[Nostalgia]

The Pink Vessel ran excitedly out into the center of the arena, already smiling with anticipation as they waited for their opponent to walk in through the opposite door. One would almost think they've fought here before and are now wearing different clothes thinking it is a perfect disguise. Things like that would of course be completely false. The Vessel stuck their needle into the dirt and straightened out their dress slightly, reaching up and puffing up their bow, reaching into their dress and pulling out a sign to write a message for when their opponent arrived.

I hope we can have a fun fight together, after this you can show me a movie if you want to!

They set it up and looked it over for a moment before smiling, satisfied with it as they looked to the other arena door and waited for Joe.

Entering the arena Joe had been in his regular outfit. Why in his regular outfit you might ask? Joe wanted to show off like usual as he paced into farther in and seeing the crowd before him.

Waving his hands to them all he would then see Pink Vessel before him which was obviously Blue Vessel all dressed up. "Okay then sure but I get to pick the movie if I win." Joe said as he then took his usual stance as his V-Watch started to glow and called out those signature words of his. "Henshin-A-Go-Go-Baby!" Suddenly Joe transformed as his superhero outfit exploded onto him and he would strike a pose with another explosion behind him.



"Okay you ready? Because I'm not going to hold back." He would say as he struck another pose.

"Mach Speed!" Joe said as he charged at Pink Vessel with super sonic speed and attempted to hit them with a combo attack full of punches and kicks.

After the 3rd hit Joe would launch Pink Vessel into the air with an uppercut if the blow before hit and then jump up to do another one of his signature moves. "Red Hot Kick!" he would yell out as he attempted to dive kick into Pink Vessel midair with a flaming kick.

Joe was very likely to miss that attack so he would expend one of his VFX bars to convert into 200 Viewtiful Points then land behind Pink Vessel and turn towards them. "Alright bring it on." he said putting up his fists at the ready.

Pink raised a hand and excitedly waved to Joe as they walked into the arena, smiling happily at them. They went to write again, but were interupted by Joe's transformation, not having any time to react before Joe suddenly bolted towards them to attack!

The Vessel didn't have time to protect themself from the first attack, eyes going wide as they were suddenly hit.

Their shield deactivated at the end of the Flurry, the Vessel looking down at their slightly burned clothes and looking back up to Joe with a pout, dashing to the side and slipping out of the way of the attack.

Now it was the Vessel's turn to attack, their brow a bit furrowed as they grabbed up their nail and faced Joe. They kept their soft pink eye's locked onto Joe's for a few moments before they dropped to the ground on their knees, holding a hand to the floor as the floor rumbled underneath Joe! (Call of the Void, 2 actions, +2 to hit, Target's Wis, 30% damage on hit)

The shadows around Joe suddenly lengthened, massive tendrils made of void shooting from them and slashing through the air to smack and stab at the speedy movie-goer.

The Vessel stood up again before starting to quickly sprint around the room, keeping an eye locked onto Joe. (Bind, Targets Wis, 5% damage, 100% chance of Slowed)

An especially sharp eye might be able to catch sight of a nearly invisible thread trailing behind the Vessel and get out of the way, the vessel coming to a sudden stop and giving the thread a violent yank to make it tighten suddenly and try to constrict around Joe and tie them up. Joe was even faster than Vessel, something they didn't think they'd ever see, but the Vessel knew just the way to get around it.

Joe is suddenly thrown off balance as the floor started to quake and would damage him for 30% health!

As Viewtiful Joe recovered from that last attack PV seemed to speed toward him with what seemed to be a good speed but what were they doing? Joe would attempt to check.

It was too late however as Joe was then ensnared by the invisible thread. Viewtiful Joe was slowed to a stop as he could not move as fast as he usually could. "Wait what did you do to me?" he would ask in confusion. 

Joe would feel how slow he was now and would do what he could to attack Pink Vessel still. 

"I'm not out of this yet! Let's go Slow Motion!" Suddenly it seemed like time distorted around Joe for a mere moment as his attacks would get faster once again. 

~Slow Motion: Upon activation of this skill Joe is granted a boost of STR and DEX of 4 for 2 turns giving a +2 modifier. Any attacks that land during the time period this skill is active have a 10% chance of Slow on the foe per attack. Duration is 2 turns with a 3 turn cooldown. [CON]

~Recovering his VFX after his last turn Joe would expend the bar gained to grant himself extra damage in the form of a 1d8 die.  

Moving his hand toward the air he would summon a large cannon that would appear out of nowhere. "Six Cannon Fire!" 

~DEX Roll for Six Cannon: DEX is halved so it's 10 because of the Slow status and the Slow Motion ability increases it back to 14 giving a +2 Modifier. Six Cannon does 25% damage if it hits and 6% recoil to Joe.

