As the snow fell lightly upon the white hills of the hard metal of the frozen wasteland that was much like that of a graveyard for many reploids all of which were beyond repair. Parts of vehicles, mechaniloids and other machinery were scattered amongst the rubble of what seemed to be a city that could have very well been where these reploids once lived. Thing was however that upon arrival for our heroes these mechanical corpses had an eerie feel about them, almost as if they were watching them. 

MISSION START!

Joe had already arrived via his Six Machine and noticed the carnage before him. He remembered back to the good ole days where he was tearing up the forces of evil, most of them being robots, but these were innocents most likely. The eerie feel that these things could still be alive was not lost on Joe and it made him feel worried, something of which was not something he often felt since he was barely scared of anything. 

Looking around for his teammates he would make sure that they would find the source of this jamming and put a stop to it, but a feeling a familiarity came over him as he heard a quiet yet very noticeable sound coming from far away, whatever this sound was it could be part of what was causing this jamming, at least that's what he thought initially.

Big didn't know very much about technology these days, or at all. In fact, he didn't know very much about even basic mechanical things. He was lucky he even figured out how to use a fishing rod. But what he did know is, whatever was needing to be stopped in this strange area, was going to help the Life Sphere in some capacity. So he had to volunteer. For the better of everyone.

"How to find and stop something I am super duper unfamiliar with. That is the question isn't it old buddy? Maybe whomever made this mission a thing is around here and can explain to me better on what exactly we are trying to look for." Froggy nods and does a little flip. He was just as clueless as big if not moreso. But he was also just glad to be with his pal and make sure his large furry friend stays safe any way he could.

Big looks around for any other teammates to shed light on what kind of mechanical thingy he needed to find as he traverses the terrain, and notices a shorter but dapper looking fellow with a neat-o carrito in the distance. He slowly makes his way over and waves hello. "Hi little fella!" He ensures to have a smile on his face as he greets the dwarf like figure to promote an approachable demeanor. Now is calling a stranger a little fellow a bad move? Maybe. He is a creature however that lacks alot of intelligence and common sense.

Axl arrived not too long after, he had teleported from the Life Sphere thanks to the transporter system at his place being a wireless version.

As he stepped forward to the cold chill of the winter(it never bothered him much anyway), He would take notice of Viewtiful Joe and give him a Thumbs up to denote that he was here before drawing out two Laser Pistols that were specifically tailor made for him to hunt down and kill Mavericks with.

"Let's hope that the last one turns up so the fun of Maverick Hunting can begin in earnest." Axl said, his hopes that a big cat and a dragon knight would help out were naturally confusing to him, but for the time being, he'd have to make due since X and Zero were not present(They were still in the Life Sphere).

[Dragon Knight Volga]

Volga was not someone who was tech-savvy. However, he did enjoy fighting, especially if the opponent was worthy. As a result, the Dragon Knight flew over the snowy scrapyard until he spotted two people and a large cat below. Volga landed nearby, scattering embers everywhere as he did so. He then turned his attention to the man in red.

As everyone seemed to arrive the first to come was Big the Cat who called Joe a little fella. Not like it mattered really since Joe knew he was short compared to everyone else in Li. Thing was he was normal height technically because in his world everyone was pretty short. "Yo there! Hope you're ready to kick some butt and stop whatever is causing this interference Big guy." Joe said with a smirk before taking notice of Axl and then Volga. Axl teleported in and Volga flew toward the area. "That's everyone? Good then. Let's rock!" Joe would lead the team toward the sound that he had heard upon coming to this area. "Hear that guys? This sound must be the jamming signal, it will lead us right to the source!" 

As Joe led the team farther to the sound as he followed with his ears he would not notice that there was a pair of singular yellow glowing eyes watching him and the party. Suddenly as they got closer to the source of the sound waves from out of the snow came two scrap bots. Both with a singular yellow eye that looked right at them.

Prepare to Fight!

(Big and Volga watch out! Both of them are going for an eye beam toward you! DC to dodge the attack is 12 or take 10% damage!) 

Joe on the other hand takes notice of these bots and immediately begins the smackdown on them. 

"What the? Aren't the bots in this scrapyard supposed to be long gone? No matter, let's do this!" Joe said confidently.

Joe attacks with Mach Speed toward the bot attacking Big.

Joe had already finished what he could do this round and looked back to see the bots setting their sights on Axl. Whatever this sound was it might have something to do with the bots coming to life right?

