Life at the Life Sphere wasn't an easy adjustment to make for Omega.  Certainly not when you're a bloodthirsty, alleged 'God of Destruction' meant to usher in a new age by stabbing every Reploid not under your direct control.  His blood boiled, urging him to seek out combat - or was that his programming mothering about that fake Reploid being within a mile?  It was hard to tell at times - but he couldn't exactly repeat his Elf Wars massacre without the Dark Elf, especially with all of these damn heroes running around.

In the absence of the reliable stab-ability of the citizens of this town, Omega was left adrift, only eventually settling on the Stadium when it became apparent that Omega didn't really have a choice in the matter.  Not without running outside and risking Starvia infection, anyways - the current state of affairs was difficult for good guys and the local psycho alike.

So, there was Omega, storming his way out onto the arena, brandishing his saber on high.  He was going to come out here to attack people and have fun doing it, damn it!  His mouth contorted into a twisted smile, as he addressed the audience and any possible combatants.

"Now, who wants to fight the real Zero?!"

Omega had inflicted countless casualties on humans and Reploids alike - what was one more helpless sap who didn't know what they were getting into?

Grey had never liked the arena. It just wasn't his thing, to go out actively looking for a fight. Sure, he understood why it was there, and the purpose it served, but actively going out to do something like this just wasn't his thing. Which raised the question of why he was even here

Initially, he had just been here with Model A to watch. Morbid curiosity had gotten the better of him, what could he say? Sure, he probably didn't need to be here... But he didn't want to just look away and pretend this didn't exist. So when he had been in the stands, he hadn't been expecting what came to pass.

An all too familiar face came out into the ring, with a purple saber, and demanding a fight while calling himself the 'Real Zero.' At first he'd been surprised, then his surprise morphed into confusion... And his confusion soon morphed into dread. A pit had formed in his stomach, and his eyes were caught staring at the purple beam saber before him. He could swear he'd seen it before, and he wasn't sure why.

... Which is why he decided to trust his gut. With a cry of "Megamerge!", he merged with Model A and jumped into the ring, ignoring the Biometal's confused yell.

"I don't know what you're talking about being the real Zero, but I'll take you on."

Gripping his busters, Grey glared the Reploid down, all while trying not to let his gaze be drawn towards that damnable saber. Why did it keep drawing his attention like that...?

...And, there one was.  Like a lamb to the slaughter, giving a yell of 'Megamerge!' and joining Omega into the arena.  Omega couldn't help but giving a descending smirk in the direction of this kid - before giving his saber a little twirl, and erupting into riotous laughter.  "Don't trouble yourself with figuring it out.  At the moment, you have bigger concerns."

This kid... well, for how fixated this kid seemed to be on Omega - and was this one glancing at his saber?  Omega supposed it was only appropriate to watch an opponent's weapon - Omega had no idea who this was supposed to be.  He was clearly a Reploid, but that didn't make Omega respect the boy any more at a glance.  If anything, in strengthened Omega's resolve - after all, the only place for a Reploid when faced with their messiah was on their knees.

And so, Omega gave a grin, before giving Gray his full attention as an opponent.  "I am the messiah!" Came his outburst, followed by another deep, deranged laugh, before the dark red Reploid's mouth settled on a grin, his eyes filled with bloodlust as he darted towards Grey, hoping to take advantage of the boy not taking the initiative with an attack.

Omega dashed towards the boy, brandishing his saber on high, faking as though he was intending to bring it down across Grey - before, suddenly, his posture would shift, and instead of using his Saber, Omega's body would twist and reveal a clenched fist, with Omega putting the full force of his dash straight into Grey's face - who said Zero only had to use a saber?

Regardless of that little maneuver's success, though, Omega would be on Grey in an instant, this time using his saber for real.  Busters were a real pain - especially since Omega's own was still offline - so Omega gunned first targeted each of Grey's arms, attempting to cut into them with enough force to make Grey's weapons a mother to use (even if it won't actually affect his rolls,) followed by a vertical swing across Grey's midsection.

...And to add insult to injury, Omega would follow this up by taking one of his hands off of his Saber and reaching towards the kid, attempting to grab him and hold him within arm's reach by the hair to make sure that damn buster didn't get too annoying with potshots from a distance.  Plus, there was a certain amount of satisfaction that came with it.

As Omega talked, Grey just couldn't keep his eyes of that damn saber. The feel of the air... The saber... It all kept striking him as just far too familiar, and he couldn't place why. Why... Why oh why oh WHY?! It was driving him crazy! He didn't even care about what Omega was saying, just because it didn't say anything about what he needed to be ready for. ... Until those four words rang out. Those four damnable words. And it all came rushing back.

