shook her head. "Not right now Aera, I think we should focus." Dinah said with a scowl.

Looks like Dinah was not really in the mood for a chat but then she was correct as it seemed the two water girls were starting their attack chain onto them.

First came a large bubble blaster from Aqua. Aera and Dinah moved to block the incoming attack.

Next came Seriri's aqua magic that Aera needed to dodge.

One of the beams of water hit her for 8% damage but Aera was far from done now. Soon enough Seriri would sing a very ear pounding song that was going to do a lot, she could tell. Aera and Dinah both try to cover their ears to stop the sound from getting in.

Dinah was readying up a spell to help the team while Aera drew out her sword to go on the offensive.

~Aqua Enchant: Dinah appears above Aera as she grants the element of water to whatever weapon Aera has equipped at the time. This grants a +1d8 to damage dealt for 2 turns and is gifted to other allies as well. Attacks also have a 50% chance of inflicting Soaked status during this ability. Cooldown 2 turns.

Aera then rushes up to the problem that needed to be addressed first, Seriri and began her assault with a light combo attack followed up by a medium sword swing. 

STR rolls for Craft Knight's Promise: Does 8% per hit plus the Aqua Enchant ability effects. Meaning a 50% chance to get Soaked per attack and the Extra attack bonus per attack.

Besides, my specialty lies in a general practice of magic," Aqua replies before watching Axel set fire to the place... well this has gotten very hot very fast. Aqua dodged the first throw with a cartwheel past and immediately felt the heat on her palm and brought out a barrier to block the second.

She then surged forward with another swing for Axel, followed by a second swing down and a final swing up. "Chill out!" she declared as she began twirling, icy fragments forming with sparkles despite the heat. Speaking of, despite the place being on fire the air around Axel, Aera and Dinah would suddenly start decreasing in temperature rapidly as their bodies would cool down if they could not fight her spell.

With her pirouette down the ice would crack and break apart into diamond dust with a lingering cracker and a small glow left behind as she seemed to gain a lot of attention with that use of magic.

Seriri did not feel comfortable with how hot the arena was getting. The water was practically unbearable in this heat so she jumped ashore and floated with a pained wince. Of course they did not like that song so she'll just have to try harder-ah! Hey! Physical Criticism is not allowed!

Seriri raised a shield made out of water to guard her from the weapon tosses before dodging one of Dinah's swings. Unfortunately she was not able to keep up dodging and got whacked twice over.

Seriri would be sent flying by all the damage and throughly soaked before she could correct herself. She was feeling very tired very fast. Still she decided to sing another song, this one actually sounding really good. It's Magical Effect boosted hers and Aqua's Morale tremendously.

(Fever Concerto for 3 turns Aqua and Seriri get +3 to all damage, +10 to a stat of their choice but maxes at 20, +3 to all skill checks and Status chance of all moves are doubled. Seriri is utilizing Wisdom. Effect ends early if Seriri is inflicted with suffocated or gagged Aqua is using it to max out DEX)

She would not stop singing however as an entrancing song attempted to draw their hearts to her so to speak as she used her actual Siren's Song, the song that sunk many sailors with it's beautiful voice.

"Yeah, yeah..." I mean, surely he could afford to complain a little bit.  A teensy, tiny amount about it.  It's just inconvenient, especially when he seems to be... The only one not using water, here.  Seriously?  He picked the wrong day to step into the arena.  Oh, and Aqua's attacking him again, so he probably should do something about that.

Although, this time, he'd have much greater success with parrying the Keyblade Master's strikes, adapting somewhat to fighting a Keyblade user that wasn't Kairi, with his own Keyblade meeting her own.  Not that Aqua'd give him much time to really appreciate that small victory, because of course not.  Making good on her comments about being a general mage, she throws some ice magic and then thunder magic at him.

And he dodges backwards from the burst of lightning.  For what it's worth, he's feeling pretty light on his feet all of a sudden.  Apparently, all it takes is getting smacked around a few times.

...And then, Axel realized with his heart jumping to his throat, that dear god, the other one was trying to sing again.  It sounded a little bit better this time around, though, didn't it?

In Axel's opinion, not really, as he resists the pull of the song.  Can't be a Keyblade wielder without a strong enough heart to resist that kind of stuff, right?  Instead, he focuses his efforts on Aqua.  That Keyblade of her's is a bit of problem, and unlike the other one, who seemed able to sing whenever she wanted to attack from anywhere, it'd disable at least one of Aqua's options.  So, his chakrams catch fire and he tosses them at Aqua - but at the last moment, they completely divert, attempting to circle around Aqua.  From where the Chakrams made contact with the ground, a ring of fire would try to ensnare Aqua!

There's a certain amount of finesse that goes into maintaining a grapple like this, but as long as she was stuck in place, it would be better than her being free.  And on that note, Axel ignites his Chakrams and tosses them through the air at his opponents once again.  A bit samey, but in a 2v2, it was the best way to make good on his abilities.

Aqua really was on the offensive it seemed but Aera would remain strong until the end. She was shivering a bit what with the newly formed glacier that was going to attack her and Dinah. She would do her best to endure it.

Suddenly Aera's entire body had an enormous amount of crimson red energy surrounding it. "Haaahhhhh!" she cried out as her body donned some strange armor and crimson red wings had attached to her as soon as the transformation ended. 



~Mono-Shift activated: Using the power locked deep within her, Aera transforms using a gem known as the daemon gem, which is a small gemstone with a crimson red color that unlocks the power of the Edge Fencer within herself. This transformation lasts for 3 turns and gives a +2 to all stats to Aera and a +5% damage boost as well. This ability has a 3 turn cooldown and inflicts 1 turn of Severe Exhaustion after the transformation runs out.

And there she stood with her Mono Shift activated, the true power of the Edge Fencer unleashed. "I'm not going to go down without a fight!" Aera said with courage.

"Dinah you should support Axel, he looks like he needs some healing." Aera said as she nodded toward Dinah. "Okay Aera I'm on it!" Dinah said as she began to cast her Aqua Healing on Axel.

My muse is shot for this PVP Thread and I realize I'm probably going to have to not try fighting 2v2 next time. Apologies but I am considering this fight a surrender or forfeit on my end.