Big was glad he found his colleague for this mission in no time at all to make the journey a bit easier as to not travel alone trying to find the source of the problem. Big was even more happy to see that the colleague he waved to was also very friendly. Not only friendly, but also eager to succeed in this mission just as Big and Froggy were. The purple cat grinned gleefully and gave a thumbs up to the little red guy. "We shall kick all the butts together friend!" Additionally another colleague appeared right after this introduction, but before the conversation could go on any longer, the sound of beeping and grinding gears or wheels could be heard not far from them.

The colleague in red was the first to notice the sound and turned to the source of it. Big and Froggy twisted their bodies over to the noise and shuddered at two scary looking cyber beings piercing their retinas right at the group. The beings attacked almost instantly. Big grabbed Froggy and attempted to roll out of the way.

Big was able to grab Froggy and roll for safety so quickly and so gracefully you could almost swear it was a furry cat with great instincts that was able to narrowly escape danger. Oh wait. Big landed in a comfortable thump after a few rolling motions to the ground dodging the attack of the enemies until a pile of scrap metal stopped them from rolling too far. Luckily the sudden maneuver didn't hurt any of them.

Big then stood up tossing Froggy on his shoulder and pounding his fists together. "Well that was not nice! I think you tin cans are a little salty. How about recycling that bad attitude!" Big lifted Froggy by its tail and placed it in his hands. The frog's eyes winced in a battle ready rage looking at the robotic meanie heads. Big then starts cranking Froggy's tail in a fast and aggressive motion causing the amphibian to open its mouth and spray acidic liquid at the robots in a machine gun like spurt.

The attack doesn't cover the distance needed to damage the enemies and comes up short. Big looks at Froggy worried. Froggy ribbits as if apologizing. "Hey now, it's ok buddy, we can try something else! You just need to warm yourself up a little. Leave it to me ok? HERE WE GO!" Big sets Froggy down on the ground and takes his Fishing Rod from his back. He plants it into the ground firmly and attaches the fishing line quickly to his belt.

He then grasps one of his mitts on the line and starts running around it in circles. He gets faster and faster until he picks up enough speed and turns himself into a curled ball and keeps rolling even faster. His body is now on fire and he releases from the fishing line and launches himself in a burning ball at both enemies trying to slam through them like bowling pins.

Neither bot is burned but they do take the damage! After the attack Big's body cools off and the flames die down, he then slams one of his paws into the ground gripping it to stop his rolling around from the prior attack. He rushes back to Froggy and slings his partner over his shoulder again. 

At this point Big believes his recent attack destroys the both of them, but he takes Froggy into his hands again and preps for another attack just in case. The large feline and his buddy await the smoke to clear from his prior maneuver and they remain at the ready for any other surprise robot assaults.

No sooner had the group started their mission, than a pair of robots arrived. One of them fired their eye beam straight at Volga.

Unfortunately, the attack caught him by surprise and he was hit by the beam. It didn't do much, but the Dragon Knight was annoyed. He would have fought back as well, but the feline seemed to have it covered.

"Mavericks...  If there's one or two, there's bound to be more."  Axl would say, letting Joe and Big handle this, though he kept his eyes peeled for any more that might turn up. Even as he was targeted, he elected to just do something that the others never thought of doing: Use his Bubble Shield to nullify the hits.

At least for the time being he would fire off a shot that could easily cripple if not outright kill one of the Scrap Bots just in case.

Noticing how Big took out the robots with ease Joe would also look to see that the robots did not put up much of a fight but they seemed to be just bots that were scrapped because of the lack of work on them. Most likely robots from this very scrapyard that came to life somehow.

Volga managed to dodge the laser coming his way and Axl just used his shield to keep the lasers from hitting him which was pretty smart. Joe pressed on and followed the sound onward to something he did not expect. There right in front of him was what looked to be an abandoned warehouse or some sort of factory.




"What is this? A warehouse of some kind? Yo guys I hear the sound coming from over here. Let's check it out!" Joe said as he got ever closer to the area. Moving towards the entrance Joe would attempt to open the door only to find it's locked!

"Hey guys I could use a little help opening this." Joe said as he tugged on the door handle.