Omega's Saber.

His saber.

His appearance that looked so much like Zero.

Those hands.

That cruel laugh.

Combat. Yelling.

Blood.

Half dead bodies.

"I am the Messiah!"

The person in front of him... It was that damn A-Trans. Omega was that damn fight. He was the Reploid Zero despised. He got it all now.

"You- You're no Zero! You're Omega-!"

Grey's yell of shock was cut off as Omega rushed in. All of those memories from that stupid mistake of his came flooding back. This explained why Zero hated that form he'd taken so much. Omega wasn't just a Biometal, it was a damn person!

His shock had totally thrown him off. He wasn't used to such a frenzied fighting style, so Omega suddenly switching to his fist with a feint successfully caught him off guard, and Grey sure caught that hand square to the jaw with a yell of pain. Crap, this was bad. Desperately recovering, he saw a saber coming for his arm, and his eyes widened in horror. This really was just how he'd fought while trapped by that A-Trans. How did he adapt to this?!

Grey yelled in pain as the saber slashed down his arm, drawing first blood. At least he'd managed to pull back in time for that not to hit anything critical... But he wasn't done yet, and he was being put in a corner, fast. He had started against the wall, and he was already running out of room to work with, and still had more slashes to deal with!

Once more the saber cut across his other arm, drawing another grunt of pain from Grey. But he wasn't going to just sit here and die. His eyes suddenly hardened, as instinct took over. Yeah, he couldn't die here. And if that A-Trans fought anything like this guy did... He was going to put the Megaman in the dirt if he was given the chance. Grey couldn't let that happen. With a sudden burst of agility, Grey managed to leap over the third saber slash, and kick off the wall over Omega's head to give himself more room to breath. Okay... Think Grey, think! What would he do next?! As a precaution, he held down the trigger on his right buster. He needed to be ready for if things went sour, fast.

Grey's eyes narrowed again. Just a grab? It really wasn't JUST a grab, was it? In case, he dashed to the side, confused. Seriously, just what the heck was that? It seemed so... Not thought out compared to the rest of that that he just couldn't process it. Whatever, this wasn't a time to think. He had a full charge ready, so he better just fire it off! Grey hissed slightly as he raised his buster, and fired the best shot he could manage as fast as he could.

He certainly wasn't going to be winning any marksmanship awards, but it would get the job done for his next action. He needed to make sure he had a way to keep himself up and going, stat. A war of attrition was gonna be his game if he wanted to make it out of this fight he picked alive. It was the only winning strategy he could see off the top of his head. Which is why he needed his Sub Tank online, pronto. Just had to divert energy... Dashing further back, Grey used his Charge Shot as a distraction to charge up his Sub-Tank in exchange for shields. He just hoped this didn't backfire...

"So you've met my fake, huh?" As Grey attempted to run away from Omega, Omega would be on him in an instant - given his lacking ranged capability, there wasn't anything for Omega to do but make sure Grey couldn't camp him out.  Dashing off of the wall behind him was a pretty decent way to escape, but it only delayed the inevitable.

...Oh, hey, that's a charge shot.  Omega's aggressiveness would be met with a charge shot at pretty close range.  That... well, that wasn't good.

As the charge shot bored towards Omega, he would make no attempt to dodge.  Instead, though, Grey would be able to notice Omega's O-Knuckle began to gather energy, his palm growing a bright purple as Omega flatly caught the charge shot, giving a grunt of exertion as he attempted to stop its forward momentum - followed by a pleased grin as, with a little extra force, he threw the charge shot into the ground, kicking up a sizeable amount of dust as the attack exploded.

...And then, there was a figure quickly emerging through the dust, lunging at Grey with a manic grin - and then, a pink saber being brandished on high.

A quick swipe at Grey's followed, followed by a quick slash at Grey's body, stretching from Grey's shoulder to his chest.  And, finally, he'd bring his saber back for another swipe across one of Grey's arms.  "Let me tell you a secret, runt - mere replicas are worthless to me.  I don't concern myself over if you're acquainted with trash."

Omega wasn't quite done waving his Saber around yet, though - he'd raise his saber high and execute a downward swipe - and from his blade, an electrified wave of energy would emit from it, aiming towards Grey.

And to top it all off, he'd draw his arm back and aim to clock Grey again, because fudge you in particular, I suppose.  It just seemed like a good idea at the time.

"The only fake here is you!"

That was the only response Grey could muster as he kept trying to stay the hell out of range. But when he saw what Omega did to his Charge Shot... His eyes widened in shock. That. That wasn't good. That really, REALLY wasn't good. This guy just completely no sold it without breaking a sweat! What the hell was that?! What did he do about THAT?!

