Aaah, the Life Sphere Mall. Despite the number of odd occurrences that were known to plague this strange location, it was still a popular place to go in the Rainbow Square. Maybe the incidents weren't publicized for some reason...? Well, that was a mystery for another day.

For now though, we once again move towards the mall for another uncanny adventure...or would perhaps things be actually normal for once?

...nah, probably not.

The setting this time around is a shop right by the mall's entrance, to be slightly more  a large light blue store named "Toadina's Spa Center" stood. It was pretty sleek in its outer design, and the walls and curtains painted with a lovely beach scenario. The name of the store was proudly displayed above its light gray double front doors, with a custom lamp that shined with a pleasant light green...light.

Amitie entered into the mall, carrying her friend Ally by her hand as she guided her to the big spa center in question, both of them stopping at the doors of the spa. "Aaaand here we are!" Amitie said, looking at the spa center before turning back to Allie. "Toadina's...Spa Center? What's a 'spa center', Amitie?" Allie asked curiously. "Huh, your world never had something like this?" Amitie questioned, to which Allie replied with a head shake. "Well...spa centers are places you can go to get a lot of things to help you calm down and relax! They have a sauna, they offer massages, facial stuff...well, there's a lot of things, actually, but the gist of it is that you go there to have a time to take care of yourself and have some down time~!" Amitie explained.

"Hmmm, a place to relax...and this is where we'll be hanging out?" Allie asked, sounding more curious than she did before, and she was plently curious before. "Yep~! To be honest, I haven't been in one either, so, this should be an interesting first visit to the three of us! Whaddya think, Rafisol?" Amitie asked. Allie's pendant glowed a bit. "...If Allie wants to, I'll join." the voice of Rafisol replied from it.

"Well, I am certainly excited to try it out! So let's go, the three of us!" Allie replied enthusiastically, holding Amitie's hand with both of hers in excitement. Amitie smiled brightly at that reply. "Yeah~! Let's do it!" she proclaimed, also very excited at the prospect.

[Charmy Draco, Dream Sage~!]

Down the halls came running... rather leisurely. Was more a hop and a skip than a run. Either way it was a a Draco in rather comfy looking attire, however in addition to the usual bits was a few hot towels wrapped around various spots like her arms and legs... including one along her back. Okay, you're not even in the spa yet Charmy, calm your dream horses.

The dragon girl made for the spa before pausing at the sight of the group in front of the store. Huh, neat. It was like a whole party! Spa day! "Heya~!" The dream sage called as she stepped up. "A group of girls having a spa day? Well you know what they say. The more the merrier~! We can like all go together and talk about our dreams and feelings!" she continued. Zelda just kind of stared in amazement at how forward this... horned girl is. "What do you say, mind two more~?" she continued... wait how did she know Zelda was not in the original-... She didn't stand out that much did she?!... well she was 5'10 so technically but still!

[Dawn "Platina" Berlitz]

Oh cool! Vacation time! Dawn shows up looking a bit cheerier than usual. As she arrives, she addresses Charmy first. “--Oh, is this that kind of spa?” Dawn asked in a knowing tone. The one where they just casually vented and if it went on for long enough, they walked out of it secret BFFs? “Count me in~” she eagerly chimed in, paying no mind to how short she was compared to the rest of the cast here.

[Doctor Ciel]

“ ...Oh, are you all going to the spa too? That's a weird coincidence. Um--... Would it be too forward to suggest we all go together as... aspiring friends? ”

Ciel approached the group, having overheard some of the talking. She does veeeery slightly blush as her gaze settled upon Amitie, the only one of the group she was intimately familiar with. Her words had a certain braveness and open-heartedness, but the meekness of her body language conveyed an inner shyness she was suppressing.

[Kairi, Princess of Heart]

Kairi wandered into the mall since she was free from school today and didn't really have any important work to do. She heard there was a Spa here and she had to admit she was interested in trying one and she needed some time to relax and think. She paused at the group of girls, notifying two mainly. Ciel and a Draco who helped her with something a while back. "Oh, Mom, you're here to see the Spa too?" Kairi asked as she looked to the others for a moment, not recogonizing a few people in the group. "Hi~! I'm Kairi," She greeted with a wave to the others and a nod to the Draco.