(Everyone the door to the abandoned factory is locked and you are sure that jamming sound is coming from inside. You all have two choices right now. You can bust down the door with a STR check of 15 or higher or use an INT check of 13 or higher to try to pick the lock. You can use only 1 action to attempt either choice, you cannot do both. What do you do?)

After a few minutes of a brawl, the team was able to successfully destroy the mechanical nuisances which Big was sure appeared to be just the tip of the iceberg to what may still be to come. Froggy clutched Big's tuft of fur tightly as the red munchkin man lead the team to a large factory of sorts and they found themselves come up to a locked door. Was there anything ever more appealing than a locked door to what looked like an abandoned or run down factory? Surely there can't be danger afoot inside could there?

Big's little red buddy went first trying to open the door but had no luck and asked for assistance. Looking at the team and their sizes clearly Big was the thickest chonkiest boi of them all so it made sense to try and pry the door open, especially since he has a lot of experience being the muscle behind any team after his time with Amy and Cream during their adventures on Mobius together. "Looks like I'll try and give it a go first!" Big warms up both his arms by reeling them back and forth in a circular motion then clasps them together bringing both arms up and behind his head, then thrusting them forward to ram the door down.

Success! The giant cat's massive arms swing down from over his head and bash the door clear off its hinges sending it flying into the factory. Big was nowhere near graceful and the impact was so loud and booming that Froggy had to cover its tiny little slimy ear holes with its feet as it hid behind Big's wide frame from the boisterous noise. Not only that, the noise and sudden forced entry into the building may have woke or alerted whatever may be inside. Big blushed at his own strength and commented. "Oops, guess I could have done that more quietly huh?" He hoped the team wouldn't be upset with his clumsy ways.

"Don't worry too much about it, Big. Besides, we're still going to have to deal with the source of the jamming, but thanks for breaking down the door anyway." Axl said as he stood back and watched, he didn't want to deal with something that could potentially take hours unless he had the raw strength to pull off the feat himself.

"Best to have a look around inside if at all possible, that way we can find who is jamming the Life Sphere tech. What say you, Joe." Axl asked Joe on the matter, since Big broke the door down.

[Dragon Knight Volga]

Volga silently followed the others to the abandoned warehouse and was about to charge at the door, but the big feline took care of that too. "I doubt it, given that everything is made of metal, even a quieter method would have resulted in a good deal of noise." As far as he was concerned, what's done is done. However, the Dragon Knight suspected more enemies would have been alerted to their presence and held his Dragon Spear at the ready.

The warehouse for what it's worth looked abandoned on the outside but is a completely working factory of sorts that has intricate security systems in place for getting to the next area. Scrapped robots from the Frozen Scrapyard are being processed through the factory as their parts are being removed and put into a furnace to melt down the metal and then eventually poured into moldings for different types of weaponry.

The party would likely be able to deduce that something is up and that the Frozen Scrapyard would not have a working factory out here in the middle of nowhere. That meant that someone or something had made these changes recently and was likely behind the Life Sphere's jammed systems.

As they set foot inside however an alarm started to sound. "Intruder Alert, Intruder Alert!" A mechanical voice would cry out as more scrapbots rose out of the snow behind them and something else came toward them from inside the factory. 

Prepare to Fight!

Out from the woodwork of the clearly working factory came a familiar sight to only one of the party members, Axl. Axl would know what this thing is and it's a Ride Armor Guard.

(Watch out Big! The Ride Armor Guard is going after you first! It is going for a punch attack that deals 20% damage upon hit! DC is 12 to dodge it.)

(As for Joe, Axl and Volga the Scrapbots are attacking you with Eye Beams. Each of you roll a DC of 12 to dodge them or take 10% damage!)

Joe had to take the upper hand now as they were surrounded from the front and back by these robots. Something was up alright and this place should be long dead. "Alright time to kick butt!" Joe said before noticing the eye beam going for him. He would attempt to dodge.

Joe just barely got scraped by the Eye Beam when he thought he got out of the way of it. 
"Ow! Okay you asked for it." Joe then moved to attack the scrapbot 1 that had attacked him with the Eye Beam. 

"Red Hot Kick!" he yelled out as he unleashed a flaming kick to Scrapbot 1.

The attack lands on the Scrapbot 1 which gave it 15% damage to it, cutting the Scrapbot 1's health in half! This attack has a 30% chance to Burn as well.

Joe went to finish the job as he went for another Red Hot Kick against the Scrapbot 1.