The answer was... Not much. The poor Reploid promptly took another 2 slashes from Omega's saber, hissing in pain as his armor was slashes across the chest. He was being whittled down fast. Way, way too fast. He needed a new strategy, and he needed it now, because this wasn't working! He didn't acknowledge Omega's comment about Zero being supposedly a replica, as he dashed away from the third slash, eyes wide in panic. This was bad, this was really, really bad.

And his panic only made matters worse as the Crescent Blade struck. The electrified wave tore into him, and the Reploid let out a scream of pain as he was shocked. Crap crap CRAP! He just kept getting damaged, he wasn't going to make it! As the spasms from his body being electrocuted died down, Grey panted and looked up to be met... With a fist coming square for his face.

He couldn't even move back in time to try and lower the damage. He took his punch square in the nose, and was promptly sent head over heels back a few feet, collapsing into the dirt with a groan of pain. God, this was such a stupid fight to pick. He was getting his butt handed to him on a silver platter, and he wasn't sure what to do about it. But he needed to do SOMETHING if he wanted to stand a chance, and long range very clearly wasn't work.

Glaring, Grey got to his feet... As his systems locked on to Omega, before he raised his left Buster and fired off a purple shot of energy. The beam lanced through the air, warping through it to head straight for him. He didn't need this to hit though. It was just to stall.

Hit or not, Grey used the small window of time he'd made for himself. He had to work fast.

"A-Trans!"

... And in a flash, Grey went from his usual Megamerged self, into the form of Atlas, user of Model F. when next Grey spoke, a gruff female voice escaped her lips, practically snarling.

"If you like close range, I'll give you close range!"


This... Probably wasn't the best idea. But it was all Grey had in mind. This was a desperate scenario, and despite trying to sound confident, Grey was still very much feeling the heat as he grit his teeth, and got ready to try and avoid getting pounded into the dirt some more. Snarling, Grey dashed towards Omega, slamming one of the massive Busters square into Omega's chest with the force of a truck. ... While hoping to god he wasn't about to get thoroughly humiliated. Again.

And while his first solid punch was thrown out... Grey charged up a second with his left hand. He needed to hit, and he needed to hit HARD. All the energy built up in his left fist... And was promptly unleashed in another strike, intent on putting Omega in the ground this time, all while sending out a silent prayer to anyone who would listen. Please, oh PLEASE hit.

Omega gave a satisfied grin as he tore into Grey - he wants putting up much of a fight, was he?  Omega came out here to attack people and was having such a good time right now.  Saber swings, punches, every blow brought Omega more glee.  As Grey got back up, Omega was prepared to cut him down to size once again - only for the runt to strike back.

The surprise of the boy finally beginning to shoot back got the best of him as Omega took a hot, gritting his teeth in the process - only for it to be replaced with a pleased grin.  Following that, though - the boy 'A-Trans'ed, and took a different form entirely, and began an assault of his own.

It was close, but Grey's attack would manage to strike at Omega, with Omega giving a hiss.  Internally, he'd already be able to feel it - his systems redirecting all of his energy for sustaining himself into greater power.  It was one of Weil's many 'upgrades' to the body - because turning your trump card into something of a kamikaze was usually a good idea.

Nonetheless, another attack was coming his way, and that probably needed to be dealt with.

The final strike, on the other hand, would meet Omega's hand, as he used brute fucking strength to catch the incoming attack, giving a snarl at Grey before drawing his fist back, O-Knuckle charging, and-

And then there was the Saber, ejected and being aimed to slice into Grey.  In particular, Omega was aiming for Grey's arms and the big-ass busters this time - getting punched around would not have been particularly pleasant, so best to just cut that off if he could.

And then, he'd close in, balling his fist for a fierce uppercut aimed at Grey's jaw in an attempt to stagger the boy.

Grey's face visibly morphed into one of terror as his charged attack was so smoothly stopped. His thought process shut down again. What... What did he do with Omega able to just... COMPLETELY NO SELL Grey's strongest attack from Model F? What... What did he do to get out of this fight? He was... He was terrified.

He didn't want to die.

In Grey's terror, he completely failed to realize that the O-Knuckle strike was coming his way, and he promptly took it to his arm, yelling in pain. Crap, crap crap crap! What did he do, what did he do what did he do?! He couldn't think of a way out of this! If he had more A-Transes available to him, maybe he could find a way out, but with just a couple from around the Life Sphere, Model A, and Model F?

He didn't think he could make it. As Omega's saber came in anew, he panicked, grit his teeth, and put up his shield. Desperately he tried to weather the storm that was Omega, but he wasn't sure that was going to be enough...