"Hey, Ciel~!" Amitie calls and waves at the doctor specifically, recognizing her over the waves of the faces that overheard their conversation. "Hey, everyone! Hehe, that's a coincidence, everybody going to the spa at the same time~" she commented. "I sure don't mind any more company! But first! Introductions! Hiya, I'm Amitie~! My dream is to become a wonderful sorceress!" Amitie continued, introducing herself with a cute pose. "Aaaaaand--!"

"And my name is Allie! Let's fall in love, everyone~!" Allie said, introducing herself as well with her usual catchphrase. A couple of moments later, the orange-haired maiden picked up her pendant, the accessory beginning to glow as...someone came out of it?? An Allie lookalike emerged next to her, sporting a...neutral face. "...Rafisol. Nice to...meet you." she introduces herself in an awkward fashion.

The now trio of girls waited for everyone present to go through their introductions. "Alrighty~! Now let's! Go to the spa!" Amitie announced energetically, pointing towards the store they were going. "Yes! Onwards!" Allie cheered alongside her. The Puyo-capped girl then moved towards the shop, Allie and Rafisol following closely behind her, the blonde reaching for the doors and opening one of them for everyone to come in.

Once everyone was inside the shop and, they would be met with a quaint reception hall decked in light brown wood, and with some potted plants as decor spread around the place, the faint smell of a lavender incense around the room. To their front was the receptionist's table, with a Toadette checking the new arrivals. To their right was a sofa that was empty.

"Good afternoon!" The Toadette receptionist waved at the girls. "Welcome to Toadina's Spa Center! Is this your first time here?" She'd ask, though it sounded like she was pretty sure they were new to the place already and asking mostly for the sake of formalities. After everyone more-or-less confirmed her throughts, the Toadette's smile broadened. "Lucky you! First-time customers get a demonstration of our services with our New Beginnings package, free of charge!" the Toadette continued. "You will be able to enjoy three of our services at your order of choosing! Feel free to take a look!"

Each of the girls would receive a small form that asked for their name, a signature, and three activities labeled afterwards:

-Steam bath

-Hot stone massage

-Hair treatment/Haircut

...Huh, they offered haircuts too? How curious. Next to the names of the services, there were empty boxes where it looked like they needed to place the numbers in order to determine in which order they'd want to do the services.

(Okay, everybody! Here's the deal. You all have three 'sections' of the spa center to go through. You can freely choose what you wish to do first, second or last.  ...or alternatively, everyone can just go through the same places together. Might get a bit crammed, but hey, strength in numbers, right?)

"Hmmm...wonder what should I go do first..." Amitie mumbled in thought, as Allie hummed quietly, Rafisol silently looking at the paper by her side.

"No no no no no!" A small voice would echo..pretty much out of nowhere as the group entered the spa. As the door closed behind them, a strange book would just....pop into existence on the sidewalk, before fluttering open as if in a high wind. The pages would only just barely settle down before a purple-furred cat leapt from its pages, hitting the ground running and dashing toward the front door of the spa. Behind her, the book closed, rose off the pavement, and floated along behind her, fluttering its pages in irritation.

"...Yeah, yeah, I know, I shouldn't have taken that extra long cat nap, but I couldn't help it! The spot I decided to nap in was super comfy!" The cat said breathlessly, as if responding to the book's irritation. Fortunately for Yuumi, though, it appeared that she was only a couple minutes late. The group she was supposed to meet with had only just gone inside.

Soon enough, Yuumi had caught up with the other girls, just as they were getting to introducing themselves. They weren't anyone she recognized, but perhaps that could change over the course of today! "H-hey! Wait for me!" she called, skidding to a stop in front of the group, Book very nearly floating into her. Pausing for a second to catch her breath, Yuumi looked up at all her potential new friends. "I'm Yuumi! And I'm gonna be joining you on your spa day too!"

With introductions out of the way, Yuumi listened to what the Toadette said to them, looking around at the options that were presented to them. "Hmm....they all sound really good! But I wanna get my fur done! Else it's gonna get tangled with everything else!"