Joe just finished off Scrapbot 1! the 15% damage makes the scrapbot crumble into pieces. No need for a status roll either!

Joe would finish his turn off by aiming his Six Cannon at the Ride Armor Guard!

"Let's go! Go Six Cannon!" Suddenly summoning the Six Machine to him in the form of a large laser cannon as it would fire right at the Ride Armor Guard! 

DEX Roll for Six Cannon: Does 25% damage AOE and does 6% damage to him as recoil. There are no Scrapbots near the Ride Armor Guard so it only hits it if this attack lands.

This doesn't look like the end however as things were just getting started this time.

Despite Big being able to get the door open in a well...loud way, and the team calming him down after being disappointed with his clumsy methods, it still seemed as though busting through the entrance was not the best idea. Alarms began to sound in a piercing tone and Big shook in surprise clutching Froggy close against his chest.  "Awww Maaaan! I knew I musta woke something up! And here I was thinkin this place would be dead and empty. Sorry guys!" Just after the alarms went off more robots appeared upon the blaring sirens going crazy in the facility and went straight for Big and the team.

There were a bunch of smaller robots like before, but also this time a much larger one that was not like the others. A munchkin bot controlling a gigantic machine. And it was heading right for Big and Froggy! "I swear this must be karma for all those tuna cans I've opened!" Big sees the large robot's fist going right for him while the rest of the team was being attacked by the smaller enemies. He tries to duck in an awkward and uncomfortable squatting motion to avoid the punch. Froggy ducks with Big holding tightly to his friend's mane.

Success! Big was able to avoid the large fist pounding into his face by a hair. He ducks just in time with the robo hand hitting just above the feline's head between his ears. Big stares upward worried but also relieved at the same time. That certainly wouldn't feel good! But this motion and current positioning gave Big's brain an idea! He was now at close range to get a good attack in from underneath the enemy, and he was gonna go for an uppercut right to the robot's chin strap! Just as he was about to strike his red buddy got a few shots in at the enemy successfully giving Big even more of an opening to hit the robot while it was being struck by Joe. Right after Joe got his hits off, Big went for a Battering Ram from underneath the enemy aiming to knock its head right off its hinges! "Batter Up!"

Critical success! Big still had plenty of strength and power in his arms after ramming that door down and managed to clock the robot's head so perfectly he would be surprised if it didn't fly off its body with all its bolts to boot! He deals 23% Damage to the enemy! "I think we still need a catch of the day don't you Mr. Robot?!" Once the enemy staggers backwards from the move creating distance between them, Big pulls out his fishing rod and whips the enemy with the line in a quick snapping motion for an additional Big Fishing attack!

Another critical success! Big's fishing line whips the bot hard chipping away at its outer shell and wiring causing it to stagger even more. This does 18% damage! "Man! I wish Amy was here to see how well we are doin Froggy old buddy. Maybe she would let us go out on more high octane adventures with her! Well, there is the fact that I can still hardly keep up with her when it comes to speed, but STILL! LOOK AT US GO!" Froggy does a few hops cheering Big on and showing praise to his long time partner and friend. "What's that pal? Want a shot at the baddie? You got it!" Froggy shakes its head no showing a form of miscommunication between the two and sweat trickles down its skin while Big lifts up Froggy and chucks the poor thing at the enemy with as much might as he could for a Froggy Poison attack.

Froggy goes flying into the enemy's face where Big had bashed its chin in before doing just enough of an impact to damage the robot additionally for 15% damage. Its poisonous lips attach to the enemy's hard external frame attempting to add a layer of poison to the move. Froggy rolls back to the ground after the maneuver and hops back to Big. The large feline then slings Froggy back on his shoulder and puts his mitts up on the defense darting his eyes at the enemy to see if the poison takes any effect. 

Big pats Froggy on the head proud of its efforts. "Nice work little bud! Let's see if it wants another round at us!" Big waits for the enemy's next move while the rest of the team continues being occupied with the smaller enemies.

Axl entered the factory with the other three,but upon doing so, was assaulted by a Scrap Bot trying to fire it's ocular laser at him when the time for battle came upon them!

"Nice one, But now it's my turn!" Axl would say with a cocky smile on his face, which clearly shows his tendency for a good fight!

He would start it off with firing off an Elemental Bullet combo to try and soften up the Scrap Bot...  And all three would be a painful 'burning' reminder for the poor bot!
