In the skies above the arena was an area known as Final Destination. A battleground with it's flat surface and in a fancy thorn sitting near one competitor's edge was a girl called Moon. Nebby floated behind the throne, looming like bat wings and a moon over the champion's throne... she probably pulled out of some tear in space. It looked like her throne in Alola and she was doing the dramatics before her challenger even arrived...

Speaking of challenger. Moon left a note for White. "I want to give you a proposition but you have to meet me on Final Destination. I'll explain in more detail when you do," it said simply. Despite the girl's theatrics, saying she wasn't nervous would be a clear lie. She made this decision rather suddenly and... a lot could go wrong with it but she wanted to stick to her guns-er, bow. Stick to her bow.

"Yo." A young girl's voice called out.

"...I'm here~!"

White made her way over to address Moon face to face. "You're looking really good. It's nice to think I had a role in that. How're you adjusting to being out on your own again and walking for yourself and stuff?" White greeted in a lightly playful tone. "...Honestly, I actually missed 'carrying you around' a lot more than I expected. I've actually been feeling a little depressed." she added, looking away in a slightly bashful manner. "Sorry if you didn't invite me here to talk about my feelings. Speaking of which, what did you invite me here for? I assume it involved a battle." White went on to apologize and ask. It was the stadium after all. It would be a pretty terrible place for anything that didn't involve a battle.

"... Well, as good at recovering as your... solution was, I still needed a change of outfit. Fortunately I made sure to have a lot of Alolan fashion on hand. What do you think?" She posed a bit in her throne. However the next comment made her blush a bit. "Well I'd be lying if I said I hated it, it felt nice at times, but if you kept me any longer I think my legs might of grown unused to walking on their own and I kind of need those," she bashfully remarked. It felt really weird admitting she liked that but she has come to accept a lot of things she didn't consider before.

"Actually you're only half right. Feelings is exactly why I called you here. It does involve a battle though..." Moon remarked as she stood up from her throne, Nebby floating by her side. "I had a lot of time to think about it and... I want you to be part of my family! And for that you need a Pokeball~," she declared, flashing a Pokeball. "... But normally you have to weaken your Pokemon so that's the point of this battle. I challenge you to a Pokemon Battle, loser has to become the other's Pokemon!" she declared... a weird sentiment... especially since she did not really explain the first part.

"So, Champion White, do you accept my challenge?" she added to her statement. She didn't want to catch White unaware if she did manage to win after all. It probably sounded really weird but she has had a lot of time to work up the guts to say this.... Pun not intended.

White paused for a good long moment, considering Moon's offer. ...Her smile broadened. "...Honestly, I would've had concerns if you asked any other way." White replied rather casually. "Everything in life can be understood through pokemon battles. Disagreements, politics, friendship, loves, and even ourselves. Things that are hard to put into words. Even in this new world full of people with beliefs and ideals that differ from ours, I think that's something I'd like to cling onto and preserve." White explained, producing a pokeball and releasing her lopunny, Vivian! The pokemon struck a combative pose, weirdly aggressive for her species. "You're on. Just don't expect me to go easy, okay? I've gotta show you what I can give, so I'll be giving this everything I've got!" White challenged.

"Yep! Pokemon Battles are a great way to communicate without needing to do so verbally. You can feel things like conviction, resolve, passion and so many other feelings. It's a great way to convey whatever you want to say without saying it. It's half the fun of a battle," Moon nodded happily... loves right. She was a bit worried White might disagree at her weirdness with the family and Pokemon thing but agreeing to the battle got her resolve going fulltime. "Oh, I know what you got but even then I'd be disappointed if you held back. After all, me and Nebby are giving our all in this too! In the name of the Moon, we will make you ours~!" she declared in a... over the top manner, making use of her catchphrase in a different manner as Nebby gave a scree of agreement as he flew ahead of Moon.

"Nebby, it's time to do your thing! Cosmic Power! Night Shade!" she declared. A powerful glow began eminating from Nebby as the light flowed through it's wings, being eaten up from the surroundings."Your light. GIVE IT TO ME!" the cosmic scree as Vivian might notice a presence begin to hang over her. The light would begin to fade from her eyes and cause her to temporarily go blind if it was not fight back against the cosmic force.

Nebby did not stop at trying to leech the light from Vivian however as it began firing lasers of light from it's wing tips to try and blast the Lopunny with their concentrated force, using the light it built up from the surroundings before a slash of darkness would end the combo to send her back.

Crickety crack, there goes Vivian's back! Forced back by the onslaught and rendeed blind, Vivian cried out and dropped to her knees, folding her ears in front of her in anticipation of another attack. After a moment, she parted her eyes and sort of ...grimaced, squinting at no one in particular as she tried to see. Yet, no light met her eyes. A soft squeak of distress escaped her, and she lowered her gaze back down for a moment.

...This was what she trained her entire life for.

Vivian's ears lifted slightly and she concentrated, an image forming in her mind. She could feel a great many presences in the dark void that was her  vision, many of them lining the stadium walls. One stood behind her. Another in front. And a large, powerful presence was hovering in the air above the ground. That was her opponent.

Vivian abruptly got back up and lunged forward at Nebby without so much as opening her eyes, gracefully throwing a series of punches with her ears as if she somehow knew the other was there! In fact, Nebby could even observe Vivian trying to zone in on her weakspots, targeting them with an implausible precision given the circumstances.

followed by a series of phantom punches at the air that never even stood a chance of hitting yet created a vacuum effect that violently yet invisibly lashed at Nebby as they passed by.

All of a sudden though, a magical pink heart shot across the arena! It was headed straight for Nebby, where it would cutely explode into many smaller hearts. From her position standing across from Moon, White's hand was held oustretched from where she'd thrown the heart, demonstrating the love magic she'd used to save and heal Moon in its more offensive form. She didn't much look the part of a magical girl, but that wouldn't stop her from trying her hardest.

Nebby wasn't expecting the rabbit to see with her ears instead of her eyes and as a result was slammed by the first punch. The bat however was quick to recover as she seemed to almost morph around the next two blows like malleable darkness. Then with even more grace the bat dodged away from the punches. Then came the final attack, a heart like magic to which Nebby very narrowly bashed away with a phantasmic claw, wincing a bit at the hearts. That was attack magic alright.

"Oh wow! Your love magic is improving, White~!" Moon fangirled for a moment before taking her bow off her back and putting an arrow on it. "Now, let's show them our power, Nebby! In the Moon's Light this arrow will bathe. Soon it's target will be filled with that light as well. Special Art, Shining Arrow!" Moon declared as Nebby filled Moon's arrow with light before she fired it with extreme accuracy at Vivian, the arrow exploding into the light of the moon as it impacted.