Kairi couldn't help but smile a bit at Allie's introduction. Amitie seemed to be familiar with her mom as well.  It was admirable wearing your heart on your sleeve like that... Which Rafisol clearly didn't but that was fine. "Nice to meet you and sure, the more the merrier~!" She replied before following along into the spa.

Kairi gave a nod to the Toadette's inquiry about first times. "Free of charge? Wow, that's pretty generous..." First-timers getting free was a... questionable business practice for this kind of place but hey, a trial run sounded fine to her... Wait, hair treatment was an option? Do these places usually offer that?

"... Oh hi!" Kairi was taken aback by the arrival of a... cat and a book at a spa. All kinds of customers on this planet she guesses. Might of been weird if it was all humans. "Well, okay, I'm Kairi," she greeted before looking back down. "... It is about time I've gotten my hair done again, I think I'll try that first myself," she decided to go along with Yumi's descision.

"Oh, hello there! Aren't you a cutie~" The receptionist Toadette said as Yuumi arrived on the scene. "Well, lucky you, this treatment is for everyone! No one'll be left behind at Toadina's Spa Center." she proudly stated.

"Heya, Yuumi~! I'm Amitie!" Amitie introduced herself to the newcomer. "I'm Allie! And this is Rafisol!" Allie followed soon after, with the cyan-haired twin waving at Yuumi quietly. "Let's fall in love~!" Allie added her catchphrase soon after.

Soon after, Amitie turned her paper to the secretary. "I'm heading to the hot stone massage first! Sounds kinda funny, but I'm pretty curious about that~!" she said, trying to give the paper to her, but the secretary pushed the paper back. "Keep it! I'll just take it once everyone's finished." she replied simply with a smile.

"I will join Amitie in the hot stone massage!" Allie exclaimed in an enthusiastic fashion. "I'll follow Allie." Rafisol quickly raised her hand soon after. Well, someone's attached.

"Got it! Excuse me, girls!" The secretary said, clapping her hands. Quite suddenly, a Toadette and a Pianta showed up, waving at the girls. "Mina, could you guide these three young ladies to the massage room? Jade, you guide these two lovely ones to the hairdresser room!" she said, pointing at the groups in specific, with both Toadettes nodding and beckoning for them to follow.

"Catch you girls later~!" Amitie said, moving to follow the guiding Toadette towards the room in question, with Allie and Rafisol following her.

As the girls went to their chosen activities, the secretary turned towards the others who were still stumped. "Are you having trouble deciding where to go first? How about you take a nice, relaxing bath first?" she'd gently suggest to them.

Hairdresser Room

Kairi and Yuumi are taken to a room to the west of the reception area, filled with white tiles from floor to ceiling. Despite the amount of hair they probably had to cut on a daily basis, the floor was practically spotless. Someone was really hard at work to make the place look neat and tidy.

Right in front of them, there are a row of seats facing a large, horizontal mirror with lights on top of it. Jade, their guiding Pianta, moves over to one of the chairs, and sets it up in a different way, parts of it seemingly folding to resemble a pillow, likely to help with Yuumi.

"Please, have a seat. What are you looking to do today?" The Pianta would ask, giving the two space to simmer down on the seats.

Massage Room

Meanwhile, the Ami-Ally-Rafi trio head to the reception area's back, where a big room covered in sturdy wooden planks, and dim, orange lights resided. To the front of them, there's a line of beds spread a bit from each other, each of them coming with a pillow and accompanied by tables on their front. "Now, lay down on your bellies and remove your dress or shirt and shoes, if you please. You can leave the shoes nest to the bed, and you can place the dress on the table next to you." she instructed gently, to which the three complied with varying amounts of reluctance. Now with just their modest undergarment, Ally was the first to rest on the bed, Amitie flopping on it soon after, and Rafisol being last.

With the three now resting on the bed, a couple of Lumas appeared, bringing the Toadette a table with several stones, resting on hot water. "We'll have to wait a bit until the stones are at the right temperature. This might cause some initial whiplash, but believe me when I say this, it will be worth it." she reassured.