The Vessel smiled slightly to themself as they saw both of their hits land, their satisfaction turning to curiosity as they noticed Joe suddenly starting to move faster again, their head tilting a little in curiosity.

Unfortunately for the Vessel, they got so distracted with thinking about what was happening, they forgot to dodge! Taking the brunt of the blast directly (31% damage)

The Vessel winced at the blow, and then just a bit more as the fire added insult to injury. (1% fire damage)

With a little huff the Pink Vessel straightened them self up again, thinking about how odd it was both of their foes so far in the arena have had some way to manipulate time. As they thought about it, they figured they might as well speed up a bit themself. Pink gel slowly spread out accross their wings, temporarily healing them and starting to flap to life (+2 to Dex and Cha mods for 2 turns.)


They didn't ponder it long however before they flicked their needle up, suddenly throwing it at Joe like a spear (8% damage, targets Dex, 3x)

Finally with the Needle back in their hands they held it up high,their eyes closing and their body remaining still for a moment before their body suddenly flickered in a bright flash of white! When someone would look again the Vessel would be gone.(18% damage, Targets Wis)

As he landed the hit of the Six Cannon he pumped his fist into the air as it connected. Moving ever slower now no thanks to that thread earlier Joe would have to attempt to dodge Pink Vessel's moves with much more effort than before. As the spear like needle started its descent through the air Joe would attempt to dodge.

The Vessel giggled slightly to itself as it saw Joe's reaction to getting stabbed at, reaching up and covering where their mouth would be as they smiled. As Joe ran towards the Vessel again they gave a small wink.

Another kick? The Pink Vessel kept an eye on Joe as they lept up, quickly hopping backwards out of harm's way with a little flourish.

Things are speeding up again! The Vessel tensed a bit, eyes firmly locked on Joe with an excited light in their eyes. Even with Joe's increased speed, the Vessel's nimble feet kept up, grinning and moving a bit like they were dancing.

That was, of course, until they suddenly got shot by a cannon.

After a moment The Vessel brought her head up again, shaking it a bit and standing up, brushing off their dress with a pout.

After it was clear of dust the Vessel turned back to Joe, still pouting a bit as the light blue coating their wings suddenly started to spread over their entire body. (Lifeblood Sheild, Activated, 3 turns)

Raising their needle again they pointed to Joe before suddenly reeling back and throwing it full force! (8% damage, targets Dex, combo)

Instead of throwing the needle a third time they kept it in their hand this time. The Vessel had an interesting idea... their body suddenly began flickering again! (18% damage, targets Wis)

Directly above Joe the Pink Vessel suddenly appeared, needle already pointed downwards as gravity helped them stab down towards Joe.

Finally, the Vessel's wings fluttered a little, the blue coating dissipating away.

Joe was starting to look in amazement as Pink Vessel dodged nearly all of his attacks. But he did manage to land one attack where it mattered scoring him more viewtiful points for him. But it would not be enough as the creature went back on the offensive, Joe would attempt to dodge once more as he felt slower than usual.

With each successful strike on Joe the Vessel seemed to straighten a little, just a bit more energy in them. (Lifeblood shield restored 9% health from last turn).

As the Vessel saw Joe preparing another cannon shot they silently lamented to themself how much those shells hurt.

Once again rising from the dust the Vessel didn't bother to dust off this time. Getting hit with cannons twice in a row was really starting to hurt...

Joe managed to land another hit with his Six Cannon but that wouldn't be enough as the Pink Vessel would go on the offensive again and try to attack him.

Joe was not amused at this point. His speed kept getting reduced and this was keeping him from doing some of his best attacks. 

"Would you stop that?! This is totally killing my flow!" Joe was getting frustrated with Pink Vessel at this point as he then would attempt to dodge the last attack.

Now very annoyed Joe would go on the defensive as he decided to play it smart this time now. Using the viewtiful points he gathered he would spend it on a Half Combo Meal and a Cheeseburger before his shop went on Cooldown. 

Spending another action to eat the Half Combo Meal he would recover 20% health. 

"Mmm Yummy!" he would say as he ate it.

Joe got up and would go on the offensive now as he attempted a Red Hot Kick once more.

Seeing the second one coming down even harder the Vessel tried to dash backwards, nearly perfect, but just not enough to avoid it entirely.

The Pink Vessel panetd softly as Joe fell, kneeling down a little and slumping to catch their breath.

After a few moments they walked over to Joe, white energy radiating from them as they kneeled beside Joe, reaching out and gently pressing their hand to Joe's back, their wings coating in blue again. White energy radiated around them once again, their eyes closing before the energy went into Joe instead.
