Life Sphere citizen! By reading this mission statement, you are now legally obligated to sign up! That’s how that works, right? If so…

The Life Sphere government owes me TEN MILLION COINS!

There we go. I’ll be expecting a check in the mail by next tuesday. But enough about my get-rich-quick schemes!

You, Life Sphere citizen, have the rare opportunity to perform a little “Beta-Test.” You see, since I showed up here, I’ve noticed that the people here don’t have their priorities in check! Everyone’s worried about dumb stuff like “disease,” or “famine,” or “Life Sphere leaders being villians in disguise.” HA! What a bunch of dummies! Everyone knows that there is one thing that people SHOULD be worried about more than anything: GHOOOOOSTS! Like me!

To show people what TRUE horror is (and to make a few bucks), I’ve gotten some “hired help” to aid in the construction and operation of something I like to call…..

SNATCHER’S HAUNTED HOUSE!

Yeah, it’s basically what it sounds like. But it’s not ready yet! I need some brave citizens to make sure that the experience is fair, enjoyable, and not too lethal. You’ll be joined by an old friend of mine. She owes me a favor anyway. Plus, since she helped design a few parts of it, I'm sure she’d enjoy the opportunity to try it herself at no charge.


SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! SIGN UP ALREADY!


Objective: Get through the entire haunted house without dying or something stupid like that.

Sub-Objective: Give Snatcher some constructive criticism! Don’t worry, he’ll probably appreciate it .

"A haunted house...? Debt in the sphere? Beta-testing??"

A lofty page describing the offer in full (including the plentiful fine print) fluttered in Heimerdinger's hands, with the revered yordle scientist giving it a thorough look-over. Mulling out loud to himself, the eyes behind his trademark goggles began to widen with awe as he uncovered the details on the advertisement...

"There can only be one thing that this means! Beta-testing is no doubt grounds for repetitive testing and plentiful research. And that research means... there will be much science at hand!! Why yes, this document is incredibly persuasive despite its dubious claims of legality! I feel obligated not in accordance with the law, but in accordance with my will, to sign up!

FOR GREAT BETA-TESTING!!"

And with that, the yordle was off, not knowing what he's gotten himself into... not that such a concern ever stopped him before in his scientific endeavors.

"A haunted house?  That's... hm."

Y'know, when Tatsuya went to go looking for missions to do in order to try and make a name for himself or keep his skills sharp, this wasn't quite what he was expecting.  That being said, though... he didn't have anything better to do?  Like, sure, eternal punishment and atonement and all, but that didn't mean that he wasn't going to get very bored if he had to sit around and do nothing but train for another day.

"...Yeah, what the hell. Sure. Let's see what this is all about." The mission was sus enough that this haunted house may need to be dealt with anyways. He'd had worse times. Accepting the mission, he went to go check out the haunted house in question.