Taking a second to catch her breath, Yuumi followed Kairi into the hairdressing area, both impressed and a bit disappointed with how clean they kept it. She didn't quite know why, but hair clippings sounded pretty soft! Probably. Book, however, floated after the two girls, fluttering its pages in disapproval at Yuumi's disappointment. Yuumi didn't bother to answer it.

When they got to the two chairs that had been saved for them, Yuumi hopped up on the folded up chair that had been set aside for her, and looked in the mirror, with Book floating beside her as always. "Hmmm..." she hummed, putting a paw to her chin. How exactly did she want her fur done? Maybe she could got for a bit of a curlier, fluffier look? That could be kinda cute!

"I think I wanna go with a bit more volume. Try to play up the "fluffy" look that I kinda got going on, y'know?" she answers the Pinata , trying to keep still so the hairdresser could get to work. Beside her, Book fluttered its pages a little as it floated around her, looking her over. As if decoding what the tome was telling her, Yuumi suddenly looked slightly miffed. "...no one asked for your opinion, Book. I'll style my fur the way I like!"

Kairi nodded to the others and gave a wave as she made her way with the cat to the hairdresser... There was something funny about going to a stylist with a cat of all things. Still, she was not going to judge who she spent the company with. Sora's hung out with a talking dog and duck, Riku hung out with a mouse, she can take the cat.

"Hm..." Kairi considered it for a moment... she liked her hair how it was now. Still, she wondered how much this world offered for new circumstances. Magic and science beyond her world was here so surely she could take this opportunity to see how much that was the case. "... I was thinking about mixing in a hairstyle I had nearly a year ago with my current one. I had longer hair back then though..." She cut it went she went training and adjusted it's style a bit and she hasn't really let it grow back yet. "Do you think there's a way to fix that? If not I think just a bit of care is fine," she requested before offering just a touchup if the task was impossible.

After asking she would look to Yuumi and her strange book. "...Your partner there has a mind of his own, doesn't he?" Kairi asked. She could not understand the book but Yuumi seemed to clearly. Wasn't that strange, she knew only a few people could hear Model M and Model A. Guess you need to have known the book a long time to know what "Flip to page 39" meant.

[Doctor Ciel]

Ciel was given pause by Allie's greeting, or rather the catchphrase that followed it. Was that a joke? Haha, let's get wild and gay because we're so crazy? She was taken entirely off-guard by it, but decided to go  with the waves, so to speak. A small chuckle escaped her.

“ Already on it~! My name is ...Ciel. I run the public library and work on the starvia cure, among other things. And this is my daughter, Kairi. ”

...Are you sure you weren't coerced to come here, Ciel? She had decided not to introduce herself as a doctor, since this was such an excessively informal setting.

“ ...I think I'll take that bath. Thank you. ”

Ciel was ready to head to the baths. She wasn't certain if Kairi would appreciate sharing a room with her. And she preferred not to let strangers handle something as precious as her hair for fear of the long-lasting consequences of losing it to some malicious jerk.

“Hhhhwh-whuuh??”

Dawn on the other hand had a much more pronounced reaction to Ally's catchphrase. You could just see it clock her over the head like a tin bat, heavily disorientating her and flustering her so badly her only response were soft, incoherently meek noises of confusion. She was suddenly very 'aware' of the beating of her heart in her chest like a rabbit kicking at the walls of its cage. She hadn't been expecting to be hit on, especially by another girl, so she was just kind of silently freaking out on the inside as as she argued with herself while the voice in her head laughed at her weakness.

Dawn just kinda shut down for a bit until the girls wandered off, using the time to fight her panic and put her head back on her shoulders. “...I'd like to my hair and nails done, if that's okay.” Dawn lamely requested. Without her mother around, and being poor, she couldn't really afford to pamper herself the way she'd prefer to. So this sounded like an excellent way to spruce herself up? Plus, she was no longer sure what kind of spa and group baths and massages felt like they'd be a little less relaxing with these lingering feelings messing with her head.