... As the final strike came in, Grey opened an eye... And saw a chance. One, singular chance to make it out of this. He needed to do damage. He needed to do it NOW. OR ELSE. His arms hurt like hell, but screw it, this was the only chance he'd get!

Desperately, he lashed out with a charge shot, trying to catch Omega off guard while he still had some wriggle room. Being up close might, just might, give him the edge he needed to surprise Omega. But that done, he gave one more desperate attack, slamming his other buster into the ground with a yell, a wave of fire flying out. Come on, give him SOMETHING to work with!

There was something so, so satisfying about seeing the light in an opponent's eyes die - when the simple reality that they'd never really stood a chance slapped them in the face.  That was true for Grey as much as it was for anyone else - watching the hope in him die before Omega ripped into him was ever-so satisfying to witness.

Omega's first attack connecting was, of course, satisfying as ever, and only then did the boy take the defensive - attempting to hold out for as long as possible, Omega assumed?  Of course, it wasn't that easy.  It never was.

When pushed to the brink, people ultimately had the choice of giving up entirely or giving one final, desperate push back.  And Grey's hope may have died, but Omega could see it in his eyes - Grey hadn't run out of fight yet, either.  When the boy raised his buster to strike back, Omega was already dropping towards the ground, his hand aimed towards the earth as a beam of energy would erupt around him to weaken the attack and heal Omega's wounds.

And weakened, the attack was... although not by much.  The damage reduction and then heal combined, however, did manage to buffer some of the damage, at least - Omega would recoil from the attack, but probably not quite as damaged as Grey would've hoped.  And even from that damage alone, Omega could feel himself strengthening.

Grey's assault wasn't quite done yet, and he attempted to shoot a wave of fire at Omega, but even in spite of Omega's weakened defenses, he gauged he probably had the power left to stop something like that.

With Grey's attacks out of the way, though, Omega's mouth contorted into a crazed grin - bloodthirsty, and sizing Grey up like a predator might contemplate the taste of prey, only before lunching at Grey, drawing his fist back and attempting to lash out at Grey with a burst of raw, concussive force from the enhanced power of his fist!

Omega felt pretty good about that one - and then he'd eject his saber, and, hopefully before Grey could even catch a breath from dodging or tanking that hit, he'd back into tearing into the boy after a moment.  By this point, Omega had forgone the more disciplined movements from before, and was and was treating his Saber more like a blunt object to ungracefully swing at Grey.  And the whole time, he was... laughing?

Grey panted as he watched in despair, while his final attempts to fight back were crushed into dust. That was it. He was finished. He didn't have anything left... And Omega was coming for him. He knew that grin. He'd felt it on his own lips. He knew what it meant. And he really didn't want to experience what was coming next. Desperately, he tried to get out of the way of Omega's next punch. He had a horrible feeling about what was coming next, and he really, really didn't want to experience it.

But... That was happening. He took it square to the face, his body visibly sparking... As the A-Trans suddenly fell.

"No-!"

In the shock of his own transformation no longer being sustainable, the Reploid fell to his knee, coughing. Crap, he was really feeling this now... Nononono... His body sparked as the various damage to his body and armor became visible. He was... Really in bad shape.

"Can't... D-Die... H-Here..."

Grey's eyes were visibly flickering as he tried to stand again, to no avail. His arms fell to his side, Busters officially worthless. He tried to raise his arms, growling... But unable to do much of anything.

"M-Monster..."

... He couldn't dodge the final hits. He couldn't deflect them either. Grey yelled in pain as Omega tore into him one last time. His armor gave way, and he was forced to de-merge, before falling to the grown... He was totally deactivated. Grey was lucky he wasn't dead. But he wasn't going to be moving again in the near future.1d20-1

Omega gave an amused snort, grabbing Grey's deactivated body by the collar of his armor, sizing him up.  Clearly not moving... probably.  Could just be an actor waiting to get the jump on Omega.  So, Omega did what only any reasonable murder-bot would do... holding him up with one arm, he drew the other one back, feeling the O-Knuckle gather in strength - and then hit him again.

And again.

And again!

His grin never left his face.  When Omega decided that Grey had been satisfactorily double-tapped, though, he threw the boy to the ground.  He had been the one to get in too deep - why should Omega grant him the honor of moving him out of the arena?  His surging bloodlust begged Omega to strike the boy even more, but his mind knew a fruitless endeavor when he saw one - the boy was hardly even a threat.

Then again, what should he have expected?  The boy knew Zero, and Omega could only expect the replica to keep weak company with him, as weak as Zero was. 

With his part in this fight done, Omega would simply draw in the O-Saber's blade and move to leave the arena, his desire for carnage quelled for the moment.  But he had the feeling that, at some point, he'd making his return to the stadium.  This place was fun.