And so she headed down to join Kairi and Yumii! She arrived looking a little nervous. But she put on her best smile for the others. “...Just the split ends, please. And do you do nails too? I've been thinking about some cute pink Spinela themed nails for a while now... Oh--And do you have any of those nice shampoos that can make your hair extra silky to the touch~?” Dawn asked as she wandered in, quickly returning to her more excitable self as she fantasized about cutely painted nails themed after one of her favorite pokemon.

"Understood! Let me guide you to the bath, miss!" the secretary Toadette stated, leaving her post to guide Ciel along the bath room.

Steam Bath Room

First thing that Ciel would see upon entering the premises is...a lot of steam. Wow, the name 'steam bath' was certainly no exaggeration. "Feel free to use the room to your right to place your clothes in! We have rental towels and swimwear in there too!" The secretary began. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call the staff for help, okay?" she said, before leaving through the door they came through.

Once Ciel was done preparing herself, the bath awaited her just a couple of steps forward. The tub was very big, able to easily house 8 people or perhaps more in the same space. It also had a space for people to sit on, just in case they were of the...smaller stature type.

At first, contact with the hot water might cause a brief, extreme reaction due to clashing temperatures, but it doesn't take long before the warmth becomes welcoming and relaxing.

Hairdresser Room

As Dawn makes her way inside the room, the Pianta quickly prepares a seat for the incoming Trainer, beckoning her to sit down as she everyone made their requests. "Right, right! Understood! Now that the requests are in, let's get started right about...now!" the Pianta said, snapping her fingers.

At her signal, a group of Lumas came to the trio, each of them with a kit of various tools you'd find in a hairdresser, alongside some assortment of shampoos and hair conditioners. As the tools were settled, the staff got to work, taking a moment to gently remove any accessories before they began working on the requests.

This felt...actually very calming! Maybe it was the gentle, deliberate calm pace the staff of Lumas were taking to get it done? Or maybe it was the soothing music playing in the background, accompanied by a sweet scent in the air?

Massage Room

"There. Now, are we ready?" The Toadette questioned, she and the Lumas getting ready to pick up the stones. "As ready as I'll ever be!" Amitie replied, prompting a giggle from the staff member. "In that case...let us begin." the Toadette said, grabbing one of the stones and placing it on Amitie's back, the Lumas doing the same for Ally and Rafisol.

"Oh!!" Amitie almost yells, just now remembering the 'whiplash' bit about the warm temperature bit. It doesn't last, though. "Oh...oh wow! This...this feels really nice." Amitie said, letting herself relax as more hot stones were placed on her back.

"You're right. This feels so refreshing." Ally said as she took in the feeling. She was having an amazing first impression. "Are these perhaps charged with some sort of magic? I feel pretty relaxed already!"

"Ah..." Rafisol, unlike Amitie, had a very subdued reaction at first (emoting wasn't her forte to being with) but her body language quickly relaxed as the treatment continued. "This feels...nice." she said, poking her head from the pillow.

"I know, right? This is so good, I almost wanna doze off." Amitie admitted, prompting the Toadette to chime in. "You can do that, if you'd like." she encouraged. "Aw, thanks, but...I wanna catch up with my friends here first." Amitie replied, looking at both Ally and Rafisol. The love maiden and her pocket twin look at the wonderful mage, Ally with a smile, and Rafisol with a curious, seemingly surprised expression.

As the hairdressing session began, Yuumi began to relax in her chair, the sounds of the hair salon, and the Lumas rushing about, soothing her into as state of relaxation. This was actually pretty calming! "Mmmm...Y'know, I haven't had something like this done since Master did it last. That was, ah...a long time ago." she commented. Just trying to make conversation, at this point, although as the Lumas started massaging shampoo into her fur, she couldn't help purring just a little. She had always liked it when Master petted her, and this was like...a super pet! Meanwhile, Book, now just going along with everything because it was obvious that Yuumi wasn't going to listen to a word it said, simply closed itself onto the counter in front of Yuumi, the blue jewel embedded in its cover shining a little under the lights. If Yuumi was gonna go through with this, then Book wasn't gonna go anywhere. Not that it could go too far from Yuumi in the first place....
